Several ships appear in view, carrying students and docking at the entrance of Beacon. As soon as one lands, a blonde haired boy emerges and goes over to the nearest trash can, hunching over it as he loses his lunch into one of the academy's trash cans.
Ruby and Yang walk alongside several other students, out of the ship and they head down the paved path to the front of the academy. "Wow…" Both of the sisters take in the entirety of Beacon Academy, with both of them in a state of amazement.
"Woah…..The view from Vale's got nothing on this!" Yang shouts in her amazed state, with Ruby looking around and seeing the sheer diversity of weapons carried by the students. "Hey Rubes-"
Getting so excited with seeing the other students' weapons, Ruby becomes starry-eyed, as she enters the legendary form of hers as Yang rolls her eyes: A 2D star-eyed, weapon nut chibi. "Ohmygosh, sis! That kid over there got a collapsible staff and she's got a fire sword!" She tries getting closer to the students she wanted to meet and geek out over their weapons, Yang pulls her sister by the hood, getting her back into her normal form. "Ow Yang! Ooww!"
"Easy there little sister, they're just weapons!" As Yang said that, Ruby gasps in shock at such heretical statement
"'Just weapons'?! They're an extension of ourselves Yang! They're a part of us! Oh, they're so super cool!" Ruby contines le geek out, with Yang chuckling a bit and rolls her eyes at Ruby being Ruby
"Well, why can't you swoon over your own weapon? Aren't you happy with it, Rubes?" Yang says as she sees Ruby transform Crescent Rose into its lethal scythe form.
"O-Of course I'm happy with Crescent Rose Yang! Que embarrassed expression "….I just really like seeing new ones. It's like meeting new people, but better…" Rubs proceeds to rub the tip of her left shoe into the pavement as soon as she says her piece…Which Yang playfully pushes her sister's hood down over her face, with Ruby making a surprised sound at the action
"Ruby, come on, why don't you go try and make some friends of your own?" Yang says to Ruby, as her little sister takes off her hood, almost like she's pleading.
"B-But... Why would I need friends if I have you?" Ruby proceeds to give puppy eyes to Yang, who gives a sigh as she tries to come up with a good answer to Ruby's rather shy question…
"Well Ruby…" In a flash like a flood, a group of other students surround Yang and they all dash down the road. "Oh! Actually, my friends are here, gotta go catch up with them! 'Kay, see ya, bye Ruby!" And with that, Yang jogs to keep up with her friends….Which unknown to her, it causes Ruby to spin and be dizzy from the sudden action.
Spinning and dizzy-eyed from Yang's sudden leaving, Ruby yells to her disembarking Sister. "W-Wait, where are you going Yang?! Are we supposed to go to our dorms? Where are our dorms? Do we have dorms?" Ruby simply sighs as she looks at the ground, kicking some loose pebbles "I-I don't know what I'm doing-" She suddenly falls backwards into a luggage cart as it accidentally bumps into her, sending cases flying. After rubbing her head, Ruby sees someone is standing over her….Not happy at the mess and Ruby
"What are you doing?!" The girl in white yells at poor Ruby, who gets up on her hands. "U-Uh, sorry-!" Is immediately cut off as the girl in white continues her rant at her.
"Sorry? Sorry?! Do you have any idea of the damage you could have caused, you dolt?!" She yells at Ruby, who holds a case.
"Uuhhh…" Ruby tries to give an answer to the girl in white, who storms over to Ruby and takes the case from her, causing Ruby to yell out an 'Eep!'
"Give me that case!" As she snatches the luggage from Ruby, and opens it to reveal its twinkling-sounding contents. "This…This is Dust - mined and purified from the Schnee quarry!" With Ruby struggling to come up with an answer to this yelling, girl in white.
"U-Uuuhhhh…" As she struggles to come up with an answer, this struggle ends up pissing the girl in white off even more, who gives an eye-twitch as her face starts to become red.
"What are you, brain-dead!?" Holding out a vial of red Dust and shutting the case rather hard "Dust! This is Dust! Fire, water, lightning, energy!" The girl in white angrily shouts at Ruby, as she inadvertently starts coughing
"I-I... I know…" Ruby starts coughing from the Dust pouring into her face, which the girl in white didn't seem to notice for some reason. "I-"
"Are you even listening to me, is any of this sinking in!? What do you have to say for yourself?!" Ruby, who has been receiving more and more Dust sprinkling onto her face, finally sneezes…Which erupts into a full-blown explosion of a combination of flame, snowflakes, and electricity right onto the girl in white. The canister the girl in white had been holding, flies over the courtyard and at the feet of a girl with a large bowtie, who proceeds to pick it up and notices the company logo of the Schnee Dust Company on the side as she reads from a book and looks over at the scene between Ruby and the girl in white.
Now covered in soot, though it quickly disappears, the girl in white becomes more pissed off. "Unbelievable….This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about you Dolt!" The sheer fury in her tone is obvious to everyone around. After stammering, Ruby finally shouts out an apology to the girl in white.
"I-I'm really, really sorry!" Ruby apologies in an obvious embarrassed and apologetic tone….Which the girl in white just scoffs at poor Ruby
"Ugh, you complete dolt! What are you even doing here, aren't you a little young to be attending Beacon?" More or less, pinches the bridge of her nose…This dolt in front of her, I swear to-
"Well, I-I…" Still embarrassed, Ruby ends up stammering once again…Which the girl in white once again bitch mode and pinches the bridge of her nose the second time today.
"This isn't your ordinary combat school! It's not just sparring and practice, we are here to fight monsters…So watch where you're going, you Dolt!" After the rant, Ruby has finally had enough of her shit and gets fed up
"H-Hey I said I was sorry, princess!" Ruby yells back at the girl in white, who narrows her eyes in bitchiness and is about to yell at Ruby once again….Only for someone to cough to catch both of their attention.
Entering the conversation,the girl in the bowtie speaks up. "It's heiress actually." Ruby and the girl in white look over as the girl in the bowtie approaches them, with the dust canister in her hand. "Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company…One of the largest producers of energy propellant on Remnant."The girl in white- Weiss Schnee, smiles smugly at the recognition of her.
"Finally, some recognition!" Weiss smilies, not aware that the girl in the bowtie isn't done speaking yet, with Ruby of course paying attention.
"The same company who is infamous for its controversial labor forces, questionable business partners and its very infamous partnership with the now defunct SLM company following the controversies" The girl in the bowtie stated, with Weiss now getting angry at this…This-
Ruby chuckles, which pissed Weiss off….Again "Wha- How dare- The nerve of... Ugh!" Weiss gets up in the face of the girl in the bowtie and takes the dust canister from her hand and walks off in a huff as her helpers gather the spilled luggage and follow her
"I-I promise I'll make this up to you Weiss!" Ruby yells to Weiss as she storms off and sighs."I guess I'm not the only one having a rough first day, so, what's...Next….." Ruby notices the girl in the bowtie walking off as well….Which Ruby then collapses onto the ground on her back and mutters. "Welcome to Beacon…" She sighs and remains this way with a saddened look on her until a shadow comes over her and the blonde haired boy from earlier
The blonde haired boy holds out his hand to Ruby "Hey... I'm Jaune." Ruby looks at his hand….And accepts it and Jaune helps Ruby up. "You alright?"
After taking his hand is helped up by Jaune "Y-Yeah, I'm fine….Hey, aren't you the guy that threw up on the ship?" Jaune gets embarrassed and rubs the back of his head. "Yeah, thats me"

Inside the walls of Beacon, scenic trees, arching architecture, and a winding road alongside a river, which Ruby and Jaune are walking down
"Look, all I'm saying is that motion sickness is a much more common problem than people let on!" Jaune rather dramatically throws his hands into the air, which made Ruby laugh
"Look, I'm sorry Jaune! Vomit Boy was the first thing that came to mind after that" The name made Jaune and he retorts back with a name of his own.
"Oh, yeah? What if I called you Crater Face?" The name of 'Crater Face' causes Ruby to stop and look at Jaune in shock as Jaune stops as well
"H-Hey, that explosion was an accident! I didn't do that on p-purpose!" Ruby retorts and puffs her cheeks as embarrassment kicks in
"Well, the name's Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue - ladies love it!" Both Jaune and Ruby resume walking….With unknown to Jaune, Ruby gives a deadpanned look at him and rises a brow at what Jaune said
"Jaune….Do they?" Jaune looks back at Ruby, who's obviously very skeptical of Jaune's claim.
Jaune stammers as he gets embarrassed. "T-They will….Well, I-I hope they will. My mom always says that... I- Never mind…" Yeah…Jaune is embarrassed as he rubs the back of his neck. Ruby giggles before a short awkward fall on them.
"S-So, I got this thing!" Ruby pulls out Crescent Rose and stabs the blade into the ground. Jaune stares at Crescent Rose in sheer awe
"Whoa! Is that a scythe?" Jaune looks at Crescent Rose in its scythe form, in complete awe. Ruby coughs to get his attention.
"I-It's, also a customizable high-impact sniper rifle!" Ruby might've geeked a bit, as it's pretty obvious wants to go into details of Crescent Rose. Unfortunately for her, Jaune gets confused
"A-A wha...?" Eyup, Jaune is confused…So Ruby cocks Crescent Rose as a visual aid

"Oh! I, uh…" Jaune unsheathes a blade that he had at his side "I-I got this sword!" Ruby has her star eyes again as she looks at the blade.
"Ooooohh!" Ruby continues to state at the blade. "That's a cool looking sword!"
"Yeah, and I've got a shield, too!" He gets his scabbard, raises his arm and expands the metal into his defense, while Ruby with stars still in her eyes, walks over and touches the shield.
As soon as she touches the shield, she looks at Jaune. "So Jaune, what do they do?"
Fumbles with the shield as it retracts off his arm…Which it expands, and retracts again before putting it back in place and finally shrinking it down for good…With him placing it on his belt. "The shield gets smaller, so when I get tired of carrying it, I-I can just... put it away…"
"But... wouldn't it weigh the same regardless?" Ruby looks at the retracted shield quizzingly, with Jaune rubbing the back of his head before settling on a look of dejection.
"Y-Yeah, it does…" Ruby giggles at Jaune's response, gives Jaune a simile"
Giggling "W-Well….I'm kinda dork when it comes to weapons, sooo... I-I guess I did go a little overboard when designing it." Jaune gives a double take as his jaw drops to this knowledge.
"Wait - you made that?!"Jaune is in shock that Ruby, this younger girl, made a badass weapon of Crescent Rose.
"Of course! All students at Signal forge their own weapons! Didn't….You make yours?" Ruby looks at Jaune quizzingly, Jaune once again, rubs the back of his head.
"I-It's a hand-me-down, my great-great-grandfather used it to fight in the war long ago" Ruby simply nods at his answer.
"Well, sounds more like a family heirloom to me!" Ruby laughs…Not in a mean or mocking way mind you. "Well, I like it, Jaune! Not many people have an appreciation for the classics these days." Ruby's mind goes back to yesterday about SLM and its weapons….Not classical in the same manner as Jaune's sword- But you know what she means.
Sheaths his sword. "Y-Yeah, the classics…" Him and Ruby resume walking again down the path.
"So Jaune, why'd you help me out back there in the courtyard?" Ruby looks at Jaune…Who simply shrugs and gives a simile.
"Eh, why not? My mom always says, 'Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet.'" Ruby smilies at the answer….Her mom would've probably said the same thing…Ruby shakes her head
Ruby looks around. Hmm…Hey, where are we going, Jaune?" Jaune tries to come up with an answer….Then nothing
"Oh….I don't know! I was following you. Y-You think there might be a directory? Maybe a food court? Some sort of recognizable landmark? Is, uh... Is that a 'no or….?"
"Jaune….That's a no" Ruby laughs at her and Jaune's rather comical predicament…A potential friendship might be blooming…Don't you think?

"So….this is Ruby Rose I reckon?" The monk-like man asks Ozpin, who nods. "Her eyes….Yes, I can see why you asked her to join your academy. She holds great power….A power she doesn't know or understand yet…"
"Exactly Rimanah….Her abilities can be useful against…..Her" Ozpin mutters the last word…Which Rimanah picks up on
"Her? Who is this great foe you to refuse to name Ozpin?" Rimanah asks Ozpin…Who waves off his question and sits down at his desk.
"It's….Something confidential as James would say" Unknown to Ozpin….Rimanah gives a slight scowl at having his question being waved off like that….Seems like Ozpin is hiding something…
"Very well…..But about the Phoenix? Is she stabilized?" With the right eyesight, one can see Ozpin flinch very slightly at the mention of the 'Phoenix'...Both him and Ozpin know what the former is referring to.
"Yes, she is stabilized….But she is still weakened since that night…If it weren't for Qrow and one of the members of your Culters…" Ozpin frowns at the hypothetical scenario…
"She wouldn't be here….And that woman and her assistants would completely have her maiden powers, if Nyalpet is to be believed" Rimanah states, with Ozpin nodding at Rimanah's response.

"Who was robbing that store?" Rimanah asks Ozpin, who simply sighs
"The criminal, Roman Torchwick" Ozpin simply gives a neutral expression as soon as he finishes the sentence, with Rimanah giving a slight frown
"Roman Torchwick… The same criminal responsible for all of the robberies of Dust Shops for a while now….Whatever he's up to, it's not good if he needs that much Dust" Ozpin nods in agreement, knowing that Roman is both smart and cunning. Like what Rimanah said, whatever he's planning, it's not good. "Maybe he and the maiden thieves are connected?"
Ozpin hums and shakes his head. "I don't believe so. I doubt he would have the proper connections to achieve a partnership" Rimanah thinks it over and gives a slight nod…In his mind however, he believes Roman and the maiden thieves are connected somehow….But, Maybe he's just paranoid. "After orientation tomorrow, We should discuss more of Ruby Rose with the others" Ozpin nods in agreement and Rimanah promptly leaves…
Ozpin just sighs….Rimanah is acting a bit strange….Whatever it is, Ozpin hopes Ruby succeeds in her orientation. For her abilities, Ozpin can use them to fight….The Grimm Queen….But first, he needs some sleep…For tomorrow and this year's semester will be interesting to say the least.
