Chapter Twenty-Three
Waves Of Aversity
A/N: WARNING-The character known as Sage Amesawa uses a lot of profanity and colorful language as part of his "colorful" personality. Be prepared if you are sensitive to that. Saseme and her team kept to themselves in the back of the room. Watching as the remaining Genin worked at making fast friends with the mysterious Kabuto... With her gaze set intensely on her brother's back, she could feel even at that distance, that Sasuke too, was a bit tensed up.
I wonder what he's learning over there...
She thought to herself.
"Hmm...I dunno." said Sage,"Maybe we should have stayed back and took advantage of the opportunity to learn about our opponents." said Sage,"I mean we are technically rookies, and most of the candidates here are older and a lot more experienced than we are..." he blinked.
"Go back if you want." said Saseme,"But I learned the hard way that nothing that good comes without a price..." she stated,"Basic Ninja rule 101: If something seems too good to be true...don't trust it so easily."
"Hate to say it...but she's right." said Hana,"Sure we may have gathered useful intel, but at the same time we could have been giving away vital information on ourselves at the same time."
"Right..." said Sage,"I didn't consider that..."
Suddenly a loud battle cry sounded all through out the room, demanding the attention of every last Ninja that resided in it.
"LISTEN UP!" it exclaimed," MY NAME IS NARUTO UZUMAKI! AND I'M GONNA BEAT EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU! BELIEVE IT!"
Sage and Hana were taken aback where as Saseme couldn't help but snicker to herself.
Leave it to Naruto to make things interesting...!
She chuckled.
"What the hell!? Is that guy CRAZY or what!?" gaped Sage,"What a DUMB ASS!"
"No joke!" said Hana,"What's he trying to do!? Get us all KILLED!?"
This time Saseme let out a hardy laugh. Which shocked her team even more than Naruto's outrageous out burst.
"Holy shit!" said Sage,"I think that's a genuine laugh right there!?"
"Genuine laugh!? forget that!" said Hana,"I didn't even know that freak knew how to SMILE let alone Laugh!"
"HaHaHaHa~ Well~!" Saseme beamed,"If Uzumaki Naruto isn't afraid, then neither am I!" she grinned. It was a genuine one. A Bright smile that lit up a room and made Sage, and even Hana, blush in surprise while the Lavender wearing Ninja's heart skipped a beat before melting into a smile of his own.
Well...I'll be damned...
Sage chuckled.
Anyone who can smile like that from the heart...can't be a bad person...
There's just no way!
He beamed.
"No kidding!" Sage grinned,"If Naruto can take em...surely we can trash them all in a beat!"
"Ha." Hana smirked.
The three team mates exchanged glances with each other, before all rolling into a fit of laughter. A warmth filled Saseme's heart in that moment. For the first time...she actually felt like she had friends.

Meanwhile just outside the door, two once concerned Jonin, now were both engaged in their own moment of chuckling.
"One of yours, I take it?" asked Kokoua.
"No doubt about that..." Kakashi chuckled,"And you too...your team is right there with him it seems."
"HaHa...it certainly seems that way, doesn't it?" said Kokoua,"And here I thought they'd never melt the ice between them...
"Looks like we're in for a Hell of a year." said Kakashi.

"Ahhhhh~ I feel A LOT better now~" Naruto grinned after having said his piece it even brought a Grin to Sasuke's face. As well as Kabuto.
However, the rest of the room didn't seem at all thrilled.
"Hmmm...isn't that the same kid from before?" asked Kankuro as he watched the scene play out.
"He yips just like a little dog!" Temari smirked,"Wouldn't you agree, Gaara?"
But the youngest sibling had his attention elsewhere. Focused firmly on the Uchiha girl at the top of the room who smiled as bright as the sun.
Saseme...
He thought to himself.
You look like you're having fun...
He blinked.
I wonder...are you pleased, right now?
"Huh? Gaara?" Kankuro blinked. But when the Genin didn't respond, he just looked to his sister and they both shrugged.
Kiba, appalled by this boy's stupidity blinked before speaking his two cents.
"Uhh...can you say that again, a little louder?" he said sarcasticly,"Didn't quite catch it!"
"What gives!?" said Shikamaru,"You trying to get everyone in the place to hate our guts or what!?"
To which the knucklehead responded with laughter, though a certain pinkette behind him was not at all amused.
"Naruto, you JACK ASS!" Sakura bellowed as she threw her arms around his neck in a choke hold,"Why'd you fucking go an say something like that!?"
Watching from above, team 15 could hardly maintain their giggles and only laughed even louder amongst themselves.
Though, things went south really quick. Three sound shinobi began darting through the crowd without anyone's notice, quickly catching Saseme's attention. Her eyes trembled as she read the speed of their movement.
Kankuro, prepared to release the body on his back when Gaara put his arm in place to stop him as he watched to see how the scene played out.
Saseme however, reacted quickly.
"Cover your ears!" She said to her team mates and quickly ducked them each down, when suddenly she heard a sudden ringing in her ears and coughed a small bit of blood from the after math.
"Saseme!" Gaara gasped in a whisper, he wasn't expecting them to have any affect on her at all since she wasn't even their primary target.
"Dammit, I knew I shoulda stopped them!" Kankuro whispered.
"Is she okay!?" asked Temari,"How? She wasn't even the target!"
It was only for a split second, before Saseme was able to re coordinate herself.
Their attack...so intense!
She thought to herself between pants.
Imagine being on the receiving end of its full blunt!
She huffed.
...Glad I wasn't...but...
Kabuto wasn't as lucky. He was able to dodge the attack quick enough which alone was impressive. But then, suddenly the glass of his eye wear shattered, and fell into a pool of his own vomit, striking fear and shock to everyone that surrounded him.
"Wh-What the hell was that!?" Hana gasped, unable to comprehend what she just witnessed.
"Saseme!" Sage called out,"Are you all right, Babe!?"
"Y-yeah..." she said firmly, "I have hightened senses...so it effected me even though I wasn't in its path..." she sighed, relieved to finally be stable once again as she eyed them down below.
She saved us...
Hana thought.
Maybe I really am wrong about her...
Saseme blinked as she tried to read the situation.
Sound Village...
She thought to herself.
It makes sense that they would have sound based attacks...but still!
She blinked.
That's the first time I had ever seen anything like it...!
Before the scene could esculate any further, a sudden puff of smoke filled the room, and the sound of a voice similar to that like some kind of Drill Seargant took over.
"ALL RIGHT, YOU BABY FACED DEGENERATES...PIPE DOWN AND LISTEN UP!" it said, demanding the attention of the room while Sage and Hana tried to help Saseme straighten out.
As the smoke faded, a massive group of Shinobi now stood in the front of the room, but one man in particular stood out in the center. He had scars across his face, and wore a wicked smile as his presence screamed intimidation! His eyes gazed sharply across the room, and his lips curled into a smirk.
"Now then..." he said firmly,"...It's time to begin!"
