Chapter 13

When Ash, Mark, Golly, and Alice are at the diner, they are groaning a little as Serena finds them and walks toward their seats. She sits down next to Ash, much to Alice's annoyance.

"Um...Serena, what are you doing here?" Mark plucks up the courage and asks.

"Having breakfast with some friends." Serena says. The words she said cause confusion to everyone in the present, and Ash is inwardly screaming while Alice is trying not to do anything to the person in front of her.

"So what are you guys talking about?" Serena asks.

"Just talking about our nightmares at night." Ash yawns. "It's not pleasant and I'm not sure how many tears I've shed because of it..."

"A nightmare? And you cried when you woke up? That's so horrible..." Serena exclaims.

"Nobody asks you..." Alice mutters. Serena also notices Alice's outfit, she's wearing a white top with an aqua-blue jacket, and a black skirt with white leggings. She is in rage as the top shows off the full size of her hourglass figure, and Alice just feels annoyed at how Serena is looking at her body features.

Ash turns to Alice and says, "By the way, Aurora. Maybe you should have your Ninetales out for breakfast as well, don't you think?"

"That sounds like a great idea, Red." Alice says while sending out her Ninetales, who is happy to have breakfast with her trainer. At the same time, a wild Alolan Vulpix walks towards them, and Ash asks, "Whose Vulpix is this?"

"From the looks of it, it seems like a wild one." Alice says while bending down and petting the Vulpix. "Do you want to eat with us? Ninetales can share some with you."

Alice's Ninetales walk towards Vulpix and give the Vulpix a nuzzle, causing her to squeal. Then Vulpix also nuzzles at Alice, who smiles back at the interaction.

Serena scoffs and says, "I don't get why Pokemon like her, with her personality..." She wants to have an Alolan Vulpix of her own, and she is looking enviously at how it acts to Alice.

Golly notices it and she decides to change the topic. "By the way, Alice. Are you going to capture another Vulpix?"

"I could do that." Alice says, and she looks into her shadow, where her Gengar is hiding, she has a plan to have Gengar use Psychic on the breakfast dishes, levitating them over Serena's head. Before anyone can notice it, Gengar drops the Psychic and the dishes fall onto Serena's clothes and her honey-blonde hair. Mark and Golly are trying not to laugh at the whole thing, but Ash sighs as he doesn't want to cause a scene.

"Serena, are you alright?" Ash asks.

"I'm fine...I'll just change my clothes...I got a spare one with me." After leaving the table, Ash turns to Alice and asks, "Let me guess, your Gengar did it?"

"I can't stand being with her any longer." Alice says. "I'm sorry that I made you worry."

"It's fine..." Ash sighs.

"There you are." When Lillie comes to the diner, she asks, "Did I miss something?"

"Not at all." Ash says. "We're just finishing our breakfast."

"Good, that means Brother Mark is free, right? Do you think we can hang out right now?" Lillie says while grabbing Mark's arm, and Mark inwardly tries to plead for help from the others, who only stare at their interaction.

"Even though we are siblings now, Lillie really wants Mark to accompany her." Golly shakes her head.

"Yeah...I just hope that Mark can survive what Lillie's going to do with them." Alice remarks.

"Good thing that you're not leaving yet." Serena comes out with a change of clothes, she is dressing in a similar fashion to Alice, only that her clothes are mostly pink and red. If it is the old Ash, he would have blushed around her. As for Alice, she is a little angry that how Serena is trying to copy her fashion style.

"So what are your plans for today?" Serena asks.

"We're going to find Aurora's parents in the hotel." Golly says. "It sure has been a while since she met her parents."

"So your parents are gym leaders?" Serena says with a slightly bitter tone.

"Of course, they are." Alice says, with the same tone. "They are from Kalos, the same region as you, Kalos Queen."

Then Alice and Golly leave first, with Ash asking, "So...are you going to come with us, or do you have other things to do?"

Serena gives a fake smile and says, "Thanks for your invitation, but I have other business to attend to."

Then After Serena leaves, Ash mutters, "So much for being polite..." Then he chases after two Ghost-Type trainers.

"It is nice to see you again, Alice." The Fairy Type Gym Leader of Kalos Region: Valerie, and the Ice Type Gym Leader of Kalos Region: Wulfric, are hugging their youngest daughter Alice. They are now currently in the Hotel Room, and since the walls are soundproof, nobody in the area is able to hear what they're saying, which is something that's beneficial for them.

"It is nice to see you again, Mother, Father. I'm sorry that we didn't take that much time to find you and have some talk." Alice says.

"It is fine, ever since you're dating Ash, we know that you've been busy." Wulfric says. "And it is nice to see you again, Ash, Golly."

"The honor is ours." Ash says. "Just like what Alice's said, sorry that we didn't have time to visit."

"Never mind that. Valerie, can you take Alice somewhere? I want to talk to Ash and Golly alone for something." Wulfric says.

"Of course, Alice, how about we head to Greeny City and find Flora?" Valerie asks.

"Sure mother." Alice says as they leave. Wulfric turns to Ash and Golly, who are confused as to what Wulfric wants to talk about.

"So Wulfric, what seems to be the problem? And why can't Alice hear this?" Ash asks.

"That's because it is related to her health right now." Wulfric says. "Alice can't know about her disease right now."

"What kind of disease? What's going on?" Golly asks with slight horror.

"Because of the constant bullying in her childhood, Alice has been injured a lot. The last straw for us to drop Alice out of school...is that she gets the "Violet Depression"." Wulfric says.

"Violet Depression? What is that? I don't think I have seen this term in all of the Medical textbooks that I've written..." Ash says.

"That's because it is not a common disease you will find in medical records...it is an aura-related disease." Wulfric says, which causes them to widen their eyes. "When Alice is in depression, her aura will be out of control. In the worst-case scenario, it will attack everyone in sight. Not only that, but the aura will also cause her lifespan to deteriorate...she might only have not more than a year to live."

Ash and Golly gasp as they can't believe what they've heard. Ash says, "But we didn't see her being in depression...how come she has only less than 1 year to live?"

"In others' eyes, she has been trying to act tough and strong." Wulfric says. "However, when she's alone, she will still think of the past and even have nightmares of it. That is a good time to activate the Violet Depression."

"But we would have noticed the out-of-control aura, right?" Golly asks. "Because that didn't happen ever since Alice live with us in the castle."

"The out-of-control aura won't be attacking when the user is in deep sleep. However, it doesn't change the fact that it can deteriorate the lifespan." Wulfric says.

"Then what should we do? Is there a cure to save her?" Ash asks, tears starting to form in his eyes.

"Adam and I have been searching for a cure when we have time, but our progress is little, and time doesn't wait for people. That's why I want you two to keep this a secret. Not even Alice or anyone should know about the whole truth."

"I promise." Ash and Golly say in unison.

While he's listening to what Wulfric is talking about, Ash is also a little sad at how Alice has been through and the aura-related disease that she's gotten. He has made up his mind that he is going to cure her no matter what. He already loses his mother, and he won't be losing her too.

"So this is what Mom means..." Ash thinks.

While Mark and Lillie are walking alone at the beach of FS Resort, Lillie says, "No matter how many times I've come here, this place is always refreshing."

"I know." Mark says, "Max and I have been doing a great job tidying this beach. We did want to give our customers the best service."

"And I really like the services here in the FS Resort." Lillie says. "Especially the decorations you have for the upcoming Festival."

"Lillie!" Mark and Lillie groan a little as the ones who find her are no other than the Alola traitors: Kiawe, Lana, Mallow, and Sophocles.

"What do you guys want?" Lillie asks. "You're interrupting my time with Mark."

"You haven't been talking to us for five years, we are worried about you." Mallow says.

"Worried about me?" Lillie says with a wave of slight anger, "You have some nerve to say such a thing."

"Why don't you trust us?" Kiawe asks. "We're friends, right?"

"Do you think you're still my friend after what happened to Ash?" Lillie asks.

"He's nothing but a criminal, and you should've known it!" Sophocles says.

"Like I would believe Ash kill his mother after everything he's done for me. From what I know, there is a misunderstanding and I'm going to search for the evidence. And I won't let you guys stop me." Lillie says.

"Good luck in doing that, I doubt you would be able to find any." Mallow says.

"And I also saw the news, how you failed to recreate Champion Red and Princess Aurora's Honey Cake." Lillie mocks. "And I thought you were a chef."

"That recipe was rigged, and I know it." Mallow says in anger. "That Princess Aurora must have done something to the recipe so that I didn't see the full instructions!"

"Let me return the phrase: Good luck in doing that, I doubt you would be able to find any." Lillie says.

"Now, now. I don't think this is a good time to fight, guys." Mark says. "If you're here to talk to my sister, then you've done what you want, can you please leave so that I can continue my guide for her in this resort?"

The four Alola Traitors can only glare at Mark and Lillie before leaving, and Lillie sighs, "Geez...they really are annoying."

"I know, and I really don't like them for what they've done to my mother." Mark says while shaking his head. "Good thing they haven't known that both you and Gladion are adopted into our family."

"I know... after Mom and my birth father were killed, you guys have been helping us a lot." Lillie says with a smile.

And here is a new chapter, I've decided to add something to Alice's current state. As you can see, Alice has a disease known as Violet Depression, and she won't have more than a year to live. However, can Ash find a cure and save her? I hope you like this chapter.
