Third Person's POV

Mayim is now working on a few revisions of her book which is set to be published in a few days. It has been 11 months since Jim and her wedding took place in Arlington Garden which had a Victorian theme in order to honor Amy and Sheldon. They had a 3-week honeymoon vacation in Hawaii where they spent mornings near the beach and seeing the Fireworks at night on Waikiki Beach. They have been happily married and now it has been almost 2 years of living together, they will now move into a Craftsman House design in a small neighborhood that is still located in Pasadena. They have split halfsies in purchasing their house on where they tend to spend their time together as they grow older and to hopefully build a family.

The exterior was painted white and gray and the inside was painted white to illuminate the whole house with a touch of marble. They chose the house as it accommodates both of their worlds. There is an extra room with built-in shelves that will be perfect for their book collection. A master's bedroom that has a balcony where Mayim likes to work at here in Jim's apartment. And a large garden that would fit well with Mayim's love for flowers and plants. There are also 3 extra bedrooms in the house that will be perfect if ever they have a friend who wants to crash in for a night. It was a good neighborhood, most of the people there were welcoming and kind.

Kaley, Jim's friend, and a colleague got married to her now husband just three months before Jim and Mayim tied the knot. They eloped and got married in Nevada and lived together in a condominium unit in Pasadena. Chad and his girlfriend got engaged and their wedding date is set already for next year. They asked Jim to officiate their wedding as they shared a lot of things together through the short time he had known him. And he jested that it is appropriate that Jim officiates as he is tall enough so God can hear what's happening on that day. Jenna on the other hand is now in an official relationship with her former fuck buddy.

Their lives have been doing great and everybody was so enthusiastic and supportive of their move. Chanel and Kaley even presented themselves to help them spruce up the space once they moved there. As of the moment, Mayim is still putting things in boxes to be delivered to their house. Jim was with her in the apartment to help with the packing and lifting of the heavy pieces of furniture and appliances. Labeling all of the boxes, she saw one that said "Pictures" in it. She opened it and saw the picture frame of a photo from their wedding day. It was a photo printed in black and white of Jim holding Mayim's waist from behind closing his eyes as to seem that he is savoring their contact and Mayim looking over her shoulder to look at him. Under it was a goofy photo of the two of them as Mayim was given a piggyback ride by her now husband. Under that frame was another photo, it was another black and white photo of Jim and her smiling amidst kissing as his hands laid on her waist and her hands on his nape. She pulled out another photo of her and the girls in their bridesmaid dresses smiling candidly and looking at each other. Another photo of Jim with his friends from college with Chad with their hands over their shoulders smiling. The last one in the frame was everybody who came in for their wedding with her and Jim in the center kissing tenderly.

As Mayim was perusing through the photo album she saw beneath the picture frames, Jim startled her by poking her sides and calling her name out of the blue. "What are you doing here, you seem so quiet..." he asked as his giggles died down.

"I am just looking at our wedding photos. Look at how small Jenna looks here," she pointed at a goofy photo of the three of them and showed it to Jim.

"It has been 11 months..." he said sensing the feeling of nostalgia for one of the happiest days of their lives.

"I know. We'll celebrate our first anniversary in 2 weeks," she replied not taking her eyes off the photo album. "But everything still feels that it is not real and it just happened yesterday."

Jim just nodded as he continued to carry boxes. "Are you tired? Please take some rest baby. I know that you might be on your period today or tomorrow so make yourself feel comfortable. I will do the rest of this."

Feeling a bit tired from doing a lot of packing all day and with the meetings in between, she was pretty run down so she nodded and excused herself to go into their bedroom which is the last place that they will be cleaning out. Not long after she then fell asleep in their bed while Jim continued to pack most of their stuff in boxes to get them delivered to their house.

The next day came normally for both of them, they ate breakfast together, showered together, and got a little bit of a morning delight before Jim headed to work as there was an urgent commission for them to finish. It was a collaboration with another conservator so he was pretty excited. He left the apartment with a promise that he'll come home before 7 to his wife. With a swift but sweet kiss, he left their home. Mayim was left on her own devices when her phone suddenly rang. It was a call from Jenna.

"Hey, girl! Are you busy?" she said over the line.

"Hey...Not really. I was just preparing as I am about to be in a meeting in an hour with my editor and publishing company. Why did you call?" she asked wondering why her friend will call her. It wasn't weird but usually, they'd have their girl talk at night before they go to bed or before Jim will come home from work.

"Nothing, I just wanna ask if you already caught your period," she asked. "Our menses are synced up and I just started so I just want to know if you already got yours," they always had these monthly calls about their period as Mayim had an issue with not having regular periods. 4 months into their marriage and Mayim and Jim had avoided using contraceptives when they make love which happens frequently in a week.

Knowing that she checked her underwear earlier she answered," No not yet but I am experiencing PMS since 2 days ago. So I may get mine later today or tomorrow," she replied.

"Okay. Take care and I will talk to you later girly. Love you!"

"You too, and I love you!" and ended the call. She continued with her day and finished the meetings. She worked with the few revisions but she now paused as she is feeling tired. But she was clueless as to why she is very sleepy even if she had barely done anything but she wants to see Jim or hear him. Without even texting first, Mayim called him as she is very eager to hear him.

"Hello?! Mayim, lovey, are you okay?!" he answered frantically over the phone.

"Love, calm down! Nothing happened. I just want to hear your voice. I miss you so much already, what time will you be home tonight?" she asked. They had been conversing since the time he left the house so he was surprised that he'd call him without texting him first and telling him how much he missed him.

Jim was relieved and sighed over the phone," It's sweet that you'd call me about that but just as I told you, I will be home before 7. Or if we can work more quickly then I guess earlier than that," he explained. "I am just surprised you'd call me all of a sudden without a text first so I automatically thought that something was wrong."

"There is...I miss you and I want you home," she replied almost in tears.

"Baby, it's only 2 in the afternoon. I promise that I will be quick and leave work early," he answered right away weirded at his wife who is suddenly emotional. But as he knows, it is maybe that time of the month again and she can be a dinosaur or an emotional fur ball when this happens. Which he discovered when they lived under one roof together.

"I thought that you love me..." she cried making Jim giggle over the line but subtly she will not hear it over the phone.

"I do love you and you know that I know that. But I am paid for today at work baby so I hope you understand. I can't just leave work even if I want to," he answered making Mayim sob on the other line. "As soon as I am done with work, I will go straight home," he assured knowing where these tears are from.

"Okay," she answered with a hint of sadness in her voice.

"Are you craving anything? So I can buy it before coming home. Or do you want the usual?" which was sundae and fries. It is something that she cries about when she is PMSing every month.

"No, I want pickles. Can you buy me a jar of whole pickles from Grillo's?" she answered and immediately stopped sobbing hearing food.

"Of course. Anything else?" he asked.

"You. I want you home," she pouted.

"Mayim..."

"Later..."

"Okay. I'll text you as soon as I am done and when I am already in the grocery store to pick up your bucket of whole pickles. I love you."

"I love you too. See you later, lovey," and ended the call. Even she, Mayim, herself, is weirded by her own actions but that is really what she wants at the moment. She was gonna put away stuff when her drowsiness won her over. She fell asleep on the couch and later was awakened by Jim's text message, telling her that he finished work and now he is headed to the grocery store. It was already 5 pm when she woke up. She then hurriedly went to the kitchen to get dinner started. She is still pretty much bewildered by her sudden change. She usually doesn't nap that long and even if so, she is still very tired. But nevertheless, she needs to cook for her husband. Thinking of a simple dish, she just came up with making pesto pasta since they have pesto sauce from their fridge.

Once the pasta was cooked, her husband arrived with a bucket of promised pickles, and in another hand was a tub of vanilla ice cream. Se didn't ask for it but he knows her well that she will look for it in the middle of the night. Once he entered the kitchen, it was filled with the aroma and he was thrilled to eat. Seeing her husband, she felt very ecstatic that when she sensed he is coming near her, she jumped at him and hugged him. Telling him how much she misses him.

"Baby, I've only been out of your sight for less than a day," he said placing the food he bought in the fridge for her to enjoy later.

"I know but I did," she said hugging him from the back.

"Baby, I am sweaty. I will change into house clothes then I will be more than happy to accommodate your hugs and kisses," he said as he gently unclasped Mayim's arms in his torso.

"No, stay. You smell so good," she whispered kissing his nape. Jim is still not confident that he smells the best since he just got off work and he had not changed his clothes yet.

He turned around to face her and kissed her forehead. "You've never been this clingy. What's happening?" he asked.

"Am I? I don't think so," she denied.

"I appreciate you being this clingy. I actually love it but I need to know where this is coming from," he sat her gently.

"Maybe PMS," she sighed "I am sorry. Please go ahead and change clothes. Dinner will be ready by then," she stood up and got back at what she was doing and turned her back from him.

"Don't be sorry, please. If something is bothering you, just tell me. You don't need to act like this," he told her as he tried to go to their bedroom to change when he heard Mayim sob.

He returned quickly and rubbed her arm gently, "Baby, what's wrong? Did I say something?"

"Maybe I don't feel that you don't love me enough that you won't even let me hug and kiss you after missing you so much," she cried not looking at him as she continued to stir the sauce that she heated up.

Jim just giggled at how Mayim was being ridiculous. He just didn't say anything and just hugged her. "I broke my wife. Sorry for making you cry. Just please, can I dress up and promise I will be right back," Mayim just nodded and let him go.

3 days passed and she was still acting the same. She wants to have Jim around her all the time. Even if he just went to go pee in the bathroom in the middle of the night, she'll cry. It may be the stress of her publication and them moving in a few days. But Mayim is not convinced and she is still not getting her period. She is already 4 days late. So without thinking or expecting anything, she grabbed a pregnancy test which she happens to have in her bathroom cabinet and peed in the stick waited for a minute, and looked at the result. She doesn't know what to feel. Would she be happy and thrilled or disappointed?

After pondering for a little while about what to do next, she felt a bit suffocated to stay at home so she took the liberty to go for a walk the same afternoon. While walking mindlessly on the streets, she can't help but caress her lower abdomen where the seed of her and her husband's love for each other is growing. She smiled imagining their life after birth and imagining what might their progeny look like. Would she be a girl version of her dad or a boy version of her mom or she may look like a combination of them both?

The very thought of being a parent is overwhelming. You are responsible for the outcome of the little human inside you. You also need to provide not just financially but also nurture and care. What if I am neglectful? What if I don't have the patience? What if I'm too selfish? thoughts that are in and out of her head. Unconsciously, her feet brought her outside the museum where the portrait of Amy is on display.

As she went inside, she looked around for new pieces on display. There were a few but most of them are moved from place to play for aesthetics. But she was glad that her portrait, as Amelia is unmoved it was still there. Still as bright and full of baffling emotions that move you. Well, only she and her husband and a few people they trust were the only people who knows what was behind this portrait.

Staring at it and looking closely, she can't help but be emotional. There weren't a lot of people so she was free to talk to Amy.

She smiled as tears streamed down her face. Oh, it's the hormones..."When was the last time your Sheldon and I visited you? I mean our Sheldon, " she chuckled. "We've been married. I hope you saw the theme and liked it because we did it for our love and in honor of you and Sheldon," she wiped her tears.

"And now, there's this little one growing inside me. I'm scared Amy but at the same time, I am so happy. You dreamt of having a family with Sheldon someday and Jim and I will start one now. It took another lifetime for it to happen. It's still exciting regardless. Wherever you are, I hope you are at peace with Sheldon," she closed her eyes and whispered.

Jim

Jim just got a call 2 days ago and had been offered to work with the Pasadena Museum of California Art as a staff member in their museum. He is offered a job as a curator of every art piece that belongs to the museum. It was exciting news for him that his capabilities as a conservator are appreciated in their field. He is very thrilled to take care of different types of art from the contemporary period and up until now in the modern era. He will be working there starting Wednesday next week. But here he is now finishing the commissions that he is left to finish before leaving their building to work in a different environment and with different people.

But he hasn't brought it up to his wife since he just didn't get the right timing of when to bring it up. Her mood swings are terrible lately so he is there to understand her. It's not like he hadn't practiced with most of his life with his extra moody friend, Kaley. Who's now pouting near him.

"I am not excited that you'll leave me alone in here," she pouted breaking the silence.

"I know but now you have the place to yourself. You sometimes complain that my face talks when I'm concentrating so I hope it's less bothersome now," he replied nonchalantly s he continued to work.

"Yeah, but it's not the same without you here. This has always been the place where we've worked you know? This is where we worked with the very first commissions that we accepted. And not to mention, the place where you worked with a portrait that lead you to your now wife," she sighed.

He just nodded as all of those she mentioned played back in his head. "It's true. But times change," he said not looking at her.

"Well, I just hope that you'll find happiness in whatever endeavor you have in life. Times change but us being best friends will not!" she claimed teary eyes and gave Jim a hug.

Jim chuckled and returned the hug. "Thank you, and I hope the same thing to you. And yes... we're still friends," he rolled his eyes and returned her hug. After their dramatic session, Kaley wiped her tears and went back to her station as Jim just continued what he already started.

Jim got home at around 6:30 pm after doing most of his commissions before his transfer next week. He is planning to tell Mayim the news over dinner so he came home with a bucket of the pickles she always crave these past few days. She blows through them like Skittles and it kind of got him worried since her diet mostly contained pickles but it is what she wants and she is kind of a dinosaur if she can't have what she wants to eat. She likes it really cold and would mix it with all sorts of food which may seem odd to others. It's not something that he finds weird for her to do since it is something she normally does whenever she is on her period. But what's weird is that she's pretty adamant to eat it with her. She'd even sulk or cry when he will not give in. Most of them tasted good. Some of them were atrocious. He'd eaten vanilla ice cream topped with pickles and Cheetos. He was also forced to eat a peanut butter sandwich with a few slices of pickles in it. It wasn't as bad as he thought it would be, it even turned out to be great. She'd also like to eat Lay's chips dipped in Cottage Cheese.

He is kind of nervous to go home as he does not know what weird food combo is waiting for him at home. But once he entered their almost empty apartment, it smells good. It smells like Brisket. Oh, he knows that Mayim does a mean Brisket. The kind that is very tender and very juicy. She would often praise his cooking but nobody can still top her cooking skills. As he approached the kitchen, she was also tossing seasoning and parsley to freshly baked garlic marble potatoes that could go really well with her brisket. He was thrilled about dinner. He came up to her and hugged her from behind. Mayim jolted in surprise and was relieved that it is just her husband.

"Hi, my beautiful wife! I bought you some of your pickles" he greeted behind her as his nose was buried in her hair.

"Hello, husband. Thank you for the pickles. I'll get on with that later. How's work?" she asked smiling and giggling being ticklish from what her husband is doing.

"Just the norms. Nothing really special," he said as he rested his chin on her left shoulder. "I could smell the brisket from the outside the door. I really appreciate you cooking us dinner. But sorry to ask this, what's the occasion? It is not our monthsary and it is definitely not our wedding anniversary."

"Nothing. I just felt bad for acting out these past few days so I just want to cook you something nice," she said as she plated the potatoes. "It's nothing for all the considerations and how understandable you are of my misfits even if I don't even understand myself. So please, accept this apology," she added as she placed the well-rested Brisket and baked potatoes on their table.

Jim just smirked with a frown on his face. "Honey, I am your husband. I vowed to be with you through the good and bad, thick and thin. This is nothing," he said genuinely making Mayim just sigh and look at him lovingly. Jim just chuckled and said," But I also accept apologies in bed. Just saying," Mayim winked at him making him nod and excited. As he pulled a chair for her and sat across her at their dinner table. "So, how're the revisions and your publication going?" he asked as he made a plate for himself.

"Oh about that," she started sitting up straight. "The revision was already finished a day ago and the first printed copy was about to be printed by today but I sent them another revision at the last minute so the printing and publication may happen next week," she explained.

" By that time, were already living in our house," he said in a hushed tone. "Oh, speaking of next week. I know I should have told you the minute I knew the news but I keep on forgetting when I arrive home. But I was hired by the Pasadena Museum of California Art as a staff member in their museum. I will start there Wednesday next week," he said a bit anxiously. Mayim looked at him with an awe expression. "I know that I should have asked you first before accepting the job! But I got too excited since it is a museum! And that if I worked there, I have more hours after work to spend more time with you. Please don't be mad at me," he explained successively anticipating Mayim to berate him making his eyes shut. But then he heard her chuckle and felt her hand on top of his that is tapping nervously on the table.

"Why would I be mad at my husband who wants to spend more time with me?" she chuckled making Jim release a sigh of relief. "That is exciting news. A new house, a new job, a new novel. Our year is starting really strong," she added as she chuckles.

"So you are okay with it?" she nodded with derision in her expression because he is asking something obvious.

"How is it?" Mayim asked as Jim took his first bite of the brisket and chuckled at his expression of closing his eyes as he seem to savor the brisket.

"I just orgasmed," he vulgarly replied once his mouth was empty. Mayim scolded his vulgarity in front of the food and laughed at him. "Seriously, this is so good baby. How do you do it? First and foremost with your baking, and now this one, also sex. It is so addicting," he complimented making Mayim blush.

"One year in our marriage but you still don't know the answer?" she replied.

"Well, I guess we'll never know the wonders of Super Mayim and her amazing work of hands," he said in a low tone voice making Mayim laugh. Mayim told him to continue to eat so they could eat dessert right after.

Third Person's POV

After their dinner, they cuddled on the couch and talked about their move. While on the subject, they talked about what they will do with the spare rooms in the meantime and talked about everything. Jim's excitement about her new novel. He helped her with her new novel yet he still doesn't know what the book entails since Mayim hasn't mentioned or shown him the unedited version. Since they met and became friends, Mayim had promised to consign every first printed copy of the novels she wrote and she will write. And now that he is now her husband and she is writing the story of their story, it just became much more exciting for him.

Fast forward to the day of their move, Jim just gotten acquainted with his new job in the Museum and is adjusting well to the changes. To be all honest he doesn't do a lot of stuff since most of the art pieces are well taken care of. What he needs to do is regroup the paintings to where it belongs. They are grouped based on their genre, period, and overall motif. But today, he took the day off to finish the move and bring the last of their furniture to their new home. Mayim was inside the master's bedroom to arrange their bedroom in how she wanted it to look since they will be spending their first night here tonight.

While she was in the bedroom, Jim was in charge of moving the furniture in the living room and the kitchen. He was just moving it to look presentable because they will be having a housewarming party tomorrow with their closest friends. After finishing the arrangement, he went up to their bedroom to ask Mayim that he will be out to buy groceries for the party tomorrow and for their dinner later. When he went inside the room, he saw that the bed is nicely made, and their wedding photos are hung on the wall, there are their wedding photo on the bedside table alongside his alarm clock. Jim smiled upon seeing the photos being highlighted by their beige-color-painted walls.

Mayim saw him come in with a smile plastered on his face as his eyes roamed around their room. "Do you like it?" she asked as she sat down in their bed.

"Do I like it?" he asked almost sarcastically looking at Mayim. "This is amazing. It's very elegant and it looks so relaxing. I love it!" he added making Mayim giggle as he sat with her on the bed and hugged her in the side. "Can't believe that this will be the house where I will spend time with you until we are older. Until you can't chew your pickles with your own real teeth," he chuckled with his epiphany.

"Yeah, and I bet that I will love you the same," she said as she lays her head on his shoulder.

"Oh, definitely. My love for you is like your book's copyright, and all rights reserved," he started making Mayim raise her sight to look at I'm, anticipating his reason. "That means that I am yours and that will never change," Mayim blushed and roll her eyes

"Here he is again with his cheesy lines," she chuckled making Jim laugh.

"And thank God you're not lactose intolerant or I will be out of here," he quipped making Mayin laugh.

"But you know what, speaking of lactose intolerance, my love for you is like diarrhea," she said making Jim frown at her with a timid smile almost holding a giggle.

"Why..."

"Because I can't just hold it in," she said making Jim laugh heartily.

"That is gross but I'll take it," he said as he kissed her forehead. "I'm gonna head out, do you want to eat something? Another bucket of pickles? You are running out," she asked.

"Hmmm, let's see. I think I want mangoes and yes pickles too."

"That's it? Anything else?" he asked one more time.

"I don't know but if I will think of something more, I will shoot you a text," she said as Jim stood up and kissed her at the top of her head. He bid his goodbye and went out and promise to be back in an hour and a half. Mayim just continued to design their room and when she got tired, she laid down for a while as she waited for Jim to return.

The next day, their friends will be there. They invited Chad and his fiance, Chanel. Kaley and his husband and Jenna with her boyfriend with some of Mayim's publication staff and Jim's new colleagues from the museum. Jim and Mayim dressed casually and had prepared refreshments for their guests before they come. They had prepared a brunch for their friends and since this was something that Jim likes to frequent and had mastered over the years he was the one who prepared the meal. Mayim help him prepare the ingredients and also presented to make the drinks as it involves alcohol.

When they were about to be done, their doorbell rang and it was Jenna with her boyfriend. Mayim opened the door for them and let them inside and hugged each other. The last time they have really hang out was still 5 months ago when she was around Pasadena for charity work for homeless people that are funded by their hospital. Mayim then pulled Jenna from her man and offered a tour around the house since she was also curious. Her boyfriend then offered to help Jim in the kitchen and even if Jim already told him that it was okay and he is a guest, he was pretty adamant to help so Jim just let him and thanked him. The was spacious, elegant, and chic. It's like their personalities in one. They went upstairs to show them the rooms and then out in their garden at the back Once they were there, Mayim was catching her breath which confused Jenna.

" Mayim, how are you out of breath we were walking slowly..." she said confusingly.

Mayim sighed as they sat on a couch facing their backyard and sat up straight. " I am about to tell you something but promise to not freak out."

" Okay... This sounds serious, but okay," Jenna replied anxiously.

" I would've called you over the phone to tell you about this but it's better to tell you in person. So I waited for this exact moment."

" Oh my God, just tell me!" Jenna said being impatient.

" I am pregnant," she said as she quints her eye anticipating her overreaction.

Jenna covered her mouth and was not able to speak for a few moments. Then she looked at her face and down to her stomach then up her face again." You're not kidding me right? Is this a prank?" she asked as tears started to form in the corners of her eyes.

Mayim shook her head no as she tried really hard to suppress her tears as well.

" Mayim...this is great news!" she exclaimed and hugged her friend as they both cried in tears. " Does Jim know?" she asked as they pulled back from the hug.

" Not yet. I am about to tell him. I was gonna tell him right after I found out but I want it to be special for him. He's gonna be a good father," Mayim said between tears. Jenna just nodded and hugged her again.

" Aww, you told me first? Mayim..." she said in awe. " I am so happy for you, Mayim. You deserve all of this."

" Thank you," she said. " You're gonna be a great godmother," she said smiling.

Jenna's mouth went agape and hugged her again, " Oh my God, of course, I will!" she said excitedly. Just when they were about to break from the hug, Jim came out holding a bowl of salad to put in the table outside.

" What's with the tears?" he asked as he walked past them.

" Nothing!" Jenna replied and wiped her tears and so was Mayim.

" Kaley is running late. So we should eat already or this brunch will become dinner if we will wait for her," Jim told them as he shook his head. Mayim chided him and he apologized and went inside to fetch the other food they prepared with Jena's boyfriend. A few minutes later, Chad arrived and bought Channel with him and bought a card game for them to play that is called "WHAT DO YOU MEME" since all of them like to exchange memes in their group chat and it would be a great bonding opportunity to those who will be at the party and not just them.

A few moments later more people arrived and so was Kaley and her husband. They then mingled with each other and talked to each other as they shared a lovely meal. Jim had told them about his new job in the Museum as a curator and how exciting it was. He would be glad to show them around they come to visit. Mayim also announced that tomorrow will be the scheduled publication of her book and all of them will have the first batch of the printed copy of her book. Jim frowned as he was promised that he will be the first eyes besides her publication staff that would read and view the story. Mayim just rubbed his back and gave him the copy and gave her friends her novel. Nevertheless, Jim liked it and was very eager to have it since he doesn't know what her twist in the story is. Mayim had told them to not open the books yet until they went home. They asked why but she just told them to do as they are told.

They had dessert and continue to converse. They were acquainted with Mayim's team really fast as they were also easygoing and their fun games and stuff were really they enjoyed. and at 3 in the afternoon, they all went home so Jim and Mayim cleaned up before they settled into the living room on the couch. The place might be different but the routine is the same. After hosting a party and after every cleanup, they will just sit on their couch side by side or cuddle not talking to each other. Then Jim stood up to retrieve his personal copy of her wife's book. Mayim just sat there waiting for him to sit back down close to her. She had this excited look on her face which she would always have whenever he would let Jim taste something she made. Jim then sat back down with her and snaked one arm across her shoulder as his other hand opened to book. Upon opening the book there is the first page that is the title and the next one is a dedication letter. All of Mayim's novels are dedicated to her beloved grandpa who got her into her love for writing. But this one was different. In the letter, it says:

For my dearest husband,
James Joseph "Jim" Parsons,
Whose kindest, warmth, and love I could never repay,
Even a lifetime of kisses and brownies.
But I will try it anyway.
I hope this book will show you ½ of how much you mean to me,
and me carrying our unborn baby. I love you more than bread.

Jim looked at her with a shocked expression and went again to look at the book and back to her face. He was speechless.

" Wait?! You're pregnant!" Jim yelped with excitement and shock in his expression. Mayim just nodded as tears started to form in her eyes.

" You really are..." Jim choked as tears clouded his sight. He then stood up and pulled Mayim in a hug. "Oh, my God! I am gonna be a dad!" he exclaimed as he twirled Mayim in a hug. When he placed her down he placed both of his hands on both sides of his face with his mouth agape. "I can't believe it?! Is this why you're very hormonal these days and your obsession with pickles?" he asked.

" Yes..." she uttered.

" Oh my God, are we really? How far along are you? When did you find out? Are you feeling anything? Oh Lord, I made you help me in the kitchen if only I knew that you're carrying our child, I should've insisted to do all of it and just made you rest," he asked and talked consecutively. Mayim held his hand to calm him down.

" Jim, sweetie I'm fine. I'm pregnant, not disabled I can still do chores," she giggled as Jim still fidgets in his seat near her. " To answer your questions, I don't know how far along I am. I want us to go together to get my first maternity check-up and I scheduled it for tomorrow. I found out only a week ago. I was frustrated that my period was late but also when we got married, I stopped taking pills as I have told you. We've only made love in days that I know it's safe so I didn't know why it was delayed even if I was experiencing PMS. I took a pregnancy test, and the line was faint but I know it's there. Then I took 3 more and it showed the same result. When the days passed, the line just got darker because I keep on taking one each morning to tell myself that it's not an illusion," she said as she stood up to retrieve her used pregnancy test sticks in her purse. " And I am fine. You bought me pickles again so I am happy," she added as she handed him the pregnancy test. " Sorry if I didn't tell you right away. I didn't tell anybody but my publishing staff to change the dedication letter that's why the publication was moved this week because I wanted to tell you in a special way."

Jim just looked at her in awe and pulled her in a hug. " You don't know how happy you made me the day you agreed to be my wife when you told me your vows, and now this gift...I don't know what to say. I am overwhelmed. I thought that I could never be happier but I am proven wrong," he said as she sat down beside him holding the proof that she was bearing their child. " Not to mention that you spill your identity by telling them that I am your husband."

" The world should know that I am married to you, you know. You're tall, sexy, and very alluring so putting your name in the dedication letter is another way of me saying "Hands off the merchandise". I don't want to get through our marriage thinking about those girls in the park and on the mall who eyes on you like you're sex on a stick."

Jim just chuckled "I think this is the hormones again. Ignore them, Mrs. Parsons. They can only look at me but they can never have this because you and only you are allowed to have this," he replied pointing his crotch and pinching his own ass.

"Well damn right you are!" she exclaimed and laughed. "But to be honest, I am kind of scared."

"Why?" he asked and sat up straight placing a hand behind her.

"Am I fit to become a mom? Would we be good parents? Would we give her or him everything she or he deserves? What if I lose our child? I can't imagine it because I already love this bean that is growing inside of me..." she said anxiously.

"Honey, I have no doubt that you will be a good mom. You are a great wife and that is proof that you are an even greater mom. As per being parents, everything is a learning curve. We'll learn along the way. Nothing is perfect and so are we. And you will not lose the child. Don't worry everything will be fine. It is our first time, I know it's scary but I am here. You are not alone," he smiled as he gently rubs her back in comfort.

"Thank you. That means a lot," she said tenderly as she cupped her husband's face and pecked his lips.

"I love you. And I love baby Amanda Amelie in mommy's tummy..." he said as he held Mayim's abdomen which was barely showing.

" Oh, so you get to decide the name?" she asked raising an eyebrow at her husband.

" It's just wishful thinking. We can come up with names we both like," he suggested calming her down.

" But I like Amanda Amelie for a girl. What about if he's a boy?" she asked her mood changing drastically.

" James Joseph Junior," he said right away. Mayim just glared at him and he quickly took it back, "But only if he resembles me. If he is a mini-me of you, He will be Mayim Junior," she glared at him again. "I am just kidding...What would you name your child? You are the one who's gonna carry it and I only planted the seed here. I don't know how I can even repay you for that so please, name our first child."

"Well, this comes from both of us so it should be a mutual decision. I agree with the names. Amanda Amelie for a girl, James Joseph Junior for a boy. But if he resembles me, I would want to name him after our grandfathers. Would that be okay?" she asked.

"Of course! Why would I argue with you on that? Name our child whatever you want. I will love him or her no matter what," he said as he placed his ear next to her belly.

"Baby, I will see you tomorrow. I am so excited. Do you know that Mommy and I waited 30 and more years for you to happen? But I am not sure about Mommy. I sure think I did. Maybe even a century but I will ask Uncle Sheldon about that. Be kind to Mommy okay? Don't make it difficult for her since she will be your house for 8 months or more. I will buy all of the pickles you want and eat all of the stupid things your mommy forces me to eat so the two of you are happy okay?" he spoke close to her stomach as Mayim giggled. Mayim ran her hands through her hair as she smiles at her husband.

"I love you," she said as she combs through his hair.

"And I love you," he said as he sat up and kissed her on the lips. "I am so happy right now knowing this. But I am thinking about Sheldon. How would he react? How would Amy tell him?"

"Probably through tailoring him a handkerchief that is embroidered and says daddy or something. I don't know," she chuckled.

"Well, whatever it is I know that Sheldon would just be as happy. Because I know that I am," he said as he rest his chin on top of her head.
