If you ask me what kind of Loud House fan I am, I guess you could say I'm a rather obsessed member of the show's fan community. I've watched all the episodes of the show, I watched the movie and live-action films, and I have all of the comic books. I've even written a couple of fanfictions myself. I even considered playing some of the fan games such as Operation Just Dance , although I'm not sure if I want to because of… this experience I had a while back.

So it all began a few days ago. I happened to have a day off work and I decided to use my spare time wisely by rewatching my favourite Loud House episode, Be Stella My Heart (I will be shipping Stella with Lincoln until the day I drop, thank you haters). But, just as I was getting to the part of the episode where Rusty was theorising that Stella liked one of the boys, I suddenly heard the doorbell ring, which somewhat confused me as I hadn't made any plans for anyone to hang out. Pausing the episode I got up and proceeded over to the front door, grabbing the knob and swinging it open. I didn't see anyone at the door, but it didn't take me long before I caught sight of what seemed to be a package in my peripheral vision. So I did what anyone would do with a package - I picked it up and brought it inside.

Laying the package on my kitchen counter I used a butter knife to slash through the tape holding it shut before opening the box. Inside I was greeted with a CD case and a note. Wanting to investigate further, I picked up the note and quickly recognised the writing - it was from my friend Alex, whom I hadn't heard from in two weeks. However, it looked kind of rushed and scrawly, as if they had written the note in a hurry.

Dearest April,

I'm sorry, but I just can't take it anymore. I just have to get rid of this THING somehow before it is too late, and I'm going to ask you to do it for me. I couldn't do it myself - she's after me, and if you know what's good yourself you'll destroy this CD before she gets you, too.

Please… it's too late for me. Just… just destroy this god-forsaken disc before SHE comes after you, too. It's too late for me. If you destroy the disc you'll destroy her too. But do it quickly or she'll catch you, and for the love of all that is holy DO NOT attempt to see what's on the disc - that's what she wants. Just, destroy it. Please.

- Alex

Huh. That was weird. I mean… Alex IS my best friend. We've known each other since we were in diapers. We may not have seen each other in two weeks but… I didn't do what she asked in the note. I mean, it was just a simple CD. What harm could one of those do? Oh, if I had known just what I was in store for…

Anyways, I looked the disc over and it looked like any old blank CD you might find at the store, but scrawled on one side in black marker were the words " ". Below the text was a crudely drawn image of Sid Chang, Ronnie Anne's friend from season 4 of The Loud House . And the writing looked very much unlike Alex's writing, so I guess they got it from Amazon or a pawn shop or something. But now I was curious as to what was on this disc - and I figured, might as well satiate my curiosity!

So after shutting the TV off I took the disc upstairs to my bedroom, booted up my computer and loaded the disc in. After a few seconds I opened the contents of the disc, and I was greeted by what looked to be an old-school installation wizard for a game. Cool - this looked interesting! So I went ahead and installed the game, and I wasted no time opening it. And once the game started up I was greeted with a compilation of clips starring Sid Chang herself! I watched on in curiosity as the clips played, and right at the end there was a scene where Sid stopped in the centre of the screen just in front of the Casagrandes' bodega, that family just behind her, and waved cheerfully at the screen just above a logo reading "SID'S ADVENTURE", that was similar in aesthetic to the logo of The Casagrandes but with a blue and brown colour scheme befitting Sid. I couldn't help but imagine that I was in for a treat.

But then… All of a sudden just before the music ended there was a split second where this opening movie's image changed to something much different - something that I now consider horrifying - before cutting to black.

I don't know how, but that horrifying split-second image somehow managed to sear itself into my brain when I laid eyes on it. I remember what changed all too well - the Casagrandes were gone (save for a stake which Ronnie Anne's severed head was impaled on), the sky had turned into a dark red colour and blood stains covered the front walls of the bodega.

But what freaked me out the most was Sid Chang herself. Her clothes and headband had darkened in colour, her eyes were jet black and bleeding with two glowing red dots that I swear were staring into my very soul, and her cheerful smile had been replaced with a closed-mouth smirk that extended up to the edge of her face. When I first saw that image I was… rather disturbed, to say the least, but since it was only on-screen for a split second I quickly dismissed it as a glitch. After about ten seconds of a black screen, I was greeted with what seemed to be a file select screen. The background was an endless sea of dark red clouds (all drawn in the Loud House art style, of course), and there were three files available. Lincoln Loud himself was posing in the frame of the first file, Ronnie Anne Santiago in the second and Clyde McBride in the third. Above each character, there seemed to be a TV screen that only displayed endless red static. I was, needless to say confused, both at why the game creator would choose an aesthetic like this and why Sid didn't seem to be playable when both the title and opening movie featured her, but I just decided to soldier on. So I picked the first file, featuring Lincoln, and the screen froze up for about five seconds.

That's when I first heard it. I heard a pixelated laugh that sounded like a pixelated version of the Kefka laugh from Final Fantasy before the screen cut to black. After a few more seconds of black, I was greeted with white text that read "WOODS, ROUND 1", and then the screen faded to what seemed to be a view of Franklin Avenue, with Lincoln standing in front of the Loud house. Behind him were two signs indicating how to control him - the arrow keys to move and the spacebar to jump. Ahead I could see I was in for a bit of platforming. The background music was interesting - it kind of sounded like a peaceful melody being played in reverse. So anyways, I started playing. I got Lincoln through the platforming segment, and just as I reached the end I saw something that shocked me. It was a small squirrel, lying dead on the ground bleeding from its mouth. Lincoln seemed to be shocked as well as saddened by this if his face was anything to go by.

I just had him proceed and we headed down the now-flat street, where there lay more dead animals all looking like someone killed them and mutilated their corpses in various ways. A bird had been hanged on a tree by its intestines, a small dog had had all four of its limbs torn off and a cat had had its eyes gouged out and its throat slit. I couldn't help but feel a little sick to my stomach upon seeing this massacre and apparently so did Lincoln. After a few seconds of trekking through this scene, we didn't see any more dead animals. The music also seems to have stopped. I urged Lincoln on.

After about thirty seconds' worth of trekking Lincoln came up a small hill and then abruptly stopped; I was confused but then I saw why. Sid Chang was on the other side of the screen, facing away from Lincoln with her eyes closed. He looked happy to see her but then the smile on his face faltered since Sid wasn't responding to any of his attempts to communicate with her - instead she just stood there, oblivious to his presence. At this point Lincoln began walking ever so closer to Sid, and I decided this was probably a cutscene since I wasn't touching the keyboard during any of this.

What was apparent by now was that a foreboding feeling of dread had manifested in my gut as Lincoln edged closer to Sid. The feeling grew stronger and stronger as the gap between them closed, and was accompanied by static noise that grew louder and louder as Lincoln approached. Eventually Lincoln reached Sid and stuck his hand out to touch her.

And then Sid's eyes suddenly snapped open, and I kid you not - they were pitch black and bleeding with those glowing red dots, just like in that split-second frame! And then both the screen and the static noise gave way to a silent black screen, which hung there for three seconds before white words appeared.

HELLO. DO YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH ME?

I was creeped out by now and my gut was telling me I shouldn't continue, but curiosity got the better of me when text appeared stating "HIDE AND SEEK" and I was taken to a new level. This level took the background appearance of a pine forest on fire, the night sky illuminated by the warm reds and oranges of the burning trees and punctuated by a creepy-sounding ambience. Lincoln now looked genuinely scared out of his wits and was looking at the screen wide-eyed, frantically pointing to the right as if he wanted me to get him out of here as fast as possible. I was further freaked out by this and promptly held down the right key to have Lincoln run that way.

After a few seconds of running, I heard that creepy pixelated Kefka laugh again and ghostly images of Sid began flashing all over the screen, all with those black, bleeding eyes and also the dark clothing she wore in the split-second image.

The creepy ambience suddenly gave way to the drowning jingle from the classic Sonic games as I saw Sid, once more with those black eyes, begin gaining on Lincoln from behind, and to my surprise she wasn't running - she was actually flying! FLYING! Her body was level with the ground, her arm was outstretched and Sid had the most deranged-looking grin plastered on her face, as if she enjoyed the torment she was giving poor Lincoln.

But just as Sid was about to catch Lincoln the Loud boy tripped on a small rock and Sid vanished. Lincoln soon picked himself back up, and the Loud boy just… started crying then and there. It broke my heart a little seeing my favourite fictional white-haired kid just sobbing. But then Sid reappeared right in front of Lincoln, and he looked up in horror, his face turning pale. Blood dripped down from Sid's eyes as a grin slowly grew on her face. I could do nothing but watch on helplessly.

And then… then… Sid abruptly lunged at Lincoln and just before she connected with him the screen turned black once more as I heard Lincoln scream, a scream which was cut off by a splatter noise… and then silence. More text appeared.

YOU'RE TOO SLOW. WANT TO TRY AGAIN?

I… I was just shocked. Did… Did Sid just… murder Lincoln?! No, she wouldn't… she couldn't… she and Lincoln are friends… right? Right? I was snapped out of my thoughts by that god-awful laugh playing once more.

And then I was taken back to the file select screen. It was mostly the same, but the save file that held Lincoln looked different. He no longer appeared in the frame of the file but in the TV screen, still flickering with that red static, and he looked quite a bit different. His skin had turned a pale grey, his clothes darkened and tattered, his eyes were black and bleeding like Sid's, and his face had a look of anguish on it. I tried to ignore it, so I switched over to Ronnie Anne's file and selected her next.

The screen turned black, that demonic laugh echoed through my soul again, and another level intro came up. "YOU CAN'T RUN". I wasn't sure if the game creator was just trying to be scary or pulling some sick joke, but I summoned whatever courage I had and continued on.

When the level began Ronnie Anne found herself in a new locale. The background consisted of those same clouds from the file select screen, and the ground had a mechanical look to it. There were signs on how to control her similar to those in Lincoln's level, but the spacebar was not for jumping but instead punching. The music, meanwhile, sounded like Giygas's theme right after you defeat Pokey in Earthbound . Ronnie had a look on her face, but it was more unnerved than scared. Her look screamed to me "I'm not sure about going on" but I had her proceed forward anyways.

After a few seconds' worth of Ronnie Anne running down the metallic ground the screen began flickering with red static, coupled with that maddening laugh once more. And then I noticed blood stains had appeared on the metal surface. Once more that feeling of dread in my gut surfaced as my instincts were telling me something bad was going to happen to Ronnie.

And my instincts were right - Sid suddenly appeared out of nowhere in front of Ronnie Anne with those black eyes and dark clothing, and then more red static took over my screen before it gave way to more black, complete with another message:

FoUNd YOu!

I was now actually scared for Ronnie Anne. The red static appeared again before I was back in the level, and then Sid appeared behind Ronnie, cloaked in what appeared to be pixelated black smoke, punctuated by the high-pitched squealing from Silent Hill 1 's final boss. I had Ronnie turn and attempt to punch Sid, but she vanished in a puff of smoke before I could land a hit, that laugh playing as she did. Then she appeared again behind Ronnie and I attempted to punch her again, but she simply vanished again, that laugh eating away at me. Again and again Sid appeared behind Ronnie and every attempt to punch her was dodged with that laugh. By now Ronnie was panicking and I thought I was going a little crazy too. Sid was basically playing sick, twisted mind games with the both of us, and she seemed to enjoy it.

Eventually Ronnie Anne just… gave up. She sank to her knees and began sobbing, and I could feel tears welling up in the corners of my eyes too. And then Sid appeared again with a malicious grin on her face. She was driving us BOTH crazy, bit by bit.

And then Sid lunged at Ronnie Anne and once more the screen went black as Ronnie Anne screamed before a splatter silenced her. And then another message.

SO MANY SOULS TO PLAY WITH… SO LITTLE TIME. WOULDN'T YOU AGREE?

Just… just what the hell was going on? Was Sid trying to talk to me through the game? I considered that possibility, but I was too scared to come to a conclusion.

Once more I was brought back to the file select screen. This time Ronnie Anne was no longer on the file but on the TV screen just like Lincoln. Her skin had turned grey, her clothes were darkened and tattered, her eyes were black and bleeding like Sid's, and her ponytail was dripping with blood. She also had a look of resigned sadness on her face. I wanted to try and convince myself those weren't the actual characters trapped in the TV screens, but… I just couldn't convince myself of that.

I decided at this point I probably needed a break. So I shut off my computer and after mulling on what to do, I found myself plopping down on my bed and taking a nap… but I wish I hadn't, for I remember having one of the most vivid nightmares I have ever experienced. It began like your typical nightmare - I found myself on a floor in what seemed to be pitch-black darkness, only illuminated by the light of a lamp hanging above my head. The silence was occasionally interrupted by Lincoln and Ronnie Anne calling out to me from who-knows-where, saying things like "Help us…", "Why did you give us to him?" and "Run away before he gets you too…"

But those cries were soon cut off by that horrible laugh, and I heard Sid's voice. My head snapped around as I tried to locate its source

"You're a lot of fun to play with, kid. Just like your friend Alex, but I'm afraid they didn't last long."

I tried to run away but I was paralysed by fear as I saw Sid, eyes closed, stepping out of the darkness towards me as she spoke, flickering in and out in several directions.

"You can't run, kid, for you're in MY world now, kid. Just like Alex and the others. Won't be long until you join them."

Then she grabbed me by the throat and hoisted me into the air, and her eyes opened to reveal those black, bleeding orbs… and then I jolted awake with a fright.

A couple of hours passed and I just sat there, trembling in shock. Eventually, I was able to break out of my fear-induced paralysis and move again. Now if I had been smart I would've destroyed the cursed disc then and there, but I was an idiot and I decided to try and figure out why this was happening. So I booted up my computer and the game and selected Clyde's file. A new level title appeared. "...".

And then Clyde's level was revealed. It took the form of some type of hallway, with a shiny floor covered in hexagon-shaped tiles. The walls were made up of dark purple bricks with various decorative carvings and occasional Greek-style columns, and animated candlelights and dark bloodstains peppered those walls. At the top of the screen was a dark red curtain, swaying gently. The music was interesting, it was basically the music of the first part of Lincoln's level, but not in reverse.

Clyde didn't look entirely nervous - he just had a suspicious look on his face as if he was a bit paranoid. I wasn't sure if that would be in character for him, but I shrugged it off as I held right to have him proceed down the hallway, even if I was a little scared about what would happen to him. Eventually we came to a flight of stairs and I had Clyde descend them. As I descended the stairs I noticed the background had shifted in colour - the purple bricks were now wine red and the candle flames were now an eerie blue. Clyde soon landed on another hallway before another flight of stairs, and this flight was much longer. I think it took a full one minute to descend. By the time we got to the bottom the background colours had changed again. Now the walls were crimson and the candle flames black. Now Clyde looked genuinely creeped out but he was trying to hide it and I couldn;t blame him - I was scared myself.

And then out of nowhere Sid suddenly appeared in front of Clyde like she did with Ronnie Anne, but it didn't last long before the screen cut to red static that soon gave way to a most unpleasant image.

The image depicted Sid, now rendered in a hyper realistic-looking style, standing in darkness in a way where you could only see her head and upper torso, whilst the rest of her body faded into black. Now when I say hyper-realistic, I say that she looked as if she was a real person, so real you could see the individual hairs on her head and the texture of the fabric on her clothing.

And her face… oh God it was contorted into one of the most horrifying smiles I'd ever seen, and considering how scary she already was that's saying quite a bit.

Once more her eyes were black and crying blood, with two glowing red dots piercing my soul, and her grin was wide and demonic, stretching up to the edges of her face like the Cheshire Cat's. And her teeth had been sharpened into yellowish fangs stained with blood and pieces of flesh, as if she had been eating bits of animal.

I was just paralysed from what I had seen, so I couldn't help but stare at the image for thirty seconds, even though it only took ten seconds to etch itself into my mind. Then the screen flickered with red static three times, and the third flash was partnered with that awful laugh, but now it was slowed and pitched down so it sounded almost demonic.

Then it went back to the hyper-realistic image of Sid, but now it had text. And that text… I thought I had seen horror, this text was the most horrifying thing of them all. You wanna know what it said?

"I AM GOD."

When I read that message… that's when it finally struck me what was going on.

This Sid Chang… was nothing more than a monster. A sick, twisted, nightmarish, hellish, every-evil-adjective out there monster, and all of her victims… Lincoln… Ronnie Anne… Clyde… hell probably even Alex… were just toys for her to play with, and the game… it's nothing more than the gateway to a chaotic nightmarish world… the very HELL her victims are trapped in.

But then Sid abruptly lunged at the screen, screeching loudly and opening her mouth unnaturally to the point I could see deep into her throat, revealing nothing but a black swirling abyss of pure darkness, and I found myself screaming and putting my arms up in self-defence before red static took over my screen again, much louder and distorted this time, and for a good seven seconds I found myself covering my ears as the noise of the static pierced the air.

And then when it finally cleared a black screen appeared once more, followed by one last piece of text.

"READY FOR ROUND TWO, APRIL?"

Once more the Kefka laugh played, but now it sounded much clearer as if Sid was directly behind me. And then I was booted back to the file select one last time. Now Clyde was trapped in the TV screen too. Like the others his skin had turned grey and his black curly hair was matted with blood. His glasses were cracked and his eyes were black and bleeding. His expression just looked like one of hopelessness. I couldn't help to tear up for the three friends, for the agony they were now going through, and how they were now at Sid's mercy, trapped with her as her playthings… likely forever.

And then I suddenly heard a loud bang and my computer abruptly shut off. I tried several attempts to turn it back on, all of them failing. But I soon just gave up and put my face into my hands.

I always wondered who the personification of evil was when I was younger. I initially thought it was Hitler, but I was wrong. The personification of evil is a demon taking the form of a Chinese-American girl, who tortures people who play her game in more ways than one. Then when she gets bored with you she drags you into her game so you can be her toy until the end of time.

After just sitting there traumatised for like, thirty seconds or something I suddenly heard a voice.

"Try to keep this interesting for me, April."

I turned to see where the voice came from, only to see something that made me scream.

Sitting on my bed… was a plushie of Sid Chang… smiling… with blood stains underneath its eyes.
