I met Edward again after two weeks when I went alone to watch 'Thor' in a theatre. I was supposed to go with Jacob, but he was on a business trip and couldn't come back today.

Jacob Black and I had been dating for four months now. He was amazing! He was smart, handsome, good looking, hot, basically a complete package!

"Hello there." Edward said as he saw me.

I assumed it meant that he was alone. Because apparently he didn't like to acknowledge my presence whenever he was with someone!

"Hey..." I smiled.

"Which movie?" He asked.

"Thor." I said.

"Thor? 8:15 show?" he asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"Came with friends?" he asked and looked around.

"No, I'm all alone." I said. "I was supposed to come with Jacob, but he couldn't make it."

"Jacob? Your guy?" he asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"So you're telling me that your boyfriend couldn't make it and you decided to come alone for a superhero movie. Impressive." he chuckled.

"What is so impressive about it?" I raised my eyebrow.

"I mean usually women don't like superhero movies," he said.

"You're such a misogynist!" I shook my head.

"No." he laughed, "I mean yeah, it does sound misogynistic, but it's just that the women I've known don't like these movies. For example, Alice can't even differentiate between DC and Marvel characters, so I always assume that women don't like this stuff."

"It is misogynistic." I said.

"Alright, sorry!" he laughed. "But I'm not joking. See, I'm also all alone here. I was supposed to come with my date, but she said she had to take care of her mother who got sick today. I'm sure she's lying. She just didn't want to watch this!"

I wondered if his date was the one from the elevator or someone else, but I didn't ask because that was none of my fucking business!

"Do you want to join me then?" he asked, "I mean, we both are alone, so we can watch it together if you think it's fine."

"Yeah sure," I shrugged my shoulders.

Well, this wouldn't be the first time I'd be watching a movie with him. We had watched one movie together, with Alice of course!

"I'm still wondering why I agreed to do this?" Edward said to Alice, "I mean, I'm pretty sure this doesn't fall under big brother duties."

Alice and I were supposed to go for a YA romantic movie with her Mom, but she had a last minute meeting that she couldn't cancel and my Mom also had other plans, so she had asked Edward to go with us as we didn't want to miss this show at any cost today!

"It was pure horror!" he said after the movie was over, "All these giggling girls, including you both! I mean, what was that? I feel for all the poor guys in the theater who had to watch this because of girls in their lives! What the hell was that movie?"

"Oh please!" Alice said, "I caught you smiling at some scenes. You were also enjoying it. Don't try to act too cool!"

"No... No, I wasn't." he said as if he got caught, "Now let's go. We're getting late."

That was hilarious.

"Why are you smiling?" he asked.

Was I smiling?

"Ummm... No." I said, "I just remembered that one time you came for a movie with Alice and me."

"Oh I remember that." he said. "It was pure horror!"

"Come on... Accept it! You enjoyed it!" I chuckled.

"No, I didn't," he said stubbornly.

"Sure, if you say so." I laughed.

We kept discussing the movie, comics and other upcoming movie related topics for some time after the movie was over.

"So that wasn't just a fluke, eh?" he chuckled, "You really know this stuff."

"You're really misogynist." I shook my head.

"No, I'm just... impressed." he laughed.

A week later, I came across him again in Las Vegas during one more business conference. We didn't get a chance to talk during the conference, but we met in the evening when I found him playing blackjack in the hotel casino.

I couldn't believe how frequently we were running into each other. It's like I was meeting him more than I met Alice nowadays.

He waved at me as he saw me. Again, I assumed he was alone!

"So, are you on a winning or a losing streak?" I smiled as I went there.

"I'm losing badly," he chuckled, "Do you want to try one game?"

"Sure." I said, and I ended up winning that.

"And here strikes the lady luck!" he smiled.

"Yeah!" I smiled broadly.

We played a few more rounds and then went to the bar to grab some drinks.

"So, you know I was just thinking," he said after some time, "You mentioned that you were thinking about switching jobs, and that made me wonder if you'd like to be interested in joining my company."

"Oh!" I said.

"You know, we can discuss the details if you're interested," he said.

I wasn't expecting such an offer. It didn't seem to be a bad idea on paper, but I needed to think about it. His company was on rise, and he had the vision. I guess I should give it a thought.

"Ummm... Let me think about it," I said.

"Sure, take your time." he smiled.
