"Do you want to do the deliveries today?"

The question startles Tina and she looks at the large order, immediately knowing who it was for. She raises a brow and studies her for a moment, "Did you sleep with a married woman last night from Faustian Press and that's why you bailed last night? The answer by the way is no, I don't do deliveries. You do deliveries because you're too cheap to hire a delivery service. You know we get calls from various delivery services, wanting to do the deliveries for us."

"I'm not too cheap," Charlie sighs. "They want to take a percentage of what we make, they charge all these fees to the consumer, and then on top of that want to take 20-30% of every order. I get that we could just do coffee, but I'd have to hire more morning staff, and I certainly don't want to deal with underage devils and angels to get their hands on my edibles, it'll be a litigation nightmare." Charlie paused and looked at Tina, "And no, I didn't sleep with a married woman. I really did go home to try and decompress!"

"I can already hear the but coming, so just get on with it."

"I got a request to go and save someone, so I went, and she was drunk."

"I don't understand why that means you don't want to—is this the person who yells at you every time you go in, the one where you have this dopey smile and always make sure to give her extra caramel?"

"No?"

"You're an awful liar," Tina responds. "Did she throw up on you?"

"No."

"Then I don't quite understand why you think that things will be awkward. By the way there was a handsome devil who came in last night looking for you. Like honestly he was gorgeous, if I wasn't in a relationship—"

"I really don't want to hear about how you want to be mounted by my brother, I'm not sure he'd even know what to do."

Tina's mouth drops and she stares at Charlie, she'd known her for years, since she'd been a student who had needed a job, Charlie had been a great boss, and she had benefits. "You've never once mentioned you had a brother!"

"It truthfully wasn't worth mentioning."

"What other secrets are you hiding from me?"

Charlie flashes Tina a smile, "Who knows, a dungeon master should have an air of mystery to them don't you think?"

"You are a massive dork."

Charlie laughs and sighs as she picks up a cup, she was going to have to make Miss Lopez's drinks and give it to her, perhaps it was best if she did stop flirting with her. It had pricked her pride to be confused for someone else, even if she really did want to sleep with her. She had probably mistaken their odd relationship for something as akin to friendship. Someone who was utterly immune to her charms, it was quite possible she had overstepped.

~ O ~

Even though she felt like absolute shit, and her head pounded she was not the type of person to simply take the day off. And while she was an utter bitch at times, she wasn't the type of person to simply miss a day of work because she was hungover. What she wouldn't do for a coffee right now, and something nice.

She pulls out her phone to check her text messages and pauses for a moment when she notices her father had sent her an update about her abuela on her phone, she hesitates for a moment before clicking on his name. Despite all the trauma that she had, that was still the woman who had helped raise her and she was grateful. She sighs, she'd stop by and visit her abuela at the nursing home. Maybe bring some fresh flowers, she'd have to wear something homely though and she wasn't quite sure if she had anything that would satisfy her abuela's insane standards in her closet.

A knock on her door causes her to look and her face falls when she spots the Wingless Wonder with what she could only imagine was a look of concern on her face, and she immediately spins around on her chair so Charlie can't see her utter mortification. "You're not supposed to be up here," she mumbles lamely.

Charlie glances down at Bacon-bit who gives her a look and she keeps the smile on her face as she enters the office, it's the second time she's been in it, the last time Bacon-bit had gotten loose and eaten Santana's lunch and she'd been ripped a new one for that. "I know, but I just wanted to make sure that you were alright. I said I'd stop bothering you," she hums as she places the cup on Santana's table and pulls a box of pastries out of her bag and also places it on the table. "I packed some extra goodies, figured you'd be feeling awful this morning from the hangover, you can share them if you want. Might help you with your problem. I find snacks to be a decent ice-breaker."

Santana resisted the urge to turn around and face her, she had been kind and she was still being kind. "I'm sorry about what I said last night, it was classist of me. There's nothing wrong with earning an honest living, and living within your means."

"Mmm," Charlie hummed. She wasn't poor, and she wasn't just a delivery girl, so she really hadn't taken it to heart. Santana didn't really know her after all and maybe she had concocted this weird feeling that they were friend-adjacent and she'd eventually fall head over heels for her and they'd start dating. It was stupid, but she had enjoyed their almost adversarial relationship. "Well the offer still stands, Miss Lopez."

Santana raises her hand giving Charlie a lame thumbs up and she only turns around when she's certain that Charlie's left the room. She should have at least thanked her, Charlie could have easily taken advantage of her, but she hadn't and she had left her job to come and take care of her. She wasn't sure there were many people in her life who would have done that. She sniffs the air and glances at the box that Charlie had left. It had some rather tasteful artwork on the cover, she'd never really noticed it before on her cup and she opened the lid and her eyes widened. Croissants, danishes, and other goodies were stacked in the box, far more than she could ever eat. She had really fucked up.

"Well fuck." She mumbled. Maybe she did have a friend outside of work and she'd been to blind to notice it. "Rachel, come here." She calls out maybe she'd take Charlie's advice just this once.

Santana glanced at the greasy bag of food that she knew her abuela shouldn't be eating, but she was trying to buy goodwill. Her papi would probably murder her if he knew she was attempting to give a recent heart attack victim arañitas, and pasteles. But again, goodwill was how she and her abuela operated. She had even buttoned up entirely, she could manage a quick meeting so she didn't have to hear her abuela complaining about how her family had abandoned her in a home.

Still it was one of the nicest facilities in the city, and she knew her father spent a fortune in making sure her abuela was well-taken care of, with extremely well-paid nurses. It also gave her abuela her independence, she could cook, she could visit other retirees, they weren't just waiting for death. Though if anyone attempted to put her in here, she'd probably get pissy too. Still her abuela had insanely high standards.

"Are you here to see Alma?"

Santana glances at the nurse who was exiting her abuela's apartment. "I'm sorry," she apologizes immediately. "She can be a lot. Thank you for taking care of her."

"What are you talking about Alma's lovely! She was a bit grumpy when she moved in but that's natural for many people who first come here, she's cheered up—"

"What?" Santana questions at a complete and utter loss for words. Her abuela had been surly ever since her abuelo had died, and that was back when she was a baby. So for her entire life her abuela had been a nightmare, one that she loved dearly but she'd never once seen her abuela as anything other than a fire-breathing dragon.

"Yes, she's been so lovely since she met Berto, he's in there now with her. Check up on her you might want to—"

Santana pushed past the nurse and entered her abuela's apartment without knocking, it was a small place, the last time she'd been here it had been rather bare but her abuela had decorated and even from the entrance she could feel a warmth and a nostalgia that reminded her of her childhood. It was of course only for a moment as her eyes locked onto her abuela who was currently on top of a man with gray hair—it's all she sees as she drops the food and immediately turns around, and takes off. Not bothering to stop or even check to make sure her abuela was okay.

She's not even sure where she's running off too or if anyone is following her, and she doesn't even want to begin to get to the logical conclusion of what her abuela was doing, old people didn't need to have sex! They were old, their parts shouldn't work.

She was halfway into her car before it hit her that her abuela was a hypocrite, and she was a pervert, and she didn't even understand how there could be such a disconnect between her words and her actions. She didn't truly want to have this conversation with her parents, and she didn't really have any friends that she could—Santana paused. She did know someone, someone that was probably a bigger pervert than her abuela! Someone who she owed an apology to. She bit her lip and dialed Rachel's number, she needed to get the address to where Charlie worked, she only hoped that she wouldn't get her in trouble with the boss.

Tina hummed as she wiped down some tables, glancing over at the bell that rings and spots a new devil walking through the doors, she looked slightly out of place for this period of time, it was just after the lunch rush and the next rush was due for after school, when the university students started to filter in. "Hi, one moment let me just finish cleaning up this table and I'll be right with you."

Santana nodded and glanced around it seemed like a rather—hip place all things considered she wasn't sure what she had expected, but it wasn't this. There was a little hang out corner and a second floor, and the entire back wall behind the cash register was covered with weird looking vials, like some weird laboratory. The upstairs section seemed to be cordoned off so she couldn't snoop upstairs. "I'm looking for the Wingless Wonder."

Tina made a face, "The Wingless—oh you mean Charlie. She's out on a delivery. If you want to have a seat, she should be back soon."

Santana glanced over at Tina, she had expected tattoos and another person of questionable taste but she was dressed reasonably for her job, and she wandered over to the little reading nook to take a look at what people at coffee shops read. She freezes when she spots a familiar cover, her book was on Charlie's shelf. "This is not exactly appropriate coffee shop material," Santana mumbles.

"That's literally Charlie's favorite book. The nook is what the staff likes to read, we usually rotate them out every now and again, but Charlie can't be trusted to put anything on the shelf that isn't—questionable. At least there are no pictures in that one. Not that she hasn't tried to create a comic of it—threats to our non-existent HR were made and she dropped the idea."

Santana's lips quirk upward for a brief moment, "Wait she can draw?"

"And play several instruments, she designed all the logos for the shop. She also draws the special of the day and makes terrible DnD puns for the specials. Do you play?"

"Play?"

"You do not," Tina answers the question and smiles. "Do you want some tea? A muffin? I think we still have some scones."

Santana glances at the board for a look at their specials, "The 4-20 karat chai, sounds like it will be nice."

Tina glanced at the board for a moment and then back at Santana for a moment before shrugging her shoulders, she didn't like to make assumptions about people. And really the 4-20 karat chai didn't have that much thc content, it was one of their milder drinks the spices from the drink hid the scent of marijuana and the taste of it. "Coming right up, would you like a scone with that? On the house."

"Thank you," Santana said, sitting at one of the tables clinging to her fancy purse. She wasn't quite sure why she was even here, but it did seem like a nice place, fancier than she had imagined. "What's upstairs?"

"Booths, and private play rooms, we usually only open that up for students and members, it costs money to rent them out for certain periods of time, we usually get a bunch of students coming by to study for exams. Exam season and the post exam-season are super profitable for us. We make a lot of money." Tina said as she hands Santana her order and took a step back. "I'll call Charlie and see where she is, just so you have an idea how much longer you'll need to wait. I do think the order was across town."

"I don't mind waiting, I don't want to get her in trouble with the boss."

Tina raised a brow at the statement, Charlie was the boss, but she didn't exactly like people knowing that. "I assure you that Charlie won't get in trouble with the boss."

"Even for wearing those silly sunglasses everywhere?"

Tina snorted, "I like you."

Santana smiles, she's tempted to see if she can make a friend but she's not sure what to say. "This is a really nice place, I know that we order here nearly every day, but I certainly wasn't expecting this," She admits. "I never really thought about it, but it's definitely a space that I could have used when I was back at university."

"Yeah, we were thinking of partnering with the university but it's a great place to make friends, and make groups of friends. We always have a few shy kids who come in who struggle with socializing and Charlie's really great at putting people together. You know we were supposed to do a wedding at some point but we simply didn't have the space, but we made a cake for the wedding, and we all got invited."

"So you just gather here and play games?"

Tina nods, "All sorts of games really. It's not just Dungeons and Dragons, it's board games, it's card games, there's no gambling of course, just the sort of geeky card games that involve monsters fighting other monsters. Though the winner of the tournament usually gets a bunch of goodies or a gift card from the store, it's troublesome but people get super into it. You should come to one of our events," Tina suggests grabbing a pamphlet with a list of their event nights on it. "I mean you missed our cosplay nights are usually a blast."

"Cosplay?" Santana questions.

"It's like dress up, it's silly it's fun, but I am still disappointed we didn't get Charlie in tights strumming a little lute. Making puns, so many puns. Groan inducing puns. But it's the ridiculousness of it that makes it a good time. We have events for all sorts of people and there really is something for everyone."

Santana bit her lip, it was hard not to judge a bunch of grown adults getting dressed up. "I doubt I'd be much fun to play with, I get weirdly competitive."

"Which is why the tables are bolted to the floor." Tina laughed, "One incident of a sore loser flipping the table and we had a guy in here the next day bolting all the tables to the floor. And that person was banned for a year, we had a picture up and everything. This is supposed to be a safe place for people. I mean we do have cheaters, but as long as they're clever about it and don't get caught, we don't mind."

Santana bites her lip, Tina was an angel, "So, it's mostly devils getting caught?"

"Hardly, sometimes cheating is required for certain games. You wouldn't believe how many treats Bacon-bit has gotten for acting as a distraction. He was a chunky little thing. That's why he goes on deliveries. The vet informed her that he was grossly overweight, and since he's sort of an unofficial mascot, he's on a permanent diet."

Santana frowned, "Is that why he stole my lunch?"

"More than likely, he's a bit of a food thief if we take our eyes off him. Smart as a whip too, once saw him literally pull the bacon out of Charlie's sandwich and eat it before she came back and wandered off leaving her with just a lettuce and tomato sandwich. That was certainly a day. Threats of turning him into a fur coat, loud howling, but our customers are some of the greatest, they just laughed."

Santana snorts listening to the stories that Tina tells her, as she picks up her scones, and nibbles at it, her eyes widen. Scones were basically lumps of clay in her mind but this was soft, and there was a citrus taste that was surprisingly refreshing. "This is heavenly. Why aren't we getting these every day?"

Tina hid a smile, Charlie had no problem giving out free samples to people for this very reason, they always wanted to buy more. "Well we can start adding them if that's what you want."

~ O ~

Charlie huffed as she blew a strand of hair out of her face and opened the door to her cafe, "Today was an absolute nightmare of a—Miss Lopez?" Charlie blinked, she hadn't actually expected Santana to visit her place of business.

Santana turned to look at her slowly before blinking at her, "Heey!"

Almost immediately she feels Bacon-bit pull on his leash and she unhooks letting him make a bee-line towards Santana who immediately begins to coo about how soft she is. "Tina, how much did you give her?"

"Only one 420-karat chai! And I gave her the lowest dose we had—"

"Instead of just asking if she understood that we sell weed? You can't make assumptions about devils Tina, it's racist!" Charlie huffed as she moved towards Santana.

"You're laate." Santana slurs, narrowing her eyes at Charlie, and poking her in the chest. She grins and then just leers at Charlie's chest.

"I was held hostage by the drag queens down the street, they've been trying to steal my dog for years. Distracting me with questions about the shop and streaming another game of dungeons and drag queens!" Charlie replies with a huff. "Have you ever done drugs before?" Charlie questions as she sits beside Santana who flops onto her.

"Drugs are for bad devils," Santana huffs at her. Before sitting up and placing both hands on Charlie's cheeks and stares deeply into Charlie's sunglasses. "Why do you call me Miss Lopez? Are you a maso—a masochist?"

"I have no idea what that word means but probably?" Charlie replies staring back at Santana. "Do you not like me calling you Miss Lopez?"

"My name is Santana! Saaan—taaaa—naaa." Santana says, sounding it out slowly for Charlie as if she's an idiot.

Tina snorts and Charlie spares her a glance, the entire store was going to have to do their whole service training again, this was a lawsuit waiting to happen and they had been perhaps been a bit lax with the questions, but that was going to change, even if it meant putting a giant sign up that indicated their specials. She couldn't expect some of their newer customers to be hip with her puns and clever naming schemes. "Alright Santana, you are very high so I'm going to take you home," Charlie suggests.

"To have sex?"

Tina bursts into a fit of giggles.

"If you reject me again I'll be mad at you," Santana says, grabbing onto Charlie's face for a second before pulling her sunglasses off her face.

Charlie immediately closes them and pulls away, "Tina," she grumbles, extending her hand as Tina heads to behind the counter and opens a drawer and grabs her emergency and hands them over to her allowing her to replace them, she opens her eyes to see that Santana currently has her sunglasses on. She tries to be annoyed but she really can't and sighs, "Why did you come and visit our shop today? Apart to bed me?" Charlie questions.

"My abuela is having sex."

"Abuela is—"

"I know what it means Tina," Charlie huffed. "And you're upset that you're not having sex?" Charlie questioned.

Santana nods her tail swishing back and forth, before it slowly begins to wrap around Charlie's leg, and she smiles as Charlie seemingly gets flustered, "She's a hypocrite," Santana blurts out. "Always made me felt ashamed of my desires and I have a lot of them."

Charlie glanced down at her leg for a moment and bites her lip she really had no idea how she had gotten herself into this mess, it felt like she was about to be eaten. It certainly explained Santana's hangups. "Santana, I don't have sex with people who are in relationships. It complicates my life—"

"I'm single. I don't want to be. I like someone."

A hopeful look immediately crosses Charlie's face, "Yeah?"

Santana nods, Quinn Fabray was everything she wanted, she was certain of it.

Charlie glanced over at Tina who gave her a thumbs up, "Alright, let me take you home and we'll discuss it when you sober up. Let me make you a proper cup of coffee!"

"And scones! And all the good treats!" Santana demanded.

Charlie huffed, it was one free treat and then you buy the rest, but Tina had drugged Santana, and she really didn't want Santana to sue her. "Alright, I'll pack up the sweet treats."

"Good!" Santana says before she picks up Bacon-bit and cuddles with him, unwrapping her tail from Charlie's leg. "You're a good boy aren't you." She'd never been allowed to have a dog before.

~ O ~

"You drugged me."

"I didn't drug you, Tina drugged you, and it's not my fault you don't know you—and it appears most devils don't know what a marijuana leaf looks like."

"I don't know why the stereotype is that devils are indulgent degenerates, you sell drugs," Santana huffed. "I could sue, you know."

Charlie's brow twitched at that, that was the last thing she needed. The entire team would be going through training. It wasn't that difficult to let people know what they were getting. This wasn't funny at all. "I'll talk to Tina and get you an apology—"

"I don't want an apology. What I want is for you to make it up personally to me." Santana watched as a dumb look crossed Charlie's face and she sighed, "I need you to direct some blood from your genitals to your last two functioning neurons. I have a proposal for you."

Charlie sank a bit lower in Santana's rather stylish but comfortable couch, she had no idea why Santana had exited her room wearing a rather see-through negligée "And if I do this you won't sue where I work?"

"Yes, I plan on seducing a man named Quinn, he works for a company that is helping to produce Infernal Touch. I'm seeing him in a few weeks, and I have no doubt that he likes me. I am nearly a hundred percent sure that he likes me. So I plan to have sex with him, in the most romantic and passionate fashion. It will be magic, just like in the movies," Santana informs Charlie.

Charlie stares at Santana for a moment and then looks down at Bacon-bit who looks up at her, before looking back at Santana. "I'm confused, I thought you wanted to sleep with me."

"I do. I need you as a crash test dummy, or, well, expert training." Santana says, staring at Charlie. "Don't worry there will be rules. No kissing, no cuddling. Absolute secrecy, and absolutely no dogs inside my apartment after today."

"Why?"

"I feel that if we're going to do this then I don't want any false expectations. This is purely a physical relationship, without any emotional investment on my part or yours. An agreement, I'm aware that I'm irresistible and I don't want to break your heart. Understand?"

"I mean—I guess. It's not like people haven't used me as a living sex toy before, it's sort of a speciality of mine, I just don't really understand why you need to do this with me? If you like this Quinn guy—just have sex with him?" Charlie said scratching her chin, this was the oddest proposition that she'd ever heard.

Santana flushed at the question, "Honestly, I'm a bit intimidated. He's gorgeous, like drop dead gorgeous, and I'm sure he's slept with many women in the past. I simply don't want to look bad and—" She bites her lip, "I need to relieve some stress. It's been awhile and I don't want to be too much."

Charlie stared at Santana for a moment longer, "I mean I suppose that's a plan, but I don't really understand why you're coming to me for this. There are hundreds of hook up apps, I've got them on my phone. You're a really pretty devil, so I don't really understand why me. I'm sure there will be plenty of men, women, devil and angels that would swipe right for you. Plus I'm pretty sure you hate me—unless you've changed your mind."

"I was horrible to you a few nights ago, and even though I treated you like absolute shit and insulted your job numerous times, and how you live. You came by the next morning to try and help me and see if I was okay. Honestly there are times when I think you're the biggest idiot on the planet, or maybe it's the fact that you're an angel. But you're honestly the only one in that office that doesn't hate me, even after seeing me at my worst, and I do trust you. I don't really trust people easily."

It's a moment of vulnerability and after a momentary pause Charlie shrugs her shoulders, well she had wanted to sleep with Santana for awhile, and perhaps this would get it out of her system and she could move on. "Okay. But you have to cancel the dog rule, and you have to sign something that you won't sue the coffeeshop."

Santana made a face as Charlie held up her dog, and she huffs."Fine."

Charlie places Bacon-bit down, and pats the couch beside her. "Should we start today?"

"I—mean—yes," Santana swallows, she could hear her heart pounding in her ears, and she stiffens as she sits beside Charlie who pulls off her jacket. "I—where are we starting?"

"Santana, I do know what I'm doing so relax, and leave everything to me. For tonight at least, let's just take one step at a time."

"Are you sure?"

"Of course, besides, weren't you very interested in my technique? I mean I don't know why you needed to get all fancy when all you really wanted me to do was eat your pussy. Besides I need to make sure that you keep up your end of the bargain so let me do my finest work." Charlie said as she pushed Santana's legs wider. When Santana closes her eyes, she pulls off her sunglasses. "You can tell me to stop at any time, if it's too much and I'll stop."

Santana nods wordlessly and takes a quick peak as Charlie slides down and leans in and gives her clit a simple but firm flick of her tongue, and her entire body just melts at the touch. All thoughts of Quinton fly out of her mind as Charlie begins to work her magic, touching her and feeling her body. Perhaps it had been too long since the last time she'd been in bed with someone. This was a—her eyes roll to the back of her head as she's suddenly hit with the wave of pleasure, she couldn't even remember what her name was at this moment, and she had no idea how Charlie could even move like that. This was a new beginning.
