Disclaimer: I do not own Leverage, Arrow or anything else you may recognize

This is an idea I got while rewatching the Arrow Season 1 finale. While Arrowverse turned to trash later, I really do love and enjoy Arrow Seasons 1, 2 and 5, and Flash Seasons 1 and 2. If only the rest of the Arrowverse was as good as these Seasons.

Legends of Tomorrow had an interesting line-up and fun premise but they wasted all of it and killed Leonard, the most interesting character, in Season 1, and ruined Sara until she was a completely different character who happened to have the name 'Sara' and was still played by the same actress, that's it. Not to mention later Seasons were headache inducing. And frankly, the line-ups from the first two Seasons were the only good ones, the characters that came after that, outside of Nora and Zari, I took a look at them, and couldn't care less about them. Of course, there's Constantine but even he couldn't save this nonsense.

Supergirl, let's not even get started on how riddled with issues that one was.

I finished 'Leverage' and 'Leverage: Redemption' recently and they are really great shows, plus I love the cons, though I think the original show had better ones. I think both teams are great, though I do have a preference for the original one. And- I love Eliot Spencer!

For Arrow, its obvious this is during the Season 1 finale, and for Leverage, this is during Season 2 when Sophie took some time-off from the team but before Tara joined them in her place. I love Sophie but couldn't find any uses for her skills here, and when I involve people from the 'Leverage' crew into any story, it's the characters whose skillset I find relevant to the situation, and in this case, really can't think of anything Sophie can do, so its Nate, Eliot, Parker and Hardison.

Thanks a lot to Brainstorm Sorcerer for ideas on the fight scenes and some interactions. And thank you to Stand with Ward and Queen for a suggestion.

And here we go.

Starling City

The crew, right now consisting of only Nate, Eliot, Parker and Hardison, had set up shop in Starling City, to take on a Kirk Adamson who had scammed various low-end employees of his out of their rightfully earned salaries before kicking them out and erasing their records from his company.

One such employee had reached out to them, and so here they were, setting up shop, while the TV played in the background.

"Ya know", Parker said. "We could set up permanent shop in this city."

"What do you mean?" Nate asked.

"There are so many scumbags in this city. Really, only Gotham City has more scumbags than here", Parker had to say. "I think we'll get cases every day if we're here."

"Not a bad idea", Hardison commented. "Just as long as The Hood doesn't get the scumbags before us. He does have a bit more direct approach."

"We'll discuss this later, let's start planning on what to do with Kirk first", Nate said. "I will pose as another businessman with a proposal, then-"

At that moment, they heard the reporter on the TV say- "We are interrupting our regular broadcast to show you this, right from the Queen Mansion, live."

And then a blonde, middle-aged but still good-looking woman appeared on the screen, reporters swarming around her everywhere, from all channels.

"My name is Moira Dearden Queen, I am the acting CEO of Queen Consolidated. And God forgive me, I have failed this city", the woman called Moira said as Nate and Eliot shared a look. "For the past 5 years, under the threat of my life and the lives of my family, I have been complicit in an undertaking with one horrible purpose- to destroy the Glades and everyone in it"

They saw Moira look to a side before saying. "I realize now my family's safety will mean nothing if I let this dreadful act occur." Her face hardened as she continued. "But you need to know that the architect of this nightmare is Malcolm Merlyn. Yes, and I have proof that he has killed dozens in pursuit of this madness. Adam Hunt. Frank Chen. And my husband- Robert."

Her face firm, she continued. "Please, if you reside in the Glades, you need to get out now. Your life and the lives of your children depend on it. Please."

She stepped down while reporters were clamoring around her. Nate looked at the rest of his team. "We're going to drop what we're doing for now. This is more important."

Parker started. "But how will we get the-"

"We will do that after we're done here", Nate assured Parker. "But people's lives are at stake. We must do something about this."

"Nate's right", Eliot agreed with him. "But first, we need to find out how Malcolm is going to level the Glades."

"Maybe the police would have some idea", Hardison noted, Nate taking out his phone.

"We'll have to call one of them then", Nate said, while Hardison did his usual tech magic, the image of Frank Pike with some info, including his phone number, now popping up.

Nate dialed the number, while Hardison typed some more, Nate's phone beeping, to change the number that would display when he called up.

"You'll be Captain Hawkins of the relief forces", Hardison said, Nate nodding, before pressing the 'call' button.

Half a minute later, Pike picked up. "Hello?"

"Hello, this is Captain Hawkins of the relief forces", Nate started talking. "We saw the news about Malcolm planning to level the Glades. While we usually come in due to outside attacks, this is new territory, so we will be there for evacuation and providing first-aid. But, do you know how this levelling is going to happen?"

"First of, thank you for coming. As for how this will happen, one of my detectives has this strange notion that Malcolm is going to level the Glades with some kind of earthquake device. But after seeing the conference, I think he might be right."

"Thank you for your help", Nate said, before cutting the call, turning to Hardison. "Malcolm has some kind of earthquake device. Can you track it?"

"I have something here, it can track seismic activity", Hardison said, typing some more. "Here….its run. This device would be giving out a seismic pulse, that I am sure of. Let's see….."

Within minutes, the device was beeping. "Oh boy…..there are two of them!"

"What?" Nate asked in surprise.

"This just got a whole lot worse", Parker muttered.

"One is in a subway near Pabst street, the other is near Merlyn Clinic", Hardison managed to get both locations, while he typed further. "And seems like I'm not the only one looking into these devices."

"All right, Hardison, you carry on", Nate turned to Eliot. "With Malcolm exposed, he'd be planning to escape. So-"

"Make sure that does not happen", Eliot said with a nod. "Sure." With that, he walked out of the base, ready to face Merlyn.

"Aha, seems like I've found you", Hardison said with a smirk and clap. "You're good, really good. But I'm better." He typed a message. 'Hey, I see you're tracking the earthquake device.'

A minute later, he got a reply in turn- 'Yeah. Are you doing the same?'

'Yeah.'

'Where are you coming from?'

Hardison noted this person was trying to get onto his device, but he ran a program, shutting them down, then typed- 'Shouldn't you be focusing on the impending doomsday?'

A while later, he got a question in response- 'Who are you?'

Hardison chuckled before typing- 'You guys seem to have a serious case of the bad guys. Lucky for you, The Doctor is in the house!'

A minute later, Hardison got another message- 'We have sent someone to deactivate the device.'

Hardison typed back- 'That's good, but what about the other device?'

He got a reply, and he knew the other person was horrified due to it being in all caps- 'WHAT OTHER DEVICE?!'

Hardison looked at his tracker, and typed there, but nothing happened as he sighed. "This device can't be deactivated remotely. This other hacker says they're working on one device."

"Parker, go to the other one", Nate told her. "Stay on comms, Hardison will guide you."

"Yep, gonna go now", Parker put comms in her ear and walked out, while Hardison typed to the other hacker- 'You handle the device you're handling. We've sent someone to deactivate the second one.'

Merlyn Global

Eliot ran into the building, getting onto the higher floor. To his surprise, there was no security to stop him. Looking around, he saw 3 dead cops, before seeing an opened wall, and beyond it was a dark-skinned man on the ground, groaning, a knife stuck to his thigh, with another knife on the ground, blood on it and on his shoulder. It had struck his shoulder but he'd pulled it out.

Eliot ran to him, kneeling near him. "Hey man, you okay?"

"I'll be fine!" The man groaned.

"Where's Merlyn?" Eliot inquired.

"There!" The man pointed to the opened access door to the roof, and Eliot looked there, before looking at a weapons cabinet.

Running to it, Eliot grabbed a sword, then rushed forth onto the roof, seeing the Hood battling a man in a mask. He knew the Hood wasn't Merlyn obviously, he had come to stop him, since going after rich scumbags was his thing.

So the man in the mask was Merlyn. And he was a skilled fighter as well. That's why he didn't need security. The Hood noticed Eliot first, and using the opportunity, Malcolm kicked him down, before lifting him up by the collar. "You can never win."

Eliot let out a loud roar, and started running towards Malcolm. Malcolm saw him, then turning to the Hood, pushed him back and spinning, kicked his chest, sending him down, and at the same time, Eliot leapt and spun, kicking Merlyn in the chest, making him fall back and down as well.

Merlyn got up with a grunt, looking at Eliot, while the Hood got up as well.

"So, not just a businessman but trained by the League too, huh?" Eliot said, noting the look of surprise in Merlyn's eyes. "It's a very distinctive kind of dress up."

Parker was near the clinic as Hardison asked. "Found it?"

"No, I'm pretty sure such a device would be…" Parker's eyes fell on the covered Markov device in front of her. "Noticeable."

Walking ahead, she pulled the cover off. "Found it."

"Do you see a timer?"

Parker looked at the countdown clock. "Only seven minutes."

She could hear Hardison sighing. "All right, let's begin this."

Eliot and the Hood walked towards Merlyn, who had his own sword out. Eliot clashed first thrice, before the Hood joined, trying to strike with his bow as Merlyn backed to avoid and they clashed, the Hood getting to Merlyn's other side while Eliot clashed with Merlyn again. They were in a deadlock before Merlyn spun and elbowed Eliot, sending him back.

The Hood clashed against Merlyn twice before being pushed off, then Eliot came in again, clashing, while the Hood tried to strike but couldn't as Eliot was there and could be hit too. Then, Merlyn punched Eliot away and the Hood struck, but Merlyn spun him around and grabbed him in a chokehold.

The Hood struggled, before elbowing Malcolm twice, managing to loosen his grip as he spun around, Malcolm trying to stop him, making him lose his bow while the Hood head-butted Malcolm back but was kicked away at the same time.

Eliot and Merlyn charged each other, clashing their swords, and as Merlyn tried to spin and slice, Eliot knelt down, blocking it. Merlyn managed to pull back and struck as Eliot blocked but was kicked back.

He stood up while Merlyn flourished his sword and struck but Eliot stopped his fist with his wrist and they clashed a few more times, Eliot grabbing Merlyn's throat, before Merlyn freed himself and kicked Eliot's knee, sending him kneeling. But Eliot still blocked Merlyn's sword with his own and pushed him back. He then elbowed Malcolm's knee, making him kneel, and blocking a blow, kicked his chest, making him fly and fall on his back, the sword dropping from his hand and clattering a few feet away.

Groaning, Malcolm got back up, while Eliot smirked and threw his sword away, with the Hood running next to him, all of them ready for another round.

"There are 3 wires- you need a green one, a yellow, and a blue", Hardison said to Parker. "Twist the green and blue together, and then pull the yellow out."

"No cutting?" Parker asked in surprise.

"There is anti-tamper safeguard on it. Cutting any wire will reset the countdown to two minutes."

"Right, got it, come on!" Parker muttered, twisting the yellow and blue wires together, and then quickly pulled the yellow one out.

The machine sputtered and died. Parker sat back, relieved, letting out a short laugh.

"We did it!"

Eliot and the Hood faced Merlyn, the Hood throwing his bow down as well, while Merlyn took off his mask, throwing it away, and then the fight began. Both of them kicked Merlyn but he blocked, then tried to smack Eliot and kick the Hood, though both blocked as well.

Then Eliot tried to kick again as Merlyn blocked but the Hood kicked him back slightly. Eliot tried to punch but Merlyn blocked and punched him back before the Hood kicked his chest. Merlyn smacked his face, only for Eliot to kick his chest. Eliot then tried to kick his face but Merlyn blocked and with a kick, sent Eliot down.

The Hood charged with a kick as Merlyn dodged and then blocked some blows, while trying to strike back, but the Hood blocked his blows as well. Eventually, they entered a deadlock, glaring at each other. Rearing their fists back, both punched each other on the chest, staggering back by a few feet.

Taking the opportunity, Eliot tried to spin kick Merlyn but he ducked to avoid, and then Eliot tried to kick but Merlyn blocked again before punching Eliot's stomach and then his face before kneeing his chest. As Merlyn tried to strike again, Eliot leaned his face backwards and pushing Merlyn, kicked him back, just as the Hood came in, trying to kick alongside Eliot, though Merlyn blocked both their strikes.

He ducked to avoid a kick from the Hood but Eliot kicked his knee, sending him down, and then he tried to kick again but Merlyn grasped his foot. The Hood tried to kick but Merlyn spun Eliot, making the Hood kick him accidentally, while Merlyn leapt and tried to kick the Hood, though he blocked.

Merlyn spun to kick again but the Hood backed and leaned down to avoid, before both trying to strike each other, the Hood grabbing Merlyn's hands, until Merlyn smacked his stomach, pushing him back. The Hood smacked Merlyn's face, when Eliot tried to kick, though he blocked, and ducked to avoid a spin kick. As they tried to strike each other, Eliot punched Merlyn's face, before Merlyn spun and kicked him back.

Eliot avoided a few more blows before being punched back, while the Hood tried to fight Merlyn, blocking some blows and trying to punch, but Merlyn grasped his arm and pushed him off, before blocking a kick from Eliot.

As Eliot tried to punch, Merlyn grasped his arm and threw him down, then rushed at the Hood, leaping and kicking him down.

Both Eliot and the Hood groaned, before standing up, Merlyn glaring at both of them.

He charged the Hood first, leaping and kicking him back, then leapt and kicked his chest, sending him back again, before spinning and kicking Eliot's face, sending him down. The Hood blocked a blow and tried to strike as Merlyn avoided and grabbed his hand, though the Hood freed himself, but was spin kicked back.

Eliot came in with a kick which was blocked before he tried to sweep Merlyn's feet from underneath him, though Merlyn jumped to avoid. Merlyn blocked more blows and kicked Eliot back, then avoided a spin kick from the Hood, then spun and elbowed his face before kicking Eliot, and then kicking his knee.

The Hood roared and punched but he blocked and punched back, before avoiding Eliot's blow and punching him twice. Then he kicked both in quick succession and kicked Eliot away, before kicking the Hood down, and then leaping, kicked Eliot's chest, sending him down.

As the Hood tried to rise, Merlyn lifted him by the back of the neck, and punched his face twice, sending him down, and kicked him down, before continuing to kick him.

Eliot groaned. He had thought he had met his match in Quinn and then Mikel (who was now his girlfriend, ironically). But Merlyn was a different kind of beast. Even with the Hood, it was a struggle to beat him. But then again, League training played a part here.

"Don't struggle, its over", Malcolm continued to kick the Hood. "There was never any doubt in the outcome. Don't worry. Your mother and your sister will be joining you in death."

Eliot stood up, and charged Merlyn, making him stop and kick him instead, but Eliot blocked his next few blows before decking his face. Merlyn ducked to avoid the next strike, and decked Eliot twice, only to be kicked back.

Merlyn angrily charged with a kick but Eliot side-stepped and decked his chest, then kicked his foot, before unleashing a flurry of punches on him that Merlyn struggled to block. As Merlyn grabbed Eliot's hand, Eliot headbutted him, freeing his hand, and then decked Merlyn, before blocking his blows and decking him twice again. He blocked some blows and ducked to avoid another, before Merlyn punched his face.

In return, Eliot punched back harder, making him stagger back, feeling his jaw slightly moved from place. Grunting, he turned to see the Hood stand up.

'Survive.'

Eliot charged Merlyn first with a spin kick but Merlyn grasped his foot and threw him down, then punched him a few times before turning to get a leaping kick on the chest from the Hood, making him stagger back.

He blocked a kick, then punched Merlyn back twice, and punched his chest. Merlyn grabbed his head and tried to knee his face, but the Hood blocked, and struck Merlyn's knee, making him gasp before he spun and struck his face, sending Merlyn back.

Merlyn tried to kick but the Hood blocked and elbowed his thigh, then his chest, and punched his chest, before spinning and tossing him towards Eliot who tried to kick but Merlyn grabbed him by the waist, only for Eliot to grab his collar and hurl him to the ground, making him roll away by a few feet.

Merlyn was stunned at how strong and skilled Eliot seemed to be. Taking the opportunity, the Hood leapt and spun, kicking Merlyn on the chest, making him gasp.

With that, Eliot grabbed one hand of Merlyn and the Hood grabbed the other.

"Thank you for teaching me what I am fighting for", the Hood snarled before taking out an arrow. "But my father taught me how."

Merlyn tried to struggle when the Hood heard Felicity speak into his ear. "Oliver, Lance did it."

"Its over", the Hood said to Merlyn.

Merlyn grunted. "If I've learned anything as a successful businessman, it's redundancy."

The Hood snarled and stabbed Malcolm's throat with his arrow, making him cough out blood, before slicing across his neck, spilling blood as Merlyn breathed his last and died, the Hood throwing the bloodied arrow away.

The dark-skinned man staggered out at that moment as the Hood asked into the comms. "The other device?"

Felicity had told him of it, and now she said. "Its taken care of."

Spent, he sighed in relief, lying down next to Eliot, before turning to look at him.

"What the hell are you doing here, Eliot?"

"Doing what I've always done, saving your ass."

"I had it handled."

"Yeah, where have I heard that before?"

"The earthquake, it didn't go off. Your doing?"

"Let's just say some friends and I were passing by." Oliver stared hard at him. "That's the truth."

Eliot heaved himself to his feet and helped Oliver stand.

"You got better." Eliot praised his stare and his skills.

"I had some help."

"What happened to you after Hong Kong?"

"Too much."

"I know that feeling."

"Don't work for Waller anymore?" Oliver inquired.

"Nah, you know I liked it as much as you did. After I stopped the outbreak of the Alpha and Omega virus, I was done. I've dirt on Waller, she tries anything funny with me, she is going down first", Eliot revealed to him.

"Well that's a good thing", Oliver sighed, looking out at the city that had now been saved. "Thank you, Eliot. You and your team both."

"Just take care of yourself", Eliot said, walking away. "We've some work to do here."

While Oliver did not trust people much, he remembered Eliot did not like working with Amanda. He had been the liberator of Croatia too, and by stopping the outbreak of the Alpha and Omega Virus, he'd saved China as well, and now he'd helped save Starling City too.

"Stay in touch", Oliver requested. "And I'd like to know more about this League as well."

"Sure thing", Eliot assured Oliver, before walking past the dark-skinned man called Diggle, and then walked off.

Oliver, in spite of his usual attitude, let a smile cross his face. Malcolm Merlyn was dead, the Undertaking had been stopped, and the city had been saved.

And we're done.

Eliot is great, but Merlyn has League training, and in Season 1 he was a beast, so even with Eliot and Oliver together, it'd be a bit of a struggle.

So Eliot also worked for ARGUS here, albeit reluctantly. He basically had the Rick Flag type of role here, so he replaces Flag. And he stopped the outbreak of the Alpha and Omega Virus, so Akio is still alive while Tatsu and Maseo are together.

While I'm neutral to Felicity now after all is said and done (even if I liked her a lot in Seasons 1 and 2, more in 1 though), let's be honest, Hardison is a much better hacker, and can find both devices, and know how to deactivate them better.

Interesting to write an Arrow fic too after all this time.

Thanks a lot to Brainstorm Sorcerer and Stand with Ward and Queen again.

Hope all enjoyed and see you all next time with some other update.
