Chapter 20
The next day in Oceablue City, Ash and Alice meet up with Reisa as they are practicing their songs. They decide to sing a song related to everyone who thinks that Ash is guilty of killing his mother, with Alice and some of their Pokemon accompanying.
"There's a face that we wear
In the cold light of day -
It's society's mask,
It's society's way,
And the truth is
That it's all a facade!" Ash changes his outfit into the one like a detective using his powers of illusion, while Alice wears the common clothes from the 18th century.
"There's a face that we hide
Till the nighttime appears,
And what's hiding inside,
Behind all of our fears,
Is our true self,
Locked inside the facade!"
Alice decides to join in as the masked figures start to walk past them.
(Duet) "Every day
People, in their own sweet way,
Like to add a coat of paint,
And be what they ain't!" (Ash) "That's how our little -"
(Duet) "Game is played,
Livin' like a masquerade
Actin' a bizarre charade -
While playing the saint!"
Then the shadow figures are gone as Ash keeps singing. "But there's one thing I know,
And I know it for sure:
This disease that we've got
Has got no ready cure!
And I'm certain
Life is terribly hard -
When your life's a facade!"
Then the scene changes into a shadowy town with shadowy figures in masks doing daily jobs like washing clothes, bargaining, and even working.
Alice sings, "Look around you!
I have found
You cannot tell, by lookin' at the surface,
What is lurkin' there beneath it!"
Alice points at one person and says, "See that face!
Now, I'm prepared to bet you,
What you see's not what you get -
'Cause man's a master of deceit !"
Ash and Alice run around the town and sing, "So, what is the sinister secret?
The lie he will tell you is true? -"
Ash opens the door from the inside building with Pikachu sitting on his hair and sings, "It's that each man you meet
In the street
Isn't one man but two!"
The town disappears and then it changes into the castle with a lot of shadowy people walking wearing fancy clothes and jewels.
"Nearly everyone you see -
Like him an' her,
An' you, an' me -
Pretends to be
A pillar of society -
A model for propriety -
Sobriety
An' piety -
Who shudders at the thought
Of notoriety!"
The castle disappears and the shadows become dancers and dance behind them, joining with some of Ash's Pokemon like Pikachu, Greninja and the others.
"The ladies an' gents 'ere before you -
Which none of 'em ever admits -
May 'ave saintly looks -
But they're sinners an' crooks!"
"Hypocrites!" Ash and the male shadow figures and Pokemon point at one side.
"Hypocrites!" Alice and the female shadow figures and Pokemon point at the other side.
"There are preachers who kill!
There are killers who preach!
There are teachers who lie!
There are liars who teach!
Take yer pick, dear -
Cause it's all a facade!" Both Ash and Alice are now leading the shadows as they dance together. Ash and Alice also put on their masks with the help of illusion.
(Ash)"If we're not one, but two,
Are we evil or good?"
(Alice) "Do we walk the fine line -
That we'd cross if we could?"
(Both) "Are we waiting -
To break through the facade?
One or two
Might look kinda well-to-do -
Hah! They're bad as me an' you,
Right down they're boots!" (Ash) "I'm inclined to think -"
"Half mankind
Thinks the other half is blind!
Wouldn't be surprised to find -"
(Alice) "They're all in cahoots!" Then Ash and Alice rush through the crowd of shadows and their Pokemon as they keep singing.
"At the end of the day,
They don't mean what they say,
They don't say what they mean,
They don't ever come clean -
And the answer -
Is it all a facade!
Is it all a facade!"
Then the Shadowy figures are gone and leaving only Ash, Alice, and their Pokemon.
"Man is not one, but two,
He is evil and good,
An' he walks the fine line
We'd all cross if we could!"
(Ash) "It's a nightmare
We can never discard..."
(Alice) "So we stay on our guard...
Though we love the facade."
(Both)"What's behind the facade?" Then all their Pokemon pretend to be hit by attacks and faint until Ash and Alice are the only ones who stand.
"Look behind the facade!"
Reisa finishes playing the music and says, "That is good practice. You all have very great voices."
"Thanks, Reisa. We are always worried since this song is not easy to sing." Alice says.
"Even though we're going to have a concert tonight, Mark would be bringing the Gym Leaders to your gym in the aquarium two hours before the concert as it is their turn for the gym testing." Ash says. "Are you sure you're ready for their challenge?"
"I heard they've picked that Water Type Gym Leader on purpose." Reisa says. "And I'm going to give her my best revenge."
"Don't worry, I'm sure that the plan is in action." Alice says with a small smirk.
Back on the ship, Mark is bringing the Gym Leaders on the S.S. Rainbow. Mark says, "This ship goes from FS Resort to Oceablu City, a city that is an island like Mossdeep City in the Hoenn Region. Oceablu is probably the paradise for Water Type Specialists, and we also have the biggest aquarium in the world."
"The Aquarium? So it was like the Ambrette one?" Grant asks.
"Bigger than that." Mark says.
After the ship is sailing, Mark is standing on the deck with some of the Gym Leaders listening to his guide.
"Now we're on Azure Ocean Road, a water route that leads from FS Resort to Oceablu City." Mark says. (If you have the HM for Surf and Dive, you can try to get everything in the route) "Of course you can also surf and dive here if you want to, under the sea is a paradise for Manaphy and Phione."
"Manaphy and Phione? You mean the two Mythical Pokemon?" Nessa asks.

"But it seems cool if we manage to see one." Kabu says.
Viola says, "You know, this ocean is really clean, surely this Team Rainbow didn't destroy something here, right?"
Mark sighs, "Unfortunately, no. Team Rainbow, led by Ruby, Emerald, and the vice commander Quartz tried to capture all the Phione and Manaphy using nets so that they can guide them to the Splash Plate. We managed to stop them, but our Psychic Leader Daniel was hit by Quartz's Absol's Razor Claw attack. Tox and Daniel have to stay at Oceablu City for a while so he can heal him."
"I'm sorry to hear that, but he's Larry's son after all, and I don't think he can get much worse." Brassius says.
The traitors only listen to a short while about what Mark is saying, and Lana says, "So there are a lot of Manaphy and Phione in the Azure Ocean Road... maybe they were right... the Manaphy wasn't May's old Manaphy?"

Misty is intrigued and she says, "If you like, I can pass it to her. I always help a fellow Water Master."
"Thanks." Mark nods and passes the box to Misty, then he quickly hides behind the wall to spy on Misty. Misty opens the box and finds that it is a beautiful cake with the Milotic decoration and a card that says, "Good luck with your concert."
"Is Mark sure that Water Type Gym Leader can finish that all by herself?" Misty thinks as she is also hungry, she wants to try a slice of the cake, however, when she does, Misty has eaten the sleeping hell hidden inside the cake, causing her to fall asleep.
"Now it is our chance." Mark thinks, he is thankful for Max to deactivate the cameras firsthand, and he also makes sure that nobody is on the spot seeing the whole scene. He switches the Poke Balls of the Pokemon that belongs to him and tries to inject the antidote to wake her up.
"What did you do to me?" Misty yells after waking up and sees Mark.
"I didn't do anything. I just finished calling the FS Resort. I could've asked the same thing about what are you doing and why you're sleeping on the deck?" Mark asks.
"Well, I..." If Misty wants to expose the sleeping pills in the cake, that means she has to tell him that she eats a slice of cake.
"Anyway, I think you should be ready to pack things up because the ship is about to arrive at Oceablu City in 5 minutes. Your friends are probably waiting for you as well." Mark says, which causes Misty to panic and quickly rush to her room to pack things up. Good thing that Misty takes the cake box that doesn't have sleeping pills in it, however, he makes some notes that he has to deal with the cake with the sleeping pills.
Here is a new chapter, and as you can see, another new Regi and we also have a new city to go to. And this route is just like the Hoenn Route 105 to 109. You can only access this place by using Surf, so the Pokemon here are at higher levels. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be the Oceablu City.
