Jim

As soon as his engine drove away in silence he was feeling in his pit that something might have happened. He was fidgeting and was not able to concentrate on driving. He just dropped off Mayim a few moments ago, why is she suddenly making him worried? He parked his car in the street and rested his forehead on the steering wheel as he doesn't know what he was feeling and he might crash his car if he continue.

When he began to feel a bit better and had placed his key back in the ignition when his phone suddenly rang and saw Mayim's name on his screen. He was scared to answer the call because he just left, and what would've happened to her at this hour? He tried to calm the things that were worrying him inside his head. Should he worry? As soon as he picked up the phone, there were no hi and hello's it was a stern request of her needing him. He answered that he will be right there in a minute. He pulled up into her parking space and quickly ran up to her floor. He knows her apartment number as she had mentioned it before in their exchange of conversations. When he arrived on the floor, her door was ajar and he can see it from afar. He ran up to her door and knocked on it.

"Mayim? It's Jim!" he called from outside as he gently pushed the door and looked inside the apartment. Mayim roused from the living room and walked up to him in a warm embrace without saying anything. She bawled her eyes out at his chest not saying anything. He closed the door behind him. The apartment was dark and he couldn't see a lot of things. While Mayim was still on his chest, he looked around to find a switch to turn some lights on. There was one near him and he flicked it to illuminate the dark room while his other hand is rubbing gently on Mayim's back.

"Mayim, what happened? Will you tell me please?" he asked gently as he was still rubbing her back gently to calm her down. Mayim pulled back from the hug and wiped her tear-stained face. She tried to talk but nothing came out of her. The emotions that are going through her are too overwhelming. He ran his hand through her disheveled hair and pull some strands away from her face. And using his hands he wiped the tears from her eyes. He shook his head gently and ticked his tongue, "Didn't I tell you just moments earlier that I don't want to see you again this way? I don't have Claritin here," he chided making Mayim slap his arm gently and hugged him again.

He lead them to her couch and gently made her sit but she wouldn't talk, she was just sobbing uncontrollably. He sat down next to her and grabbed her hand and gently massaged it. Her sobs began to be softer now that Jim's touch makes her feel calmer. "When I was young and was not able to understand the emotions I want to express, I felt frustrated and troubled and I would cry and scream. My mother will sit me down and massage my hand, and feet, wipe the tears from my eyes, and run her hands through my hair until I calm down. Then she'd gently ask me what was wrong once my wail turns to sobs. If you are still overwhelmed by something that you are feeling, I will sit right here beside you until you are ready to talk," he said as he gently put pressure on her hands.

"He did it again. I saw him again with yet another woman," she said in between sobs. He looked at her in utter shock. With a woman? Another woman?. She doesn't need to point out who, he knows it already. Her friends' aversion to her lover really makes sense to him now. She suddenly chuckled bitterly, "But I think I played a part with this one."

"How so?" he asked. "If he cheats it's because he has low moral values or that he is a narcissist. How would that be your fault?"

She looked at him with pain in her eyes, "I have objected to every marriage proposal that he proposed to me. The recent one was just a few days ago," she said. Jim listens intently to her as she continues to tell him some of the things that happened. "And every time he'd propose to me and I rejected it, he would doubt the feelings I have for him that would cause his infidelity in our relationship. I am not ready by then and whenever I think I am ready to tie the knot, he'd do something for me to doubt him again. He is very inconsistent. I don't want to fail in marriage, Jim," she said as she continued to sob.

Mayim was taking a break from writing and is eating a snack on her couch as she exchange conversation with Jim. He sent her a link to a video that he found amusing to share a laugh or two. As she was perusing through her phone, Ryan sat down next to her on the couch and asked what she was laughing at. She showed him her phone and they laughed at the video. And then they started a casual conversation about what their past few weeks has been like. As they were conversing, Ryan's phone vibrated and popped the name of someone unfamiliar on his screen. It was a message from a girl name Stacy and she wasn't able to see everything on the screen but she was certain that she saw a nip slip photo. He suddenly jolted and covered his screen from her and chuckled nervously.

"Who was it?" she asked confused as to why he is kind of acting weird right now.

"It's nothing," and tried to divert her attention by bringing up another topic. But Mayim was eager to know who that person is that made Ryan sweaty.

"If it's nothing, then why won't you show me? Scared I'll know who Stacey is?" she asked. After a few moments, his phone notification dinged and he stood up to avoid her question and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge.

"W-who's Stacey? I don't know what you are talking about," he stammered. "If you are suspecting me of something that would be unfair on my part," he said plainly.

"How?"

"You're always on your phone talking to that new friend of yours. You are all smiles when you are on your phone so how is this different than if I were the one who'll talk to somebody else?" he explained as he sat down next to her.

"But I don't act sus-" she started but interrupted when he spoke again.

"Just say yes and marry me. Then you won't have these suspicions. I will be all yours."

"I have given him a chance because it's easy for me to trust people. I trusted him that one day he'll change, and he'd still manage to fuck up," she chuckled bitterly again. "I have made my friends almost turn their backs against me because I am still holding on to the person who is hurting in every possible way. God, I am so stupid," she said as she closed her eyes and slammed her back on her couch.

"Well, you are not stupid. You only loved the way you knew how to. So it failed, it's not your fault. Were you the one who screwed this one? Not you, right? It was his decision, let that eat him up. Held your chin up because you did everything to play the part of being in that relationship. I know that it is painful. It's your pride that's eating you up. But the thing is, there's nothing for you to lose if you break up. It's his loss, not yours," he explained. There was a moment of silence before he spoke again, "You were with him up until this point because you don't want to waste all this time to begin a new relationship again, am I right?" she nodded in response. Empath or not, Jim understood her even if he doesn't know half of the things she have gone through with Ryan.

"Take this experience as a lesson. And let me ask you this, are you certain that you don't want to be with him anymore?" he asked.

"I have never been more sure," she claimed in between sniffs. "I feel stupid for crying. He is not worth my tears," she cried laughing. "I don't want to be seen this fragile but I know for sure that if there's anybody that will not judge me in this world, it will be you," she confessed while smiling through tears.

"You're wrong I am actually judging you. Like, how can this girl be so foolish about a man over and over again?" he teased making Mayim glare at him but there was a small smile on her lips.

"I won't judge you because some people like the pain in a toxic relationship. Because it may seem normal to them. I hope that it is not your case because love should not make you feel hurt this way. Love should be so good that it hurts. I don't know if that makes sense," he looked down and smiled at his own antics. How dare he say something about love and relationships without even experiencing a serious one firsthand? Ridiculous.

"You have not experienced all the kind of love people can offer and give you willingly as it seems because this is your first time. Things can be much better and brighter when you go outside your comfort, and for the longest time, Ryan was the comfort your system had claimed it is. But I hope you wake up one day and realize that staying in that zone doesn't feed your growth as a person. And you are forgetting your worth because of staying just for the sake of not wasting the time you both had together."

She just smiled and looked at him fondly. He's a whole package if she could say so herself. "Are you a psychotherapist?" she asked as her tears turned to gentle sobs.

"No. I just like to observe people and wonder why they act things. I am no longer a kid Mayim. I am almost 40 than I am 30 so I kind of have a fair share of life. I have met lots of people that had gone through the same thing as you. So I understand," he shrugged as he continued his ministrations which Mayim does not mind at all. It's actually a great help.

Sighing over his wisdom she said, "See? I was not wrong to make you come over. I am sorry you have to see me like this again. But when I saw him..." she started to cry again.

Jim just looked at her and sat closer to her. Mayim wrapped her arms around his torso and cried over his chest. Jim hugged her back and lulled her by gently brushing her hair using his fingers.

"Cry all of it until there are no tears left to cry. We are not in the Rage Symposium and I doubt that you want to sway a bat on your smart LED TV," he teased as he continued to calm her down.

"You might feel like an idiot right now since you stayed with him. But I think you're so smart to turn his proposals down," he added making Mayim look at him with a questionable look. "I know that people are capable of change but men who usually cheat would tend to cheat again knowing how they can manipulate the situation the first time. This time Mayim, think about yourself okay? Yourself first and only good for you. I don't know if you think I am good for you but I will be here."

She smiled as she sniffles from crying and look him intently in the eye. "How can you be so good to me?" She thought out loud. It wasn't intentional to say it out loud but not bad. He needs to hear it.

Third Person's POV

A few months passed and Mayim only focused on the publication of her novel with Jim alongside her. The distraction of work and the friendship provided by Jim had diverted her attention from thinking about her breakup. She can go outside without looking like a mess, she is optimistic, she's glowing and she's contented with her life. Being single after being in a relationship for a long time is not as bad as it would be.

As for Ryan, he never had the chance to be around Mayim anymore since he got a restraining order from her. She filed a report against Ryan for trespassing on her apartment which was seen on the CCTV cameras around the apartment complex when it happened that's why the complaint was easily filed.

It took her some time to tell her other friends about what happened between her and Ryan that time because she didn't want to hear them complain about her as an enabler. And if she never could've gone back with him, she won't be hurt again. But to her surprise, they were happy that it happened. It was a giant slap for her that resulted in her realization. It was mean but glad it happened. And they were thankful that they were not the ones to convince her to file a restraining order.

The closeness between Mayim and Jim had been different than they were. They seek to talk to each other each day. They talk first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Besides that, Jim had been also close to her friends. They quickly absorbed him into the group and even became the reason why Chad, Jenna, and Mayim are closer than ever. They reconciled the closeness that the 3 had. There was no more scolding, just being the three of them way before Ryan. And now with Jim, things are better.

Being bored at home with all her work done and her worries away, she decided to ring, Jim.

"Hello?" Jim answered after just one ring.

"Hello, Jim! Are you busy right now?" She asked as she turned around on her swivel chair.

"Not really. I don't have a lot of commissions and the ones I have are just set to be sent to the client. Why did you ask?"

"I was just thinking that maybe we could hang out..." She says as she stood up and transferred to the couch. Ever since that chummy evening, Jim has been a frequent visitor to her apartment. There were just days that she just wanted company and Jim happens to be free. He would cook meals for her, write notes of what to do for the day (she tends to forget), and would accompany her to the grocery store for her apartment.

"Well, aren't you so clingy?" He teased on the other line. Mayim just chuckled. "What are we gonna do? If we're gonna watch Japanese Movies again, I swear to God I will never visit you again," he threatened making Mayim laugh again.

"So we watched 'Grave of the Fireflies' and you cried, what's the big deal?" She laughed as he heard him sigh. "So what do you say?"

He sighed again, "Okay fine," he pretends to be forced but in actuality, he loves it when he comes over to be around her. "Do you want me to bring anything?"

"Just bring yourself here. I'm already satisfied with that," she plainly said making Jim blush on the other line. She heard him chuckle before he spoke.

"Well, I don't know. I don't pop like a wine cork or freshly cooked popcorn but maybe I can satisfy you alright," he said making Mayim chuckle. "I'll be there in a few."

"Okay, take care!" And the call ended.

She doesn't really know what they have right now. All she knows is that his presence is a must in her life right now. Without his humor, wit, and wisdom, she'd be lost and would still be crazy about a man who has a penis for a brain. She doesn't know what the future holds but she hopes that Jim will still be in it. Whatever they may be, he should be there.

Jim

After checking his emails earlier after the call, he sat down on his stool and double-checked his finished portraits and other art pieces to ensure that they are restored well that it was free of dust and the polish was drying well. He then stood up and sat on the couch in his workstation and pondered his life lately. His boring and uneventful life cycle of coming to work from home and from work to home has ended with the delight of Mayim's company. It could be a dinner over at her apartment, or in a restaurant nearby or he is there just cause. The more time he spend with her, the more his feelings towards her got deeper and it was getting harder to suppress his feelings. Although he doesn't need to suppress it from her since it is just easy to love her. There was just no confessions or confrontations of each other's role in this situationship. They easily show each other that they care for them because they do. Platonically or romantically, they love each other. That's what he assumes. At least platonically. He does not rush for anything right now. Just as Nana (the psychic medium) told him, feelings will come naturally. For him it was, he does not know if it's the same with her. All he knows is that she likes to have him around.

Since that emotional night, he had been Mayim's rock. He stayed for the night just holding her and without funny business. And went through the times when she would stare into a blank space and not talk and would cry all of a sudden. Each time he'd see her in that state, it breaks him because he can't do anything to take the pain away from her apart from just being there with her and getting through it. She is getting better at it. She doesn't cry randomly during the day and would be all smiles when he was around. It was also great that Jenna and Chad were just there for her and constantly reminded her that she did the right thing.

Smiling at what his pondering around, he then stood up to go over to Mayim's. He said his quick goodbye to Kaley that was finishing what she was working on and exited the building. He perused the streets of Pasadena while listening to music on his air pods when he saw a bakery that sells her favorite artisanal bread. He went inside to grab a loaf and ordered their homemade butter to pair it with. It was simple but it is what makes her happy. But whatever he would give her, he'd get the same response but her eyes just glimmer differently with freshly baked bread with homemade butter. It's a delight to see.

He ringed at her doorbell and he arrived at her doorstep. A few moments after, Mayim opened the door with slightly furrowed brows.

"You already have a spare key in my apartment, why don't you just go inside instead of ringing the doorbell," she told him as he went inside handing her his small gift.

"Well, it's nice to see you too," he scowled at her making her giggle. "I actually don't want to barge in. I don't want to have a restraining order from you because of trespassing."

She just rolled her eyes at him and thanked him for the gift and that she likes it. She was giddy to open up the bread as it was still warm to the touch.

"You're just as good as sex," she murmured after taking a bite with butter in it.

Jim just stared at her in disbelief and chuckled as he realizes that she may have thought out loud again. He also took a bite and moaned as the warm butter coats his mouth and the bread that was crisp on the outside and chewy and soft on the inside. He gets her now. But "just like sex", maybe an exaggeration.

While they were eating they were having a casual and random conversation of some sort when she recalled the reason why he was called to come over. She excused herself and grabbed something in the guest room in her apartment and hand it in front of him at the dining table.

"Here, open it," she says giddily as she hands an object wrapped in brown wrapping paper. She quickly sat down right in front of him and waited for his reaction once he opens it up.

"What is this?" he wondered. He knows he is not celebrating anything. If it's a celebration about her, he would at least know. He doesn't know what this gift is for.

"Just open it," she says gently but she can't wipe the giddiness in her expression.

"Okay..." he grinned not knowing what to expect. God, he just hopes it's not an ultrasound to reveal her pregnancy. He was starting to feel anxious but he might s well just get over it with. He ripped the wrapping paper and peeled it from its content. Inside was a book. When he pulled it out of the wrapping paper it read, 'Private Eyes'. His mouth went agape and his eyes widened. He was speechless. His shocked expression turned into a wide smile. He placed the book down and looked at her face with an excited expression.

"I promised you the first printed copy!" she says excitedly. He was still speechless. He stood up and couldn't stop himself from giving her a squeeze.

"Oh my God, I possess the first printed copy of Amaya B's newest novel and she hand it to me personally!" he squealed as his arms are wrapped around her body. Mayim returned the hug and gently rubbed her hand on his back. "Thank you!"

"You're welcome. That's not enough for all the things you did to me. Look, my apartment is paid for, I am not mauling over someone anymore, and I was able to publish this early. And that was with your help. This is just small. This is nothing from your kindness towards me," she explained as they pulled from the hug.

"Oh May, you don't need to thank me for that. You are a great person. I'll do that again for you in a heartbeat without you asking for it," he said looking down at the book. "God, I hope I knew that this will happen, I should've insisted on buying wine..." he added as he can hear the sound of a wine cork popping would be good for a celebration. Mayim then went to her pantry and bought with her a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc.

"Say less!" she yelled as she raised the bottle with him. He then grabbed 2 wine glasses for them to drink on.

A few moments later they went to her apartment's balcony enjoying a charcuterie board alongside their white wine. It was a bit fancy yet neither one of them was dressed for the occasion. Mayim is in her pajamas, while Jim is wearing gym shorts and a white plain shirt. If one will look at them, they look like a married couple during their anniversary who just wants to be in the comfort of their home but still doing something special for their occasion. Jim just looked at her while she talks about thinking about another novel that she'll write right after her novel's publication. Whenever she talks, she looks so dreamy and pretty. Especially when she talks something about what she's passionate about, it just makes him stare at her. He has such a major crush on her. As Amaya, Mayim and as Amy. She was enchanting, to say the least.

"Since you are an avid fan of Amaya, what would you want to read from her?" she asked him as she took a sip from her glass.

"Why are you speaking in third person? you're Amaya. But to answer your question, I don't know. I just want to read what you'll have for us. Be it everything, I will read it as long as it came out of your genius," he stated.

"STOP PATRONIZING ME!" she dramatically replied as Jim chuckled and cussed at her sudden reaction. "But really, I want to pick your brain for another novel since you are a book aficionado. I am eager to go back in writing."

"Well... let's see. I am not a writer so I do not really know how to help you," he said as he placed his hand below his chin to come up with something. Suddenly an image popped into his head, it was Amy's portrait. "Oh, I know!" he gasped making Mayim startled.

"What?"

"Remember the portrait that looks like you?" he started. Mayim only nodded in response. Of course, how would she forget, it looks like her. "Well, I am the one who restored it and when I restored it I went t- I mean I heard the background story about that one. The story is worth a novel. That's just my opinion."

"Oh yeah? Tell me!" she said as she leaned forward to anticipate what Jim has to tell her.

Mayim

She listens intently to Jim's story about the background story of the portrait. She can feel all of the emotions that the couple went through. It was such a sweet and cute story that happens to end so soon.

"The reason why the portrait holds too much emotion is that Sheldon got too devastated on the anniversary of Amy's death that he ended his life in front of the portrait just so that he could be with her sooner," he explained as tears stained his face. Tears were also streaming down her face. A love that was so pure yet ended up on a bitter note as it was ended by death too soon.

"Whatever they might round up somewhere, I hope that they found each other," she says as she wipes the tears from her eyes.

"I am sure they do," he smiled sweetly looking down.

"This idea has merit, I will base my new novel on it but add my own twist to it," she told him. "Thank you, Jim. You just saved me from the misery of weeks of pondering a new idea."

"Oh, you're welcome dear! I should go home now and leave this space in your privacy," he said in a bit of a slur. He had way too much wine and Mayim thinks that it would be best that he spends the night at her apartment because it would be dangerous for him to drive in his state. She sat him down on the couch as she prepared her guest room for him. She had changed the sheets and fluffed the pillow before she came back to the living room seeing Jim already in slumber. She gently nuzzled him to wake him up to transfer him to the room so he could have a proper sleep. He opened his eyes and obeyed her orders. He thanked her before slumping his body onto the bed that was in there. Mayim then shook her head gently and covered him in a blanket up to his neck and went out to go to her own room.

She brushed her teeth and combed her hair before climbing to her bed and thinking about her day. It was riveting to have him again today. He comes here frequently but his presence still excites me. They are even staying under the same roof at the moment. She wonders what kind of morning she'd have when he is here. As he thinks about Jim, she thinks about the story he had told her. She feels for Sheldon. If she were to be loved and cherished as much, she'd also die for that person. Continuing life without your partner is like eating food without flavor. There's no point in eating since you can't enjoy it. Of course, he may choose to love again but it would be difficult if he only had eyes and a heart only for her.

As she still thinks about it she didn't realize that she was slowly falling asleep. She was dreaming already. She feels odd since she doesn't really know if it's real life or a dream. Everything is crystal clear, and not like a haze just like a dream. In her dream, it appears to be she is going somewhere. She was grooming herself in front of a dresser. She was dressed in this lilac Victorian dress. Her hair was tied up in a braid and was designed with a lilac ribbon to match her dress. She doesn't look that bad. She was looking at her reflection when there was a knock coming from the door.

"Come in! she yelled. The door then opened and spat out a fellow dressed in a front tailcoat. She looks up to see his face and it appears to look like Jim.

"Amy! You look rather ravishing," he said in amusement as he stood closer and walked behind her. He then leaned down and hugged her from behind and kissed her cheek. Amy? Who's Amy? I am not Amy?! she thought to herself.

Her face then turned to face him and kissed his lip, "Thank you, Sheldon. You don't look half bad yourself," she smiled.

Sheldon...that name is oddly familiar... Oh right! The artist!. Trying to cope with what's happening she then realized that she is Amy and Jim might be Sheldon. Sheldon appears to be the spitting image of Jim. From his soft brown hair and pink kissable lips to his deep blue eyes, it is him. The Jim she grew very fondly of. If she was Amy, so Jim is Sheldon? Or is this just a silly dream of Jim because this is the first time that they sleep under one roof?

She then stood up not knowing where they will go but Sheldon held her hand in his and lead them outside. There were a lot of people cheering as they walked outside. They appeared to be close to them apparently and they were all smiles and applauding.

Sheldon raised his hands signaling people there to be quiet as he is about to say something.

"My folks I am happy to announce my engagement to my betrothed, Amelia Farrah Fowler. We will be married next Spring and all of you are invited to our celebration," he announced as congratulations and cheers were heard from the crowd. Some people came near them and shook their hands and expressed their thrill in their upcoming nuptials. It was long-awaited and they were glad they found each other.

After the celebration, they sat with each other on the loveseat and was talking a little about their wedding.

"Where would you want us to be married?" he asked sweetly holding her gaze. He looks just like Jim when he asks her about her day or whenever he asks her what to eat for dinner. She smiled looking at him.

"It doesn't matter as long as I am with you," she replied in kind still holding their gaze.

"So if I will ask you for us to be married at the end of a cliff, you'd agree?" he exasperated making Amy giggle in return.

"If that's what you want, yes! I just can't wait to get it over with and bare our young. Imagine a smaller version of us running around," she says dreamily. He nodded at her epiphany. "So you agree... I just can't wait to build a future with you, Sheldon."

"Me too. I can't wait to marry you. For you to carry my last name and to be the mother of our children. Thinking about it makes me feel so thrilled."

He placed his warm hands on her cheek and his face went closer to her when Mayim was startled immediately waking up.

She got startled by the sound of clashing pans that seems to come from her kitchen.

Third Person's POV

Jim woke up early to cook and surprise Mayim with breakfast for the two of them. First, he scanned through her fridge to see what he could make out of it but he remembered that she hasn't gone to the grocery store this week so the fridge was half empty. There were eggs and some vegetables so he decided to make an omelet and pair it with the bread he bought yesterday from the bakery. As he was laying out the ingredients and prepping them to be cooked. He also added seasoning to flavor such a simple dish. Then he went to look for a pan to cook with. When he opened the cabinet door to grab a non-stick pan, he grabbed it too quickly not realizing that there was a smaller pan on top of it and it had created the noise. He then hit his forehead. He should be quieter so as to not wake up Mayim from her sleep. As he picked the pan, he can hear footsteps getting nearer. Nice going, Jim he scolded himself.

He then stood up and turned around and saw Mayim squinting her other eye clearly still sleepy. She looks so adorable with her ruffled headboard hair He looked at her apologetically. "I woke you up, didn't I? I was gonna surprise you with breakfast," he scratched his hair. She just smiled at him sweetly still her eyes squinting. How can he look so fresh in the morning and smell very manly? She just wants to embrace him and inhale all of his scent.

"It's fine," she said as she yawned and realized that she hasn't brushed her hair and brushed her teeth before meeting Jim. She just looked at him with wide eyes and was about to speak when Jim stopped her.

"You can go and fix yourself. Just come back here and breakfast will be served," he chuckled. Mayim quickly turned around and went to her bathroom and fixed herself quickly. She doesn't know why all of a sudden she wants to appear presentable around Jim. Do I want to impress him? she just shrugged through her thoughts and went out to be with Jim in the kitchen.

When she went back, Jim was already serving the omelet. The table was already set with plates for both of them, glasses of water, and utensils. He looks like a husband on an anniversary morning, it's a sight that is a delight to see. You can see the glee in his eyes by making Mayin the first meal of her day. Mayim just looked at him and sat at the aisle as he continues his ministrations that don't seem to notice Mayim's presence back in the room. The kitchen was filled with the delicious aroma of basil and butter that seems to be the additive he added to the dish. She was salivating and cannot wait to devour it.

She propped both of her hands underneath her chin on the table and stared at him tenderly, "Can you just live with me?" she uttered thinking out loud again. She realized that she said it out loud which made her eyes widen and covered her face in embarrassment. Here she is being clingy again. Jim looked at her and gently shook his head as he chuckled. If only she knew that he'd love to live with her.

He then bought the omelet on the table together with the bread that he toasted in butter. "Would you want to have coffee?" he asked as he placed them in front of her.

She nodded and thanked him. "I have a cute butler at home. Ah...life is better," she claimed as she took a sniff of the delicious meal he had prepared.

He looked at her rather in a derisive stare, "Butler? How dare you!" as he poured the non-dairy creamer into her cup of coffee. He knows how she likes her coffee, half coffee, and half creamer. Mayim just giggled at his reaction. She waited for him to be seated so they could begin eating together.

When he was seated, they both dig in and Mayim just rolled her eyes at the back of her head. How can he make a plain and simple dish like this taste very exemplary? It is easily the best omelet she'd had. It tastes familiar, comforting, and fresh at the same time. It was like him at a meal.

Jim just looked at her and giggled at her reaction. Her face is very expressive and it is such a sight. "Enjoying yourself?" he asked as he took a bite. She just nodded as her mouth was full of food and give it a thumbs up.

"How can you make an omelet taste like that? It's so good! Please give me your recipe, and your secret," she said once she swallowed what was inside her mouth.

"Well, the recipe is simple. Eggs, butter, basil, tomatoes, bell pepper, black pepper, and seasoning like adobo powder or chicken powder. If you want a bit of heat, you can add cayenne or chili pepper powder. And my secret is to not wash my hands before cooking. It adds natural flavors," he winked making Mayim's eyes widen and quickly became a scowl when he laughed.

Their morning was just filled with laughter. It was the first time yet it feels all too familiar as if it has been their routine for a very long time. The conversation or the communication was great to have with warm coffee. The meal was scrumptious. The company is the best part of this meal.

Mayim then asked him if he needs to go home to take a shower and change clothes but being expressive that she is, you can see the sadness in her eyes about asking him if he'd leave soon. So he told her that he might stay some time of the day since he is not occupied for the rest of the day since he didn't receive any commissions today.

As they hang out. Jim decided to start reading Mayim's novel on her couch and Mayim decided to plan her plot for the next novel she will write. She is thinking of what to entitle it, how would the story begin, and whether she would use a different name from the real people, she will plan those today. As she started, she suddenly recalled her dream which she almost forgot because of the lovely breakfast she had with Jim. With the piece of that dream and Jim's story last night, she put two and two together and she might've had a dream about Sheldon and Amy. But what was weird was she was in Amy's body and her name was Amelia.

She wants to get some answers but she doesn't know where to get those besides Jim. She stood up and sat near him in the living room making his sight rise from the book he was reading. He seems too invested and interested making her feel relieved but he looked at her with a questioning look. "I have a question about Amy..." she told him. He placed the book down and looked at her.

"Go on, what do you want to know?" he asked as he looked down to peruse his eyes again through the book.

"Well, I was trying to figure out if I am gonna use their names on my new novel or use a different one. But I guess, if I want to dedicate this book to their tragic love story, I would need to use their real name shouldn't I?" she asked making Jim nod. "So, do you know if Amy's name is a nickname or her real name?" she added.

Jim faced her again and brought the book down again," From the information, I gathered from the people who cared for the painting before it was donated to the museum, her name was Amelia Farrah Fowler. It's a great name does it?" he said as he bought his eyes to the book again clearly too invested in the story.

Mayim on the other hand doesn't know how to process it. She doesn't know anybody whose name is Amelia so how can her innocent dream spit a name like that if she hasn't thought about it before? Where does it come from? Was she Amy? Is that why the portrait in the museum looks exactly like her?

Jim being engrossed in what he was reading, he needs to ask Mayim a question.

"Anyway, Mayim. I have got to ask, who did you base this character from?" his voice filled with awe.

"Who?" she asked not knowing who he is asking about since there are a bunch of characters in her novel.

"Richard. Oh, is he a dream boat? Such a lady's man while being gentle too. He is quite hilarious, smart, and quirky. I haven't finished it yet but golly he is something I want my girl friends to have as a lover. Not a personality most of your characters possess in your other novels," he asks.

If there is a question that might turn their friendship awkward, this would be it. But only if Jim will react negatively to it. She doesn't want to answer him but at the same time, it's too hard to just shrug the question off. When they became best of friends, they decided to not keep secrets from each other. So would she break that promise just to not turn their friendship sour?

"Well..." she started avoiding his gaze while Jim was looking intently at her. "I will tell you but promise me that after you'll hear who he is, you must promise me that we will remain as friends," she asked squinting her eyes while holding her pinky up.

Jim

He asked the question out of his thrill. Her new novel would be a hit. It was new from her previous works and as a fan of hers, he had no doubt that most people will like this side of Mayim as Amaya. As he was reading the novel earlier, the main character Richard was described in great detail that could make you paint a picture of him in your head. He had deep blue eyes and is known to guilt the truth from suspects he investigates. He has red cherry supple lips that move as he talked. His soft brown hair is sleek and clean. It seems that Mayim is describing her ex who she has been healing from for these past few months. It would make sense that it might be him since they were still together when she started to write the novel.

He knows that he might get hurt if he'd ask the question. But he thinks that it would be more bearable than trying to figure out who the hell was she described in this novel of her. And then when he asked the question, she made him swear to not break their friendship making him more anxious. He placed his pinky finger next to hers and latched it into her pinky to promise to remain friends. Although it would kill him to know that deep inside her, she still thinks about Ryan. Not now that everything is good between them. Not now that he acknowledges his feelings towards her.

"It's you," she said under her breath and squint her eyes again almost cringing from her confession. Jim just stared at her with utter shock apparent on his face yet inside his head he was screaming out loud. Does she think of me like this? Does she see me like this? Do I make her heart flutter as most of the people he interacts with in the story feel? A lot of questions are in his head but one thing is for sure, he feels extremely flustered. He never knew that she thinks of him this way. Do they feel the same about each other? He doesn't know. He wants to ask but he is rendered mute and was just shocked in a good way.

Mayim opened her eyes as she was anticipating a reaction from him but he was just staring at her and his silence was unnerving. Is he mad? Oh God, he hates me now. He feels that this is awkward. May she get swallowed by the floor. She wants to be invisible." Say something, Jim... Are you mad at me for writing about you like this? Is this awkward on your part? We can cancel the publication but if we d-" she rambled as she was feeling anxious but was stopped when Jim smiled and grabbed her face gently and cupped her cheeks and his lips landed on hers. She was surprised as she was not expecting this reaction from him but she melted when his thumb gently caressed her cheek and his lips started to move. She kissed him back with equal passion and all of a sudden Jim realized that it hasn't consented and broke off from the kiss quickly.

He looked down shameful for being hasty as he couldn't control himself and was about to apologize when Mayim's hand was placed in his jaw and pulled him for another kiss. He savored the contact as her lips moved in sync with his. Oh she likes this too he thought to himself as he melted to her kiss. Her lips were so soft and tasted like cherries, it was too intoxicating. They kissed each other with much need and fervor and only stopped when they needed to breathe for air. Their foreheads touch as they breathe slowly to inhale more oxygen as they just inhaled each other's air supply. Jim smiled as his eyes closed.

"I am not mad. Why would I be mad if the woman I like so much sees me like that and wrote about me in her novel? Not to mention that I am such an avid fan of hers. It is such an honor," he replied to her ramblings earlier still eyes closed savoring how close they are.

Mayim's eyes popped open and pulled back from surprise."You like me?!" she asked. Jim's eyes popped open as well as he realized that he confessed because of his intoxication from their kiss. How can't he deny it now? And the realization of his sudden confession made his face red from flushing. He just nodded squinting his eyes.

"Yes... and do you hate me for that?" he mustered to strength to ask. "I know and I cherish our friendship, don't get me wrong. But I have liked you for such a time now and decided to keep it for the sake of our friendship but with this information, I can't help myself. But if this is making you uncomfortable, I wouldn't ask you to like me back or act upon it. Just forget that I said it. We promised moments ago that we will remain friends. We pinky swore," he muttered under his breath. He was now avoiding her gaze but Mayim gazed at him fondly and giggled at his ramble.

"What if I told you that I like you too? You will not act upon it?" she asks making Jim look her in the face with shock and bliss on his face.

No words needed to be said again. It was an affirmation. They liked each other. Period. He gazed at her eyes tenderly and smiled sweetly at her. He then placed his thumb on her chin and bought it closer to his and placed a soft and chaste kiss. And kiss her again one after another. "You are intoxicating, do you know that?" he said amidst kissing her. And she smiled as she kissed him.

"Wait," he stopped being all chummy and looked at her. She looked at him with a questionable stare and anticipated what he would say next. "Does this mean that you are now my girlfriend?" he asked not grasping the idea. She nodded and smiled sweetly as she wrapped her arms around her now boyfriend's neck. "I am now your boyfriend?!" he asked again the idea not sinking in his head.

"I don't know..." she chided making Jim stare at her in disbelief. "Would I kiss you if we were-"

He immediately dove right in and kissed her making her stop talking. She just inhaled and kissed him back. This feels right. It feels just right. He can't believe he is now in a relationship with her. Sheldon is now with Amy and Jim is now with her.

Later that day they took a picture of Jim kissing Mayim on her cheek and send it to their group chat without any context. It earned a lot of reaction. They asked what was it about and why are they this chummy with one another. Then they told them that they are now a couple. The messages came so fast and continuously filled with reactions that are mostly shocked, thrilled, excitement. Chad and Jenna already liked Jim. And Jim with Mayim is much better. It just so means that he will be a permanent member of their small social group. Jim then added Kaley to the group chat as they announce their relationship. Just like the others, she was also very excited for Jim knowing that she knows that they will end up together already. She is genuinely happy for Jim and for both of them.

Everything feels right and great at the same time. They didn't know that they felt like that with each other already. They thought that their relationship will only be a friendship. But they both liked each other without telling each other. There were a lot of things they are similar at and being with each other feels like a natural occurrence. Still, in the bliss of this new relationship, Jim realized that he overstayed his welcome and told Mayim that he has to go home. Mayim doesn't want him to leave yet but Jim reasoned that he needs to at least shower and change clothes.

"Can't you just wear my clothes here in my apartment?" she reasoned tugging him in his shirt as he was by the door. Jim stopped in his tracks and smiled at her. She knows that she was being clingy but she can't just get over his natural scent. She just wants to stick with him if she can. Jim just stared at her and kissed her on the forehead.

"That's ridiculous, I'll ruin your clothes," he said. "But how about this, bring some clothes of yours, and let's stay at my place," he recommended. Mayim then skedaddled and packed herself a bag of things to bring over to his place. They have never hung out at his place yet because it would be Jim that would present for him to come to her place. Mayim always worked at home so he'd just visit there whenever. But now that they are in a relationship, they should be able to come to both of their places easily. But with their consent of course.

Mayim came back with a duffle bag with her things. She was still in her normal house clothes and she asked Jim if he could wait for a little, she would just change because she looks like a homeless freak in what she was wearing. She was wearing a ripped shirt with pajamas as she was just expecting to be home all day.

"No, you look fine in your clothes. In fact, you can wear a rag and I would still adore you," he stopped her from running back to her room. "That sounds cheesy but I mean it," he added as he carried her bag and held her hand to the parking lot to his car to go over to his apartment.
