Ω When you start to feel something Ω

-Travis-

Waking up with Katie by his side sounds like a dream, but this is reality. He inhaled and let himself soaking in the scent of Katie's hair, which her hair is right under his nose. The scent smells like strawberries and a little bit of grass, not the kind of grass in the moist air but like the kind of breeze that has a little scent of grass in it. Is it because the shampoo she used or is it just a Demeter thing? His best guess is both.

This may be the first time of him being this close to Katie for such a long period. The idea of lying in her bed, having her scent swirling around makes him light-headed. He wished he can do this every day, considering the moment right now as a bless. It is a thing once you experience you will indulge with. Speaking of shampoo, he recalled the last time he pranked her by putting bleach in it, she really looks good in bright hair color...

Wait, what was he thinking! Even he liked the girl and prank her for years in order to get her attention, which he knew it's a poor move himself. Doesn't mean she will suddenly like him back. And the conversation last night about the dream, she mentioned someone hurting her, who is it? He couldn't imagine anyone will dislike Katie. Why did she bother asking him to stay?

Not that he won't be delighted, is just he knew in her head they are still enemies, not someone you will seek for comfort support. He has a thought of not want to be alone after the nightmares, he got it. But why him, she has several sisters outside who won't mind to give her company.

"Mmm, who…Travis?" a dreamy sound come out of under his arms, snapping him out of the thoughts. With Katie's face buried in Travis's chest (she must had turn to face him during sleep), her voice sounds like "Tttuffss".

He's sudden aware if his own heart beat will be heard by her, with her unconsciously move her body under his arms and more into his chest, his heart is literally exploding. For now, he isn't going to let his feelings reveal, and her reaction neither is something he's looking forward to find out.

"Morning, Katie-Kat. Are you enjoying the view in front of you? Nice pj by the way." Travis smirked. She is wearing a pink shirt with white dots as top and black sport shorts as bottom. He can visually see Katie's cheeks burning red after her realizing what happened last night and come to sense.

"I hate you..." Katie murmured while turning around, escaping his arms. After hours of her under his embrace, it's strange to let go the warmth. Travis raised an eyebrow at Katie's comment, he also figured that a 'morning just wake up' Katie is pretty easy to deal with, if there is no prank, of course.

"You're the one who told me to stay, remember?" He pointed.

"Fine, you are just irresistible..." Katie protests and raised herself up, managed to get out of bed by almost step on him. No fun.

"Thanks, by the way, no more nightmares since you came." She sounded a little hesitated before saying it, but wow, this is something he didn't expect. Though he sensing the 'but' this time.

"But can you please get up right now and leave, I don't want to be caught in this situation..." Katie eyes look straight through Travis', sincere and scared by the same time. Probably noticed his wasn't about to give any response, she starts to shoo him out of her room.

"Come on, it's only," Travis look down at his watch, "7:30 in the morning. There is enough time. I remember that breakfast starts at 8:30." Katie rolled her eyes and pushed him to the window, gestures him to flip. Then, she walks to the door, why does she need to open the door if he is going to flip the window? Click. A sound of the lock unlocked. Wait, the door is locked? She headed to the bathroom after that.

"Don't you also need to wake your siblings? And I need to wash myself before breakfast, I'm not doing that while you're in my room." Her expression became annoyed and words being sharp. She is fed up with him.

"Na, Conner can do the job for me." He started to remove himself from the window and sit down at her desk.

"Travis, just move your shitty ass before someone find out." She shouted from the bathroom. Oh no, she starts to swear, the easy-going Katie is gone, not a good sign.

"Fine, whatever you say Katie-Kat." He stands up, dragging himself to the window. No need to look at her, he knew she was rolling her eyes. He heads to the window tried to push himself up and flip out.

Suddenly, the door opened. The sound caught him off guard and cause him landing back in the ground. Gods, what kind of the son of Hermes is he, if couldn't even sneak out a room. Behind the door revealing a sleepy Miranda in her pajamas.

"Katieee, time to wake— WHAT THE HECK! Travis Stoll, why in Hades are you here?" Miranda looks full awake the moment she knowledge there is a person who shouldn't be here. Katie comes out of the bathroom, sighed and glared at Travis with the 'I told you so' face. His is now trying to find an opportunity to sneak back while he slowly moving his position to the window, which was stopped by Miranda, again.

"No, you are not leaving this room until you give me an explanation, I'm not getting over this. Answer, or I will report it to Chiron. Now, spit." Miranda's eyes shooting daggers at the two people, one stand awkwardly in front of the bathroom door and one in front of the window, ready to take a chance jump up and leave the crime scene.

"Well..., I sneak out of my cabin at night to ch— prank Katie, instead found out she was crying because of the nightmare." Travis starts to explain but cut off by Miranda.

"Again?" She asks Katie, so she knows something about her dream. Katie simply nodded. Miranda gave him a nod tell him to go on the story after getting a positive answer for Katie.

"Then I woke her up and she told me to stay." Miranda frowned. "No, I sleep on the floor, really! I was about to get back through the window and you burst in. Yeah. The end." Travis finished, though the 'prank' part and the 'sleep on the floor' part was a lie. He didn't want to give away the reason of him coming to Katie's with others than Katie, also he wished to be alive. Miranda isn't in a good-mood since she found out he's here nearly the whole night. He has years of experience with Katie to know that an angry child of Demeter isn't someone you want to cross path with. Especially when you are in a room full of plants.

"Really, Katie, I thought you don't break the rules." Miranda look at Katie with doubt, while Katie just struggled and says, "Uh, he's telling the truth though, it's me who tell him to stay."

"Okay... just make sure this won't happen again, I don't want to get heart attack every morning." She made her way to the door but pause in the half, "By the way, I think it's the first time I saw you two weren't shouting at each other, quite impressive" Miranda chuckled and left the room. Leaving Travis and Katie standing awkwardly in her bedroom.

"I better go back. Yeah. See you at pavilion." He really needs to left, he is willing to get beat up by her siblings.

"Wait. So, there's no prank today?" Is there a little disappointment in her voice?

"Err, yeah?"

"Even the others?"

"From me? No, I was here the whole night you do know that right?" He tilted his head, no idea where this conversation is heading to.

Katie thought for a second, "Would you meet me up at the strawberry fields after breakfast? Around nine-half."

"Seems fine to me. By the way Katie-Kat, you need to brush your hair, you look like walking out of the war zone." Katie growled. Travis left before she caught with the plants and soon disappeared at the window, running back to Cabin 11. As soon as he managed to get himself back to his own room, he faced with a pissed Connor.

"Dude, where did you go in this morning. I've been finding you, it's time to get the others to eat breakfast." Conner asked at Travis in disbelief.

"Nothing, just go for a morning walk and plan the prank, yeah." The explain even sounds lame to himself.

"You better go change and hurry up. The rest of us are heading out." Conner ordered; he seems to give up questioning him about the disappear. Sometimes Travis thinks that the position of the older brother has been reversed between them. After throwing on a camp T-shirt, baseball jacket and ripped jeans, he headed to the pavilion, wondering what Katie wants to say in private.

-Katie-

Good. Very good. First, she had a nightmare of her own father locking her in the closet, again. It's the trauma she has since five. Second, Travis, her very crush and sworn enemy, just popped himself inside her room while she really needed some company. Third, she asked him to stay, which fourth, he said yes. Fifth, it's not bad to sleep in his arms and it's exactly really nice. Last, Miranda found out about 'the little affair' she had with Travis Stoll. Great. Live couldn't be better.

She almost told him that the someone hurting her in her dream is her own father, but held back because he didn't tell her why checking her out is related to his nightmare. And was he really checking her out, or was he only came here to prank her? He told her no pranks today, why? Too many questions led too many with unknown answers.

She settled herself in green hoodie with black tank top inside, a pair of faded jeans after having shower. Mentally prepared she head out her room and go to breakfast.

Stepping out the cabin and she realized people are gathering outside. Chances are high that they are hoping for the 'Katie is angry about the Stoll's prank' scene. 'They are hopeless' She thought and glared at them.

"Don't you guys need to go eat breakfast? Just get the shit out of here." Katie snapped. She heard someone gasped, probably because noticing Katie swearing. Little did they know she only swears when she really pissed out. Mostly used on Travis so he didn't seem surprised this morning when she dropped the s-bomb towards him. The crowd soon faded, and Katie set her path towards the pavilion.

"Took you long enough... By the way, why exactly is he in your room at the first place?" Miranda murmured as Katie grabbed a box of cereal and pour it in her bowl. After sacrificing some of them to her mother, she digs in.

"He told you it's the prank." And it's not.

"And you asked him to stay because of the dream? You knew that you can just come and wake me up, right?" Miranda chuckled.

"It just slipped." Katie pouted. "Just telling you, I still find him annoying."

"Why? About the prank? What is it today?"

"I don't know. He probably hasn't finish setting up, and I'm really excited to find out. Yeah." Sarcastic.

"You two really should start to play nice. Everyone can see he has a thing to you, really."

"Whatever you say, I'm not buying it. And it's him started to play dirty at first." Even if I have a crush on him, having someone pranking you on daily basis isn't something fun to deal with.

"Whoa, don't be so harsh. Fine, I'll just go, remember ten for archery with Hermes. Yes, I'm not lying! It's 9:15 now so you better hurry." Okay, thirty minutes left to deal with the whole Travis Stoll thing. Finishing her cereal in ten minutes, Katie heads to the strawberry fields. She sits down at her usual spot, praying Travis to meet up quickly, she doesn't have all day.

"Hey, Katie-Kat, what do you want to talk about?" Travis show himself behind her with a smug voice. Katie turned around, seeing the corner of his lips were up, pasted on a dazzling, handsome face along with the sparking blue eyes. She sometimes thinks she can drown in those eyes. Katie noticed her heart beat sudden quicken and trying hard not to blush.

"You know what I want to discuss." Slowly she stood up using her plain voice, hoping not giving the fact she is caught off guard by his pretty face.

"No. Na da. Duh." She sighed. Why does he have to make things harder every time?

"So, about the sleepover incident last night, why are you at my room. Don't say it's about preparing the prank, because you told me yourself there isn't one today." Katie questioned with a demand, willing to get an answer.

"You see, I said I had a nightmare so I go check you out."

"I already knew that. What's the connection between me and the nightmare?"

"Um, No. I'm not going to tell you. Because last time I check that's my privacy." Travis suddenly tensed and his voice is not as relaxed as usual, expression darken.

"Good, I'll go tell Chiron that you sneak into my room last night, insisting to sleepover, and I assume the punishment would be worth it." Hearing this, Travis pursed his lips and eyes narrowed into a line.

"Gods. Fine, here's the answer and don't let me say it again. And promise you won't tell a soul about it."

"I promise, spit."

"You." Thump. "The nightmare is about you so I go check you out." He looked down at his feet, refuse to meet her in the eyes.

The words run through her brain, he said 'The nightmare is about you', not 'the nightmare is you'. She clearly knew the differences between the two and willing to be the former not the later. Travis finally raised his head and look at her, he opened his mouth trying to form words in his head.

"Oh okay, is there anything you would like to add?" She asked trying not to sound surprised. Her heart begins to pick up a pace, but her mind is a little aware of what he would say.

"Hey, don't get me wrong, we are still hating each other. Okay?" Travis runs his hair though his fingers, looks unbothered to say to words.

Katie froze for a second, but this is Travis Stoll, a typically jerk to her. Logically she knew she shouldn't take his words with such a big deal, but she still felt hollow deep down while he said the very word. Especially the 'hating each other' part, did he really hate her that much and tell her in front of her face? She knew they didn't adore each other but hearing him saying out loud is different. Besides, hate is a strong word. He just about to warm her up but things never went to the way she wanted.

"Oh. Right, there isn't any fucking 'warming each other up' between us anyway." Katie firmed, dropping the f-word. Travis winced, maybe thinking of the scene last night. So did she. But none of them say anything. "Also, the thing last night never happened, do you hear me?"

"Yes, ma'am. Though you didn't say this can't happen again?" Travis returns back to the smirking pain of Katie's ass. He really has no idea of how much damage his just cause in her mind. Katie let a strawberry vine wrapped his ankle and he tripped as he left. Nice.

I think my grammar exploded, yeah, please correct me if you find any mistakes. Hope you still enjoy the story so far. Tks : )
