A muffled huffing and moaning came from behind the closed door of the hall-closet. Two bodies connected under artificial lighting. The little lightbulb in the confided place shone harsh and otherworldly down on two lovers in the act, but without it the place was so dark they kept bumping into shelves and equipment.
He had set his feet firmly in front of one wall, hung with his back against the other. She was seated on his lap with her legs opened up and one knee planted beside her lover against the wall. She with him softly with his face buried between her breasts. Their sounds of pleasure were barely noticeable over the loud music playing on the ground floor, the sounds of a party soaring. Inside of the house balloons with long ribbons hang themselves against the ceiling by helium, outside in the garden colourful decorations were draped between trees and tall bamboo-rods stuck in the ground. It was all tastefully done, suiting the young adult crowd that had gathered here. Drinks and bites were served, and there was alcohol for those old enough.
The party had started that noon. People slowly dripped in and met familiars, drank in some courage to talk to unfamiliars. Most participants where in the garden, which was blossoming in the sprouting warmth of spring. The unfolding flowers that grew around the green field worked invigorating, spreading a delightful glow within those who dared to glance upon them.
Halfway the midday those flower inspired a white bat and a black hedgehog to slip away. Even though the beauty of nature had activated their primal desires, they were still civil enough to seek somewhere private. Such as a walk-in-closet on the second floor. Which had a door without a lock…
Rouge the bat had managed to find a way to keep unwanted visitors away by taking out the whole doorhandle, using the piece with the fitting on their side to carefully close them off. They tried leaving the light out, resulting in loud clattering of an ironing board falling over. While searching for the switch some cans and packages fell from their place. Fine, the lights had to stay on.
Shadow moved as much stuff to the shelve-filled back wall as possible while Rouge had undressed herself completely, hanging her clothing over the fold up ironing board. She had worn a more casual jumpsuit to the party, which turned out to not be the most convenient of clothings for such spontaneous dissipations. Released of any obstacles Shadow hugged in from behind. Wings pressed against his chest, his lips in her neck and hands on her breasts. Her tail perked up against his groin when he massaged her. When he felt her hardening up he let one hand travel down across her stomach. He loved to glide his fingers over of her velvety fur before reaching her lowest part, stroking her into deep breaths and moaning exhales. Shadow felt how wings wriggled against him, Rouge her head tilted and back arched the more he kneaded en rubbed between her folds.
Suddenly she took his hands away. Rouge pulled herself out of Shadow embrace by a gentle nudge of her wings, turned around and pressed the surprised hedgehog against the earlier emptied wall. In a cheeky move she grabbed his hand and pushed it back between her legs while she locked lips. One hand she rustled through the bushy white hair on his chest, the other she slid onto his butt. Down there she felt the hedgehog's tail wagging against her hand from excitement. The bat's own excitement rose rapidly now Shadow had better access to her lower region and she had actual lips to taste.
Rouge felt how she lost her selfcontrol now the only thing left on her mind was the man under her touch. His sensation, his actual taste when they both opened their mouths to enter the others. His tongue. His fangs. That hand between her legs. It was fantastic. Within no time Rouge had reached her first climax, gripping strongly onto Shadow, huffing her arousal within his mouth. But when the feeling faded Rouge wanted more. And she could feel he did too.
Words weren't needed: Rouge merely took her lips away, making Shadow open his eyes as well. Her look was enough, the further spreading of her legs even clearer. Shadow let her push him down a notch, sliding his back along the wall. How his quills would look after this was of later concern, for now his only mind was by how Rouge stood over him. The light hit her slightly from the back, cloaking her in shadows while she planted her knee beside him and taking him in herself. He gasped when he felt her coming down on him, now completely at her control. And while Shadow wrapped his arms around the bat's waist her breasts blinded him, jugging along with every push and pull she made.
The room around them was a sauna by then, heated up by their actions and depleted of most oxygen before they where even getting near the climax of their new position. The slight dizziness neither of them registered made them think less and act more: the audible outings of their pleasure were louder then expected when one doesn't want to get caught.
Suddenly Rouge leaned backwards with her ears perked up, alerted by a sound. "Someone's stopped by the door." She whispered, and a brief knocking followed.
"Keep moving!" Shadow commanded whoever was on the other side of the door.
"Didn't know it was you, Shads. Have fun, buddy! Hi Rouge." Sounded Sonic's voice teasingly. A chuckle reached the enclosed two, followed by footsteps leaving.
Rouge bursted out in laughter, releasing the build up tension of sneaking around and having to stay quiet. She quickly put her hand in front of her mouth, silencing herself while she kept snickering. The grumpy sounds that came from Shadow only made it funnier.
When Rouge had had herself back under control she talked silently to her partner. "I'm starting to feel lightheaded, but letting it end by such an untimely interruption will only make you a walking hazard." And her as well.. Rouge wanted another hight before returning to the party. She refound her balance, wrapping her arm carefully around his quill filled head and pressing him back into her chest. With every rise and fall in Shadow his lap she felt the hedgehog untensing a bit more. His hands made their way up her back, rubbing the sensitive spot where her wings sprouted. Rouge had to be careful to keep her wings from excitingly living their own lives now they yet again tried to keep the noises down. Before long their moans and huffs reached yet again through the closed door, but nothing fell over to concern anyone from downstairs.
Having barely any oxygen left in the closet they both began to feel like floating, losing themselves more into the motion. Shadow came gaspingly close to his exhilarating release, jolting his head back in joy. His quills noisily scratched the wall. Long moans escaped his throat in an attempt to keep himself from shouting.
In return Rouge felt trembles of energy passing through her body until she received that surge of exstacy from her partner. When he came, it wasn't just an orgasm like other mobians experienced. His energy spiked like Rouge was in the present of powerful gems such as to the master emerald. She could barely keep herself going, tending to melt completely in awe of this sensation. Yet she was so close, so close, so she exhaled with thrilling breath and moved on. Taking him in. Feeling everything so intensely. When finally there it made her quiver, arching her back, then curling to the front. She kept going while the sensation kept going up, becoming more intense. At some point she wondered if this was still euphoria from their intimacy, or that they now depleted the enclosed space of all it's oxygen and the thick air made her enter another state of being.
Firm hands grabbed her waist, stopping her motion. "Enough, Rouge. We need to get out." Shadow commanded while panting, just now realizing the heat they had build up together around them. He had slid down until his knees touched the other wall and kept him from sinking further down. Rouge had scraped her knee in the process, but she barely seemed to register it. Shadow helped her of him and stand up, all restricted by the shelves and stuff around them. He kept an arm around the weakened bat. She merely hung against him with her wings drooped. Quickly Shadow listened closely to the door, hearing nobody moving or talking on the other side. With the doorhandle pushed in place he opened the door just enough to let freshly cold air ooze inside. With a single flick he turned of the light.
Suddenly feeling blinded Shadow used his touch to search across a higher shelve. Earlier he had seen the folded bed-linen and wrapped a clean sheet around Rouge. With an arm under her legs and her back he picked her up, yet again checking the corridor before rushing to the bathroom. Shadow kicked the door close behind him and sat Rouge up against a wall. Guided by the daylight that entered from the domed window in the ceiling Shadow searched for a glass to get some water for her. Despite opening every cupboards and drawers he found non, his desperation growing.
Suddenly he heard her soft voice. The bat had tiredly followed his actions. "You're a lot more caring then people give you credit for." She said. "I am alright, Shadow. We just needed some air."
Without moving Shadow watched sharply how Rouge stood up. He wanted to make sure she could that by herself without issues. Once back on her feet the bat dropped the sheet. She closed her eyes for a moment and moaned when the cooler air breezed passed her fur. Shadow his gaze lingered longer then he intended, feeling yet again flushed from seeing her nude like this.
She smiled lovely when she caught his looks. "There is hardly anything you haven't seen by now."
"Except for that." Shadow saw the red blot patching up the white fur of her knee.
Rouge lowered her eyes slowly. "How unfortunate. You may patch that up after we had a bath together."
"I assume we are already missed. A shower is quicker." Shadow appeared so serious when he said that. Rouge wondered how concerned he had been, but didn't want to burden him by pointing that out. Instead she asked him to get her clothes who were left in the closet. Shadow was back in a flash. With a locked door they let a chill shower reawaken them.
And a reawakening it was indeed, for in this place their was air enough to rejuvenile their desires. Shadow moved up closer. With spread fingers Rouge ran to the fur on his chest, admiring the wet deep black against blinding white. She liked how contrasted he was, outside and in. Even though she thought she knew him, Shadow sometimes still surprised her by his actions. He remained a mystery to unrafel. A mystery that now gently reached between her legs. She was still warm and clam, aroused by the most subtle touch, and Rouge softly rubbing her nose past his in reply. She let him pull her leg up, holding her firmly while she grabbed his shoulders. Eagerly he entered her again. Their wet fur splashed loudly with each collision while the water streamed passed their faces.
It was Amy Rose herself who had hosted the party. It was an attempt to melt her old and new life back together, but it took her a while to invite her older friends and acquaintances. Mostly because she didn't know where they were living anymore, sometimes taking up months of searching the internet, making phonecalls and waiting for replies back. But finally it was done, and a definite date set. Vanilla had allowed her house to be the venue, and up till now the day couldn't have been better.
Still damp the bat and the hedgehog rejoined their hostess in the garden. It was crowded. Chattering filled the air. While some had noticed Rouge and Shadow's absence, they hadn't been missed. Mostly because of Sonic. That hedgehog surprised Shadow by what a good friend he turned out to be. Alright, his blue ass was using the busting in on Shadow and Rouge earlier to tease his rival with hand gestures and winking, but during their little escapade Sonic had told the rest of the party that Rouge had felt unwell. You know, monthly issues. Cramps and such. And Shadow being such a good colleague made sure she was alright, so there was no reason for interrupting. But as expected another question followed: why did they both look like they took a shower?
While Shadow was out of his wits Rouge leaned with her elbow on his shoulder. She was reclothed in her casual version of her working gear: Simple black catsuit from a flowing fabric with pink pumps underneath them. "For me it was soothing, and for the big guy here it was a way to forget about what he had seen. And I must say it is quite refreshing after a glass or two." Implying the wineglasses and beer-cans that were littered all over the place. Vanilla quickly corrected the bat by stating that upstairs was not accessible without permission, sugarcoating an order that should not again be disobeyed.
When the sun slowly sank more people returned into the house. It was the light who had brought along the warmth and with it fading temperatures dropped. Outside festive torches were lit, softly dancing their lights against the darkening green that surrounded the main field of the garden.
Shadow had escaped to the far end looking out at the sunset, overburdened by the voices and noises that filled the house, music still blasting. At least Rouge had fun. Having fallen back into her flirtatious act she could easily keep the chatter going all night. Little did others know that we she backhandedly tried to get intel out of them, for she liked to keep the upper hand by knowing others their secrets. Yet Rouge and Shadow had silently agreed on keeping their growing relationship for themselves. It turned out that Rouge, being talkative as she is, didn't want others peeping into her personal life.
And Shadow? He just wanted everybody to mind their own business. Nobody needed to know that the jewel-obsessed bat had mesmerised him to the point that even thinking about her made him glow inside. It wasn't her looks that did it for him. Now he found her undeniably attractive, but Rouge's physical allure had only appealed to Shadow after he fell for who she was. Her loyalty. Her determination. Her snark when things don't go her way. Those curves and looks were just a delightful wrapping of the real deal.
From among a little group that had still remained in the garden as well Shadow heard someone approaching.
"Needed some fresh air, buddy?" Sonic bumped against the black hedgehog's shoulder when he stood beside him. A hint of alcohol came along with his words.
"Mmh… at some point a place becomes to crowded."
"I think you did great by managing this long."
Shadow seemed slightly surprised. "I've hardly spoken to anyone."
"Don't sweat about it, most of them just want to hear themselves talk. It is still considered odd to talk into thin air, so it's nice to have someone to talk to. Even when you only pretend to listen."
"I do listen. I just don't care."
"At least you're honest… But truth be told, you have missed half the party, so it might be that I'm giving you too much credit. How serious are you and Rouge?" Sonic received a deathly glance from Shadow. "Sensitive subject. It was just that Rouge keeps up that you are just 'colleagues', and when I asked her she rambled on about some mission that had very little to do with it. Like, nothing at all. That is pretty suspicious. You would expect better from a spy." It was marvellous how almost everything that came out of was filled with this strange positivity. He could still annoy Shadow without even trying, especially with his never ending fidgeting when he just stood somewhere, but the quieter hedgehog had learned to appreciate that lighthearted way in which Sonic approached everything in life. He had the strange talent of making you feel like you mattered.
Shadow sighed, unconsciously stroking a head over his head to put his quills in place. "We are… exclusive . Rouge likes to stay low profile."
Sonic snorted. "Good job at that."
"Why were you not at the party downstairs…"
"Oh you know, I missed your grumpy butt standing around draining joy, so I looked around and wondered if the rooms upstairs had changed at all. Haven't been here for ages."
Shadow turned around to face the house. He had never been there, but saw the appeal of the place. It was a more rural, and while the house was reasonable in size for any family with kids, the garden was it's absolute highlight. The whole setting meant clearly more to Sonic then Shadow, and the blue blur's past life. "How did things go with Amy? You were a bit cautious about reuniting with her."
"Mmh…" The lingering buzz from the few drinks he had didn't make Sonic think any faster… "I'm not sure. She's cool and all, but we really grew apart. It is a bit sad, you know. When we were younger, I thought we would all stay friends forever. Now it seems I'm left only with you." After which he snorted, followed with loud laughter. Shadow turned to him with concern, but regretted that after receiving a pinch in his cheek. "Who would have thought that after you tried to kill me again, right Shads?" Implying the assassination attempt by GUN on the blue blur, carried out by none the less then Shadow himself.
Shadow brushed Sonic's hand away from his face. "You are an idiot. With that ridiculous optimism of yours you could make almost everybody into a friend. Regaining old ones shouldn't be an issue."
Sonic looked straight into those red eyes and acted as if on the edge of tearing up. "Is that a compliment?" Sonic quickly evaded a punch thrown by Shadow, making the blue guy crack up again. "And don't worry, Shads, your secret is safe with me." With making kissy faces he lured Shadow into a threatening step towards him, making the blue hedgehog blur his way out of the garden.
The remaining hedgehog shook his head, silently laughing by himself.
