It was the crack of dawn when Joe velasco felt his little girl climbing up onto him and his wife's bed. "Daddy" he heard the little girl. "What?" He groaned trying not to wake his wife up. "I wanna surprise mommy with breakfast for Mother's day" Bella said. Joe totally forgot it was mother's day until Bella had mentioned it he knew that Grace would be mad if he forgot so, he decided to go with Bella's idea. He checked the time on his alarm o'clock. It was around 6:15 am. "Give me five more minutes okay mija?" He said to Bella. After, five minutes he had gotten up. Bella was sitting up on the counter. "So, what do you think we should make mommy?" Joe asked. "I think we should make her chocolate chip pancakes, bacon and eggs" Bella said enthusiastically. Joe and Bella got to cooking.
Grace Muncy-Velasco was not used to sleeping in on weekends. So, it was a surprise when her alarm clock said 9:30. She rubbed her eyes and decided to go into kitchen. She thought she was having a storks when she smelt the aroma of freshly-cooked pancakes bacon and fresh fruit. "Happy Mother's day!" Bella and Joe both said in unison. "Thanks Bella Bug" she said while kissing her cheek and lips. "Hey! I don't get any kisses" Joe pouted to grace "I think he'll survive one day without kisses what do you think Bells?" She asked her daughter while laughing. "I think daddy will be fine" Bella said while giggling. "Okay, fine i guess i can survive one day without kisses" Joe said and then kissed his little girl. After Breakfast, Bella ran up to Grace with a red envelope decorated in sparkles and foamy letters that read "HAPPY MOTHERS DAY". "Thank you Baby" she said to her and kissed her on the cheek. Grace proceeded to open the envelope. It had been a Mother's day worksheet that Bella had done at school. So, she decided to read it. There were written prompts filled in with Bella's handwriting It read.

She teared up a little. She pretended to be smiling when Bella came up to her. "Did you like it?" Bella asked. "I loved it" she said while kissing her on the cheek. "Can i have a hug?" She asked Bella. "Yes Mama" Bella said. Grace wrapped her arms around her daughter "I love you so much" she said. "Thank you for your wonderful gift" she stated. She made sure that she hugged Bella tight. She knew this would be a mother's day she'd never forget.
