"Soo, you're meeting her again?" Donna asks with a smile.
"I am" he confirms smiling.
"She must be special"
"She is" he simple replies.
"yeah, she has to, if she gets to meet Harvey Specter again"
"what's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing… I just can't remember you having multiple dates with the same woman"
"She's different than the others" he smiles trying to convince her… or maybe he's trying to convince himself.
"I just hope you don't forget contraception" she says teasing, trying not to show how much his words hurt her.
"Donna" he says with a warning voice.
"What? I'm just trying to protect you"
"That's really kind of you… but I can do that perfectly myself"
"sure" she says sarcastically.
"How it comes that you can give me all the shit when I meet someone but I-"
She raises her index finger "That's because I'm Donna, live with it" she says and leaves the office.

Harvey just packs his things and wants to make his way to his date when Donna comes along.
"Hey" she says quietly. He can't see her because she's behind his back while he's putting his glass on his scotch table. "D'you have a minute?"
"Actually, I was just about to lea-" Harvey stops as he sees Donna. Her eyes are red from crying and she looks so vulnerable. He can't remember he's seen her ever like this before.
"Donna, what is it? What happened?" he asks worriedly.
"I'm sorry… your date, I completely forget about it. Have fun Harvey" she turns to leave.
"Donna stop, what's wrong with you?"
"really, it's alright Harvey, I'll tell you tomorrow" she says quietly, trying not to cry again.
"Donna please? You think I can go on a date and enjoy the evening when I know you're not fine?" he looks at her not waiting for an answer 'cause it was more a statement than a question.
"My dad… he's worse" she says and she can't hold back tears.
"He'll die" she whispers. "I wanted to fly over but there's no flight till tomorrow… I"
"Donna… I'm so sorry" he whispers pulling her in a hug and they stay like that for a little while, while she lets it all out. She feels like she can finally do it, in his arms. Every time he's with her she feels like everything will be okay. She believes him when he tells her that everything will be alright. She doesn't know why, but he has this ability to always calm her down, and to always take away the fear from her. Only his closeness makes her feel much better within a second.
She takes a deep breath and breaks the hug "thank you" she whispers and gives him a sad smile"
"you don't have to thank me for this Donna… never" he wipes a tear from her cheek.
"I wanna spend the last days with him… I take care of a replacement for you till I'm back"
"I don't care about that now, don't worry" he assures her gently "I'll handle it" he smiles at her "just focus on your dad. Come on, I'll pour us some drinks" he says and walks over to his table.
"No Harvey, she's waiting for you… you like her and-"
"I don't like her nearly as much as I like you and if she can't understand that a friend needs me, than she's not the right one for me anyway" he says firmly and she nods in agreement.
"Okay" she whispers.
They have some drinks and a lot of fun that night. They talk about different things but her father. For a few hours she can think of something else and is more than grateful for that to him.
A few days later
"Harvey" Donna says surprised when she sees him walking towards her.
"hey" he greets her pulling her in a hug
"I'm so sorry." he says gently "Are you okay?"
She nods "as well as I can be" she mutters
"what are you doing here?"
"Do you think I'd leave you alone?"
"You didn't have to come, Harvey. I know how much work is waiting for you in the firm"
"Don't worry about that, Mike took it over" he smiles "I mean, what's the sense of having an associate if you can't let him do your work?" She huffs a smile "Thank you"
"Are you ready?"
"No, but let's go. It's not like I have a choice" she says sadly and they make there way to the funural.
Harvey holds her hand all the time and squeezes it when he notices she's struggling. He encourages her to say a few words about him. Donna hesitates when she's standing in front of all the people but Harvey nods and gives her a smile in reassurenace, letting her know that she's not alone.
One week later
Donna's back in New York and she came back with a realization: she loves Harvey.
She's trying to get him out of his head for years but failed. After her father's dad she realized how fast everything can be over, she realized that she could also lose him… and this is something she just can't handle. She knows she has to tell him 'cause she can't pretend like everything's fine anymore. But she also knows that if she tells him, she'll lose him.
"what the hell should I do?" she asks herself.

"Hey?…" Donna looks up at Harvey "are you even listening to what I'm saying?" he asks
"uhm… I- I'm sorry… what did you say?"
"Donna what is it… your dad?" he asks softly.
She shakes her head "No" she whispers tearing the look from him.
"what then?"
"I don't know how to say it" she tells him "it could… it will ruin our friendship… and I- I can't lose you"
"Hey…" he gets up and sits next to her on the couch in his office "you should know by now that there's nothing in the world you could tell me that would lead to destroy our friendship" he looks at her. "What is it?" he asks quietly but also worried.
"I tried for years to deny it… I met other men, I went to work for Louis, I did a hell of a lot things but I just can't deny it anymore" she looks at him now "I love you Harvey" she says looking at him "I love you more than anyone else in the world"
Harvey's speechless to that. He can't get a word out, he just looks at her.
Donna nods "I'm sorry" she apologizes "I just wanted you to know… I'll pack my things and leave my letter of res-" he bents for and presses his lips on hers.
She obviously isn't expecting that 'cause she breaks the kiss. They look at each other for a few seconds and then start kissing again. They let their feelings run free. For the first time since the other time they're honest with what they're feeling and brave enough to show them to each other.
"Let's go at yours" she whispers
"to far away" he says between kisses… "we're alone"
"No… I saw Harold minutes ago… he's still here" she tells him not able to let go of him.
"Goddamn Hunderson" Harvey curses and pulls back "Then hurry up"

"Oh my god" this was… overwhelming" she says laying on her back while his arm is around her.
"You're welcome" he says smiling and she laughs "Your such an idiot" she turns to face him. He's so overwhelmed by how beautful she looks like.
"It was the best night of my life" he says tenderly while their noses are only inches away.
"Mine too"
Donna suddenly looks shocked at him
"What's wrong?"
"what about your…" Donna doesn't know how to call it. 'Date? girlfriend? Are they together in the meanwhile?, Did I interfere in his relationship and made him a man he never wanted to be?' thousand thoughts are in her head within seconds but Harvey stops them.
"I end it few days ago" he assures her "She was really nice but… not the one for me" he stops for a few seconds analyzing her face "You are the one"
A tear rolls down her face "I didn't want to make you cry" he says lovingly with a smile.
"I'm just so incredible happy… I didn't know how much I wanted to hear that"
They just lay there together for a few minutes till Harvey stars to speak again.
"what made you telling me?" She turns to face him and he puts his hand on her cheek and strokes it with his thumb.
"My father… after he died I realized how fast everything can end. My parents were married about 50 years and now… he's gone" she gulps trying to hold back the tears.
"My mom is desperate… she lost the one person she spent her life with and now she's alone"
"Hey" he whispers and wipes a tear from her face "She'll be okay… she isn't alone… she has you" he tries to comfort her but doesn't really know what to tell her
"She won't… 'cause I thought what if it had been you? I wouldn't be okay. It'd be the worst thing that could happen to me and only the thought of it makes it hard for me to breath. I realized that I love you more than I thought I would and that I can handle everything that life throws on my way but not losing you"
Harvey is almost overwhelmed by her words.
"you won't" he whispers and kisses her "I'm here now… and I'll stay here for the rest of our lives… I love you Donna, you're the only woman I really loved in my life. I was too afraid to tell you, 'cause I'd rather wanted you in my near and only as a friend than losing you completely 'cause I can also bear everything but not not having you in my life" he admits.
"I was terrified the last days. I knew that I could… would lose you when I tell you. But I couldn't have worked for you anymore like this. I couldn't sleep for days 'cause I knew I would lose you no matter what I do. If I'd leave to work for someone else, I would lose you and the same result what be if I tell you I love you. I just hoped that we'd figure out a way to stay friends"
"I'm really happy you told me… I would've never been that brave" he says honestly. Mike tried it so many times to convince me, I should've listened to him… but don't tell him he was right" he smiles.
"He'll know… prepare yourself for that" she smiles.
"When did you know?"
"Since Jessica fired you"
"what? That's months ago"
"Yeah… but like I said I was too afraid and you made it clear back then that you don't love me" they look at each other
"I lied… I was mad at you… at Louis… at the whole situation. I know it was my fault 'cause I screwed it up but… I hoped you'd fight for me."
"I did… I really did"
"I know" she assures him "that's why I'm back" she smiles.
"We really are idiots. We could've have it so much easier"
"Yeah… that's right. But it doesn't matter what was... all that matters is the here and now. And now I wanna stop talking" he smiles and starts kissing her.
"you really have great ideas sometimes"
"sometimes?"
"Just shut up and kiss me" she laughs.
