First meet
"Waaah, waaah," little Jacob wailed.
"Are you hungry little man? Let's feed you." Sarah Black lifted him into her arms and began nursing him. The sound of the front door opening met her ears.
"Sarah? Charlie is here and he brought Liana with him," Billy called.
Two days before Jacob was born, Charlie's wife gave birth to their second girl that they named Liana Rose.
Charlie stepped into the house carrying his baby girl. She was soundly asleep in his arms.
"Hi Charlie, how are you doing?" Sarah greeted him.
"Not to bad, a little tired from this little one here but I'm doing ok," he said.
"You can set her down in Jacobs cradle if you want, let her sleep a bit," Sarah said.
Charlie carefully placed his daughter in the cradle and went on to talk with Billy. Sarah observed Liana as she slept. The baby girl had tiny tufts of light brown hair sticking up. Her mouth was partially open and her little hands were curled into balls.
Jacob detached and Sarah burped him before placing him down beside Liana. Jacob stared at her, then closed his eyes and fell asleep.
"Mommy! Can we go play outside?" Rachel asked, running up to her mother.
"Shh, the babies are sleeping. Yes you may go outside, but stay close and dress well, it's almost supper time," Sarah warned them.
The twins ran off to play and Sarah began setting the table, all the while keeping an eye on the three week old babies.
When Sarah went to check on them next she found them snuggled right up next to each other. They're adorable. They will end up married someday. Sarah took a picture of the them to show them when they grew up.
Liana whimpered and woke up. She flailed her arms around and that woke Jacob up. They started wailing so Sarah picked them both up. They snuggled right up against her and fell asleep again. When she set them down they curled up together again. Those two will be best friends for life.
A little over a month later Charlie called to tell them that Renee had left, taking both girls with her.
