It had been one year since Morgana was defeated. And life in the kingdom of Oceano was great. Queen Ariel and King Eric had finally reunited with their dad/stepdad King Triton, ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantica, and their daughter Melody had just received a magic type of dust that could transform them all into merpeople whenever they wanted. All they had to do was just sprinkle the dust pon their legs and wish to be mermaids or a merman, and they would transform. The same thing would happen if they wanted to turn back, but instead of wishing to become merpeople, they had to wish to become human again, and they would immediately turn back. By now, it was May 13, the day where Melody was born and everyone in the kingdom was trying to figure out what to do for her birthday. Melody at this time was sleeping in her bed peacefully, when Ariel entered the room and gently woke her up.

"Melody? It's time to wake up. It's almost your birthday." Ariel spoked.

"Morning Mom." Melody greeted before she got up, walked over to her desk and began to brush her hair nervously.

Ariel could immediately see something was troubling her daughter so she walked over and asked, "Melody? Are you OK?"

"Yeah, but I'm nervous about my thirteenth party this year. What if I make a fool of myself like I did last year?" She asked nervously.

"Oh, Sweetie, the whole kingdom now knows about our adventures underwater. Nothing wrong is going to happen this year. We even got Chef Louies to take a break from cooking and have your birthday underwater instead." Ariel replied before covering her lips sheepishly as Melody brightened up.

"We're going underwater for my birthday?!" Melody asked in joy, while her mother nervously giggled.

"That was supposed to be a surprise honey. And besides, the party isn't until the day after tomorrow." Ariel said, even though Melody was still just as excited as before upon hearing this.

"That's only a few days away! Now come on Mom! Let's go get some breakfast so this day will go by faster to get to tomorrow!" Melody replied, which caused Ariel to giggle.

"Melody?" she called getting her daughter's attention.

"What?" Melody asked.

You forgot to put your hairbrush down." Ariel smirked.

"Oh! Sorry!" Melody exclaimed somewhat embarrassed as she set the hairbrush down on her desk, before she and her mother went downstairs for a breakfast of Raspberry Scones and some Milked Coffee for breakfast.

Little did they know however, that this birthday would change Melody's life in a way she never expected.
