Chapter 2: Who Will Judge?
After the strange...dream she had the night before, Adora was in the bathroom, splashing water on her face. Her mind hadn't stopped thinking about the night before. Had she really been visited in her dreams by Great-Granny Mara? Who, and what, was DIO? And what did this all have to do with her spirit? She called upon her Stand and looked in the mirror as it formed behind her. She took a deep breath and let the Stand fade, before finishing up and putting her hair back in a ponytail. If she really did need to find Jotaro Kujo, today was the day to do so.
She soon made her way back to the kitchen, slinging her backpack over he shoulder. Only Micah and Glimmer were awake at the moment, and greeted her. "Morning Dad, Glim." She said, quickly grabbing some toast.
"You alright Adora? You look a bit pale." Micah asked her, his tone soft and concerned.
"Yeah I'm fine it's just… a bad dream." Adora replied. She never could lie to save her life, but this wasn't exactly Lying. Unless she had proof that what happened in her dreams was real, she was trying her best to see it as only that, a dream. "Sorry I can't stay and talk."
"If you're sure." He commented, going back to his paper. "Have a good day at school dear."
"Let me know if you run into that Jotaro guy again! He's so cool!" Glimmer said, her eyes practically sparkling.
"Sure, I will." Adora said, waving as she left her home and began her long walk to school. On the way, she passed by the street to the Kujo residence and briefly stopped to look at the large estate. She only knew the Kujos through her mother after all, so she'd never even been in the house. From what Angella had told her, the father was often working and barely around. Holly was a stay at home mother. And Jotaro…? Well…
"Shut up! You're pissing me off!" Adora nearly jumped at the roaring sound of Jotaro's voice. She looked ahead to see him, as usual, surrounded by girls who seemed to be head over heels for him. Despite his rather loud outburst, they seemed...pleased he yelled at them.
'Freaking weirdos…' She thought, moving to catch up with the group. She was starting to debate when she should talk to Jotaro about what Mara had said. Before she could, however, she noticed a sudden splash of blood from his leg and he ended up falling down the stairs. She quickly moved to try and catch him, until she noticed a spectral arm similar to her own Standshooting out from him and catching a branch, making him land safely at the bottom. 'Holy shit, he has one too!' She quickly rushed down the stair to check on him, planning for her own Stand to heal him. "Hey Kujo! You alright?"
Jotaro, as expected, brushed her off and looked at his leg wound. "I'm fine. Just tripped." He commented.
She was about to ask more but soon he was swarmed by the girls from earlier, and Adora was pushed away from him by a few. She rolled her eyes and summoned her stand, hoping to have the range to reach and heal Jotaro, when another person caught her eye. He was nearly as tall as Jotaro and dressed in an olive green school uniform, with bright red hair that had a long strand sticking out in front of his face like a drooping pompadour. 'Who the heck is that? I've never seen him around…'
"You seem to have fallen, and cut your leg." He said in an eerily calm voice, handing Jotaro a handkerchief. "Here, use my handkerchief to bind the wound. Are you alright?"
"Yeah, thanks…" Jotaro replied, doing just that. "Hold it, I haven't seen you around before. Do you go to our school?"
The man nodded, smiling. Though Adora noticed a fakeness behind his smile. "My name is Noriaki Kakyoin. I just transferred here yesterday. It's nice to meet you." He said in that same eerie voice. Adora quickly withdrew her Stand back to her body, having a bad feeling about the man. But as she did, she noticed Adora glancing directly at her. He had noticed, but was keeping silent. Adora figured it would make sense if Jotaro had seen her stand, since she had seen his earlier. She decided it would be best to continue her way to school, and hopefully find Jotaro later in the day…

Adora got to school before Jotaro, and put away her books and bag. She attended her first class, but couldn't shake the feeling something bad was about to happen. She quickly got herself excused from class, and headed out towards the Nurse's office to check on Jotaro. The fact his leg had just suddenly become injured during the previous interation had caught her attention. 'It wasn't injured from the fall, so its likely that another spirit like mine struck out at him..' she thought to herself. 'Then there's the matter of how...creepy Kakyoin was acting..' She made her way down the stairs, and turned into the hallway leading to the nurse's office. 'Not to mention, Jotaro saw my spirit...and with that glare he was giving me maybe I oughta let him no I'm not a threat-'
"My eye! My eye!" The pained shouting snapped her to attention, as the door to the Nurse burst open, and a pair of delinquents fled, one clutching a bloody eye socket. Adora ran to the door and looked inside. What she saw was the Nurse, frothing at the mouth with her eyes rolled back in her head. She was flinging around a pen wildly and advancing on Jotaro.
"What about you, Jotaro? Do you think this is a pen too?!" She shouted, lunging at Jotaro, who caught her arm and tried to wrestle her back. To the surprise of both Adora and Jotaro, the Nurse seemed to be overpowering him! Adora quickly took a step forward, intending to help wrestle the nurse off of Jotaro, when a voice rang out.
"Stay right where you are, girl, if you want to live…" She looked in the direction of the voice, and saw Kakyoin sitting on the window, holding what appeared to be a marionette by its cross-brace.
"You're the one who cut Jotaro's leg on the stairs!" Adora shouted.
"Precisely, you witnessed that did you?" Kakyoin chuckled as Jotaro continued wrestling with the nurse. "My stand has possessed that woman. You can't hurt it without harming her, Jotaro Kujo."
"You… bastard!" Adora growled through gritted teeth.
"Just who the hell do you think you are!?" Jotaro added.
"I told you. I'm Noriaki Kakyoin. The name of my Stand is Hierophant Green." He continued. Adora raised an eyebrow.
'Stand? Is that what my spirit is called?'Adora thought to herself as Kakyoin continued his monologue.
"I am human, but I serve that man…. DIO." Adora's eyes widened, recognizing the name from her dream the night before. "And therefore, I have come to kill you, JoJo."
Adora's hands slowly balled into fists. She wanted nothing more than to break Kakyoin's face for this. But she was worried she couldn't act without harming the Nurse. She glanced over to see if Jotaro was still struggling, and balked when she saw him move in and kiss the Nurse on the lips. Before she could even ask what the hell he was doing, he pulled back, his stand was gripping Kakyoin's by its teeth. Adora was shocked at how different Kakyoin's stand looked from hers or Jotaro's. It was an athletic looking humanoid being that was covered in green, vein skin covered by what appeared to be a robotic harness around its chest an arms. Its eyes resembled yellow glass lenses, and it also had what looked like a breathing mask where its mouth should have been. The lower part of its body also seemed to be unwinding itself into a long tendril, connected to the Nurse through her mouth. Jotaro wasted no time in having his stand grab Hierophant Green by its head and squeeze.
"Now that I've dragged it out, I can see it's just a sleazy stand that can possess a person.." Jotaro let the nurse collapse, Adora barely managing to catch and lower her safely to the ground. "Is this your Stand, Kakyoin? All green and striped, like some fleshy Melon."
"You're...gonna regret pulling that out, JoJo!" Kakyoin replied through gritted teeth, Adora noting the indents on his head where Jotaro's stand held Hierophant Green.
"Don't act tough." Jotaro deadpanned, also seeing the marks. "If I crush your stand's head like a melon, it'll probably crush yours as well won't it? I'm gonna hold on to you a little while, take you to the Old Man." Jotaro's eyes narrowed as he spoke. "I'm sure he'd love to speak to you, and to be honest I'm curious about DIO myself."
Adora breathed a sigh of relief as the fight seemed over. However she soon noticed the strange liquid that began pooling between Hierophant Green's hands. "Jotaro look out! He's doing something!"
"Indeed! I told you that you'd regret removing my Stand!" Kakyoin shouted. "Now feel the sting of its attack, Emerald Splash!" As he shouted, the stand fired small emeralds from between its hands like a shotgun, slamming into Jotaro's stand, causing him to cough up blood and release his opponent. "My Hierophant Green's Emerald splash seems to have done a number on your insides. Not only that, but look at the nurse. My stand has along range, but hates to be out in the open. So when you removed it, it got angry and lashed out on the Nurse. This is your fault J-"
Adora had enough of his mad ranting and called forth her own Stand. "Shut your mouth!" She yelled as he stand drew her sword, and with a single strike, severed Hierophant Green's connection to the Nurse, Causing blood to splash from Kakyoin's legs. The blow didn't seem to do enough to sever them, but he would clearly be feeling it.
"Y-you bitch!" Kakyoin yelled, preparing another attack. "Then I'll take your life as well! Emerald Splash!" The Stand again fired the attack, and Adora had her stand do its best to deflect the attack.
Her stand began to slash and strike at a rapid pace as she let out a Stand Cry. "ATATATATA!"
Despite her stand slashing furiously, several of the projectiles got through and dug into her chest, abdomen and shoulder, knocking the wind out of her, and forcing her to withdraw her stand to heal up her wounds. She shot a glare at Kakyoin. "You really are scum aren't you?"
"If you hadn't gotten involved I could have killed Jotaro Kujo with ease and left the poor nurse alone." Kakyoin claimed, looking over at Jotaro, who had begun returning to his feet. "You're still trying to stand after that blow? How sad, like a boxer who refuses to stay down after the bell."
Jotaro spit up some blood and narrowed his eyes. "I, Jotaro Kujo, have often been labeled a punk." He stated bluntly. "I tend to overdo it in fights, and hospitalize my opponent. There was this one idiot teacher who was all talk, I taught him a lesson and he never returned to school. If I'm at a restaurant and don't like the food, I leave without paying."
"Wow, you're kind of an ass…" Adora commented under her breath, which Jotaro ignored.
"But...Even I know disgusting evil when I see it!" Jotaro continued. "When you see the weak, and use them for your own gain! Or crush them beneath your boot. Like this innocent woman. That's exactly what you've done! Your stand isn't visible to the Law, or the Victim. Therefore…" Jojo gripped his hat in one hand, and pointed with two fingers on his other. "I shall judge you!"
"Evil? Wvil only refers to the one who loses." Kakyoin smugly declared, readying another attack. "Justice Refers to the victor! The method doesn't matter, only who wins, and who loses! Emerald Splash!"
Kakyoin fired off another attack, only for the attack to be shrugged off by both Adora and Jotaro's stands striking them away. "That's a load and you know it…" Adora growled.
"If the loser is the evil one… guess that makes you the evil one then!" Jotaro shouted, lunging forward. "The ones who will judge you will be…"
"OUR STANDS!" Adora shouted in unison with Jotaro. Before Kakyoin could respond, Jotaro's stand gripped Hierophant Green by the throat and began throttling it. Adora took the chance to have her stand deliver a brutal blow to Hierophant Green's stomach. Then, Jotaro's stand balled up a fist, and unleashed a flurry of punches at the speed of Machine Gun fire at Hierophant Green's face.
"ORAORAORAORAORAORAORA!"
With one final triumphant cry of "ORA!" Jotaro punched hios opponent into the roof, causing a massive shockwave of forced to shoot up the side of the School, cracking the walls and shaking the entire building. "You just caught my stand by surprise is all. Lucky for me, its not exactly weak. Now then as for the nurse…"
"I've got it." Adora interrupted, kneeling by the Nurse and having her stand hold her hands above the woman. With a soft, golden glow, the Nurse was slowly, miraculously healed. "She should be fine after a short rest."
"So, you've got a stand yourself, huh?" Jotaro asked, eying Adora suspiciously. "I've seen you around before...starts with an A?"
"Adora." She replied. "Adora Akiratsuki. My mom and you mom are friends."
"Right.." he responded, sighing in annoyance as he picked up Kakyoin. "Clearly, you're not tied to DIO if you helped me. Looks like I'll be skipping school today. And you'd better come with me."
"What? Why?"
"Because if you've got a Stand the Old Man's gonna want to speak to you." He replied, sounding frustrated. "Besides, you wanna try to explain this mess to the staff?"
Adora looked around the room and gave a long sigh. "Goddammit, you have a point… alright I'm coming."

"Oh! Jotaro is thinking of me right now!" Holly said happily to herself, looking to the sky. "I can feel it. A Bond between mother and son."
"I wasn't thinking about you…" Jotaro quickly replied, startling her. She turned and saw Jotaro carrying Kakyoin over his back, with Adora by his side.
"O-oh my, Jotaro, why aren't you at school! And what happened to that man, did you do this?" Holly asked in shock.
"It's none of your damn business. Where's the Old Man?" Jotaro replied dismissively. "It's a pain in the ass finding him in this massive place."
"Oh, your grandfather is in the Tea room, with Mister Avdol." Holly replied. Jotaro nodded and began to walk off, letting Holly finally notice Adora. "Oh, hello there. Have we met?"
"Not directly." Adora replied. "My name is Adora, I'm Angella's oldest."
"Oh! Welcome to my home then." Holly replied with an enthusiastic, cheery tone. "Are you a friend of Jotaro's?"
Adora looked at Jotaro, who had begun walking towards the tea room, and thought about it a moment. "I think so? I'd like to be."
"Oh that's good to hear." Holly replied with a smile. "My boy isn't so bad. I just wish he'd think of me once in a while-"
"Hey!" Jotaro suddenly shouted, catching both women's attention. "You don't look like yourself today. You feeling alright?"
Holly lit up more when Jotaro asked about how she felt, closing her eyes with a wide smile. She waved back at her son. "Fine, Thank you!"
Jotaro nodded and motioned for Adora to follow him. She quickly did so, wanting to meet this 'Old Man' for herself, and hopefully learn more about whats been going on. She was soon lead into the Tea room, where Jotaro laid Kakyoin down in from of Joseph Joestar and Mohammad Avdol. After brief introductions were made, Joseph examined the unconscious Kakyion and sighed, shaking his head.
"Well, this is no good. I'm afraid it's too late for him" Joseph stated bluntly. "He's not gonna make it, within the next few days he'll be dead."
"H-here, my Stand can heal people!" Adora said, quickly letting her Stand out. "Let me try-"
"It's neither of your Faults Adora." Joseph quickly said, motioning for her to settle down. "Look here. The reason this man swore loyalty to DIO and tried to kill you both...is THIS." He brushed aside Kakyion's head and Adora recoiled in disgust.
Right in the center of Kakyoin's head was a tiny little bud of writhing, twitching flesh…
Not much to say about this one. Other than the fact I hate that Adora and Jotaro's stands don't have their names yet. It made the battle somewhat annoying to write. So the main thing about Adora's stand is that she needs to be within Star Platinum range to heal someone effectively. She cannot resurrect the dead, nor can she regrow missing limbs. But she CAN reattach severed limbs.
