"I… I just… why didn't you tell me?" Doug trembled. He couldn't believe his girlfriend had dealt with all this pain, had been this hurt for so long, and he had no idea.

"Have you seen Auradon? They give you this… amazing idea of the world, and it was so beautiful… I just didn't want to take that away from you." Evie reached across the coffee table and grasped Doug's hands, her soft blue eyes meeting his as she spoke.

Silence seemed to choke everyone in the room, and stares shoot across the room until finally, Evie clears her throat.

"Anyways, who wants to go next?" She smiled sadly, glancing at her best friends.

Mal shook her head quickly and Carlos let out a timid "not it".

"Jay?" Evie put her hand on his shoulder, saying his name so softly no one else seemed to hear it.

He nodded his head, lips still pressed. Everyone turned their attention towards Jay.

"My dad is a pretty chill guy actually. I think I had it the best out of the four of us." The former thief couldn't take his eyes off of his fidgeting hands.
"Um, sometimes he'd get pretty mad. Usually when I didn't bring him something good for the shop. He usually had me run little errands for him, steal merchandise, make shady deals with other people. I dunno." He explained.

"His face would get all red, and he'd yell and occasionally throw things, never at me though. His bruises were more… internal then extrernal." He motioned with his hands. Mal nodded knowingly.

"There was a time where the stuff he said to me… got worse, I guess. I don't really remember." Jay lied. He remembered. He just couldn't explain it without crying, and he certainly wouldn't do that in front of the other seven.

"I went into a pretty terrible place. I didn't really see a way out of the stuff in the Isle, because it was three or four years before Ben came and got us out." Jay pointed at Ben and smiled awkwardly.

"A few times, I really tried… to end it. Most of the times, people usually found me and I ran away. On the fourth time, Mal found me." Jay leaned against Mal when he said this. He blinked back the tears in his eyes and finally tried to look at the four across. He hadn't even really explained it in detail, because he couldn't handle it.
Lonnie was crying. Jane was quietly comforting her. Ben and Doug just sat quietly.

"Lonnie, I don't wanna make you upset. Please." Jay pleaded.

"No, I'm not. I just… I wish you'd all had a childhood in Auradon like we did. I can't believe you all were stuck there for your whole lives, minus the last few years." Lonnie brushed her cheeks lightly, attempting to save her mascara.

"This was a bad idea. Let's be done, please." Mal brushed off her skirt, standing up abruptly.

"Woah, woah, woah. That isn't fair to me and Jay. Mal, sit down. It's your turn." Evie snapped.
Everyone just stared at Mal. Her eyes glowed a neon green for a moment, before she finally spoke.
