Two years later (Bell is 16)
'It's impossible; I cannot make peace with the people of this village. Even though I have lived here ever since I was a baby, no one took it well that I was a vampire. Announcing I was a vampire was a bad idea. I guess honesty doesn't pay. No matter crying over spilled milk, it just fills me with rage how people can wish the worst for someone just because of who they are. I'm leaving this village.'
Bell packed his stuff, but there was something missing. 'How could I forget it? Aunt's Cloak; grandpa never let me touch it; he said it was a precious family item, but I can't leave it behind; I'm taking it with me. ' Bell went to his grandpa's room and searched around the room
'Where was it? I can barely recall where he kept it'
Bell searched around the room.
Door Creaaaak~
Bell Pov: I heard steps coming from my house's living room:
"Bell Cranel, Are you there?"
A voice I'd never heard before spoke. I came close to the door, opened it slightly, and glanced at the living room, seeing the elvish man standing there seemingly investigating the place. He has green, short hair, and he also has some fancy clothes. 'An elf? is it an alf?' The Alf's are famous for being famous vampire hunters, and they were dangerous.
I closed the door slowly so it would not make a creaking noise. "Don't panic, don't panic," I said to myself. Panicked
I heard steps come towards the door. I quickly slipped under my grandpa's bed and hid myself. Fear was plastered on my face. Creaaaak~ From under the bed, I saw the elvish man enter the room. Now that I can see him much clearer, I'm sure he is an alf. "This isn't good'
the elvish man said to himself, looking around the room "Maybe..." he looked at the wardrobe, He slammed it open, prepared to draw his sword. I could see the disappointment: "God damn it, juk, got yourself all worked up again...", He walked out of the room, his steps trudging the floor.
I felt something snag into my shirt. Looking at what it was, it was an old display case. I crawled out from under the bed and wiped its dusty glass, revealing a robe inside. The cloak was black with a gold edge. I quickly opened the case and took it.
'It probably isn't safe to come out through the front of the house, so I'll come out through the window." I opened the window in my grandpa's room, quickly wore my aunt's robe to not get burned by the sun, and jumped through it. In front of my house, there was a crowd of people.
"Are they here to see the hunter slay the big bad vampire?' I felt angry and betrayed. Among the crowd, I could see childhood friends of mine, although they seemed to also want me dead, as they were also screaming, "Kill the vampire!" " I walked away from the crowd, trying to avoid these emotions.
I walked towards the stables. I picked up my pace as I saw what I think are more alf's walking towards my house. As I got there, I saw a carriage for hire 'perfect',
"I need a ride to Orario," I said to the man who seemed to own the carriage.
"A ride to Orario, huh... That is going to cost ya" the man said, seemingly looking for an opportunity to make more money.
"Look, money's not a problem; I just need to go to Orario." I spoke, holding out a pouch of coins.
"Alright, hop on the back," he said, getting the horses ready for the ride.
I hopped on the back of the carriage, and not long after the ride began, I quickly drifted off to sleep; I'm not too used to staying up at daytime after all after all.
