Our story begins with Mirage walking down the sidewalk on a nice morning. She stopped at a turn and saw several children and parents at a park. One boy in particular was playing with his mom, both of them going down the slide before they laughed when they reached the bottom. Mirage smiled before her smile turned into a sad one. She remembered that the day was Mother's Day. Seeing parents with their children made her happy, but it also made her wish for something.
"I wish I had someone to spend Mother's Day with." Mirage said before she sat on a bench and sighed.
Meanwhile, at the Parr Houseā¦
"What?! But can't they find someone else to go?!" Dash asked Helen, who was fixing to head out.
"I'm sorry, Dash, but they can't find anyone else. It was last minute. I can't stand it either." Helen said, looking sad.
Dash looked sad before he lowered his head. Elastigirl then smiled as she ruffled his hair and said, "But, I promise we'll spend the day together once I get back. So don't be sad, okay?"
Dash looked up at her with a smile and said, "Okay."
"Atta boy. Who knows? You might just find a way to enjoy Mother's Day regardless." Elastigirl said before she sped off.
Dash watched her go with a smile before he called, "Happy Mother's Day, Mom!"
"Thank you!" Elastigirl called back before she disappeared.
Dash watched her go before he sat on the floor and sighed, "But how can I enjoy Mother's Day without Mom?" he asked.
Later, he walked up to the phone and dialed Mirage's number.
"Hello?" she said.
"Hi, Aunt Mirage." Dash said.
"Hello, Dash. What are you and Helen doing for Mother's Day?" Mirage asked.
"Nothing right now. Mom got called and she has to miss our plans." Dash said.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Mirage said.
"The good thing is she said we would spend the day together once she got back, so I can look forward to her coming back. But, how can I enjoy Mother's Day without her?" Dash said.
"I know where you're coming from. Honestly, I wish I had someone to spend Mother's Day with." Mirage said.
"You do?" Dash asked.
"Yes." Mirage said.
Then, a lightbulb went on in Dash's head.
"I have an idea, Aunt Mirage. Why don't you spend Mother's Day with me?" he said.
Mirage looked surprised, "But, why me?" she asked.
"Well, you may be my aunt, but you do care about me almost like Mom." Dash said.
Mirage smiled widely, "I'd be happy to spend Mother's Day with you, Dash." she said.
Dash smiled widely himself, "Awesome!" he said.
A few minutes later, Mirage arrived at the Parr House and she and Dash set out into Metroville.
"So, what should we do first?" Dash asked.
"Well, I was thinking we could head to the arcade. I'm determined to try and beat your high score today." Mirage said.
"Well, I won't be dethroned so easy." Dash said.
Later, they were at the arcade, with Mirage slowly starting to get the upper hand in a game of Incredibles Defense. Dash managed to keep his score up for a good while before he slipped up and got blasted by a ship. This gave Mirage the edge to win the level and her score to go over Dash's.
"Yes!" she said as the crowd that had been watching cheered.
"Well, guess my reign is over." Dash said before he shook Mirage's hand.
"Congratulations, Aunt Mirage." Dash said.
"Thank you, Dash." Mirage said.
Afterwards, they headed to a nearby restaurant for lunch.
"This is delicious!" Dash said as they feasted on a Mother's Day Seafood Plate.
"Isn't it?" Mirage said as she ate calamari.
After lunch, they headed out to a small carnival where they rode a miniature roller coaster.
"Woah!" they went as they went down a climb on the coaster.
Next, they went to the bumper cars.
"Incoming!" Dash called, heading towards Mirage's car, only for her to swerve and cause Dash to miss.
"Gotcha!" Mirage said as she hit Dash's car.
After bumper cars, they headed to an ice cream truck.
"So, how are you enjoying today, Aunt Mirage?" Dash asked.
"Very much." Mirage said.
As they were finishing their ice cream, they heard crooks causing a ruckus.
They arrived at the scene a few minutes later as Speed Demon and Aunt Incredible. They saw that the crooks were robbing a gift shop.
"Hey!" Speed Demon yelled, catching their attention.
"It's the Incredibles! Get them!" shouted a crook as they rushed at them with weapons.
Speed Demon beat the snot out of any crooks who tried to hit him, while Aunt Incredible scared crooks into submission with her laser eyes. They kept fighting back against the crooks and winning easy and once they had them in a pile, they tied them up for the cops as the civilians cheered.
Speed Demon and Aunt Incredible smirked before high-fiving.
Afterwards, they headed to the park, where Mirage pushed Dash on the swings.
"This day has been great, Aunt Mirage." Dash said.
"It sure has. Thank you so much for spending Mother's Day with me, Dash." Mirage said before they went to the slide and slid down it.
Later, when the sun was starting to set, Mirage and Dash were headed home, when Dash remembered something.
"Hold on, Aunt Mirage." Dash said before he dug a folded piece of paper out of his pocket. He handed it to her and she unfolded it.
"Dear Aunt, I could say a lot to describe how Incredible you are, but I think how much you care for me says plenty. You can never replace my mother, but I know for sure that you can always continue to love me as if I was your own son. Happy Mother's Day, Aunt Mirage. Dash."
Underneath it was a picture of her and Dash. Mirage smiled with tears in her eyes before she hugged Dash.
"Thank you, Dash." Mirage said as he hugged her back.
"You're welcome, Aunt Mirage." Dash said.
Later that night, Helen returned to the house to find Dash and Mirage playing video games in the living room.
"Having fun, you two?" she asked with a smile.
They smiled at seeing her and Dash ran and gave her a hug.
"Welcome back, Mom. Happy Mother's Day." he said.
"Thank you, Dash. Did you spend the day with Mirage?" Helen asked.
"He sure did. He even gave me a Mother's Day card to thank me for how much I care for him." Mirage said.
Helen smiled before Dash handed her a present and card of her own.
"I didn't forget you though, Mom." Dash said.
Helen smiled before she hugged Dash again and said, "What did I ever do to deserve such a wonderful son?"
Mirage smiled before she walked over and hugged him as well, "Or me, a wonderful nephew?" she asked.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, EVERYONE!
