"What can the British police actually do to you?" Roman asked.

"They can extradite me," said Kendall. "They'll probably wanna make an example of me. I could be charged with failing to report an accident, or even manslaughter."

Roman and Shiv's eyes met, the conflict over Matsson forgotten for now. At times like this, they closed ranks.

"So, the British are coming," said Roman in his mother's accent. "Well, they'll have to come through us. Connor too."

"We should tell Connor," Shiv agreed. She looked at Kendall. "I mean, if you're okay with telling him."

"I think I should tell Rava first. Her kids' dad could be going to jail in another country."

"OK." Roman nodded. "We'll tell Connor." Shiv nodded too. Kendall looked between them, overwhelmed with gratitude.

"Shall we do the hug thing?" asked Roman. "While we still can?"

Kendall nodded and pulled both of them against his shoulders. Shiv wrapped her arms around her brothers' waists.

"Whatever happens—" Kendall began.

"Shut up, Kendall," said Shiv firmly. "You are not going to jail, okay? We won't let that happen."

"Time to lawyer up." Roman stepped back, pulling out his phone. "I'm on it."

"Okay." Kendall nodded. "Thank you."
