"Hello? Wakey wakey, Kodokuna-kun."

'Eh?' Lifting my head off my arms, I find myself staring into a pair of golden orbs. The famous Naganohara-san was crouched in front of my desk.

"Ah, there you go! Sorry about waking you, but class ended like 10 minutes ago." She says, as she stands up.

"Yoi-chan! Let's get going already!" I hear one of Naganohara-san's friends call out from the classroom door.

"Coming!" She yells back, as she straightens her skirt. "See you Kodokuna-kun~." She winks, as she leaves.

Just like that, the popular blonde jk is out of sight. 'What just happened? Why talk to me?' Standing up and out of my desk, I look out the classroom windows.

The students were already leaving campus, and those that didn't were probably heading to their respective clubs. Grabbing my bag off the side of my desk, I push my chair back into my desk, and start making my way to my own respective club. The 'Go Home Club'.

Walking down the stairs to the ground floor, I let out a yawn. 'Damn, I really need to fix my sleep schedule. 4 hours of sleep isn't cutting it.' Opening my shoe locker, it's filled with the usual death threats and such, all anonymous of course.

Kill yourself, bastard…

'Yep.'

You deserve to die…

'Uh-huh.'

You're the reason she-

'Oho? Getting daring, aren't we?'

Kill yourself…

'Back to that already?' Putting all the notes aside, I find my shoes in terrible and unusable condition. 'Again? Seriously? What did my shoes ever do to you?'

Removing all the trash from the locker, I just dump it into a nearby trash can, much to the amusement of others. 'Har Har, very funny guys.' Closing the locker, I walk out of the school building with my indoor shoes still on.

In the crowd of people exiting the school, I catch sight of a blonde haired girl. One of the few who actually had natural blonde hair at least. I don't pay her much mind, heading toward my part-time job instead.

"Sorry, kid. I really am, but rumors have started to circulate, and I just can't let my business get its own reputation ruined like that." Tanaka-san apologizes to me, and it even seems truthful. "I know you're a good kid, hell, I remember you since your dad was…Look, I can recommend you to some of my other friends. They have their own businesses, and I'm sure they would want a young and able-bodied man such as yourself."

"Okay." I respond, my mind deep in thought. 'No, not okay. I still need another 100000 yen. Even that isn't enough for another year.' Doing the math of what I've got, and what I need, there just isn't enough time for me to scrounge up the amount needed before I graduate next year. 'He said he could recommend me, so I can probably get a good pay off this friend of his.'

"Could you tell me where it is? I…need this, no, a job. I still haven-"

"Hey, don't you worry kid. He owes me a favor, and he knew your old man too. I'll just make the call, just wait here." Tanaka-san goes into the back of the store, out of sight.

It doesn't take long as he returns with a note and envelope. "Here, it's his address. He'll be expecting you tomorrow, sometime in the afternoon. And this, this is your last paycheck. You may not have gotten all your hours in, but you were a fine worker. So, here's a week's worth of money, take care of yourself kiddo."

Taking them both, I feel him place a hand on my shoulder. "Your dad would be proud of you, kid. Take care of your mom and sister."

"R-Right. Thank you, Tanaka-san." I give him a slight bow, leaving the shop. "At least he didn't ban me from the shop…"

Looking down at the note, I notice the address isn't that far from my home. 'Tomorrow, huh? Damn, I forgot to ask Tanaka-san about the job.' Stuffing both the envelope and note into my bag, I head home.

Kodokuna Household

"I'm home!" Surprisingly I get a response back in the form of a loud unladylike shout back.

"Oi! Get in here!" Taking off the now dirtied indoor shoes, I enter the living room, coming across a drunken idiot, also known as my sister. "Get me another beer, will ya?"

Ignoring her, I sit at the Kotatsu next to her. "Mou…What a rebellious little brat you've become~!" She drunkenly says, leaning onto my shoulder, which sends her alcoholic breath my way.

"Gross. You'll never get married this way." I complain, switching to the channel with anime on it. 'Bleach? Eh, why not.'

"I won't have to worry abo-hic-out that…Remember our promise? And I was watching something!" She really needs a job…or a husband.

"I was a stupid kid back then, I didn't know how disgusting the thought of marrying my sister actually was. Also, stop breathing this way…"

"Mooom, Kota's being mean to me!" Please act your age…you're in your 20s already.

"Ayumi, leave Ko-chan alone." Finally… "You're back awfully early, did Tanaka not open up shop today?"

"…" Finding the table more interesting, she's able to connect the dots by herself.

"I see…Would you like anything to eat, Ko-chan?"

"I'm fine, I'm just really tired. Good night, Oka-san, Ayumi-nee." Getting out of the Kotatsu, I head for my bedroom, turning in for the day.

Outside Of Naganohara Fireworks

In front of the address to the place that was recommended to me by Tanaka-san, I noticed the store name. Naganohara Fireworks.

'...Remember. This is all for them…' Opening the door to the place, a cheerful greeting is sent my way.

"Welcome to Naganohara! I'm Yoimiya, let me-eh? Kodokuna-kun?!"

To Be Continued…

This was mostly made because Yoimiya is my favorite genshin character. And her rerun is fast approaching and I have guaranteed pity! Yay!

I already have Hu Tao, but I also have a r5 Rust, so why not put it to use?

I'll try to update soon…maybe.
