Man had always strived for greatness.
No matter the age, every man always aim to grasp success within their palms. For success, there's always a reward. Man's obsession for knowledge had managed to bring them to the age where dreams became a possibility. And if one thing man had been scared the most then it is losing the progress they've made up until their deaths.
As such, in the age of cybernetics, life extension is completely possible at a price...literally.
The limitations of biological beings has always been a debated topics amongst scientists, one believed that we could somehow break the plateau and become superhumans while the other disagreed with the notion in that doing so would only end up breaking their own body. When cybernetics were created, the debate came into a stop as they now found a way to not only making the body break through their limits, but also extend one's life.
And so, the use of cybernetics became commonplace and people lived their everyday lives with metal replacing their limbs. People who couldn't afford cybernetics are branded as poor while those that does are common folks. The existence of such thing had drove mankind to be more obsessed with materialism that life itself became meaningless to their eyes.
Even less for those who are still human.
Which is where the humans made their major mistake.
A young boy with gravity-defying hair wearing armor colored white and gold covering the blue tights laid on the ground, watching a few planets in the skies with a bald companion on his side as they relish in the flesh of inhabitants of this planet.
Humans thought they were alone in the universe, that there aren't any extraterrestrial lives.
The young boy raises his hand on the sky, seemingly trying to reach before opening his palm and shot two small energy balls that spirals into the sky.
Beings of unimaginable powers, creatures that had torn the boundaries of their body apart. Terrifying things that discards metal for their only means of transportation.
Ignorance isn't a bliss.
The two spiraling ball of energy escape the planet's orbits before splitting, heading towards two planets. Travelling at the speed of light, the ball of energy arrived at their destination in less than a second. Not before long, huge explosions covered the two planets but the explosion expanded, devouring neighboring planets as well.
"Hot damn, Vegeta! Hahahahahahahahaha!"
It's a curse.
"Heh, that's nothing." The young man's smirk turn into a frown, "All this power, all the expectations placed in me, all the responsibility...yet, it's still not enough for that tyrant Frieza."
"Don't worry, Vegeta! I'm sure you can take that asshole one day!"
"Yeah, I hope so."
For there are even more terrifying forces beyond the light...
