Sasha let out a groan as she slowly started to wake up before wincing at the sharp pain she felt in her lower abdomen. Great, the pain had begun. She hated these stupid cycles girls had to go through every month. Why did girls have to deal with this bullshit, why couldn't it be men?

As she got up from her bed, the door to the room opened to reveal Christa, her angelic smile ever present on her face. "Good morning, Sasha!" The Goddess in a mortal shell said happily. "Did you sleep well?"

Usually, Sasha would be ecstatic at the sight of her bubbly friend. Today, however?

"Yeah, it was fan-fucking-tastic," she replied with a growl. "It sure as shit doesn't feel like I have a nest of ants burrowing a hole downstairs."

Christa winced hearing her friend's tone as she realized what could've caused the sudden mood swing. "Oh, no, this isn't a good time, is it?"

"Oh, ya think?" Sasha growled out.

Christa remained at the door for a moment before slowly creeping out, closing it as she did so to leave the beast be. As soon as the door was firmly shut, she slowly backed away. How on Earth was she going to explain this during the roll call? How would Instructor Shadis take this information?

"Hey, Christa," she heard a male voice close by, turning her attention to Eren, who was making his way over to the petite blonde. "What's with that look on your face?"

"Oh, Eren!" Christa exclaimed as she looked back at the closed door. "It's just, well, Sasha, she has something a problem, and she doesn't seem in the mood to come out…"

"Seriously, that's it?" The green-eyed youth questioned as he walked to the door. "Hey, Sasha, whatever you're dealing with, it can't be that bad! Just come on out before Shadis chews you out!"

He got an answer almost immediately when Sasha opened the door with a dark look on her face, almost as though she were ready to murder the poor lad for his comment. "Eren Yeager… what the Hell did you just say?" She questioned in a threatening tone. "I want to know what you said about me bleeding isn't that bad."

"Oh, shit," the brunet muttered as he realized where he fucked up before Sasha grabbed him by his jacket and spun him around before tossing him to the wall parallel to the door, knocking the air out of his lungs. As he caught his breath, he heard the sounds of the door slamming shut before it was followed by the sounds of Sasha beginning to sob in her room, which stopped every so often before resuming. "Crap, what the Hell is her problem?"

Christa furrowed her eyes in concern. "Well, that's what I was going to tell you," she began to explain to the downed boy. "You see, I think that it's her time of the month. She's probably going to be like this for a week."

"Time of the -?" Eren began before he realized exactly what she was referring to. "Ah, crap, that suddenly explains a lot." He groaned as he got back up. "If I remember from what my dad taught me and my personal experience living with Mikasa for the past two years, we should probably find something to alleviate the pain for her a bit, even if it is just a placebo."

"Alright, but what can we use?" Christa asked the young man as he began to think of any possible answers. From what he knows about Sasha, the girl is usually carefree and optimistic to a great degree. She has an interest in food, especially meat, given context when she let it slip that she came from a hunting village, though only a few people knew about that. If that was the case, then most likely, she liked meat, but the only place where he could get any meat would be…

"Ah, Hell," he cursed under his breath. Taking a deep breath, he looked at Christa, who was rather perplexed at his reaction. "Christa, I need a favor from you."

"What is it?"

"I'm going to need you to cover for me later. You'll know why when you find out."

Later that night

Sasha grumbled as she walked back into her room, her rage reaching a peak as she thought over the day she just had. First, there was Eren, who mocked her pain that he didn't have to deal with. Second, Instructor Shadis bitched at her during training, which in turn, caused her to bitch at him before it turned into a screaming match until Christa, being the ever-perfect angel that she is, explained to him what was going on. He backed off for a bit, but she was still chewed out for talking back. And then, later on, Jean wouldn't stop running his mouth, going on and on about some condescending bullshit she could care less about, but she slammed his mouth shut and got him to bite his tongue, which was extremely cathartic for some reason. Lastly, Connie decided to be a dumbass and ask why he smelled copper, prompting her to slam his face into a table and yell at him to shut his mouth before she made her way back to the barracks, doing her best to hide her lower half from the world. Seriously, who was the stupid sack of shit that thought that white trousers were a good fucking idea for these uniforms?!

Between all the screaming, the aching, and some of the crying, she had a very awful day, and all she wanted was to relax and unwind from the pain before dealing with the bullshit again tomorrow. God help the fool that would try to interrupt-.

"Sasha?" She heard Eren's voice call out to her from outside the door. "Hey, are you there?"

Letting out a growl, the brunette opened the door to reveal Eren, who immediately panicked and raised his hand to her while his other hand was holding something underneath his jacket. "Hold on, hold on, let me explain myself," he pleaded, stopping the girl in her tracks before she made a motion to let him speak. "Alright, so, I know that you're on your period, which, by the way, I'm sorry for what I said earlier. That was completely out of line and I shouldn't have said it."

Well, at least he apologized for being a dick. It would've been better if he said that earlier, but then again, she didn't see him at all after lunch. "I can only imagine what you're feeling right now, so, I got you some stuff to eat to calm down a bit." He reached into his jacket before he began to pull out the articles of food to hand them to her. "Three loaves of bread." Alright. "Two baked potatoes, sorry about that." She'll let that one slide. "A pastry from the kitchen, it wasn't easy getting that without anyone noticing." Okay, going back to good stuff here.

He looked around to check if there was anyone else around before he looked at the mountain girl. "Don't tell anyone, but you would not believe what I had to do to get this from the Provision office."

Sasha's eyes shined with joy and her mouth began to drool as she saw what Eren had gotten. A whole bundle of meat, wrapped in twine and glistening with fats and oil. In an instant, her perception of Eren changed, and she began to see the warmth in his eyes, the soft features that made him appear so gentle and caring. She almost didn't even notice when she grabbed the meat from the young man before he spoke again.

"Alright, are we good now?" He asked. "I gotta go and get back before anyone notices that I'm gone, so I guess I'll see you tomorrow. If you need anything else, I'll try and see if I can get it for you."

"Wait," she whispered to him as he began to leave. "You can come in."

Eren looked at her with a surprised look on his face before he went inside, closing the door as softly as he could before Sasha spoke again. "Do you have a knife on you?" She asked, prompting Eren to bring out one that he had hidden in his jacket, which she swiped to cut open the twine holding the meat before slicing off pieces of it and the bread and stacking them together to make two, rather simple, sandwiches before she offered one to the young man. "Want one?" She asked him. "Come on, it's okay. You've done this for me, might as well return the favor."

"Sure, thanks," Eren said dumbfoundedly before taking up the offered sandwich and biting into it at the same time Sasha did. The girl let out a small squeal of joy as she felt tears form in her eyes, savoring the flavor of the meat as the juices filled her mouth. "Hey, are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," Sasha replied to the young man. "I'm just really happy having this."

Calming down, Eren smiled at her. "That's good to hear," he stated. "Are you feeling any better?"

"Yeah, I'm feeling a lot better now," Sasha told him. "Still having aches and pain, but I don't mind them now."

"Alright," the young man said. "And, like I said, if you need anything else, just let me know, alright?"

"It's a deal!" Sasha exclaimed happily, her mood having gone from angry to happy within a few minutes thanks to her friend's efforts. She was thankful for having someone like Eren having her back like this, helping her even after she snapped at him the way she did that morning.

A seed was planted in her heart as she felt it skip a beat.

And scene, people! I hope that tides you all over as well as it did me! I know I promised to do Thief of Wonder, but the shipping train won't stop, so I'm gonna keep writing more one-shots here while working on ToW, so hang tight! I hope that I'll get some more of these done, but until then, be good people and keep it fizzy!
