Marcia was a sweet young girl. She was polite, a little shy and excelled at all her classes in school. She was basically the opposite of her father Marvin. Marvin was of course a villain but with the burden of being a single parent. That was until he met Daffy, his co-star at Warner Bros. While on screen Daffy and Marvin were fierce rivals, they were friends off screen. They immediately hit it off with each other when Daffy helped Marvin get over his stage fright. Eventually, Marvin gathered the courage to ask Daffy out on a date and Daffy agreed. That one date turned into 5 and their relationship was a year old when Daffy popped the question on the lot after filming on New Legacy ended. The two were now engaged with their wedding set for the summer.

Marcia adored her new step dad. Daffy also happened to be her teacher so he would make her the teacher's pet and would spoil Marcia despite Marvin's protest. Daffy would make her laugh with his antics and would also play Duck Dodgers with her, where he was the titular character and Marcia was the space princess he had to rescue. She also loved how much love she was giving her dad too. Sometimes she would catch her parents kissing and cuddling on the couch. The three of them would sometimes have movie nights where they would watch TV on the couch and cuddle next to each other until they fell asleep on the couch. Marcia would fall asleep on either of her parents' chest and all three would be at peace until the morning.

One day, it was a half day which meant that Daffy and Marcia had come home early. Marvin usually stayed at home but today he had left to get groceries for the week, which meant the two of them were alone.

First things first, Daffy and Marcia sat at the kitchen table. Daffy was setting up his lessons for next week while Marcia did her homework about Anvils.

"Daffy," Marcia asked. "Were the first Anvils branded by ACME?"

"Of course they were. Wile E tells me that all the time" Daffy said. Daffy's way of teaching blended with his way of parenting: He wasn't gonna be strict, nor was he gonna be too soft. He was gonna guide his students (or daughter in this case) a push in the right direction and spoiled them with love and support.

Marcia wrote down what Daffy said, wiping her face a little. Daffy noticed this.

"Are you nervous about your exams next week?" Daffy asks.

"I just want to pass the test," Marcia said. "So that you two will me proud of me"

Daffy's heart sank a little. Daffy would remember going without food or getting his privileges taken away because he got bad grades on his test. Daffy's parents sucked, and he vowed to never be like them.

"Marcia…" Daffy says. He gives Marcia a kiss on the top of her head. "Your dad and I will always love you, no matter what grade you get"

"But I wanna be my father's best successor," Marcia said. "I don't wanna be a failure!"

Daffy pulls Marcia into a hug.

"You'll never be a failure to us" Daffy says. "You're the most wonderful thing to happen to us and nothing you do will ever diminish that"

Marcia sniffled a little as she hugged back. Daffy pulls back after a while.

"Why don't we take a break?" Daffy said. "We can put on a movie while we wait for your dad to get home"

"I would like that," Marcia said, wiping her eyes. Daffy picks her up and they walk to the living room.

Daffy has a flashback; When Marcia was 8 months old, Daffy used to lay on the couch and watch TV while Marcia rested on his chest. After a few episodes of Shovelware's Brain Game, Daffy would pass out with Marcia on his chest, making sure to hold her close and never letting go.

Now it's the present day and the same thing was happening. Marcia rested on Daffy's chest as they watched Shovelware's Brain Game: The Movie starring Chris Pratt as the Dancing Banana.

"When will you and Daddy get married?" Marcia asks.

"In the summer" Daffy said. "We're gonna have a beautiful wedding and you're gonna be our flower girl"

"What's that?" Marcia asked.

"You're gonna throw flower petals as your dad walks down the aisle" Daffy says. "And we picked out the prettiest dress for you."

"Please don't hurt my daddy," Marcia said. Daffy chuckled a little.

"That will never happen," Daffy said. "Hurting your dad is like hurting you. I'll never hurt my princess"

He boops her where her nose should be and they both giggle.

"I love you Daffy," Marcia said.

"I love you too sweetheart" Daffy says.

As they continue to watch the movie, Daffy suddenly hears the sound of relaxed breathing. He looks down and sees that Marcia had fallen asleep on his chest. Daffy has a smile on his face.

Daffy yawns and feels his eyelids grow heavy.

"I guess a little nap is fine," Daffy said. He closes his eyes and begins to fall asleep with his stepdaughter close to him.

Marvin opens the front door and walks in.

"I'm home," Marvin said. He leaves his things at the door. He walks past the couch and hears snoring. He looks over and sees Daffy and Marcia asleep.

"Awww, isn't that lovely?" Marvin says. He loves the view but sees that the two of them have taken up all the space on the couch.

Marvin walks over and slightly pokes Daffy. Daffy shuffles a little before waking up. He looks over at Marvin, bleary eyed.

"Marvin?" Daffy says. "I didn't know you were getting home early"

"No, I got here on time" Marvin said. "You two were asleep when I got here"

"Oh no! Were we really asleep for that long?" Daffy says. He yawns. "Marcia and I just took a little break and watched a movie. She's been so worried about her finals"

"Oh poor thing" Marvin said. "I'm glad you're looking out for her, dear"

Marcia shuffles a little in her sleep as she wakes up. She yawns.

"Daddy?" Marcia says.

"Did you enjoy your nap, my little princess?" Marvin says. Marcia jumps onto Marvin's arms. Marvin hugs her, chuckling.

"Why don't we help you finish your homework, and then I'll make dinner, and then we can relax for the rest of the day" Marvin says.

Marvin places Marcia on the kitchen chair. Daffy gets up and sits down next to her.

"Anvils eh?" Marvin says. "I know my history about those"

An hour goes by and Marvin makes Martian collard greens. Daffy could hardly stomach it while Marcia happily eats her meal.

"I was thinking of having a small wedding," Marvin said. "It could just be us and our friends in a small reception"

"Do large venues scare you?" Daffy asks.

"My social anxiety can't handle big services. Even watching the Royal wedding gives me the chills" Marvin says.

"Hey, anything to save money," Daffy says. "I think you'll like where I'm taking you for our honeymoon"

Marvin looks over as Marcia, who was struggling to hold her head up.

"We should take Marcia to bed," Marvin said. "But I'm glad that you were understanding of my decisions"

Marvin picks Marcia up and takes her upstairs. Daffy follows. Marvin opens the door to her bedroom.

Marcia yawns as Marvin tucked her into bed. He takes off her cone hat and kisses her head.

"We love you very much Marcia," Marvin says. "And we will help you crush those finals"

"Thanks Daddy," Marcia says.

"See? I told you there was nothing to worry about" Daffy says. He also gives her a kiss on her head.

"Goodnight Daddy and Daffy" Marcia says.

"Goodnight Marcia," Daffy says.

"Sleep well" Marvin says. The two turn off the lights and leave Marcia's room, closing the door behind them.

"Now I'm worried," Daffy said. "Am I being a good parent?"

"I think you're doing a good job," Marvin said.

"I'm just worried that I'm not being a good enough father for Marcia," Daffy said. Marvin puts a hand on his shoulder.

"I think you're doing a great job," Marvin said. "Now, why don't we go to bed? Tomorrow we can go to the beach. The weather is gonna be nice"

"That sounds fun," Daffy said with a smile. The two then turn to leave the bedroom. Daffy opened the door slightly to see Marcia peacefully asleep again.

"Sweet Dreams" Daffy says before closing the door again.
