The boy is gonna be the death of him.
Yes, it's definite. Obi-Wan is absolutely certain of that.
Force! He was having a bath, for just 20 minutes, what could Anakin possibly do in this 20 minutes?
He quickly put on his tabard and robes and hurried to the training grounds.
In the last rays of the dimming sun, Obi-Wan found his 9 year old padawan and master Ija-Lau standing at the training grounds. Obi-Wan looked at Anakin, the boy's head was lowered in shame. Oh Force...
"Is this yours.. Knight Kenobi?"
Ija-Lau said sharply, handing Obi-Wan something. "My...my lightsaber? How did you- I left it in my belt-Anakin!"
Anakin's head snapped up at Obi-Wan's shout. "Anakin, what were you doing with my lightsaber?" he demanded.
Anakin was practically shaking like a leaf. He had never heard Obi-Wan shout before. What would he do after finding out what Anakin had done?
"Master Ija-Lau," Obi-Wan panted, "what happened?" "You should ask that to your Padawan, Kenobi." Ija-Lau said, "He was involved in a sparring match with my Padawan, Keth, using your lightsaber. My Padawan was using a training saber, so it practically melted when your fully charged saber attacked it. My Padawan's hand is gravely injured Kenobi, and he is in the Halls of Healing."
Anakin's face was as red as the setting sun on Coruscant. He just wanted to crawl into a hole and die. Obi-Wan's face wasn't angry; it was sad and ashamed. He didn't know what he should say. "Where did I go wrong?" he thought bitterly. "I'm extremely sorry for this, Master Ija-Lau," he said, "but I assure you that this will never happen again."
Ija glared at Anakin, "It would be better if you taught your Padawan some good behavior, Knight Kenobi."
Obi-Wan didn't say anything; he just lowered his head, just as Anakin did. Even after Ija-Lau blew past them, Obi-Wan still didn't look up. Anakin looked at him. Obi-Wan's face was devoid of emotion. His shields were high, very high.
Anakin wasn't sure whether he should speak up or remain silent.
"Please go to your room, Anakin."
"Master, I'm sorry, I promise."
"Anakin Skywalker, go to your room right now!"
Anakin ran, ran for his life. He felt as if he were caught up in a sandstorm,
and there was no way out.
Upon returning to the Jedi quarters, Anakin fell on his knees. He had made a terrible, terrible mistake.
