I gave you all my best me's, my endless empathy

Do I throw out everything we built or keep it?

Sometime Later

"I want to fix everything that went wrong between us."

"I know it won't be easy or simple but i'm here now."

"I'm sorry. For alot. I made alot of mistakes."

"I could of gotten a car to pick me up. But you wanting to do it."

"You paying for the rehab. Putting Bridget first."

"I don't know how to thank you or show my gratefulness."

"I was a mess. Angry. Checked out."

"I didn't care about my life or the future."

"That letter you wrote was a wake up call. You leaving."

"I needed all of it."

"I hate who i became. That i let you down." Lucas proclaimed.

As the two were seated beside each other in the living room.

The family had just had lunch and Bridget was down for a nap.

Lucas never realized how much he missed taking care of Bridget. Changing her into a new outfit. Reading her a story.

He was relieved she wouldn't remember him being away.

Brooke swallowed hard. Wrapping her arms around herself.

Blinking back tears of what truthfully she wasn't sure.

"I wanted the opposite for Bridget then what we had."

"You seem ready to do that now. We're a team on that."

"Parents. As for our marriage."

"We'll see where things go. I missed you." Brooke said.

"I missed you too. Thinking about you and Bridget is only way i got through any of this."

"You're all that matters to me." Lucas proclaimed. The emotion in his voice thick.

"Is this how you thought our lives would turn out.?" Brooke asked.

"Us ending up together. I never lost hope we would." Lucas replied.

"You're my life. My world. At least you used to be."

"I don't know what comes next for you and me. This marriage."

"Being vunerable was never simple for me. And now."

"You remind me of the worst time in my life. I don't know how to fix that or change it." Brooke confessed.

She then excused herself ans made it clear she had to step out to her store.

Lucas felt his heart sink. He was un prepared for just how much honesty he was getting from her.

"You need to remove yourself from this Brooke."

"Lucas has shown you he is in capable of being a proper husband and he's clearly unfit to parent. I mean how much more do you need to endure before you realize. He's a lost cause.?" Victoria questioned.
