Rewriting: Gwen 10 Hero AF Season 01 Episode 04

01 Despite their Heroics and being plumbers, Gwen and the guys still were teenagers and had to go to school, which is where we find them today. Specifically they were putting their things away and preparing to go home after class. We see the girl from episode 1, Crystal talking to Ben for a bit and Gwen asking if that was his girlfriend. Though Ben says he doesn't have a girlfriend. Kevin tells Ben he should ask that girl out, she was kinda cute.

02 This did annoy Gwen, and Kevin quickly added "Uh, not as cute as Gwen though." awkwarldy as Gwen then says that she agrees, Ben should ask her out. Gwen then shoves Ben over towards Crystal leaving Ben to act a bit awkward clearing his throat and trying to ask her out. Which she'd pieced together and says that he can pick her up Saturday afternoon and they could go out together as she then gathered her things and left.

03 Ben tells them never to do that again as Gwen and Kevin come over to ask how it went. He also says that she said yes at least, and that he was supposed to pick her up Saturday afternoon and had until then to figure out what to do for their date. Gwen also tells Ben that he needs to find something to wear since he couldn't wear his everyday outfits for that.

04 Sighing Ben says he's got nice outfits he'll find something other than his normal one for the date. Kevin telling him good, he didn't wanna disappoint after all. Ben tells them to stop messing with him, turning it back onto them asking Kevin when he'll ask Gwen out officially. Gwen then looks at Kevin and raises an eyebrow as Ben laughs and leaves Kevin on the spot while he went out to his car and headed home.

05 Eventually it was time for the date and Ben went to where Crystal had told him to pick her up from, which turned out to be an apartment building. Ben had gone up to the door of which one he was told holding flowers, because Gwen insisted to take her flowers, and when she'd answered the door Ben had given them to Crystal. She'd thanked him for the flowers and put them in a nearby vase asking if he was ready.

06 Ben nodded saying he was thinking maybe a movie, or going to the mall or something, really whatever she wanted to do today he was okay with. Though he did get reservations at a resturant in the city for later on, which she'd seemed happy to hear about and the two went to his car with Ben opening the door for her. Crystal joking that Ben was "Such a Gentleman." while laughing a bit and climbing inside buckling up.

07 Once Ben was in the driver's side and buckled in the two headed off with Crystal saying that she'd wanted to check a new place out in the mall but hadn't gotten the chance and so Ben took her there first. When they'd gotten to the store Ben was surprised to learn it was a magic shop and told Crystal that it was a bunch of hocus pocus.

08 Crystal says that Magic is real, and Ben responds that he knows magic is real and should have been more clear, shops like this are hocus pocus nonsense. He also says that real magic shops don't have paper machet bats on the windows, but still goes in with her just to see what kind of trinkets they were selling to the public.

09 The two were checking out the store seeing what all was for sale, just sorta having a good time. Though Crystal noticed someone was watching them, and tried to get Ben to come check out something else. The two were checking out the store and Crystal and Ben both began to reach for something at the same time and when their hands touched their eyes both began to glow with hers being a purplish pink type color and his being green.

10 There was also a small spark between their hands. Ben says that was kinda strange, then asked Crystal if she had any idea what it was? She says that she's never encountered it before but it was interesting and we then hear a man's voice calling out "CHARMCASTER!" Making Crystal stiffen as Ben went defensive getting between her and the guy that yelled.

11 Ben questioned what Hex was doing there, and Hex seemed confused for a moment before recognizing them and smiling a twisted sort of look and speaking saying Hello to Ben and stating that it seems he's met his niece Charmcaster while gesturing to Crystal. Ben questioned what he was talking about looking at the girl as she says that she's nothing like him.

12 Ben says he doesn't really care if she is his niece, she hasn't given him a reason not to trust her. This did confuse her as that wasn't the reaction that she'd expected him to have, Crystal, or rather Charmcaster, questions that he asn't mad? To which Ben answers that he is Mad, he's mad that Hex is interrupting their date and tells Hex to go away.

13 Hex tells them that's not happening and he will be taking his niece with him as he starts to go on one of those villain speeches about taking her and power and bla bla bla, Ben doesn't have time for this and throws an electrified card at Hex zapping him midway through his villain rant. Charmcaster asked Ben "You attacked him during his rant..?" Ben then shrugs saying he saw an opening.

14 Ben then grabs Charmcaster's hand again and their eyes light up again but then go back to normal as he leads her away from Hex, and away from the civilians. Though Hex had gotten up and got annoyed chasing after them. The two continued to a less populated area and Charmcaster threw stones at Hex that became stone bat creature telling him to get out of her life.

15 Annoyed Hex then blasts the bats away before blasting at Charmcaster, though Ben created a large card in front of the two of them made of energy that blocked the attack. Ben says that it's clear she has more knowledge on magic since he hasn't figured that one out yet, and asks if she has any ideas? To which she tells him that she does and grabs his hand telling him they need to do it together.

16 Ben nods as Charmcaster tells him the spell and then the two then cast it together at Hex bringing him down and making him crash into a parked car setting off the alarm. Ben quickly says "He'll pay for damages" pointing at Hex for whoever was watching and then ran off pulling Charmcaster by the hand as he'd done so.

17 The two then ran off getting away from Hex and the crowd as the cops were coming. Charmcaster then says that she probably should explain the whole thing about Hex being her uncle and stuff, which she does. Ben just shrugs it off saying that Hex is the bad guy here, not her. He then asks if he could call her CC instead of Crystal? He kinda liked CC. Staring at him confused for a moment she tells him sure.

18 Ben then tells her she's gonna love hanging out with him and his friends while checking the time and says they can still make their dinner reservation, if she still wanted to. CC then nodded saying that she'd like that and they go to the resturant which was a fairly nice place and asks how Ben how someone their age could afford such a place. Ben just tells her he's a space cop along with his magic stuff making an energy card appear with a wink.

19 The two actually had a good time despite the whole Hex thing. Ben paid for dinner and the two headed out after leaving a tip for the waiter and then Ben had driven her on home and walked CC to her door. CC told him that she'd had a good time tonight despite her uncle attacking, which Ben says he did too. We see CC kiss Ben's cheek saying that they should do it again sometime, minus her uncle getting involved.

20 Ben then nods dumbly while holding a hand up to where she'd kissed him and CC tells him goodnight, which he does say goodnight too and CC shuts the door. Ben then goes back to his car before then cheering loudly before getting inside his car and driving off. We then see CC behind her door chuckling to herself about hearing Ben cheering and then goes to wash off her makeup for the night.
