"So, what movie are we watching?" Layla asked as she came over with a bowl of popcorn and joined Igneel on the couch as she leaned against him.

"I thought we see a wedding movie and give us ideas for our own." Igneel said.

"That's not a bad idea." Layla said as the two of them tried to enjoy the movie. "By the way, have you noticed? Natsu and Lucy seem to be getting along lately. It looks like they're finally not letting the past get to them."

"You're right. I wonder what happened between them." Igneel said. Little do they know what that might be.

Natsu and Lucy

The thing was that Natsu and Lucy are clearly still attracted to each other. They just can't seem to help themselves with this raw urge and passion towards each other comes out. Both of them understand it's messed up given the circumstances, but it's just something they can't control. That's why they're keeping it secret from their parents. For the past week, they've been secretly seeing each other and are just doing...each other. Technically, since their parents are married to each other, they found a loophole and think it's okay. That is why they were in Natsu's car having an intimate moment as the car was bobbing with Lucy sitting right on Natsu in the driver's seat with their clothes opened up.

"Oh, Natsu! You feel so warm!" Lucy moaned as she bounced against him, pressing her hands against the top of the car.

"Well, you smell and taste like vanilla, and I love it." Natsu said as he bounced with Lucy.

"Why is this wrong when it feels so right?" Lucy said.

"I thought we agreed this isn't wrong as long as our parents aren't married." Natsu said.

"Shut up and do me!" Lucy insisted as she threw herself at him and kissed him as hard as he could. Both of them kept going until they couldn't hold back anymore and unloaded the "tension" against each other. Once it was done, Natsu reached for the switch and caused both of them to fall back. With that, they just laid their and held each other. "The fact that this seems wrong is why this feels so good."

"Kind of reminds me of our prom night." Natsu said with both of them having a laugh.

"I've really missed this. I missed you." Lucy admitted. It has them both thinking what could have happened if that day didn't go the way that it did, but they both rather not think about it.

"You know, we are hitting the beach tomorrow." Natsu said. "What are we going to do then? Seeing you in a swimsuit is going to make it difficult for me to resist you."

"We'll just have to slip away carefully, but for now..." Lucy said as she kissed him once more and just wanted to enjoy this moment.

Igneel and Layla

"Well, as long as they're on better terms than they were before, it's really all that matters." Igneel said as he and Layla were completely unaware of what their kids are doing. "I also can't wait for a little trip down to the beach tomorrow."

"Same here. I'm hoping it will bring the four of us closer together." Layla said.

"And maybe if we're alone..." Igneel said as he slid his hands down her body and tempted Layla. Looks like the Heartfilias and the Dragneels just can't seem to resist each other.

...

The Next Day

The Dragneels and the Heartfilia hit the beach just like they plan. It seemed like a beautiful perfect day. The sun was shining, the temperature was perfect, and it seemed like there wasn't a problem anywhere. It seemed like a great day for some fun and maybe bringing people together.

"Oh man. It is gorgeous." Lucy said as she was soaking in the sun. She was referring to the day, but Natsu thinks she looks better than the day. He was right about her in that swimsuit. It looked like it complimented her body perfectly. Of course, he had to keep it under control since his parents are nearby and can't reveal anything to them about what they've been doing. As for Layla and Igneel, they were having fun in the water like they were younger and splashed around the water at each other.

"Layla, this was better than I imagined." Igneel said as he was clearly having a great time.

"I knew everyone would love it." Layla said. "It also looks like Natsu and Lucy are having a nice time. I just wish they come and join in the water with us."

"Let them be. Let's just be glad they're here." Igneel said. "I think you're just afraid because you're my only target." He said as he splashed some water right at her. He enjoyed seeing that as Layla's swimsuit looked great on her, especially when water splashes against her.

"Is that how it's going to be?" Layla said as she ran over to him and jumped right on him. The two of them were acting like young kids again. They certainly know how to have a good time with them. Igneel even lifted her off her feet and spun her around. They even snuck in a couple kisses with each other.

"Watch it! You're in public!" Natsu called.

"Let them have their fun." Lucy said as she sat up.

"I much rather have fun with you." Natsu said. "You tanning to try and get me jealous or something?" He said as he gave her a playful shove.

"Me make you jealous? I saw you eyeing a few other girls." Lucy said as she shoved back. The two of them kept shoving each other until Natsu decided to tackle her with Lucy laughing as the two of them rolled around. When Natsu got Lucy pinned, they stared down at each other and he looked ready to take her right then and there.

"Hey!" Igneel called and got the two to stop what they were doing. "What's going on? You two okay?"

"Sorry, Dad! Just horsing around!" Natsu claimed as the two of them tried to look innocent. "That was close." He whispered to her. "Another second and I'm afraid I would have gave us away. When can we get together?"

"Don't worry. We'll tell them we're going for a walk later, find a private spot, then we can have our time together." Lucy told him.

"Come on, you two! Come in the water! You have to go in the water if you're at the beach!" Igneel said.

"Okay! I'm coming!" Lucy called as she went and joined them in. Otherwise, Lucy might have been too tempted herself to have Natsu. Natsu just hung out on the sand and just tried to relax. As Lucy and Igneel were having fun in the water, Layla came back to Natsu and wrapped a flowery towel around her and put on a floppy hat.

"Natsu, are you and Lucy really getting along?" Layla asked.

"Yeah. Sorry about that. We really were just horsing around." Natsu said. "I swear, Lucy and I have been good lately."

"Good." Layla said. "When you two ended things all those years ago, it greatly hurt her."

"Oh man. Are we talking about that again?" Natsu said as he rather not want to think about that.

"You're right." Layla said as she didn't bother with it. "It's ancient history and you two are on good terms now. It seems to be forgotten."

"Well, I wouldn't say that." Natsu claimed as that day still bothers him. "Things aren't exactly resolved, but I guess they are better when they were. It's a work in progress."

"Okay..." Layla said as she didn't quite get it, but she took it. Natsu rather just enjoy what he and Lucy has, but he knows better.

"Hey. How hurt was Lucy when I ended it?" Natsu asked.

"Very." Layla claimed and that got Natsu to feel bad. Hurting Lucy was the last thing he ever wanted. "Lucy believed you two would be together forever. You were her first love. It's not easy hearing bad and heartbreaking news when your life is about to change."

"I know, but I had a great opportunity." Natsu said.

"Despite that, Lucy would have been more understand if you hadn't waited." Layla said. "I tried to convince her not to go to college that day, but she did. I was scared in her state of mind that she was going to have an accident." The thought of that happening terrified Natsu, especially when he thinks it would have been his fault. Now that he's not so angry with her anymore, he's starting to see things through Lucy's point of view. "In fact, I remember she did a little research for you. She knew it was your dream to be a fireman, so she tried finding ways you could do that when you went to college together."

"I didn't know that." Natsu said as that bit surprised him.

"Oh, she did. As her mother, I could tell she deeply cared for you." Layla said. "She had it all thought out and wanted to surprise you, but you broke up with her and left. She never got the chance." Knowing this now, it had Natsu see how wrong he was. Lucy understood the whole time. He was just too upset the whole time to really see it. Meanwhile, Lucy and Igneel were having some fun in the water together. The two of them were having a nice time together. He even dived under the water with Lucy wondering where he went.

"Mr. Dragneel?" Lucy questioned. She was suddenly surprised when she felt herself hoisted in the air with her sitting on his shoulders.

"Take down from down under!" Igneel called as he dropped Lucy down and have her splash around in the water.

"Very funny!" Lucy said as she pulled herself together. "You and Natsu really are father and son, Mr. Igneel."

"Lucy, you know you can call me Igneel now." He claimed. "Might I say that it's great that you and Natsu are on better terms. I understand how hard it must have been for both of you when you broke up. Both of you seemed so angry with each other."

"Yeah... We certainly found a way to make it work." Lucy said while a little embarrassed about how they figured it out. "Still, Natsu was the one that broke up with me at the last minute before college."

"I know all that, but it really hurt him as much as it hurt you." Igneel said. "Honestly, Natsu wanted to tell you as soon as he found out. He just didn't have the heart to tell you. Hurting you was the last thing he wanted, if he wanted that at all. I told him he should have let you know as soon as he could, but he was too afraid."

"Afraid?" Lucy questioned. "I've never seen Natsu to be afraid of anything. Besides, I didn't care. I wanted us to try and stay together. We would have figured something out."

"You probably would have, but I think Natsu wanted both of you to be able to have your dreams." Igneel said. "He tried explaining himself, but you wouldn't really listen. He knew you deserved to know, but I say letting you go was the hardest thing he ever had to do. You meant so much to him, probably the best thing that happened to him back then." Now that Lucy is thinking with a clear head, she's beginning to see Natsu's perspective on this. She thought he was being senseless, but she now sees he had to try and endure the hardest thing he ever had to do. They both now have a different persepctive on what happened that day.

...

Later

The two of them continued on the day with the beach and they spent the whole day there. It was a lot of fun and they loved it. The sun was starting to set with Igneel and Layla enjoying the view.

"Such a beautiful sunset." Layla said.

"Yeah, it really is. It's almost like a work of art." Igneel said as he held Layla close.

"I'm almost sad that such a perfect day is almost over." Layla said. "Speaking of which, where are Natsu and Lucy? We should probably get going soon."

"They both wanted to have a walk along the water before leaving. They should be back soon." Igneel said. "Until then..." Igneel took the opportunity as he lured Layla closer to him and started to kiss her against the sunset for a perfect moment.

Natsu and Lucy

Natsu and Lucy walked down the water as they were both looking for a chance to have a moment to themselves, but they both wanted to make sure they were covered. They soon found a small shed they can use and it looked like no one was using it.

"Finally!" Lucy said as they hurried behind it and couldn't wait anymore as Natsu pressed her against the wall and they started another intimate moment between each other. However, there was something itching Natsu's mind and he has to say what's really on his mind.

"Wait." Natsu said as he stopped.

"What? We probably don't have much time left." Lucy said.

"There's something I've got say." Natsu said as he was getting serious. "Lucy, I'm really sorry." That was something Lucy wasn't expected. "I know it's late, but I shouldn't have waited until the last minute to tell you that I was going to a different school. Your mom told me you were looking for ways for me to still be a fireman if I went with you. You really were supportive, but I didn't see that. I guess I was just too upset that we did have to break-up. I'm sorry." He felt so guilty about the whole thing and he wished he could have fixed it sooner.

"I waited a long time to hear that, but I'm sorry too." Lucy said. "Your dad told me it was the hardest thing you ever had to do. I should have tried to listen to you, but I was too hurt like you do. Now, I'm just glad we're this close again." Lucy said as she kissed him with passion again, but it felt more serene than primal with the two of them holding close. The Dragneels and the Heartfilias are getting closer and this certainly was a great day at the beach, but if Natsu and Lucy are getting closer like this, what's going to come out of it with the two relationships?
