Sonic was feeling good after finding another guest at Sandy's family reunion. And speaking of Sandy, the squirrel sat down beside him at her barn. "How's your stomach feeling?" she asked. Sonic rubbed it to check. "A little better," he said. "But I'm starting to feel rather sleepy."

"Yeah," said Sandy. "It's not surprising since y'all often get sleepy on a full tummy." They both laughed. "You know, my favourite memory of the first time I came to your reunion was when we did a square dance together."

"Yeah," said Sandy. "To cheer me up after I got sad about my barn crashing down."

"I kind of did the same thing when I was a child," said Sonic. "To find my brother and sister." Sandy smiled. "So," she said, clearing her throat. "Y'all had a depression then song moment and last year, I had one. I wonder whose turn it will be next time."

"You never know," said Sonic with a smile as he got to his feet. "You never know."

Sonic was still feeling a bit too full to run, so he walked home instead. There was no telling who would have a depression then song moment next time, but Sonic hoped that whoever did it next would enjoy it just as much as he and Sandy did.

The end.
