To all my readers: I chose to rewrite Alola because I wanted to do something different. Jordan still has Meeko, that wont change as her Pokemon partner. The different thing is Meeko will evolve into a Lucario. It will help with the Z-Crystal when I rewrite those chapters. I'm doing the franchise, from Kanto to Alola. The only region that I havent decided on is the Galar region, that's the only region up in the air right now. Before anyone asks, I'm currently at an in-between place for writing the movies right now and that includes the live action movie, Detective Pikachu.
I have already picked out my OC's Pokemon for each region already and if you don't like the way I'm writing each season, then you don't have to read it. I'm not going to force anyone of you to read my stories. Also, if you don't see any episodes that aired in Japan, it means that they didn't air that episode in the US.
Straight up, I get it, no one likes negative reviews, but I prefer positive reviews over the negative ones any day of the week. I also want everyone to know that I don't like being rushed. "Pika! Pika!" said Pikachu, who was in the lead.
Jordan: Welcome to our version of the Pokémon Pancake race.
"Go, Pikachu, Go!" said Ash.
"Pika-Pik!" said Jordan.
"Cario!" said Meeko.
"Steenee, go for the gold." said Mallow.
"Faster, Popplio!" said Lana.
"Go, go, go!" said Sophocles.
"Pika! Pika!" shouted Pikachu as he jumps down.
"Wow, you're doing great!" said Ash.
"It's a virtual dead heat!" said Rotom.
"Yeah!" said Sophocles as Pikachu ran, then jumps into his trainer's arms.
"First place!" said Ash.
"Number one mouse." said Jordan.
"Steenee, you were great." said Mallow.
"You, too, Popplio." said Lana.
"Oh, well. I thought we'd finally win today. Next time!" said Sophocles.
"Talking speed, Pikachu does have a slight advantage." said Kiawe.
"You're both amazing, Pikachu." said Ash.
"Lucario!" said Meeko as she and Jordan praise Pikachu.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Well done." said Kukui, walking into the classroom. "You've got playing nice down to a science."
"Uh, professor." said Ash.
"Alola."
"Alola." said Kukui. "Now, ready? I want everyone in this class to trade your Pokémon."
The kids stared at the professor for a moment before they screamed. "Pika? Cario?" asked Pikachu and Meeko.
"Trade our Pokémon?" asked Mallow. "What do you mean by that?"
"You don't mean Popplio's going away, do you?" asked Lana.
"You're letting Meeko live with someone else forever?" asked Jordan, her bottom lip started to wobble a bit.
"No. Not that." said Kukui. "That's not what I meant. I meant you trade your Pokémon with each other temporarily. I want you all to get to know different Pokémon other than your own. And so, what better way to do that than take care of each other's Pokémon?"
"Oh, Professor, I understand now." said Mallow.
"It sounds kind of fun." said Ash.
"You know, I've always wanted to gather the data of Pokémon who aren't Electric types." said Sophocles.
"I'm a little worried." said Lana. "I'll miss my Popplio."
"Pop." said Popplio.
"I've never been away from Meeko for more than a day. And that doesn't include Team Rocket." said Jordan.
"Rio, Lucario." said Meeko.
"True, but this could be a lot of fun." said Lillie. "For me, being able to touch a Pokémon other than Snowy would be great too."
"Well, let's give it a go." said Kiawe.
"Have you already decided whose Pokémon partner we're switching with?" asked Mallow.
"These will help us decide. Each pair of sticks has the same coloring on the end." said Kukui, holding up a jar with sticks inside. "You'll switch partners with whoever has the same color you do. And since we have an odd number of students, one of you will have the option of taking Meeko with you."
"All right!" said Ash, choosing first.
"Glad I picked you, Pikachu and Meeko." said Lillie.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Lucar." said Meeko.
"Snowy?" Lillie said to her Pokémon. "We're going to be separated for a while, so be good and listen to what Ash and Jordan have to say."
"Vul. Vulpix." Snowy whined sadly.
"We'll have fun. Promise!" said Ash.
"It's true." said Jordan, getting down to Snowy's level. "I'll even make sure that the other Pokémon behave while they're around you."
"Ash, Jordan and I will take good care of Snowy!" said Rotom. "Snowy's habits and food data are inputted into my memory."
"Just what I'd expect." said Lillie.
"Pikachu! Lucario!" said Pikachu and Meeko as they walked over to Lillie.
"Take care of our restaurant's poster Pokémon." Mallow said to Sophocles as she held Togedemaru. "I know you will."
"Steenee!" said Steenee.
"Togedemaru, I hope you're going to be okay without me." said Sophocles.
"Demaru!" said Togedemaru.
"Huh?"
"Huh?" said Lana, looking up at Turtonator.
"You have little sisters." said Kiawe. "I hope that Turtonator doesn't scare them. It's just that Turtonator is on the big side."
"They'll be fine….at least I think." said Lana.
"Pop?" asked Popplio.
"Turt." replied Turtonator.
"Your exchange will be for the weekend." said Kukui. "And then you'll switch your partners back this coming week. I look forward to seeing how you get along with your new partners. Ready to go?"
"Yeah!"
"Komala." said Komala, yawning as it rings the school bell.
"See you later!" shouted Kiawe as he and Popplio rode on Charizard.
"All right! Please take good care of Popplio, okay?" asked Lana.
"I definitely will. Take care of Turtonator!" said Kiawe. "Popplio? Hang on real tight."
"Po! Po!" said Popplio as Charizard takes off towards Akala Island.
"Oh, Popplio. See you soon." said Lana.
"All set, Togedemaru?" Mallow asked.
"Togede!" squealed Togedemaru as Mallow takes off towards her restaurant.
"Please take good care of Togedemaru!" Sophocles called after Mallow.
"I sure will!" Mallow called over her shoulder. "Do the same for Steenee!"
"Now, shall we go, Pikachu? Meeko?" Lillie asked them.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Cario!" said Meeko as they both hopped into the car.
"Pikachu!" said Pikachu, sitting on the seat.
"Lucario!" said Meeko, sitting next to Pikachu.
"Hey, buddy? Don't zap Lillie in your sleep." Ash told Pikachu.
"Pikachu!"
"Lillie…" said Jordan, tapping her on the arm.
"Hmm?"
"If you see Meeko sitting somewhere with her eyes closed and her legs crossed, don't worry about her." Jordan started to explain, looking at Meeko. "Meeko likes to meditate to help clean her aura from time to time."
"Lucario!"
"Bye, Ash, Jordan, Snowy. I'll see you both soon." said Lillie.
"Have a great weekend!" said Ash.
"I'll keep an eye on Ash, so he won't mess up." whispered Jordan.
"Pikachu!" said Pikachu as he and Meeko stick their heads out before letting Lillie get in the car.
"Huh?" said Lillie, looking into the car.
"Pi? Pika." said Pikachu, realizing what was going on and backed up a couple of inches to give her more space. "Pika, Pika."
"Cario." said Meeko, back up further in the car.
"Right. Then here I come." said Lillie, getting in the car.
"See you soon." said Ash and Jordan as the car takes off.
"I miss him and Meeko already." said Jordan, holding her brother's hand.
"Vul." Snowy sadly said.
"We're here." Ash called out as brother and sister walked inside. "Snowy, this is where Jordan and I live."
"Vulpix." said Snowy, looking around.
"Come on out, everyone!" said Ash, releasing Rockruff and Litten from their Pokéballs, then unzips his backpack to reveal a sleeping Rowlet. "You come on out, too!"
"Let's go, you guys." said Jordan, releasing her Pokémon as well. Rowlet falls forward and lands next to Snowy, scaring the Alolan fox.
"Vul!" squealed Snowy, jumping to the side then realized it was just Rowlet. "Vul?"
"Okay, guys! Tell Snowy hello!" said Ash.
"Rockruff!" barked Rockruff. Pulling up to her house, Hobbes was waiting for Lillie.
"Welcome home." said Hobbes, opening the door. "It's very good to see you, Miss Lillie."
"Thank you, Hobbes. We have a couple of guests." said Lillie.
"Pika! Lucar!" said Pikachu and Meeko, from inside the car.
"We do?" he asked, looking inside.
"Pikachu!" said Pikachu, eating one of the snacks.
"I see." said Hobbes, watching Pikachu and Meeko eat their snacks. "Snowy is staying with Ash and Jordan, eh?"
"Right and I know Snowy's in good hands, but still, it's just…." said Lillie, going closer to Pikachu, who then looks up.
"Pika?" he asked as Lillie squeals. She then tries to touch Pikachu who then quickly grabs another cake. "I already proved I'm able to touch Pokémon by touching Snowy!" said Lillie. "So the logical conclusion would be that I should be able to touch Pikachu and continue to touch Meeko!"
"Lu…Cario." said Meeko, shaking her head at Pikachu. "Rio, Rio, Cario."
"Pika?" asked Pikachu.
"Rio, Rio." said Meeko.
"Pika, Pikachu." Pikachu tells her.
"Lucario." said Meeko, glaring at him before bring up a fist.
"Pika." Pikachu warned her.
"Now, now, don't fight." said Lillie, then takes them both outside.
"Pika!" said Pikachu, seeing the small Pokémon playground.
"Okay, Pikachu and Meeko." said Lillie. "Go ahead and play as much as you like."
"Pikachu!" shouted Pikachu while Meeko started to look around the playground.
"Bonsly!" squealed a Bonsly as it went down the slide.
"Pika!" shouted Pikachu, sliding down after Bonsly. Out on the balcony, Lillie was making notes in her journal. "First off, I'm going to do a little observing." stated Lillie.
"First things first. A good first step to get to know each other." said Hobbes.
"Pi! Pi! Pika!" said Pikachu, having fun.
"Cario." said Meeko, jumping up onto the monkey bars.
"Pikachu's movements are quick, filled with wonder and curiosity." said Lillie.
"Psy?" asked Psyduck.
"Pi! Pi! Pi!" said Pikachu.
"Meeko on the other hand…." said Lillie, looking over at the Aura Pokémon.
"Cario?" asked Meeko, looking at Lillie and does an aerial cartwheel.
"Meeko is one of a kind." she then added, making another note. "Mm-hm."
"Order's up, Mallow!" her dad called out as he places an order on the counter. "Come and get it while it's hot!"
"Coming! Be back in no time." Mallow said to the customers.
"Toge." said Togedemaru, hopping up on the table, causing the couple to laugh.
"So cute." said the woman. "Would you like to eat with us?"
"Togede!" squealed Togedemaru. "Toge!"
"Why not join me, too?" said another customer.
"Ma!" squealed Togedemaru, before rolling up and spins out of control in Mallow's restaurant.
"Huh?" said Mallow, turning around to see the disaster. "No, Togedemaru! No rolling in here!"
Soon as she said that, Togedemaru crashes into her, causing Mallow to drop the plate she was holding. "Huh?" said Mallow as Togedemaru squeaked.
"Oh, dear. We seem to have a lively new mascot." said Mallow's dad.
"Toge!" said Togedemaru, happily as Mallow chuckled.
"You're something, Togedemaru." said Mallow.
"Okay! Ready, Steenee?" Sophocles asked. "Start running!"
"Stee?" asked Steenee, not understanding what she needed to do.
"Huh? Don't you understand?" asked Sophocles, walking over to the equipment and shows her what she needed to do. "Like this."
"Steenee?" asked Steenee, walking on the hamster wheel before jumping off.
"Huh?"
"Steenee?" Steenee asked again as she ran towards the garden. "Steenee!"
"(Groans) I know Togedemaru would be all over this if I asked." grumbled Sophocles.
"Wowee!" said Harper and Sarah, looking up at Turtonator. "So big! So big!"
"Please you two." Lana said to her sisters. "Don't play tricks on Turtonator, okay?"
"Okay!" said the twins with sparkles in their eyes.
"Turto…." said Turtonator, feeling uncomfortable. Out on his farm, Kiawe was carrying some hay and then turns to Popplio. "All right, then." said Kiawe.
"Pop?" asked Popplio.
"Now what do I do?" Kiawe asked himself. "When it comes to dealing with water types, I…"
"Popplio!" said Mimo, running out towards them and hugs Popplio. "Popplio? Play with me, please?"
"Pop!" squealed Popplio, hugging Mimo.
"I've got a great idea." Kiawe said to Popplio and his sister. "Why don't you two get some fresh Moomoo milk and then you can go and drink it together?"
"Okay! Let's go, Popplio!" said Mimo.
"Pop!" said Popplio, following Mimo inside as Kiawe sighs.
"Hey, Snowy! Come here!" said Ash, reaching out to the small ice fox.
"Ash, don't try and force Snowy to come to you, right away." said Jordan as Rockruff barks and Snowy turns away from him. "Let Snowy come to you when she's ready."
"Aw, come on. Come over here!" said Ash, trying again. "I'm still going to try anyway, Jordan."
"He's going to get frozen again." said Jordan as Snowy uses Powder Snow on her brother. "And there we have it."
"Brr! Cold!" said Ash, then gave his sister a glare. "Now what?"
"Communication's a bit challenging at best." said Rotom as Snowy walks past Ash.
"Huh?" said Ash.
"I told you, Ash." said Jordan as Snowy walks up to her. Jordan then pets her and picks Snowy up. "Don't try and force her to come to you right away. Let her come to you when she's ready."
"But…." said Ash.
"No buts, big brother. Right now, think of Snowy as Meeko." said Jordan as she sets Snowy down. "Remember how Meeko had to get use to us at first when she hatched." Snowy decided to curl up and lay next to Litten.
"Ah. Yeah." said Ash, looking at Snowy. Kukui places nine bowls on the counter, filled with Pokémon food. "Hey! Your dinners are already!" Kukui called out.
"Awesome! We're starving." said Ash.
"Dinner!" said Jordan, following Ash. Litten, Rowlet and the other Pokémon watched them go at the food. "Here!" said Ash, carrying his half of Pokémon food to his Pokémon and Snowy while Jordan takes the others. "Eat up, everybody! You, too. Eat up!"
"Vul." said Snowy, turning away from her food.
"Huh? Hm." said Ash.
"That's strange. I know Snowy likes that particular kind of Pokémon food." said Rotom. "So, why won't she eat it?"
"Maybe Snowy's learning that she can be a little picky." suggested Jordan.
"Could be." said Ash as Kukui walks to the table with their food.
"(Sighs) I'm….I'm just fine." said Sophocles as he laid in bed that night as Steenee slept not far from him. "No fear. No fear!"
He then turns off his light, making his room dark only for his to scream and turn it back on. "It's too dark!" screamed Sophocles. "No matter how hard I try, I can't sleep without Togedemaru. And I'm tired."
"Stee?" asked Steenee, seeing an upset Sophocles and climbs into bed with him. "Steenee!"
"Steenee!" said Sophocles.
"Steenee." said Steenee, releasing her sweet scent to help him relax.
"That smells so good." said Sophocles, relaxing. "So good. (Sighs) Good night."
The next day, Togedemaru squeals and rolls around as Mallow does her chores, knocking into her. "Ow. Ow." said Mallow, falling to the floor as Togedemaru squeals excitedly. "Oh, Togedemaru. Stay still for a bit." Togedemaru squealed, rolled into a ball and started heading for a bucket of soapy water.
"Watch out!" Mallow called out but her warning came too late. Togedemaru hits the bucket of soapy water, knocking its content on her and a couple of rags landed on her body.
Togedemaru screams, freaking out as she rolled into a ball and rolled around the dining room at top speed. "Wow! It's getting clean!" said a shocked Mallow as the floor starts to sparkle and shine. "Great, Togedemaru! Don't worry about staying still."
"Togede!" squealed Togedemaru.
"When we're done, we'll have breakfast. Okay?" said Mallow, causing Togedemaru to be even more happy.
Kiawe was carrying a container of milk, with Popplio close behind. "Pol! Pol!" said Popplio.
"What's up, Popplio?" Kiawe asked.
"Pol!" said Popplio.
"If you want to play, there's a…." said Kiawe when Mimo runs up to them.
"It's an emergency." said Mimo. "The Tauros are fighting!"
Kiawe gasps as a couple of Tauros mooed angrily at each other, causing a couple of Miltank to be scared. "You two stop that, right now!" Kiawe shouted at them, but neither Tauros didn't want to hear it.
"Kiawe? What do we do?" asked Mimo.
"We've got to stop them. Turtonator!" said Kiawe, thinking that his Pokémon was there but made his mistake. "Turtonator's not here. (Gasp)"
He then sees Popplio run out towards the Tauros as both Pokémon ignored her. "Popplio? Look out!" shouted Kiawe. "Huh?"
"Po! Po!" said Popplio, creating a big balloon and throws it at the Tauros. Soon as it popped and water had fallen on the Tauros, both became shocked and became even more angry at each other.
"I think you want to help me." said Kiawe, understanding what Popplio was doing.
"Pop!" said Popplio, glaring at the two Tauros.
"So! Make a balloon, a big one!" said Kiawe.
"Po!" said Popplio, making the balloon.
"Just a little bit more. Now, concentrate." said Kiawe as Popplio makes the balloon as big as she could.
"Popplio!"
"Throw it!"
Once the balloon was launched, both Tauros looked up and see it popped over them, causing them to be shocked and drenched with water. "That was amazing." said Kiawe, praising Popplio.
"Po!" said Popplio.
"Now, let's clean them up right away, then I'm sure they'll calm down." Kiawe said to Mimo.
"Mm-hm." said Mimo, smiling.
"Popplio, use Bubble Beam, but gently." said Kiawe.
"Pop!" said Popplio, then squealed as she made bubbles for the Tauros.
"Now, doesn't that feel good?" Kiawe asked the now happy Tauros.
"I'll help too." said Mimo, then rushed over to help her brother.
"Pop! Pop! Pop!" squealed Popplio. At Lana's house, Turtonator felt helpless as Sarah and Harper jumped on its back.
"Turtonator's so big, so big." said Harper.
"So strong, so strong." said Sarah.
"Oh, I forgot." said Lana, opening the main door. "You can't touch Turtonator's spikes. Whoa!"
"Turto!" shouted Turtonator as one of the twins touched its spike, causing an explosion on its back.
"Wow! Turtonator's fun!" said Harper.
"Surprises are fun." said Sarah.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Lana said to Turtonator. "Are you okay?"
"Turtonator." Turtonator said with a smile, showing her that the twins didn't mean any harm.
"Brush-a, brush-a and I'm making sure the brush doesn't touch any spikes." said Lana, giving Turtonator's back a wash.
"Turto!" said Turtonator as the twins went to grab brushes.
"Harper will help!" said Harper.
"Sarah, too! Sarah, too!" said Sarah.
"That would be nice. Thanks!" said Lana. Both Sarah and Harper helped their sister finish washing Turtonator's back. "Turtonator." chuckled Turtonator.
"Man, she hasn't eaten." said Ash, walking up to Snowy.
"I'm getting worried." said Jordan as Snowy looks up at them with one eye opened before closing it.
"I know! Let's go for a walk!" said Ash. "Lillie told us that you really like to go for walks, right?"
"Vul?" asked Snowy.
"Taking a walk might help you relax." said Jordan with Lyra on her head.
"Ruff!" barked Rockruff as Litten comes up behind her.
"Okay?" asked Ash.
"Litt!" said Litten.
"Vul. Vulpix!" said Snowy.
"Yes! Let's go!" said Ash and Jordan.
"Ash, Jordan, I'll come too." said Rotom. "Wait!"
"Vul!" Snowy called out as Ash, Jordan and the others ran out the door. Ash and Jordan ran to the market.
"Alola!" Ash and Jordan called out to the woman of the fruit stand.
"How nice! Alola!" she replied, then looks down at Litten. "Littie, it looks like you're doing well!"
"You're right! Litten's great!" said Ash.
"Litten's thriving." said Jordan as Litten meows in agreement.
"I have some of Littie's favorite berries here." said the woman, then sets down a bowl with six pieces of fruit in it. "Here. Eat up. You eat up, too." Rockruff and Rowlet ran right for the bowl, gobbling up. "Fresh Sitrus berries are exceptionally nutritious, you know." said Rotom.
"It's great you like them." said Ash.
"Who's this?" asked the woman.
"This is our friend, Snowy. She's a little shy." said Jordan as Snowy whines and tries to hide behind her legs.
"Now, what's wrong? You can have some." the woman said, reassuring her. "The island's great bounty is for everybody to share." Litten looks back at Snowy before grabbing the last berry in the bowl and taking it to her.
Litten meows as it gives the berry to Snowy. "Vul?" Snowy asked, looking up at Ash and Jordan as though looking for approval. Rowlet trills with food on its face as Litten meows again, letting Snowy know that it was okay. "Vul. Vul." said Snowy, taking a bite.
"Great. Eat up." said Ash and Jordan.
"Vul!" Snowy said happily.
"Well, I see you like it!" said the woman.
"That's so awesome." said Ash.
"Someone's in a good mood." said Jordan as Snowy continued to eat. Brother and sister ran along the beach with Snowy and the others, heading back to Kukui's house. "Hey, Snowy, we always train together." said Ash as he runs in place. "So why don't you join us and get in on the fun, too?"
"Vul?" she asked, tilting her head.
"Litten, use Ember!" shouted Ash.
"Litten!" shouted Litten, jumping up into the air and releases its Ember towards a rock.
"You see that?" Ash asked. "Using moves like that can really relieve stress!"
"You won't know until you try, Snowy." added Jordan.
"Vul?" Snowy asked again. Rockruff barks, Rowlet trilled and Litten meowed in agreement. "Hm!" said Snowy, willing to try as she stares out into the ocean.
"Okay, Snowy. Powder Snow!" shouted Ash.
"Vul….pix!" she shouted, releasing Powder Snow from her mouth and out towards the ocean, causing a small wave of water to freeze instantly.
"Magnificent." said Rotom as both siblings gasped.
"Snowy, that was so great." said Ash.
"That was awesome." said Jordan.
"You're something else!" added Ash.
"Vul?"
"I know. Let's make you stronger." suggested Ash. "Lillie will think it's so cool."
"Vul!" said Snowy, smiling with joy in her eyes.
"All right. Let's start training!" said Ash.
"Let's go, go, go!" said Jordan.
"Yeah!" said Ash and Jordan as their Pokémon cheered. Lillie held a bowl of fruit as she stared at Pikachu and Meeko.
"Here, Pikachu. Meeko. Eat." said Lillie, pushing the bowl towards the mouse.
"Pika!" said Pikachu, running forward, causing Lillie to stiffen up.
"Cario." grumbled Meeko.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked, looking up at Lillie.
"I'm so sorry!" said Lillie, apologizing.
"Lucario." Meeko said, reassuring her.
"The thing is, I really want to become better friends with the both of you." Lillie explained, then starts thinking. "Let's see. I wonder how the two of you got close with Ash and Jordan." She then remembers what Ash, Pikachu, Jordan and Meeko did the first day she met them.
"Pikachu, use Quick Attack now!" shouted Ash.
"Meeko, use Force Palm!" shouted Jordan.
Lillie gasped and knew what she had to do. Out on her home's battle field as the sun was setting, she stood on one end with Pikachu and Meeko. "Now, Hobbes, please don't hold back one bit." she said to him.
"Alright, Miss Lillie, are you sure about this?" Hobbes asked.
"Cori….." said Oricorio.
"Pikachu and Meeko, help me. Will you both battle against them with me?" Lillie asked them.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Sure thing, Lillie!" said Meeko.
"When Ash, Pikachu, Jordan and Meeko battle, they're perfectly in sync." thought Lillie. "It's the trust between them that makes that possible. If I can gain Pikachu's and Meeko's trust by doing some battling, even just a little bit…..hm."
"Oricori! Oricori! Oricori!" said Oricorio as Lillie takes a deep breath.
"Pikachu, Meeko, use Quick Attack!" shouted Lillie.
"Pika!" shouted Pikachu, taking off with Meeko not far behind him.
"Cario!" shouted Meeko, running in sync with Pikachu.
"Quick, Oricorio, dodge it." said Hobbes.
"Pika!" shouted Pikachu, as Oricorio dodges both attacks.
"Uh-oh." said Lillie.
"Pi!" said Pikachu as Meeko lands next to him.
"Revelation Dance, now!" said Hobbes.
"Ri! Ri! Ri! Ri! Ri! Ri!" said Oricorio, rubbing its pom poms together and sends its electricity to Pikachu and Meeko.
"Pika! Lucar!" shouted Pikachu and Meeko.
"Oh, no!" said Lillie. "Are you and Meeko okay, Pikachu?"
"Pika." said Pikachu, panting as he and Meeko caught their breath.
"All right, use Teeter Dance." said Hobbes and Oricorio hums.
"Pikachu, Meeko, don't look at what they're doing!" Lillie called out.
"Pi….Pika." said Pikachu as Meeko closed her eyes but it was too late, Oricorio's Teeter Dance had put Pikachu in a trance.
"Use Double Slap!" shouted Hobbes.
"Meeko, dodge it!" shouted Lillie.
"Lucari!" said Meeko jumping to the side as Oricorio runs towards them.
"Ori! Ori!" said Oricorio, slapping Pikachu.
"Pika!" groaned Pikachu when he was slapped back.
"Lucario!" Meeko called out.
"Pikachu." said Lillie.
"Double Slap again." said Hobbes.
"Ori! Ori!" said Oricorio, slapping Pikachu again.
"Pika!" Pikachu screamed.
"Oh! What do I do now?" Lillie asked herself as Meeko helped Pikachu up.
"Pikachu…" said Pikachu through the dust.
"Oh, Pikachu… Meeko? Oh." said Lillie, not knowing what to do next until she got her thoughts together. "Right. A Pokémon battle is something a Trainer and Pokémon do together. Pikachu and Meeko won't be able to battle unless I do my part!"
"Pika!" Pikachu called out to Lillie.
"Rio!" said Meeko.
"Right now, I'm both Pikachu and Meeko's partner, not Ash and Jordan!" Lillie reminded herself. "I have to go through with this! Right, but can I?"
"Lucario!" Meeko called out, gaining Lillie's attention.
"Huh? Meeko?" asked Lillie.
"Rio, Rio, Cario!" said Meeko, smiling as she tries to give her confidence. Lillie then nods her head.
"Meeko's right. If I run away, I accomplish nothing." said Lillie. "I'm here because I want to be."
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Rio." said Meeko.
"Pikachu, Meeko, will you both believe in me?" asked Lillie.
"Pika! Lucari!" they both called out.
"All right! Pikachu, use Quick Attack! Meeko, use Force Palm!" said Lillie.
"Pika!" said Pikachu, running towards Oricorio.
"Dodge it!" Hobbes said to Oricorio.
"Ori! Ori!" said Oricorio, dancing but was hit by Pikachu.
"Cario!" shouted Meeko, runs up to Oricorio, punches it and knocks Oricorio back, hard into the ground.
"When it comes to speed and accuracy, Pikachu and Meeko are unbeatable!" said Lillie as Pikachu and Meeko landed on the ground. "All right, you two. Pikachu, use Thunderbolt. Meeko, use Bone Rush!"
"Lucar!" said Meeko, connecting her paws together to create her bone.
"Pika…..chu!" shouted Pikachu, sending a Thunderbolt after Meeko made contact with Bone Rush.
"Ori!" screamed Oricorio, feeling both Bone Rush and Thunderbolt then fainted.
"Pi!" said Pikachu, landing next to Meeko.
"We won." said Lillie, then she started giggling. "I did it! Pikachu! Meeko! Ah!"
"Pika! Lucar!" said Pikachu and Meeko as they ran towards Lillie. Pikachu jumps into Lillie's arms while Meeko jumps onto her back. "We did it! We did it!" squealed Lillie as she touches both Pokémon.
"Pikachu! Lucario!" said both Pokémon
"You're amazing!" she said, then sees that Meeko stood next to her and Pikachu was in her arms.
"Pi? Pika?" asked Pikachu.
"Rio? Cario?" asked Meeko.
"Pi." said Pikachu as Lillie pulls each of them closer.
"Lucar." said Meeko, rubbing her head against Lillie.
"You're so cozy when I hug you." Lillie said to Pikachu who squealed in happiness. "And you're so warm."
"Lucario!" said Meeko, pressing her nose against Lillie's cheek. Hobbes wipes the tears from his eyes as he watches Lillie. "Stee!" said Steenee, jumping into Mallow's arms.
"Steenee! All right! You're back!" said Mallow.
"You're acting like you havent seen Steenee in years." said Sophocles.
"I know you missed Togedemaru a lot." said Mallow. "Tell the truth. I'm right, aren't I?"
"Yeah. You're right." said Sophocles, crossing his arms. "Togedemaru? What's with you?"
Togedemaru was smiling happily against Mallow's leg. "I think Togedemaru really took a liking to our restaurant's great food." said Mallow.
"Oh, no." groaned Sophocles.
"Wow, is it just me or is Turtonator's color look especially great?" Kiawe asked.
"Well, Harper and Sarah made sure of that. Trust me." said Lana.
"Well, well. It look like exchanging partners was productive." said Kukui.
"I'll say it was." said Sophocles, then takes something out of his backpack. "I recreated Steenee's Sweet Scent, put in dough and made Malasadas, see? Eat up, gang!"
Everybody started grabbing a malasada from the basket. "So good." said Ash as Jordan takes one from his hand.
"Smells yummy!" said Lana.
"Wow! I wish I could sell these." said Mallow.
Kukui looks over his shoulder at Jordan. "On the other hand….I don't think we'll be doing it again anytime soon."
"What? I really wanted to see Meeko." said Jordan, munching on a malasada. "I went through a withdrawal over the weekend."
"Oh, how was it, Lillie?" Mallow asked. "Did you, Pikachu and Meeko get close?"
"(Giggles) Pikachu? Meeko?" said Lillie, holding her arm out.
"Pika." said Pikachu, climbing up her arm.
"Lucario." said Meeko, hopping up onto Lillie's back.
"(Giggles) Well?" asked Lillie as Pikachu squealed and Meeko cooed.
"You're able to touch Pikachu and Meeko now! Wow!" said Mallow.
"It's wonderful! Everything's fine." said Lillie.
"Nice going, Lillie! You too, buddy!" said Ash as Meeko hops down and walks over to Jordan.
"Rio." said Meeko, hugging her trainer tightly.
"I missed you too." said Jordan.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"You should be proud of yourself, Lillie." said Professor Kukui.
"Thank you!" said Lillie. "Know what? I'll keep working on it, too, and then I can touch all of them."
"Ash, Jordan, so how was it?" Kukui asked the siblings.
"It was awesome." said Ash.
"And a little rough at first." said Jordan.
"Snowy, Jordan and I trained lots." said Ash. "Lillie? Want to battle?"
"Battle with me?" she asked.
"You and Pikachu against Snowy and me." said Ash, then points over to Jordan who was hugging Meeko tight against her. "Knowing Meeko, she wants to make sure that Jordan's okay."
"Lucario." said Meeko, nodding.
"Mm-hm." said Lillie.
"Pika!" said Pikachu in agreement.
"Pikachu, lets show them everything that we learned with Meeko." said Lillie.
"Pikachu!" shouted Pikachu.
"You trained really hard." said Ash. "Now, let's show 'em."
"Vul!" said Snowy.
"Go all of you." cheered Mallow.
"Good luck." said Lana.
"You'll be great." said Sophocles.
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"Vulpix!" said Snowy.
Narrator: A temporary swap has given our heroes a chance to learn about their friends' Pokémon. And in the process, they've learned even more how precious their own partners are! Right, Jordan?
Jordan, popping up with Meeko in her arms: Right. (eye twitches) I even had a nightmare that first night over the weekend.
Meeko: Cari? Lucar, Lucario?
Narrator: It looks like Professor Kukui's unusual class is a rousing success, especially on Jordan's part, as the journey continues.
