Chapter 1 A New start

AN: This is my first time writing a fanfic in a long time. The updates right now will not be frequent. My grammar is not the best.In this fanfic Percy and Annabeth never got together. The same can be said for Rosalie and Emmett. This will be a Twilight X Percy jackson fanfiction with the pairing of Percy X Rosalie. Also I will be fixing the formatting however right now I'm only using my phone. Once my laptop is fixed I will fix it. There will be changes form the original stories.

Dreams. For demigods it was never a good thing. If you had a night with no dreams of any sort it was a good thing. Since the end of the giant war Percy had been unable to sleep. He had changed since the war ended but after two wars fought, and spending the last 5 years fighting non stop, it all came to a sudden halt.

After the war it was the beginning of August and it was supposed to be Percy's senior year. For the first week after the war Percy stayed at camp but ultimately there were too many memories for him so he decided to live with his mom and Paul.

It didn't take long before Paul and Sally realized that Percy had changed a lot. He kept to himself and almost never left his room. When he did it was always to work out or go for a run. The only other time he left was to grocery shopping and to check on his mom. Sally knew her son better than anyone, and she knew that even when he smiled it was nothing but a mask.

She was able to convince him to go back to school his senior year and go for graduation. Thankfully since Paul worked at Goode he was able to get him back into school. They both hoped it would distract Percy from everything that happened but it only kept him more distant.

By the time December came along Sally knew something had to change for him. She tried many different times talking to her son but every time he would smile and hug her, telling her he was fine. Sally decided it was time for her son to have a change of pace. He only ever knew New York and the life of a Demigod, and it had taken its toll on him.

For the the final straw was when he got into a fight at school and got suspended. It took a lot to get her son angry but she knew even he had a breaking point. Unfortunately for the other boy his breaking point kept getting closer and closer and it just happened that he was the one to make Percy break.

So on December 3rd a Monday night, and after a weekend of consideration she finally told him that they needed to talk. That's how they ended up here at the dining room table while Paul went to see his family for the week. Yet as Sally sat there watching as her son did the dishes after dinner, she didn't know how to talk to him.

When he just finished drying off the dishes and headed for his room she knew she had to act "Percy" she called out. He turned around and walked back to the table, already having a feeling about what the talk would be about. He knew he let his mom down, yet she didn't speak once about it "Mom I'm really sorry. I swear I didn't mea-". She put her hand up signaling for him to stop. "It's not about the fight Percy... well it is but not just about the fight." She stated quietly.

She looked down at her hands trying to gather some courage to talk to her son. "Percy ever since... everything ended you haven't been the same. I bet you wouldn't have been the same after the first one but you were taken from me before we could even talk about it. I wasn't expecting you to just be ok, how could I? But you've changed so much and I'm worried about you". Percy looked at his mom before quickly looking away after seeing her on the verge of tears.

He knew how much his mother loved and cared for him. How much she sacrificed for him. Though he wanted to yell and scream "What did you expect?" It wasn't her he wanted to yell at. He was just so tired, yet he was expected to live like nothing ever happened. Everything that happened was all Just too much for him to take and he finally just broke. Even just talking about it a little bit now... he just wanted to forget. "Percy, do you remember your cousin Bella?"

Before he even got a chance to reply his mom continued. "Her Father, my half brother, lives out in Washington in a small town named Forks. If I remember right the last time you saw her you were about 3. Before him... I talked to your uncle Charlie and asked him about you staying with them for a bit, and he agreed." Percy quickly looked up and was about to refuse but Sally beat him to it.

She grabbed Percy's hand in hers and made him look at her. "You've changed Percy I'm not saying you don't have reason to, but I at least want you to be happy again. Maybe you need new memories, maybe just some time and space from everything around here." She suggested. She squeezed his hand a bit after he started to look away "what about the monsters, and my life? What about if they need me?" Percy asked.

He saw his mom finally let a tear fall from her eyes. "My son, though you experienced more than any adult and you are one, you are still a boy, a boy who never got to have much of a childhood or a normal life. As for the monsters since the war none have come close to you. Your life I just changed the story for Charlie a bit for the more mortal version. If they need you? Your 17 and have fought more than anyone has you need a break. You need some time Perseus, and your father agrees" she stated more firmly this time.

She stood up and walked over to Percy just as he stood up she hugged him. Though he towered over her by a good foot she embraced him as tightly as humanly possible. For the first time since the war ended he let some tears shed for all that he lost. When his mom leaned she wiped the tear from his eyes "Percy I love you more than you could ever know. I want you happy as does your father. He's going to talk to you before you leave but I want my happy and sarcastic son back. I want to see you smile with out your straining to get it." She said as she held his face in her hands.

he looked at his mom and nodded "ok... I'll- I'll try mom" he said as he pulled her into a hug again. They both sat there and for the first time in a couple year got to talk, really talk and catch up. Before he retired for the night his mom reminded him that he would be leaving Tuesday morning.

That night when Percy fell asleep he his dream took him to his favorite beach. Montauk. As the waves splashed on the beach he felt the sea breeze blow across his face. "Percy". I hear a deep baritone voice say. I look over and I see my dad in a Hawaiian shirt and some khaki shorts.

When Percy looked toward his dad he saw a sad smile adorning his face. He walked up to Percy and put his hand on his shoulder "I was never a true father to you. Yet the things you've had to do for our family you've done without hesitation. The times I haven't answered you or the times we've dismissed you as nothing more than a threat you still fought for us. I know you didn't do it for us but for the good of everyone. But you still shouldn't of had to fight. You've changed us for the better weather you know it or not. Even your uncle Zeus has changed for the better. You've surpassed all other heroes in our history but your also one who's had to go through the most. I know nothing I say will justify what you've gone through or what I put your or your mother through but I want you to at least know this Perseus."

As Percy looked up at his dad he understood why his mother said he got most of his looks from his father. The sun kissed skin that showed how much time he was outside along with the sea green eyes that enhanced his jet black hair. His high cheekbones and sting build that showed how much he worked out, was all in common with his father. The only difference being the fully grown beard his dad had and the age. "Why did you never help mom?" Percy asked quítele while looking at the waves as they crashed at the shore.

He heard a small sigh before he looked back at his dad, "your mom always was better than any mortal I've ever met. She never wanted anything from me even when I tried to give it. She knew who I was yet treated me as if I was no different from anyone else. She meant the world to me, yet when I found out she was pregnant with you I thought that if I turned a blind eye everything would be ok. But I soon realized how strong you were and I tried to convince your mom to take you to camp yet she refused. So when she married that man, I'm spite of the truth I knew, I hoped you would be able to live a semi normal life. Yet I was also selfish and hoped you wouldn't appear at camp and my brothers never would have known I broke my oath. That's the thing about gods we see everything as temporary, and we have many other faults as you've seen. I happened to make many mistakes. Ik the end though your mother raised you better than I ever could. And even if I was in the picture I would have passed my faults to you." He said as Poseidon too looked back at the waves.

Percy looked at his father "Than after all this time, after all the times you could have interfered why now? When I needed you and asked even for the smallest things you weren't there? So why now?" He asked with tears starting to fall from his eyes. Poseidon took his hand off Percy shoulder and sat down, with Percy following suit. "There's the ancient laws... but as much as I could use that as an excuse it's not a real good one. As I said gods are many things prideful being one of them. I guess in my own way I thought if I showed you were better than anyone else I would be shown in a better light. I also simply didn't know how to. I've never been a real father no matter how many children I've had, demigod or immoral. You were the only one I've had that I've wanted to be a father too. So I kept my distance but every time you came back successful the more and more proud I became. I always watched you weather you know or not but I saw you slowly changing, and I knew it wasn't just because of you growing up. When I saw what you were like after the Giant wat I couldn't let you keep living the way you were, and when your mom asked for help even from me I couldn't turn you away again. After all you've done after what you've been through you deserve more than what you have Perseus." Poseidon stated.

Percy looked over and for the first time he saw his father trying to keep his tears at bay. "I know nothing I say will help or probably be of any comfort, but I'm going to help you now. Everything you need for going to forks will be ready for you when you wake up. Don't worry about getting a ride from your moms family... I think it's about time my son has a car. Perseus I know I haven't been a good father but I'm going to try and be one even if you don't want me to be. I promise my son, I will do my best to better" he said before hugging me. Percy never once let himself believe that his father would be there for him, but for the first time he hoped his father would be around. Percy hugged his father back and cried and let his dad hold him. He closed his eyes and heard the waves become distant and he felt only the hold of his father. He faded into Morpheus realm. For the first time in a couple years Percy felt some hope for a brighter future.
