I took the sack of clothes out from underneath my shirt.

I walked into Boston Memorial Hospital.

I walked up to the reception desk.

"And you are?"

"Erin Tierney."

"And what seems to be the problem?"

"My left arm snapped."

"Okay. Just wait in the waiting room for a few minutes." She instructed.

I nodded my head.

"Do you have anybody else with you?"

"No. But I'm going to call my Sister."

"Okay."

I walked over to one of the waiting room chairs.

I sat down.

I got my phone out.

I was going to text her.

"At Boston Memorial Hospital. Can you be here as soon as possible?"

I sent the message.

Elena

My phone dinged with a text.

It was from Erin.

"That's unusual. She usually calls me. Or Kevin calls me." I thought in my head.

I opened our text message conversations.

"At Boston Memorial Hospital. Can you be here as soon as possible?"

"What happened?"

Erin

I got a response.

"What happened?"

"Kevin and I got in an argument and he accidentally shoved me into a table in the Living Room. I ended up snapping my left arm."

"That doesn't just seem like an argument."

"I'll explain it to you later."

"You're just lucky I'm in Massachusetts right now."

"Alright. And FYI, you run into Kevin, you don't know where I am."

"Why?"

"And that's all part of the explanation that I'm going to give you later."

"I'm holding you to that."

"Okay."

Elena

"Kevin and I got in an argument and he accidentally shoved me into a table in the Living Room. I ended up snapping my left arm."

"That doesn't just seem like an argument."

"I'll explain it to you later."

"You're just lucky I'm in Massachusetts right now."

"Alright. And FYI, you run into Kevin, you don't know where I am."

"Why?"

"And that's all part of the explanation that I'm going to give you later."

"I'm holding you to that."

"Okay."

I put my phone away.

I was just running down one of the streets in Boston.

I was running to Boston Memorial Hospital.

I bumped into somebody.

"Watch it, man."

Kevin

I can't believe Erin stabbed me in the side with a knife.

That hurt like a mother fucker.

I got up off the floor.

I got changed.

I was going to the Bus Station to catch Erin.

She isn't getting away from me.

"Well, we're even. I slashed her left arm purposely when I ripped the knife out of her hand. Wait. I slashed her left arm. Damn it. I slashed the wrong arm. Now, I feel like an ass." I thought in my head.

I called my Detective friend, Dino.

We're going to the Bus Station to catch Erin.

I knew it'd be faster if I ran.

I was running down one of the streets in Boston.

A girl put her phone away.

She was running somewhere.

The girl has long brown hair and blue eyes.

She bumped into me.

"Watch it, man."

I looked at the girl's face.

It was Erin's twin Sister, Elena.

They have slight different facial features.

"You know where Erin is?"

"Oh, it's you. And no. I don't know where Erin is. Last I taslked to her was the last time I talked to you. Have a nice night."

She walked away.

Erin

"Watch it, man." It was Elena.

"You know where Erin is?" It was Kevin.

"Oh, it's you. And no. I don't know where Erin is. Last I talked to her was the last time I talked to you. Have a nice night."

Elena

"You know where Erin is?" It was Kevin.

"Oh, it's you. And no. I don't know where Erin is. Last I talked to her was the last time I talked to you. Have a nice night."

You heard chuckling.

I was close to Boston Memorial Hospital, so I knew it was Erin.

I shook my head.

"Only she would do that. Dumb ass."

Five minutes later

I ran into Boston Memorial.

"What the hell are they doing? Why the hell are you still sitting out here?" I questioned.

"I don't know."

"That's bullshit. It's probably been like 15 minutes for God's sake."

Kevin

I continued running to the Bus Station.

I heard chuckling from Boston Memorial Hospital.

Elena shook her head.

"Only she would do that. Dumb ass."

Five minutes later

She ran into Boston Memorial Hospital.

"What the hell are they doing? WHy the hell are you still sitting out here?" Elena questioned.

"I don't know."

"That's bullshit. It's probably been like 15 minutes for God's sake."

Erin

"Only she would do that. Dumb ass."

Five minutes later

Elena ran into the hospital.

"What the hell are they doing? Why the hell are you still sitting out here?" She questioned.

"I don't know."

"That's bullshit. It's probably been like 15 minutes for God's sake."

"Erin?" A nurse called.

We stood up.

"Alright. You two can follow me."

We were following her.

"I'm guessing she's your Sister that you told the other nurse you would call?"

"Yes. I certainly hope she's not my mother. Or we'd have a problem with how young she is."

Kevin

"Alright. You two can follow me."

You heard three sets of footsteps.

"I'm guessing she's your Sister that you told the other nurse you would call?"

"Yes. I certainly hope she's not my mother. Or we'd have a problem with how young she is."

Erin

The Doctor I had before was already waiting in an examination room for me.

"Let's get a CAT Scan to see how much damage was done to your arm and see if anything else happened to you."

"Okay."

Kevin

"Let's get a CAT Scan to see how much damage was done to your arm and see if anything else happened to you."

"Okay."

Something fishy is going on in that hospital. That's foe sure.

Erin

They rolled me away on the hospital bed and to the scanner room.

Kevin

I had mine and Erin's phones linked together.

All messages and everything on her phone transferred to my phone.

I had ran to the Bus Station quickly to meet up with Dino.

I pulled my phone out.

I saw text messages between Erin and Elena on my Lock Screen.

I opened it to the messages, so I could actually read them.

"At Boston Memorial Hospital. Can you be here as soon as possible?"

"What happened?"

"Kevin and I got in an argument and he accidentally shoved me into a table in the Living Room. I ended up snapping my left arm."

"That doesn't just seem like an argument."

"Alright. And FYI, you run into Kevin, you don't know where I am."

"Why?"

"And that's all part of the exompanation that I'm going to give you later."

"I'm holding you to that."

"Okay."

"My Wife is not as smart as she thinks she is. She really isn't."

"What are you talking about?"

"All of the stuff on her phone is transferred to my phone."

"Oh, damn."

"Yeah."

"You got her Sister lying to you too, man. You got a complicated Wife."

"Yeah. Exactly you do. She's been through things you can't even possibly imagine. So has Elena. Neither of them tell anybody. The only people who know are me, our parents, and obviously them. Nobody else knows and neither of them have the intentions of telling their husbands. And I can guarantee you, she most definitely ain't telling you. Elena is the one that's likely to tell you. Erin took the blows for her. And kept doing it. Just remember that. Think about what I'm getting at. Taking the blows for her."

It was Erin and Elena's triple brother, Evan.

He was the oldest while she was the youngest.

Erin

"Elena!"

"Was going to do it without your input!"

Elena

"My Wife is not as smart as she thinks she is. She really isn't."

"Oh, damn."

"Yeah."

"Elena!"

"Was going to do it without your input!"

Kevin

"Elena!"

"Was going to do it without your input!"

"Get ready to hear Elena yelling at me over the phone."

"Proves you wrong!"

Evan's phone rang.

"Here it comes."

He answered.

"Well, hello there, my darling little Sister."

I shook my head at Evan.

"Erin will personally rip your damn head off if you tell him! I'd love to take part in that, but he's her husband! Mine's not here for you to possibly tell!"

"Yeah. I'm sure Erin's going to rip my head off!"

He pulled his phone away from his ear.

"The both of them have gone a little nuts since escaping. And a little paranoid."

I was looking at Evan, trying to get the answer out of him.

"Doesn't work on me. Erin does it all the time. I don't crack with her. I most definitely ain't cracking with you."

"That'd be wise not to!" Elena yelled through the phone.

He hung up on her.

Erin

Kevin

I headed to Boston Memorial Hospital with Evan and Dino.

I walked in with them.

"Erin is back in the scanner. After what you did to her."

"You can come back, Mr. Tierney, Mrs. Ramirez, and Mr. Michaels."

We followed a nurse back to a room.

"It's a clean snap."

"Mm-hmm."

"But what happened?"

"What?"

"The amount of times you've fallen in the past two months is incredible. Either you're incredibly clumsy or something else is going on."

"I'm just incredibly clumsy."

"Is that how the fingerprints got around your neck?"

I walked in.

"I'm reporting this."

"Well, a Cop is already here."

"To anybody except him and his friends."

"Oooh. I'm so scared of your threat."

The Doctor walked out.

Erin sighed.

"I'm not sorry. You were gonna kill me."

"I was not gonna kill you."

"Could've fooled me."

"I'm sorry I scared you."

She looked up at me.

I wrapped Erin in my arms.

She laid against me.

I stroked Erin's back.

"I'm sorry."

She returned.

"A report has been submitted to the 15th Precinct."

I don't have any friends or favors to call in at the 15th Precinct.

"You're not above the law, Detective Tierney."

Evan and Elena looked at each other.

They laughed.

"So, you got lucky. It doesn't have to be amputated. This time. I'll send the nurse in to cast it."

Dr. Nathans walked out.

15 minutes later

Detective Leslie Baker walked in.

"Detective Tierney."

"Detective Baker."

"Mrs. Tierney, pleasure as always."

"Detective."

"I'm gonna have to ask you to step out of the room, Detective Tierney."

I stood with Evan and Elena outside.

Erin

"So, what happened tonight?"

"I tripped over one of my heels and face-planted into the Coffee table."

"How did the fingerprints get around your neck?"

"My Sister and me got in a physical fight over whose Marriage is better earlier in the day. When she came by to hang out."

"I don't think Elena Williams is strong enough to leave those kinds of fingerprints."

"Mm."

"So, what really happened?"

"I told you what happened."

"Okay."

Detective Baker walked out.

Kevin

"Your Wife insists that your Sister-in-law and her got in a physical fight."

"Mm-hmm."

"Do you have any knowledge of this physical fight?"

"I didn't notice anything off with her when I got home."

"Okay."

Leslie stared at me.

A nurse walked in the room.

"What color you want?"

"Don't matter."

"You know, you shouldn't raise a kid in an abusive environment."

She sighed.

Elena was surprised.

"You're lucky that didn't cause you to go into early labor. Maby next time, you won't get so lucky."

"Why don't you just leave?"

She left.

The nurse put a pink cast on Erin's left arm.

"Leave it on for six months."

"Six months?!"

"Yeah."

She walked out of her room.

"I was planning on telling you tonight. You saw how tonight panned out."

"How far along are you?"

"Five months. I found out the other day."

"I promise. It won't happen again."

"If it does, I'm taking them and I'm leaving you."

"Them?"

"It's triplets."

"Wow."

"They need a Dad, Kevin. They don't need an alcoholic."

"I know."

"It's gotta stop."

"It will."

We hugged.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." She apologized.

I stroked Erin's short bleach blonde hair.

"It's okay."

I leaned my forehead against her forehead.

"I'm not gonna let you raise them alone. I promise."

Jim

Detective Leslie Baker from the 15th Precinct walked in.

I smiled at her.

"Can I talk to you, Lieutenant Robinson?"

"Yeah. Of course."

I let Leslie in my office.

"What's up?"

"Erin Tierney was in the hospital tonight."

"Oh, my God."

"Apparently, she's extremely clumsy."

"You think Kevin is..."

"Just keep your ears open."

"Of course."

"Because she claims the fingerprints were from a physical altercation with her Sister."

"Maybe they are."

"Elena Williams is not stronger than her."

"I'll listen. And inform you of anything I find out."

"Thank you."

"Maybe get a search warrant for the house?"

"Yeah. I've already got one."

"Okay."

Leslie walked out of the Precinct.
