Chapter 10

Two days after meeting with Adam in the castle, Ash and the others continue their quest by bringing the people to the next town for the next gym. Ash and Alice are not happy because they get one of the gym leader groups. And the reason why they are not happy is because Misty is in that particular group and the road is filled with Bug Type Pokemon.

Other than Misty, Cilan, Brock, Kiawe, Mallow, and Lana are also in that group as well. Ash, being the nice guy now, says, "Now before we head to Route 2, there are a few things that I need to explain. To get to the next town, we have to go through the Bugger Forest. As the name implies, there are going to be a lot of Bug Type Pokemon on the road. So I hope you're all prepared."

Everyone nods, but Misty raises a hand and asks, "Can I not go in there? I hate Bugs!"

"Sorry, it is the only way to get to the next town. We are not going to leave anyone behind. If you really are scared, just find a Bug Specialist and they will help you."

In the particular group, Bugsy, Burgh, Viola, and Katy slightly sigh a little, and then they head to Route 2.

(Notice: In the game, you will be having a Rival battle on this route and after you win against him, you'll get the HM01 for Cut)

"This route is filled with Cut Trees, but I'm sure that a lot of you have Pokemon that can use Cut, right?" Alice asks.

The others nod as they use the Pokemon to cut through trees, but after they leave, they find the trees are growing back. It is not surprising since the other regions have the same thing.

While getting into the Bugger Forest, Ash says, "The Pokemon here in the Bugger Forest are Bug Type Pokemon, but there is a chance you'll find a Farfetch'd here as well. Now we'll be spending half a day here before we go to the next location."

The others nod as they start to set up picnic blankets and also other things. Misty is also reluctant to leave, but the others are dragging her. Ash and Alice look at the group and they remember the conversation that happened a lot of days before.

(Flashback)

"You mean ruining them individually? Are you sure that'll work?" Mark asks.

"We don't know about that, but we can try to bet everything." Adam says. "I'm not happy for those people who killed my wife to roam around the region without having any punishment."

"We aren't." Ash says. "But then again, that might be a good idea. And I think I already know who to go first."

The others look at Ash's dark expression as they shiver a little.

Ash and Alice are now walking alone, they stop in front of a rock that shapes like a Beast Ball, and he says, "What we didn't tell them is here in the specific spot if they get the Key Item Ultra Beast Remote, they can open up an Ultra Wormhole here and get accessed to one of the Ultra Wormhole spots."

"Yeah." Alice says, "We can thank the Aether Foundation and our own Ultra Beasts to make it possible." Alice says as she takes out the remote that is blue colored and aqua blue crossing lines. "This one is for Buzzwole, and close to here is another Beast Ball Stone that opens up the portal to the Pheromosa world."

"You're right about that." Ash says. "The Buzzwole World is the Ultra Jungle. The Ultra Jungle is a large expansive jungle containing both regular trees as well as several larger trees in the shape of muscular beings flexing their upper torso and arms. These larger trees are either free-standing or connected with vines we can walk across. A river also winds between the connected trees, and there is an active smoking volcano in the center of the map which will erupt as well."

Alice says, "Ultra Desert is a vast desert landscape filled with turquoise crystals and flowing sand. There are several rocky structures and monoliths scattered around the landscape as well as what appear to be small clusters of shrubs. There are several rocks that require the HM for Strength to move around, including one giant rock. We will also need the HM for Rock Climb to go past some areas as well."

Then they also continue to walk as they reach the next Regi Temple. Burgh is standing there as she is admiring the beauty of the temple. Ash says, "You like this temple?"

"Ah, Red and Aurora. This temple sure is beautiful, although I have never seen this one before, is this the new Regi made by Regigigas?"

"Yes, this belongs to Regihive, the Bug Type Regi that is covered itself with cobwebs. Regihive likes to live in dark places and make cobwebs around its living area. It has a signature ability known as Resupply, which acts just like Leftovers. It also has a signature move Web Sight, which is a Bug Move that pierces through Protect and other uses."

"This is really surprising to know." Burgh says. "I can see a lot of inspiration with the Pokemon."

Just then, they hear a loud scream, Ash sighs, "I wonder what's going on..."

When everyone gets to where the others are located, they find a giant Heracross sipping on the nectar of the tree. Ash says, "I was wondering why you're screaming. Don't worry, this Heracross is a Totem Pokemon. If you prove your worth to him, you'll be able to get a Bug Type Z Crystal from him."

Erika says, "You know, the road here is not easy to move, can you tell us why?"

"It was an aftermath caused by Team Rainbow." Ash shakes his head. "They overgrow the forest and try to attack us. Fortunately, we manage to stop their plans."

(Flashback)

"If I'm correct, Team Rainbow's next target would be the Insect Plate in the Bugger Forest. They don't know where the Legend Plate is located, but we still can't let them do as they please in our own region." Ash says.

"So where did you hide the Insect Plate?" Lillie asks.

"It's in the Hidden Grotto." Alice says. "We make sure that-"

"Guys! Watch out!" Insey suddenly yells, and just then, the roots of the tree start to grow and they have to jump out of the way. Helen asks, "What the hell is going on?"

"Those vines... they reminded me of the vines from Team Flare's Megalith..." David says.

"Do you think is the work of Team Rainbow? We know for sure that this doesn't even happen in Bugger Forest." Golly says.

And much to their horror, Team Rainbow grunts are there to block their path, so they have to fight their way through until they find a man with green hair and the Torterra by his side.

"Nice work, Torterra. All that's left is to open this place. Flygon! Flamethrower!" The man yells as he cuts open the hidden grotto, but just before he can enter, Ash says, "Stop what you're doing now!"

The man turns around and says, "Oh my... I assume you're the people who defeated Ruby, Ambrose, and Amythest... It will be polite if I introduce myself. The name's Emerald, and as you can see, I like to use Pokemon that are color green."

"Yeah, we noticed that when we're fighting Ruby and the others. If you're trying to search for the Legend Plate, then forget about it. What's inside that grotto is not what you're looking for." Ash says.

"Of course, the Champion of this region has to know where the item that we want is located." Emerald says. "And you won't tell me unless I force you to battle me."

"You're right about that." Then Ash and Emerald have a battle. Emerald uses Scyther to battle, but Ash goes with his own Pikachu. After battling for a while, Scyther faints in the end.

"As expected from the Champion. I of course know this is not going to be a battle that I can win." Emerald says, and much to their surprise, Emerald rushes into the grotto.

"Hey! Come back here!" Nate yells as they also rush in. Emerald is already taking the Insect Plate and says, "Looks like you're right about this not being the Legend Plate. But don't mind if I take it for myself, after all, it boosts the power of the Bug Type Pokemon after all."

"That Insect Plate doesn't belong to you! Give that back to us!" Alice says.

"How about I give you an answer? No. Flygon! Take off time!" Just then, he rides on the Flygon, and about to leave, Ash and the others are trying to use Pokemon attacks, but it is too late.

"Damn... he got away with the Insect Plate!" Bryce says.

"I don't think we should worry too much about this." Daniel says, and Ash asks, "Why, Daniel?"

"Simple, we are the only ones who know where the Legend Plate is located, so they will now come after us for information. What we should do now is wait for the right moment until we get the Insect Plate back." Daniel says.

"I guess that's fair." Ash mutters.

"Besides, we have bigger problems." Lucine says as they see the forest is still growing and the vines are still coming after them. Ash says, "Helen, can you burn them down?"

"If I burn the forest, what about the Bug Pokemon in the forest?" Helen asks.

"Yeah, Brother. I don't think that's a good idea." Insey says.

"To avoid the forest fire, we will need some Water Types to put off the fire after it starts to burn." Ash says, "Reisa, Mark, both of you are Water Type Specialists. I'm giving the job to you."

"No problem." Mark says as they clean the overgrowing plants and trees, and after they are complete the road is now better for trainers to pass, and the Bug Type Pokemon that are hiding also come out as well.

(Flashback Ends)

"And this is where the Insect Plate is located." Ash says as they all get into the Hidden Grotto, and the Bug Plate is shown in front of them.

"Like the Blank Plate, the Insect Plate here boosts the power of the Bug Type Pokemon, and it was once stolen by Team Rainbow." Alice says. "And after that incident, we forbid anyone to touch the plate unless having permission from Arceus. If you touch the plate, let's say that we have set up traps."

"What kind of traps? Is it like the attack from Regigigas just like in the temple?" Katy asks.

"No. We have some web cannons around the forest. If you touch the plate, then the cannons will fire and have you covered in sticky webs. And trust me, they are really disgusting."

Everyone doesn't want to try it out, so they quickly leave the grotto. Misty says, "So how long are we going to stay in this forest?"

"Unfortunately for you, the town is located in the middle of the forest." Ash sighs.

"No way!" Misty yells in horror as they continue to move forward.

Here is a new chapter, and in this chapter, I show some plots of the second part of the region and the Team Rainbow attack. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be in Resout Town and meeting Insey and battling.
