~~Hello readers, welcome to my Pokemon/Yu-gi-oh Arc V fanfiction.

~Introduction to My OC~

Greetings viewers, my name is Sioku Marie.

I am a 12-year-old girl with brown hair and blue eyes.

I was born with a special healing power called cell activation.

This ability allows me to heal people and animals by touching and focusing my energy on their wounds.

My hobbies include playing with Pokemon, training, meeting new people, having Pokemon battles, and traveling.

My fears include medical facilities, complete silence, and losing loved ones.

I am a Pokemon trainer from the Sinoh Region.

So far, my Pokemon team consists of Piplup, Starly, and Shinx.

I have also registered for both the Grand Festival and the Sinoh League.

~End Introduction~

This story begins in Twinleaf Town.

My mother Kara and I live in the southwest house.

Up on the second floor, I lay asleep in my bed.

All three of my Pokemon lay asleep beside me.

My bedroom door was wide open.

Back on the first floor, my mom sat on a couch watching Tv in the living room.

Kara is a woman in her late thirties with short red hair and brown eyes.

Her outfit consisted of red tennis shoes, blue ankle socks, blue jeans, a red long sleeved T-shirt, and a red jacket.

Kara pointed to a dark type Pokemon called Umbreon laying down beside her.

"Umbreon, please go wake Sioku up for me," she said.

Umbreon shook off before it stood up and bolted upstairs.

Back in my room, I heard thumping noises and woke up.

I looked toward my doorway and saw my mom's Umbreon entering my bedroom.

Umbreon walked slowly toward my bed.

I giggled at the sound of Umbreon's nails tapping on the hard wood floor.

"Good morning Umbreon," I greeted with a yawn.

Umbreon stretched its neck out and licked my face.

Shinx let out a low growl as it sensed Umbreon.

"Knock it off Shinx," I said sternly.

Shinx lowered its head sadly.

I petted Umbreon under its ears while lost in deep thought.

Umbreon panted lightly as it leaned against my bed.

I was suddenly pulled out of my thoughts when I heard my mom calling for me.

"Sioku!" Kara shouted.

Umbreon's ears perked up with curiosity.

"I'm coming Mother!" I called back.

I sat up and pushed the covers off of me.

Shinx and Piplup yawned and stretched their bodies.

Umbreon shook its head before exiting my bedroom.

I giggled at the sound of Umbreon running downstairs.

Shinx crawled into my lap and nuzzled me.

I ruffled the Pokemon's fur in return.

Piplup affectionately leaned against my back.

I petted its head before giving Shinx a gentle nudge.

Shinx slid off my lap and stood next to me.

"Let's go everyone," I urged.

Shinx and Piplup hopped off my bed and started to run around the room.

Starly rose from its perch on the wood of my bed.

I watched the little bird as it flew toward me.

Starly fluttered in circles above my other Pokemon.

I swung my legs over the side of my bed and stepped onto the floor below.

All three of my Pokemon followed behind me as I exited my bedroom.

I calmly led them downstairs and into the living room.

Our dog Trooper met me by the bottom step.

Trooper is a Rottweiler with black fur.

The dog wagged his long tail while staring at me.

"Hi Trooper," I greeted as I petted his head.

Trooper licked my hand in return.

"Let's go outside," I said in a playful manner.

Trooper immediately turned his head at that and panted happily.

I then raced Trooper and my Pokemon through the kitchen.

Shinx launched a spark attack on Trooper which caused him to snap at the Pokemon.

Trooper arched his back and slammed his front paws on the floor in front of Shinx while growling menacingly.

Shinx backed away with its ears flattened in fear.

I was half tempted to laugh at the sound of Trooper's growl.

However, I shook my head to suppress the temptation.

"Both of you, knock it off!" I shouted sternly.

Trooper and my Pokemon took off outside as soon as I opened the sliding glass door.

I shut the door and then made my way into the living room where my mom was waiting.

"Good morning Mother," I greeted as I sat on the opposite couch.

Kara looked away from the Tb.

"Same to you Sioku, what happened in there?" she replied.

"Shinx tried to start another fight with Trooper," I answered with a sigh.

"I don't know why Shinx likes to pick on Trooper," Kara commented.

A brief period of silence passed between us.

I looked out the window and watched my Pokemon run around in the grass with Trooper.

Before turning back to the Tv, Kara looked at me.

"Sioku, you must get a move on. The contest in Jubilife City will begin in two hours," she said.

"Yes ma'am," I replied before standing up.

I then hurried back into the kitchen.

~Time Skip to After Breakfast~

I had just finished doing my chores when I saw Trooper and my Pokemon approach the back door.

Trooper began to whimper as he clawed at the glass.

The sound made me giggle to myself.

"Come in everyone," I urged while opening the door.

Piplup and Shinx followed Trooper inside while Starly flew over their heads.

All four of my companions followed behind me as I walked quickly up the stairs.

I couldn't help but chuckle as I listened to Trooper's tail tap wildly against the wall.

Trooper panted happily as he circled around Shinx.

Shinx let out a low warning growl while glaring at Trooper.

The dog lowered his head down to Shinx' level and barked loudly at it.

The hairs on Shinx' back stood up as it continued to growl at Trooper.

I looked down at my electric Pokemon and said in a joking manner. "Shinx, put those hairs down right now. You're not fighting anyone."

Shinx calmly walked away from Trooper.

Trooper sat down and let out a yawn.

I entered my room and closed the door behind me.

Then I changed into a different set of clothes that were neatly laid out on a wooden dresser.

My outfit consisted of pink, sparkly flat shoes, pink dress pants, and a purple frilly blouse.

I put on my favorite necklace before sitting down on a stool in front of my vanity.

The necklace is a silver jewel that hangs down from a gold chain.

I retrieved my brush out of a drawer and started to brush my messy hair.

After styling my hair into two braids, I set my brush down on the vanity and stood up.

Staring at my reflection in the mirror, I breathed a sigh of satisfaction.

I grabbed my bag off the desk and turned around.

"Let's go everyone," I urged as I walked toward the door.

Trooper excitedly bolted after the others as soon as I opened my bedroom door.

I giggled at the sound of Trooper running down the wooden staircase as I descended.

"Sioku, your Pokeballs are on the coffee table in here. Don't forget to take them with you," said Kara from in the living room.

"I'm coming to get them right now," I responded while rushing toward the coffee table.

Trooper and Umbreon were having a friendly wrestling match on the floor, and I couldn't help but watch.

They nipped at each other playfully while rolling around.

I opened up all three of my Pokeballs and commanded. "Starly, Shinx, Piplup, return."

My Pokemon immediately let themselves get pulled inside their Pokeballs.

I gave Trooper a quick hug and ruffled his fur.

Trooper licked my cheek in return.

"Good bye Mother, I'm about to go to Jubilife City now. I'll see you after the contest," I said with a smile.

"I wish you the best of luck Sioku. I'll be here when you come home," Kara replied.

Trooper and Umbreon walked beside me as I headed toward the front door.

I patted their heads before exiting the house.

A light breeze brushed against my face as I stepped outside.

The weather outside was sunny and beautiful.

There weren't any dark clouds in sight.

The small town contained four houses.

Without further hesitation, I jogged up the path that led to Route 201.

I picked up my pace and ran through the tall grass passed Lake Varity.

I arrived in Sangem Town shortly afterward.

The town contained a research lab, a Pokemon center, a Pokemart, and two houses.

There was a beach at the southern end.

After walking through Sangem Town, I immediately took the north exit to Route 202.

The grassy path led straight to Jubilife City.

I noticed that Jubilife City was much bigger than Sangem Town as soon as I entered.

There were various buildings such as houses, a trainer school, a Pokemon center, a mart, a Tv station, and a huge Poketch company.

I saw the light from an electronic device shine on me from across the street.

I ignored the strange light and decided not to let my curiosity get the better of me.

Not wanting to worry about it, I quietly walked away in the opposite direction.

~Near The Pokemon Center: No POV~

A male scientist wearing a white lab coat stood next to his teenage daughter in a corner behind the Pokemon center to stay hidden.

"Mira, I have just located the little girl that I am after. She has just entered this city," he said triumphantly.

"Really? That's great news Father! But... when did you first see her? Also, how do you know that she is here in the Sinoh Region?" the teen replied with a mix of joy and confusion.

"I knew there was something special about this one when she and her mother came to Undela Town for a vacation. This discovery was made while you were having a gym battle in Opelucid City. My assistant Aldith spotted the girl while she was exploring the beach on Route 113. Aldith captured a video of the child healing an injured water Pokemon using magic energy. Before we could slip away, Aldith took a picture of the little girl. Aldith and I then tracked her specific location on our computer. We also obtained some valuable information while analyzing her data," the scientist explained.

The girl now known as Mira smirked up at her dad.

"Father, you are a genius! I want to help you catch her," she said with an evil grin.

The scientist chuckled at that in agreement.

"Oh Mira, you'll definitely be able to help me grab that girl. I would like you to enter the contest and defeat her. Then I'll pop out of hiding and strike while she's distracted," he replied with malice.

The two exchanged a confident smile before making their way toward the arena.

"I'll meet up with you after the contest," said Mira to her dad.

"All right, I'll join you after your victory. Then we can make our move," the scientist replied before he walked away.

Mira watched her father as he took his spot on the bleachers.

She then hurried over to the registration area.

~Sioku's POV~

Right as I walked further into the city, I spotted a huge contest arena to my left.

Hundreds of people had already gathered in the bleachers.

I hurried over to the reception area and checked my Pokemon in.

Before I could make my way to the stage, a teenage girl with wavy black hair and red eyes blocked my path.

Her outfit consisted of black tennis shoes, white ankle socks, black plain sweat pants, a grey long-sleeved shirt, and a grey hoody.

This girl had an unpleasant aura around her.

Shivers began to crawl up my spine, but I roughly shook them away.

I stared at the girl wearing a confused expression.

"Excuse me mis, my name is Sioku. Are you competing in this contest too?" I greeted in a friendly voice.

Instead of answering my question, the teen stood still and grinned menacingly at me.

"What's so funny?" I asked with a look of annoyance.

The older girl smirked as she responded wickedly. "Sioku... you look familiar. My name is Mira Colress. Yes, I am a competitor."

The sound of her voice caused me to tremble in fear.

"Okay... Mira... I wish you good luck. I need me to get going now," I said shyly.

"Whatever Sioku, just try not to lose. I want to knock you down in the final round," Mira replied before she marched away.

I took a deep breath and walked over to the stage.

There were four other competitors standing next to me.

Much to my surprise, I didn't see Mira in the group.

At the same time, I was happy to be away from her.

A woman named Marian stood in front of the podium wearing a delighted expression.

"Good morning everyone, welcome to the Jubilife City Pokemon contest!" she cheered.

The audience gave her a round of applause.

"This contest will have three rounds. Those competitors who earn high scores in the preliminary round will move on. The winner will receive a beautiful ribbon," Marian explained.

The audience cheered once again.

"Now it's time to present our three judges," she added.

Each judge said a few words as soon as she called their nname.

In the midst of the introductions, Mira came running toward the stage.

She joined us and kept to herself.

"Let the contest begin!" shouted Marian.

The audience roared with excitement in response.

Marian pressed a button on the computer beside her.

A list of names was shuffled on the screen.

"The first contestant to perform is... Sioku!" she called out.

The crowd cheered as I made my way to the battle field.

I smiled and waved to them.

"You may start your performance," said Marian.

I confidently held up a Pokeball.

"Piplup, it's your time to shine!" I said proudly.

The water type penguin Pokemon Piplup emerged from its Pokeball and stood in front of me.

"Start by using bubble," I commanded.

Piplup released a stream of bubbles from its mouth.

"Pop those bubbles by using pound," I added.

Piplup hopped around the field while popping bubbles with its beak.

"It's time to wrap up our performance. Use water gun to clean this place up," I said proudly.

Piplup circled around the field while gently spraying water from its mouth.

The wet grass sparkled in the sunlight.

"That was a nice performance," complemented Marian.

I received a round of applause as Piplup and I walked back to the stage.

All three judges gave my performance a high score.

I opened up Piplup's Pokeball and said happily. "You did a great job Piplup, thanks for working hard. Take a nice long rest now."

Piplup let itself get pulled inside the ball.

Marian pointed to her computer screen.

"Our nex contestant to perform is... Mira!" she called out.

The audience cheered in response.

Mira quietly slipped away from the group and made her way to the field.

She proudly held up a Pokeball.

"Stunky, it's your turn!" the teen shouted.

The poison type skunk Pokemon Stunky popped out of its Pokeball and stood in front of Mira.

"Let's begin by using toxic spikes," she commanded.

Stunky covered the field with poisonous spikes.

"Now scatter those spikes with your slash attack," she added.

Stunky used its claws to scatter the spikes everywhere.

"Hide yourself by using smog," Mira ordered.

Stunky covered its body with a layer of thick smog.

The skunk was completely invisible.

"Now pop out and use sludge bomb," Mira said.

Stunky rose from the smog and dropped a huge blob of sludge onto the field.

Mira bowed as the crowds cheered for her.

She received a high score from the judges as well.

"Let's go Stunky," Mira urged.

Stunky followed behind Mira as they ran back to the stage.

Marian pointed to her computer screen.

"The next coordinator to perform is... Zoey!" she exclaimed.

A girl with short orange-red hair confidently made her way to the field.

She sent out a water type slug Pokemon called Shellos.

I decided to watch Zoey's performance instead of worrying about Mira.

Her Pokemon's moves were beautiful to watch.

Zoey received a high score from the judges.

I continued to watch the last three performances with interest and curiosity.

A girl with long navy blue hair named Dawn and her Piplup performed right after Zoey.

Marian pressed a button on her computer as soon as the last coordinator had finished.

"This concludes the first round. Four contestants will move onto the first set of Pokemon battles," she said.

She then adjusted the list on her screen and shuffled it.

Zoey, Dawn, Mira, and I were on the list.

I breathed a sigh of relief knowing that I was still in the contest.

Marian pointed to her screen again and said. These four contestants will battle it out in the next round to determine who will compete in the finals. Good luck to all of you."

The audience cheered wildly in response.

"Our first two coordinators to have a battle are... Sioku and Dawn!" Marian called out.

The audience cheered as they watched Dawn and me walk to each end of the arena.

I confidently held up my second Pokeball and called out. "Starly, take the stage!"

The normal and flying type bird Pokemon Starly emerged from its Pokeball and flew into the air.

Dawn also held up a Pokeball.

"Okay Buneary, spotlight!" she said proudly.

The normal type rabit Pokemon Buneary popped out of its Pokeball and hopped onto the field.

"You ladies have five minutes on the clock. Battle... begin!" said Marian.

"Starly, use peck," I commanded.

Starly flew toward Buneary and repeatedly pecked its back.

Dawn's points began to drop.

"Buneary, use ice beam," Dawn countered.

Buneary launched a beam of ice at Starly.

The ice covered Starly's body.

My points also started to drop.

"Starly! Try to shake off the ice," I said with panic in my voice.

Starly flapped its wings which caused the ice to break and fall on the ground.

"Great job Starly, now use wing attack," I added with a smile.

Starly flew toward Buneary ready to attack.

"Buneary, use bounce to get away," instructed Dawn.

Buneary quickly bounced across the field.

"Go after it Starly," I commanded.

Starly followed Buneary and cornered it.

Both Pokemon took damage as their attacks collided with one another.

"Buneary, use dizzy punch," said Dawn.

Buneary repeatedly struck Starly with its front paws.

"Starly, fight back with peck," I countered.

Starly pecked Buneary with its beak.

"Buneary, use ice beam again," Dawn commanded.

Buneary launched another beam of ice at Starly.

"Starly, use quick attack from above," I ordered.

Starly circled above Buneary's head before landing a direct attack.

"Now use wing attack," I added.

Starly jabbed Buneary in the side with its wing.

Buneary crashed to the ground with a thud.

"Oh no... Buneary! Can you still fight?" Dawn hollered sadly.

Buneary slowly rose to its feet.

"That's great Buneary," Dawn praised.

"Use dizzy punch," she added.

Buneary repeatedly punched Starly with its front paws.

Starly, ascend and then use wing attack one more time," I said confidently.

Starly rose high into the air before swooping down and slamming its wing down on Buneary.

Buneary crashed to the ground with a hard thud.

"Buneary... no!" Dawn cried.

A buzzer went off as soon as Dawn's points dropped all the way down to zero.

"Buneary is unable to battle. the first coordinator to move on is... Sioku!" cheered Marian.

The audience roared with excitement in response.

Dawn returned Buneary to its Pokeball and said. "You worked hard out there Buneary. Take a good rest."

She then walked away from the arena.

I returned Starly to its Pokeball and said. "Nice work Starly, thank you for your effort. You deserve a long rest."

I then hurried over to the stage where Mira and Zoey were waiting.

"Our next two coordinators to battle are... Mira and Zoey!" announced Marian.

Both girls made their way to each end of the arena.

Zoey held up her second Pokeball and called out. "Glameow, it's your turn!"

The normal type cat Pokemon Glameow emerged from its Pokeball and stood in front of Zoey.

"Dustox, come on out!" shouted Mira as she threw her second Pokeball.

The bug and poison type Pokemon Dustox popped out of its Pokeball and flew into the air.

"You ladies have five minutes on the clock. Battle... begin!" said Marian.

"Dustox, use toxic," commanded Mira.

Dustox released toxic fumes into the air which inflicted the poison effect on Glameow.

"Glameow, fight back with shock wave," Zoey countered.

Glameow unleashed a wave of electricity at Dustox.

The bug Pokemon was shocked violently.

"Dustox, use silver wind," Mira ordered.

Dustox blew the electricity away with a powerful gust of wind.

"Glameow, use shadow claw," instructed Zoey.

Glameow jumped high in the air using its hind legs and slashed at Dustox.

"Dustox, use cross poison," said Mira.

Dustox quickly descended before slashing Glameow with its poisonous claws.

The cat Pokemon's body weakened further due to the poison effect.

"Glameow, use shock wave while Dustox is near you," Zoey commanded.

Glameow zapped Dustox with another wave of electricity.

"Dustox, use air slash and end this battle!" hollered Mira.

Dustox repeatedly slashed Glameow with its claws.

Glameow crashed to the ground with a thud.

The remainder of Glameow's energy was drained by Dustox' poison infliction.

A buzzer went off as soon as Zoey's points dropped all the way down to zero.

"Glameow is unable to battle. Our second coordinator to move on is... Mira!" cheered Marian.

Mira waved to the spectators as they cheered for her.

She then hurried back to the stage with Dustox floating after her.

Zoey returned Glameow to its Pokeball and said. "Thank you Glameow, you were wonderful out there. Take a good rest."

She then walked over to the bleachers.

I frowned as I watched Mira walk toward me.

Mira stopped in front of me with a proud grin on her face.

"I don't know if you noticed, but I just won my battle. I have a chance to beat you in the finals," she boasted.

I glared at the teen and replied coldly. "That's great Mira, but I don't care about what you say to me. You don't intimidate me at all. We'll settle this in the final round."

Mira nodded her head in agreement.

"It is now time for the final round of this contest to begin. Our last two coordinators to battle are... Sioku and Mira!" Marian announced.

The audience cheered wildly in response.

Mira and I made our way to each end of the arena.

"You're going down Sioku," Mira said with a glare.

"We'll see who goes down," I shot back.

I held my third Pokeball high in the air and said proudly. "Okay Shinx, I choose you!"

The electric type dog Pokemon Shinx emerged from its Pokeball and stood on the floor.

Its tail sparked wildly with determination.

Mira also held up a Pokeball and said. "Zoobat, come on out!"

The poison and flying type bat Pokemon flew into the air as soon as it popped out of its Pokeball.

"You ladies have five minutes on the clock. Battle... begin!" shouted Marian.

"Shinx, jump in the air and use spark," I commanded.

My Pokemon used its hind legs to propel itself high in the air.

Shinx then launched a ball of electricity at Zoobat.

"Dodge it by using gust," Mira countered.

Zoobat repeatedly flapped its wings which created a gust of wind.

The ball of electricity instantly dissipated.

I frowned in dismay at the sight.

"Awe, you look scared Sioku. Are you afraid to lose?" Mira tease.

"Shut up and make your move," I answered roughly.

"I'll do that with pleasure," she added.

"Zoobat, use wing attack," Mira ordered while pointing at her Pokemon.

Zoobat started to fly toward Shinx with fighting intent.

"Shinx, use spark again as soon as Zoobat comes close to you," I instructed.

Right as Zoobat was about to strike, Shinx fired another ball of electricity at it.

Both of their attacks collided with one another.

Each Pokemon took battle damage.

Mira and I lost some points.

"Zoobat, use air cutter," Mira commanded.

Zoobat slowly rose into the air before it quickly descended toward the ground in Shinx' direction.

"Fight back with tackle," I countered.

Shinx charged toward Zoobat as soon as it was low enough for him to attack.

Right as Shinx was about to strike, Zoobat slashed at him with its sharpened claws.

Shinx stumbled backward in pain.

My points decreased even further.

"Shinx, use thunder wave," I commanded.

My Pokemon unleashed a wave of electricity in Zoobat's face.

"Blow it away with gust," Mira countered.

The electricity dissipated once again as soon as Zoobat created another gust of wind.

"Now use air cutter one more time," Mira instructed.

Zoobat slowly rose into the air a second time.

"Shinx, wait until Zoobat comes down by you and then use spark," I commanded.

Shinx waited patiently for Zoobat to descend to his level.

Just as Zoobat slashed at my Pokemon a second time, Shinx shot a ball of electricity in the bat Pokemon's face.

Both of our Pokemon took battle damage which resulted in point deduction.

"Use wing attack," Mira instructed.

"Shinx, fight back with quic attack," I countered.

The two Pokemon charged at each other with fighting intent.

Zoobat jabbed its wing into Shinx' neck while my Pokemon smacked the bat with his paw.

"Let's finish this battle by using poison sting," Mira instructed confidently.

"Oh no... this can't be good," I thought fearfully.

Zoobat repeatedly stung Shinx with poisonous spores.

The poison weakened Shinx to the point of exhaustion.

Shinx fell to the ground with a hard thud.

My eyes widened with horror as I stared at my injured Pokemon.

"Shinx! No!" I cried in defeat.

I then returned Shinx to its Pokeball and said. "I'm so sorry Shinx, I'll get you some medical help very soon."

Marian smiled down at the audience and called out. "Shinx is unable to battle! The winner of this contest is... Mira!"

Mira smiled innocently as she received the ribbon from one of the judges.

The crowd cheered wildly in response.

I dejectedly walked away from the arena with my head bowed.
