Evelyn sat in the living room, enjoying a game of Ultra Jump Mania. How could she not resist another playthrough of that platformer, Theo was perhaps just as cool as that Italian fella known as Mario, Ultra Jump Mania was the hottest game in the Mushroom Kingdom and not just the world.

"Crackerjack!" Theo cried as he hit an enemy VIA Evelyn's control pad.

She giggled, she just loved the little guy's voice and his move-set. And what could go wrong now?

WHAM! The door burst open and a pair of masked men with guns entered the house. Evelyn paused her game, quickly shut off the TV and fled the room, attempting to avoid being spotted.

However, she bumped into a pair of the burglars. In seconds, the burglars tied her up and carried her out of the house, all while she screamed for help...

*End Flashback*

She screamed and wailed as her captors dragged her back towards the truck.

It had been a short time since Evalyn and the criminals holding her hostage had seen the Grammy Awards where Saiko reprised Darkest Hour and received the Grammy, Evalyn had been brought to the event to support the band. Now she was being taken away again.

Unbeknownst to the criminals as they threw her in the truck, a Lakitu drone was spying on them, recording their every movement and preparing to inform any particular parties about where Evalyn's location would be.

Evalyn screamed, "SOMEONE GET ME OUT OF..."

However, she was cut off when the gag was put back on and the door closed. The truck drove off, heading to the warehouse downtown where the criminals had set up shop, and the Lakitu followed closely.

Once it saw where Evalyn was held, it transmitted the footage to the ones it was sending it to. And then, the Lakitu flew off, minding its own business. SMG4 was leaving the hall with Mario and the rest of the crew.

Saiko carried the Grammy with a proud smile and looked to her band members, Meggy, Whimpu and Shroomy with a grin. This was an accomplishment they would be proud of, perhaps nothing compared to Meggy's Splatfest victory.

Just then, SMG4 heard his phone beep and saw the message, showing the footage and camera shots that showcased where Evalyn was held hostage. When Tari saw what the Lakitu drone had taken, she gasped in horror.

"Oh no!" The cyborg exclaimed, "WE FORGOT EVALYN!"

Saiko put her award away and punched a fist into a hand. "Damn, I forgot that she was kidnapped at some point!" She yelled, "Sounds like she's still kidnapped and it looks like we got intel on where she is."

Mario raised a hand. "Mario's got it!" He said, "Let's-a go launch a rescue mission, Mario's ready to do something very illegal!"

"We'll start planning right now, then launch an operation as soon as possible!" SMG4 quipped confidently.

Meggy nodded. "I hope we do save her." She said, "I... don't want a repeat of..."

"Golly gee!" Shroomy said, "Don't ya'll worry, Shroomy and crew will save the day and get that Evelyn gal outta trouble lickity-split before we even know it. As of right now, we've begun Operation: Claythorne Warehouse Rescue, as ya'll might say."

*Planning Montage*

*Much, much later, after lots and lots of planning*

SMG4 stood on the rooftop overlooking the district, his eye on the warehouse. After hours of planning, everything was in position for the attack. Tari would also be monitoring the mission with him, the others had their work of raiding the warehouse, taking down the criminals and getting Evalyn outta there in a flash.

Looking at the scene below, there weren't that many hitmen guarding the warehouse, it was only a small gang of criminals. If it had been the Anime Cartel when they had Axol's Inkweaver, the situation would certainly be akin to Anime Island.

He looked to Tari, who gave the thumbs up. It was time to begin the operation. SMG4 pulled up the walkie-talkie and said; "It's a go."

The command was given. In seconds, a tank rolled towards the warehouse and the criminals stationed near the entrance yelped in alarm, wondering why a tank was rolling in. The tank's gun aimed at the building's entrance and the tank's driver, Swagmaster6969696969 and Chris Gordman emerged in their battle armor.

"Taste the rainbow, motherfuckers!" Swag declared.

"We're not shooting rainbows, Swag." Chris told his partner.

"SHUT UP, CHRIS!" Swag turned his focus towards the shocked criminals, "Now, open wide and scream, shitheads, because we're going boom!"

The dim-witted guard pulled the trigger and the tank fired, causing an explosion that ruptured the warehouse and sent the guards scattering. Mario, Meggy, Luigi, Bob, Saiko and Demon Hunter Shroomy made their appearance, charging in and attacking the criminal guards in the vicinity.

"Take-a this, mamaf***er!" Mario kicked a criminal in the face and bashed in another one, "How about you suck-a Mario's spaghetti!?"

"LET HER GO, YOU SICK BASTARDS!" Saiko smacked some guns out of a couple criminals' hands with her hammer and then slammed it down, knocking her enemies over. Luigi ran in with his super special and sent a masked crook flying.

The gang raided the warehouse and Meggy fired her Splattershot, splatting criminals left and right. Bob swooped in, his blades flashing as he went for one of the crooks and decapitated him. But just as he was rejoicing, a gunshot went off and he was struck by a bullet.

"Ow, My OvAl EgGs!" Bob yelled, "ThErE gOeS mY nO-nO sQuArE!"

"BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!" Swag declared as he fired his tank and blasted crates and more portions of the warehouse, "I am the bringer of your doom!"

"Swag, you're gonna hurt the hostage!" Chris warned.

"Shit!" Swag ceased fire, "How am I so damn stupid, we could lose this bid. And even then, you seem to treat me like I'm a kid?"

Chris raised an eyebrow. "Da'f*q?"

The Glitchy gang cleared out the warehouse of any criminals they ran into until they found the tied-up Evalyn near a pile of crates.

Saiko head-bashed the first guard closest to the hostage and then sent the last guard flying high before Swag blew him up with the tank's ammo, sending parts of the criminal flying in various directions.

"Hey, Chris. An Inkling decided to try splatting the tank with red ink without us noticing." Swag commented.

"You idiot, that's blood!" Chris shouted.

Swag's eyes widened and the guard let off a blech, half-disgusted by the results of what he'd done. "Oh my gosh, we got blood on the tank!" He yelled, "Chris, get the blood off, I think someone spilled their brains and entrails on us as well! I can't look, LOL! I think I'm gonna be sick, LMAO!"

"Evalyn!" Meggy ungagged the hostage, "Are you alright?"

"Y-Y-You came to take me home?" Evalyn whimpered.

"Yes, Evalyn, we're here for you." Saiko said as she untied her.

"Let's-a go!" Mario whooped, "Wahoo!"

The group exited the warehouse with Evalyn in tow, with no enemies to face. SMG4 saw what was going on from up above and raised his walkie-talkie as Tari flashed a thumbs up. "Mission accomplished, everyone!" He said, "We saved the hostage and now it's time to get her home safely."

"WE DID IT!" Tari cried.

Meggy wiped some sweat off her forehead, another battle well-behind the gang, they'd once again saved another life and everything turned out well in the end, except for maybe the bad guys.

And there was no doubt that Evalyn's parents would be very happy to see their daughter home safe, even Evalyn couldn't wait to get back to her game of Ultra Jump Mania once she was safely home...
