After what happened at home, Izuku and his mother went to the doctor's office to see if his quirk had finally activated.
The results show that Izuku does not have a quirk factor, yet he clearly possesses one.
They decided to call it telekinesis because they thought it was a more appropriate name for the new quirk.
Izuku showed his mother the video that he had recorded the previous day.
Izuku and Inko had thought that it was possible that the thing gave him his new power, so they decided to see its limits.
Dagobah Beach
"So, we have to keep testing what I can do while training my body for One For All?" asked Izuku.
"Yes, and we need to find a new training regime since the previous one was designed for your body only, but now that you have powers of your own, we also have to focus on those as well," All Might explained.
"Okay, can you help me find something to start with, please?"
Izuku asked.
Allmight reached into his back pocket and pulled out a baseball.
All Might prepared to throw the ball as Izuku yelled.
"Wait!! Are you really going to throw it at me??"
"Don't worry, I won't go all out, I'll only use about 3% of my power, k?" said Allmight as he stretched a bit.
"That's still too much!!!" Izuku yelled as he started to regret asking for his help.
"Fine, look, I'll go into my skinny form and I won't throw it that hard, besides, it's a cheap ball so it won't hurt," Allmight said as a puff of smoke appeared around him as he went into his Skinny Might form.
"Fine, just try to go easy, okay?" Izuku said as he got into position and crouched with his head forward.
Allmight threw the ball but it just hit Izuku's face gently.
"You know what?... That didn't really hurt," Izuku said as he rubbed his nose where the ball had hit.
Izuku then picked the ball up and passed it to Allmight as they both got ready again.
They tried again, but the ball hit him once more.
They tried until they were both confused, and for the first time since they were there, Inko spoke up.
"Izu, what are you doing?"
Izuku looked at his mother and said, "I'm trying to activate my quirk." He spoke in a confused tone.
"No, I mean what are you doing to try and activate it?"
Asked Inko
"I'm trying to imagine the ball stopping," said Izuku.
"That's not how it works, Izu," Inko said with a small smile.
"Doesn't that work for you?" asked Izuku.
"Not at all, Izuku," said Inko.
"Imagine yourself grasping the object with your hands."
said Inko.
The next time All Might threw the ball, Izuku managed to stop it right in front of his face.
Izuku stared at the ball in front of him, slowly bringing it closer and then moving it away from his face as he concentrated.
Inko smiled as Izuku tossed the ball to All Might, who then threw it back.
They played around for a while until Izuku understood how to use his powers properly.
Then they got out Legos and Izuku tried to put them together using his quirk, managing to make a Star Wars ship.
Izuku then tried to pick up the trash at the beach, unconsciously getting stronger with every piece of trash he picked up.
Izuku then tried to pick up a broken car and immediately regretted it as soon as he moved it to a parking spot, his nose started to bleed.
Inko ran to his side as he took his shirt off and used it to try and clean his nose.
All Might took out a box of paper towels from seemingly nowhere and handed it to Izuku.
"Thanks, where do you keep those towels by the way?" said Izuku as he cleaned his nose with the towel, feeling the blood stop and keeping it there just in case.
"The store that's right beside the apartment I'm in at the moment," Allmight said with a smile.
No, I mean where in your body, are your pockets just big enough that a whole console can fit in there? asked Izuku with a smile.
"Actually, I once fit a television in my pocket," Allmight said with a smile, "it was a small TV, but still."
"You over did it." said Inko.
"What do you mean?" asked Izuku.
"It's like a muscle; if you stretch it too far too quickly, it tears," Inko explained. "You need to work it out just enough so you don't tear it too much."
Later that day, when the Midoriyas arrived home, they both ate dinner and then went to bed.
One day while Izuku was training his quirk, he saw a young girl walking by the park. Then he noticed some men following her. He decided to follow them in case they tried to rob her.
Right after they turned a corner, the men pulled the girl into an alley and pointed a gun at her.
"Look at what we found here, boys," said a man with a red eye and blue hair.
The man with the gun said, "Hand over the bag and the pearls," as he approached with his gun.
"No, get away, I don't want any trouble," said the girl as she slowly moved away.
The man growled and ordered one of his men to strike her.
There were 12 men in total.
The man with blond hair and sharp teeth stepped up and attempted to strike the girl, who appeared as though she was about to fight back until the man attacked her.
Izuku stood at the end of the alley, deciding to put an end to it.
He put his arms up as the men were all pulled towards him and Izuku pushed them into each other and the walls, until the men were all unconscious.
The woman already had a weapon in her hand as she stared in surprise at Izuku.
"Are you okay?" he asked as he slowly approached the girl. She nodded with teary eyes and hugged Izuku.
Izuku hugged her back and rubbed the girl's back as he said, "It's okay, you're fine now."
Suddenly, the blonde man got up and yelled, "Hey, you jerk!"
Izuku turned around as the man hurled a knife towards him.
Izuku had only a second to think as he attempted a technique he hoped would work.
As the knife hit his head, it bent and fell to the ground.
The man seemed to get into a fighting stance again until Izuku decided to throw him into the wall again until he stopped moving.
The man was still breathing, but he was unconscious.
After that, the kids decided to call the police, and they stayed together until they arrived.
The two teenagers decided to engage in a brief conversation until the police arrived.
"Hey, what's your name?" asked Izuku as he sat down next to the girl, who was sitting against the wall.
"Mina Ashido," she replied.
"Izuku, Izuku Midoriya. Nice to meet you," said Izuku as he stretched out his hand.
The girl shook it and smiled a bit.
"That's a pretty name." she said.
"Thanks, so is yours." said Izuku.
The girl appeared to have pink skin, and two horns on the top of her head.
"I haven't seen you here before, are you new?" asked Izuku as he noticed the girl starting to calm down.
The girl replied, "Yes, actually, I just moved here because it's closer to U.A." She was still a bit shaken from the situation.
"Oh, are you also trying out for U.A.?" asked Izuku.
"Yes, I hope I get in; what about you?" Mina asked.
"Same here, I'm trying out for the Hero Course. I've always admired heroes and have been training like crazy to try and get in."
"Wow, I am also attempting the hero course."
They continued speaking until the police officers arrived.
Izuku told the police what had happened, and they decided to let him go free since the girl was unharmed, but they did tell him not to use his quirk again without a license in public.
"Hey, thank you so much for saving me from those freaks. Is there anything I can do to show my gratitude?" asked Mina.
"No, it's fine, I didn't do it for a reward, I did it because you seemed like you needed my help," replied Izuku, happy to see the girl unharmed.
"Aw, but I kinda really wanna do something to thank you. I'll feel bad if I don't," she told Izuku with a smile.
Izuku decided to accept her offer and she took him to a restaurant.
"So, what do you do for fun?" Mina asked Izuku.
They were currently at a restaurant eating burgers and fries; they both ordered the same thing and they both had apple sodas.
"Um...well, I...I don't know if I should say," Izuku replied with a small blush.
Mina just stared at him so Izuku decided to tell her his weird hobby.
"I uh... take notes and drawings of heroes. I like to write about their quirks and their skills, their fighting styles, and other stuff."
"Wow, that's not weird, I think it's pretty cool actually," Mina said with a small smile.
Izuku was surprised but he smiled and thanked her with a noticable blush on his face.
"What do you enjoy doing?"
Mina smiled and said, "I like to dance a lot. I learned how to when I was about 7."
They continued conversing for some time before deciding to depart.
After paying for their food, they walked back to the beach.
"Would you like me to walk you home?" asked Izuku, worried that she might get attacked again.
"Yeah, it's pretty close from here actually. I live alone at the moment," replied Mina.
"Oh, ok" said Izuku.
He decided to walk her home; after they arrived, they exchanged phone numbers and said their goodbyes.
Izuku walked home quietly, pondering over the events of the day.
Then it dawned on him like a revelation.
"I just talked to a girl...And got her number..." thought Izuku as he suddently stopped walking.
Izuku stood there for about 10 minutes before his phone vibrated.
When he saw who was calling, he realized it was his mother asking when he would be getting home.
Izuku sprinted as quickly as possible towards his home.
The rest of the school year flew by quickly, and so did the summer. Izuku and Mina continued talking almost every day, and they seemed to talk for hours each time.
Izuku had noticed that his childhood friend Katsuma had been...nicer...to him since the Sludge Villain incident.
Sure she screamed at him afterwards that she didn't need his help, but after that she didn't scream again, not at him at least.
He noticed that she even avoided him at times.
Izuku was confused, but he did not give it much thought.
He tought of it as her thanking him.
Then suddenly the day came when Izuku received All Might's quirk.
Dagoba beach Day of the entrance Exam of U.A.
All Might parked his car near the beach and locked it before walking over to check on how his successor was doing.
As he got closer to the beach, he noticed that there was no trash around. He became concerned for a moment, thinking he might have taken a wrong turn, until he saw a giant pile of trash on his right.
He looked at it and saw Young Midoriya lying on top of the pile, panting.
All Might just stared at his successor with a big smile on his face.
Izuku stared at the trash, then at the beach as he let out a loud, confident roar as the trash around him was crushed.
"Oh..my.. Goodness!!" yelled Allmight as he activated his quirk through out his whole body mid sentence.
Izuku gradually began tilting backward as he fell.
All Might ran to catch him, but Izuku floated slowly to the ground near him.
All Might remembered the day when Izuku had shown him his new ability.
Flashback from 2 months ago.
"Hmm, why would young Midoriya call us to this specific spot if he wasn't going to be here? I mean, I saw his bag of clothes on the way, so he must be close."
As All Might thought this, with Inko by his side, his phone suddenly rang with a notification.
He saw that it was a message from Izuku that read, "Look up."
All Might and Inko both did just that when they saw Izuku floating there.
"Hello guys," Izuku said in a sing-song voice as All Might and Inko yelped in surprise.
"Young Midoriya"
"Izuku"
All Might and Inko said at the same time.
"How are you..flying??" asked Allmight.
"When did you learn how to fly?" his mother inquired.
"Wait wait, it's much easier than it looks; don't worry, it's much more easy than it looks."
Flashback end.
"Young man, you truly are remarkable," Allmight exclaimed with a smile.
"You even cleaned outside the area we agreed on," Allmight said.
Izuku just smiled and stood up straight, sweat dripping from his brow.
"Someone wise once said to me that there is a difference between being lucky, and being deserving, one is an accident, and the other is a reward, take that to heart young man," Allmight said.
"It..doesn't feel real. It kinda feels like cheating." said Izuku.
"Young man, you have worked hard to earn this power, harder than anyone else. Most people are born powerful, but you have earned this power. It's time to put that power in your hands," Allmight said.
All Might then plucked out a strand of his hair and said with a big smile, "Eat this."
Izuku just stared at All Might, confused and worried that the past few months had been a joke.
"What?"
"In order to get my quirk you have to ingest some of my D N A that's how it works!!" said Allmight
"Oh, that makes sense now," Izuku said, relieved. "And I guess that hair is the least disgusting option."
"Yes, unless you want to drink my blood," Allmight replied jokingly.
"That would be much easier, but beggars can't be choosers," said Izuku as he grabbed the hair.
He stared at it for a moment before making it into a ball and putting it in his mouth.
He nearly gagged at the taste, but he swallowed it anyway.
"Hm...I don't feel anything," Izuku said, sounding confused.
Allmight replied, "That's because you need to wait for it to digest before using it."
"Now, hurry up; there are only a few hours left before the exam, and you need to prepare yourself."
"Oh right!! I need to get home quick, Thanks Allmight!!!" said Izuku as he ran towards his home.
U.A entrance exams
Izuku was now standing infront of the U.A entrance gate.
"I'm really here...wow...I know I already met All Might but-" Izuku's train of thought was interrupted by someone bumping roughly into his shoulder.
"Move it, Deku!," yelled a female voice.
"K-Kachan!! H-Hello, L-Let's do our best today, o-okay?" said Izuku as he shook a bit.
Katsuma A.K.A Kachan, Bakugo ignored Izuku's greeting as she said. "Don't get in my way in the exams nerd.." and got into the building.
"Sure, no problem," replied Izuku.
Katsuma was a mean girl, and Izuku's childhood best friend turned bully. She had long spiky blonde hair in a ponytail that reached her shoulders. She had a nice build for someone her age, in Izuku's opinion, though he wouldn't say it to her, or anyone for that matter.
She wore her middle school clothes and had a scowl on her face.
Izuku shook off his nerves and walked forward. Only to trip over a raised piece of brick on the floor.
Before he could hit the ground painfully, he suddenly found himself floating in midair.
"Sorry I used my quirk on you, but it would be bad luck if you fell, right?" said a new girl standing next to him.
Izuku looked to his side to see a girl with a bob cut and a permanent blush on both of her cheeks.
She seemed to have pads on the tips of her fingers on both hands and she put her hands together as she said, "Release!"
Izuku fell to the ground on his feet as he stared at the girl blushing.
"Well, good luck." the girl said as she walked away into the building.
Izuku just stared at her as he thouht to himself, "I just talked to a girl! Again"
(Author's note, the reason he was normal around Mina is bcause he had just savd her from the villans and his hero mode was on)
Izuku entered the building and searched for his seat in the U.A. auditorium. He sat down next to Katsuma.
Katsuma appeared to be angry, but she had a small smile that no one could see.
As Izuku sat down, the explanation began.
After the presentation.
Izuku stood in front of the Ground B gate as he stretched and thought about what had happened in the auditorium.
Flash back
"Excuse me, sir!," yelled a tall blue-haired boy.
"You only talked about 3 of the robots shown, but the pamphlet that was given to us clearly shows 4 robots. If this is an error made by the faculty, then U.A should be ashamed. And you!!", said the boy, pointing at Izuku.
"The boy with the unkempt hair! Stop muttering, you are very distracting to us who want to get in! If this is a joke to you, then I suggest that you leave!" he yelled again.
"Sorry," Izuku whispered, clasping his mouth.
After that, the presenter, Present Mic, began explaining the fourth type of robot.
Flashback end
As Izuku thought about the events, he saw the girl who saved him. As he was making his way to her to thank her, he felt something behind him. He felt a small push at his shoulder so he moved away from it and kept walking, but unknown to him, the blue haired kid who had called him out almost tripped as he was about to put his hand on the other boy's shoulder.
Izuku continued walking until he reached the girl and said, "Hey, I just wanted to thank you for saving me from falling earlier. I was very nervous and didn't notice the brick was misplaced."
"Oh, you're the guy who got called out during the presentation; that other guy was a jerk," said the girl.
"Y-yea, that's me, I'm Izuku Midoriya" said Izuku with a blush.
"I'm Ochako Uraraka, I hope we both try our best," Ochako Uraraka was interrupted by Present as he loudly exclaimed, "And START!!!"
Ochako loooked back to see that Izuku was gone.
Everyone else appeared to be confused and simply stood still.
"What are you doing?! There are no countdowns in real battles, GO GO GO!!!
Everyone else suddenly started to run towards the exam gate, but when they got there they saw a massacre of robots all around the exam area.
There was a 1 pointer ripped in half and a 2 pointer with an arm through its chest right beside it.
Half of the other robot seemed to have been torn into shreds all over the exam area.
One of the robots was pierced through by another one.
Suddenly everyone saw 3 2 pointers heading towards them, but they were suddenly crushed into the floor.
The two pointers were suddenly thrown to the side into a pile of three pointers, revealing the green-haired boy who had been called out during the presentation with a sheepish smile as he said, "Oh..s-sorry.."
Suddenly, he flew away, presumably to find more robots, but they didn't notice him as they were too busy searching for more robots to battle.
Izuku was flying around looking for more robots to fight when he saw a purple-haired boy being ganged up on by some 2-pointers, so he decided to help him.
He landed on the ground in front of the boy with a crash, and rocks floated around him.
Izuku then threw the rocks at the robots, causing them to fall to the ground, unable to move.
He then turned to the guy with a sharp metal object in his hand.
He gave the sharp metal to the boy and said, "Use this to disable the robots. I didn't destroy them, so they should still count."
The other guy just stared at Izuku as he walked away.
"Uh...thanks. I guess..." said the boy.
Izuku continued to fly around the examination area, battling robots and assisting anyone in need.
Suddenly, the ground began to shake, and people ran away from something. Everyone screamed as debris flew in every direction.
Izuku was standing near a building when he felt the ground shaking beneath his feet.
He turned around to see everyone running from something; he was confused because he couldn't see what they were fleeing from.
He saw a peace of rubble coming at his direction, as the peace of rubble got closer, Izuku didn't even move as he titled his head to the left as the rubble flew to the side, not hitting anyone.
When the peace was moved out of the way, Izuku saw a huge hand grab onto the side of a building, the building breaking at its touch.
"Oh... so that's why they're running," thought Izuku. Suddenly, the head of the robot rose upward, and the robot began marching forward.
The blue-haired boy from earlier ran by, glancing at Izuku.
"Is that the 0 pointer?" asked Izuku to himself.
He was about to fly away when he then heard a familiar voice behind him. "Ouch!!"
Izuku quickly turned around to see Uraraka trapped beneath some rubble.
Izuku flew at her, he was about to reach her when he saw the 0 pointer's arm about to punch her.
Izuku tried to move the rubble off of her as he flew, but he only managed to move the larger pieces.
A few minutes earlier
Ochako was doing just fine as she ranked up about 43 villain points when she heard a crash followed by screaming.
She turned around to see people running from something.
She ran toward the danger to see if everything was all right and help whoever needed assistance.
She managed to help some people get out of the rubble, when suddenly she saw the zero pointer walking towards her. She was about to run away when a piece of a building fell on her ankle.
"Ouch!!!" she yelled.
She attempted to make it levitate, however, it was too heavy for her to utilize her quirk on it.
Ochako attempted to scream for help, but she could only moan in pain and panic as she found herself unable to move her left leg at all.
She tried to move the piece as hard as she could, but the peace would not move at all.
Ochako heard someone yell, so she turned in its direction and saw Izuku flying towards her.
She then heard something from above and she thought it was the 0 pointer.
She closed her eyes, anticipating the impact; however, it never arrived.
Izuku groaned as he stretched his arms out towards the robot's hand.
He appeared to struggle as he was surrounded by green lightning.
Izuku suddently started to glow a bright blue color that was affecting his lightning.
He then stood up straighter and started to float as he threw his arms up.
When he did that, the 0 pointer tilted backwards an Izuku flew up.
Izuku acted as if he had done it before.
He flew above the 0 pointer as he put his hands up and down towards it as a powerful wave of lightining hit the robot.
The 0 pointer exploded into pieces that flew everywhere.
Ochako covered her eyes as she thought she was about to be hit when a green lighting bubble appeared around her, protecting her from the rubble.
The robot was then thrown up into the sky, while the explosion was being contained, frozen in time.
The robot then properly exploded in the sky as Izuku slowly fell.
Izuku no longer had the energy to use his quirk, and he fell rapidly.
He thought he was going to die when he felt a smack on his left cheek before passing out.
