I don't the Kung Fu Panda franchise
A/N: Thank you for checking out this little ficlet. Any OOCness please let me know.
Prideful
That had been the one personality that led to his downfall.
He didn't want to accept the prophecy that had been set for him. He was willing to destroy it and continue his plans for conquest. When he learned of the fireworks that his family had invented, it was something truly beautiful. The way that the colors exploded in the sky and the happiness that their subjects felt when they saw them during a celebration was a breathtaking moment.
To him, something so beautiful could also be turned into something devastating. The gunpowder from these fireworks could give his family the upper-hand when used as a weaponry.
He knew he had his chance to stop all of this. The moment that he heard of the prophecy, he knew that he should have stopped with his obsession of using the fireworks as a weapon of destruction. How would that make the royal family look? What would happen if they were to face an invasion? Shen had hoped that his parents would see the idea that he carrying out. He wanted to do what was best for himself, after he inherited the throne. He wasn't going to let some black and white warrior stop him from accomplishing his goal, let alone his family and subjects.
However, his parents didn't see it that way.
Banishment
He had been shocked when his parents had banished him from his place of birth. He was filled with rage that they were doing this to their own flesh and blood. He wasn't going to let them get away with it. He swore that he was going to return for revenge. It had been years when he finally returned that he saw that his parents had perished. He didn't know how to feel about that. He resented the fact that they hated him. What else could have been the reason that they pushed him away? He didn't want to believe that it was on how he wanted to use the fireworks.
He got what he wanted. He got Gongmen City and took over it...only to be finally stopped by the black and white warrior and The Five. He wasn't going to give up. He was going to break the prophecy and destroy this black and white warrior once and for all. Words were thrown at him, for him to give up this conquest. If he did that, the crimes that he had committed were unforgivable and would result in persecution or execution. He wasn't willing to be defeated in the hands of these so called warriors and face his crimes.
He believed in what he wanted to accomplish and he was willing to allow himself to die for it.
A/N: I'm afraid it isn't that great of a character study, he's a very complex character but it was worth a shot. Thank you for your reviews!
