Finn's eyes burst open, and he let out a yell and found himself gasping for breath and clutching his chest.
"AMANDA!" he yelled out.
He looked all around him. He found himself in his own bed, having worn clothes to bed as the Kingdom Keepers normally did to avoid walking around Disney in pajamas.
It was daytime, and the sun was shining through his closed windows.
But this was not a beautiful and good morning for him.
Amanda had been kidnapped by the Overtakers, or whatever they wanted to call themselves.
Finn's door burst open, and he saw his mother standing in the doorway.
"Finn!?" she gasped. "What's wrong!? Why are you yelling!"
"Amanda mom!" Finn cried out. "Amanda's been kidnapped!"
"Kidnapped!?" his mother gasped. "By whom!?"
"Disney villains!" Finn yelled.
"What!?" his mother gasped. "But that's impossible! You said you and the others had defeated them for good!"
Finn's family knew about his Kingdom Keeper adventures. Every single detail.
"So did I," Finn said. "But someone has either resurrected them or found a way to create new ones!"
"And Amanda's been kidnapped?" his mother asked.
"Me and Amanda met up in the parks last night, and we were attacked, and I was returned but not her," said Finn. "But maybe Philby can do something. If her human body back home then..."
Before he could continue, his phone rang, and he could see it was Jess, Amanda's sister.
He answered the phone.
"Jess hello!" he exclaimed.
"Finn!" Jess cried out. "It's terrible! Amanda..."
"Yes, I know!" Finn replied. "Amanda isn't waking up. You see..."
"No, it's worse!" Jess exclaimed. "She's gone!"
"WHAT!?" Finn screamed.
"Her entire body is gone!" Jess yelled. "She's gone! She's been kidnapped! Stolen!"
"I know," said Finn. "I know what happened. But you need to get your ass to Florida! All hands on deck! It's an emergency!"
"I'll be on the first plane in an hour," said Jess. "Maybe sooner."
"And we will find her," said Finn. "I swear on my life we will!"
Jess quickly hung up and Finn got out of bed and to his computer.
"Time to round up the gang," he said to his mother.
"You do what you Kingdom Keepers do best," she replied. "Fight villains. And don't worry Finn, I know you will save her. I will go make you some breakfast to hopefully cheer you up a bit."
Finn nodded as his mother left him alone. He pulled up his email and sent a mass message to everyone.
EMERGENCY! AMANDA HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED BY RETURNED OVERTAKERS, SUPPOSEDLY. WHOEVER THEY ARE, THEY'RE DISNEY VILLAINS! ALL HANDS ON DECK! NEED EVERYONE IMMEDIATELY TO COME TO FLORIDA ASAP!
After he sent it, he waited and waited, and within five minutes he got immediate replies.
PHILBY: ON MY WAY!
MAYBECK: COMING RIGHT NOW!
CHARLENE: SCREW EXAMS! BE THERE ASAP!
WILLA: YOU CAN COUNT ON ME ANYTIME!
Because they lived farther away from Finn because everyone was in separate colleges, it took hours for everyone to finally arrive.
Willa and Philby went to the same college. They were the only Kingdom Keepers couple who didn't go to separate schools.
They arrived first because they were also the closest. The got to Finn's house around 11 am, where they both greeted Finn with big reunion hugs.
"Finn my brother," Philby exclaimed. "Man, I wish this could've been under better circumstances."
"Always great to see you buddy," Finn said. "No matter what situation."
They came into Finn's living room and Finn's mom brought them all snacks.
Every time Finn had friend's over, especially the Keepers, his mom spoiled them with every kind of snack she could find.
Around 12:00 pm, the sound of screeching tires was heard right outside Finn's house, and they all looked and saw Maybeck dash from his car and right through the open door.
"I'M HERE!" he exclaimed and panted. "I'M HERE!"
"Dude!" gasped Philby. "Did you literally speed all the way from college to here!?"
"While avoiding police yes!" said Maybeck. "This was an emergency!"
"Yeah, but we don't need two emergencies!" said Willa. "We don't need you getting arrested!"
Nevertheless, every greeted Maybeck with hugs and high fives.
Finn refused to tell anyone more of the situation until all the Keepers were here, even though they knew it would take hours for Jess and Charlene to arrive.
They both lived in California. Jess in the Imagineer program at Disneyland, and Charlene in Hollywood.
But they ended up meeting at the same airport because that was where the Kingdom Keepers were personally catered to. They phoned the Keepers and told them they would be on the same private plane that would get them there as fast as it could.
It was long and hard doing all that waiting. The Keepers tried to do other things than eating to keep themselves occupied.
They tried watching movies and tv or playing video games or board games, but the thought of Amanda all alone in whatever dungeon the villains probably had her locked in made them too upset and afraid.
Hours later, around 6pm, Charlene and Jess finally pulled up in an Uber and Charlene was the first to get in the house, where she tackled Finn and gave him a hard and long hug and kiss on the cheek.
"Oh, my dear Finn," she cried. "I'm so sorry this happened. But I promise you, we will find her! I promise you! I promise!"
Finn knew she was being over affectionate. She couldn't help it though. Even though she was Maybeck's girlfriend, she had still a slight crush on Finn.
"Uh...over here babe," Maybeck said tapping on her shoulder. "Boyfriend sitting right here waiting for his kiss."
"Wait your turn Maydork!" Charlene exclaimed.
Finn allowed Charlene to hug him for a little bit longer before telling her to let go, which she did, and then proceeded to hug and kiss Maybeck repeatedly and hug both Philby and Willa.
Then Finn got up and walked over to Jess. But before he could open his mouth, Jess burst into tears and hugged Finn tightly.
"My sister is gone Finn!" she cried. "Where is she!? Where is she!?"
"Well, that's what we need to find out," said Finn. "And now that everyone is here, we can finally begin."
Everyone was now gathered in the living room ready to be debriefed. It truly felt rather empty without Amanda, however.
"Alright gang, here's the situation," said Finn. "Amanda has been kidnapped. Kidnapped by a new group or force of Disney villains."
"What do you mean by that?" asked Maybeck. "Why not just call them Overtakers?"
"Because these are not the Overtakers," said Finn. "The old Overtakers thought like their movie counterparts and stuck to knowing and remembering stuff from their own time periods. These Overtakers me and Amanda fought last night knew how to use things that rhino and wolves from Robin Hood would never know how to use."
"So basically, even after we defeated the Overtakers for good, someone has brought back somehow new versions of them, or of Disney villains?" asked Charlene.
"That's what it seems," said Finn.
"But why did they kidnap Amanda?" asked Philby. "I mean, you're the leader. Why wouldn't whoever is now leading these villains want you?"
"And I'm assuming that this leader is not some new version of Chernabog," said Willa.
"No, the wolves clearly said their leader is human, and not a demon or fairy," said Finn.
"So, what are we dealing with another Hollingsworth descendant?" asked Maybeck.
"No there are no more Hollingsworth's," said Finn. "The last died with Junior."
"Just like how Amery died with you," Charlene joked.
Everyone glared at her. Finn still remembered the feeling of being crushed to death with Hollingsworth between two tables. He did not like being reminded of it.
"Sorry..." Charlene whimpered.
"Anyway," said Finn. "Whoever this is, his villain claim they know how we strategize and fight and everything."
"So, no what their goal is or who it is, it's someone from our past or someone who knows us personally," said Philby.
"As Jess already said, Amanda's body is gone," said Finn. "Which means they found some way to bring her body to wherever she is."
"Which means we can't return her safely," said Jess fearfully.
"So we're going into the parks tonight," said Finn. "And we search every corner until we find Amanda."
"We can't each go into a park alone however," said Philby. "We have no idea what these new Overtakers are capable of, so we have to stick together."
"What!?" gasped Finn. "But we cover more ground that..."
"Finn as much as I want to find Amanda, this is not up for discussion," said Charlene. "We need to stick together."
Finn snorted and grunted, but sighed heavily.
"Fine..." he said.
"Don't worry, we will find her no matter what," said Jess.
"You bet all your sweet asses we will," said Finn.
"Then let's get ready for tonight!" Maybeck exclaimed. "Man it's been so long since we've crossed over."
"I hope it doesn't hurt or feel too funny," said Willa.
"We'll all find out tonight," Philby said as he already had his computer out and was accessing his special access to the DHI program. "Now I know how this happened. Finn, you got into my computer when you were visiting me didn't you? You made it so you and Amanda could cross over?"
Finn shrugged sheepishly.
Philby sighed heavily.
"Never touch my stuff again," Philby warned.
Finn nodded.
"Tonight we start our search for Amanda," he said. "I will find you Amanda. I swear it I will!"
Oh boy reunions and planning! And up next, oh oh oh boy, torture time! Yes! My favorite! No suggestions though for this one I already have plans. Will Amanda be able to endure? Stay tuned to find out!
