Later on in the night, Jason and Michelle were having a rough time trying to fall asleep. The two of them were tossing and turning for most of the night, as the movies that they has sat through had begun to affect their slumbers. Jason whimpered in his sleep as terrifying specters danced in his head
Jason flew as a monstrous looking ship chased him through the darkness of space. Only a lone jetpack aided him in his escape. An enormous claw attempted to grab him as he zipped and zoomed around the around the debris that floated through the galaxy. A terrifying cackle ripped through the air "That's it Jason...RUN!!" it shrieked. Jason covered his eyes and shut his eyes shut to block it out...only for the claw to finally catch him, and pull him towards its hatch like mouth, where 4 pairs of evil looking eyes stared at him.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"
Jason screamed as he catapulted himself out of bed. He wildly looked around to see that he was no longer in the deep darkness of space, but back in Grandmum's cottage. Michelle quickly followed his lead as she woke up from her own nightmare, yelling "DON'T EAT ME!!" Only to calm down that she wasn't being eaten either. A light clicked on from downstairs as Grandmum walked up to check on them.
"Are you two alright? I heard screaming." she asked. Jason took deep breaths to get himself to properly form words "I...It was just a nightmare." he panted "A Really bad nightmare..." he says. Grandmum walks over and gently pats his back "There there. It's alright...It was just a nightmare." she soothes. She then walks over to Michelle to calm her down as well "It just felt so real though..." Michelle whimpered, trying to erase the images from her head
"Now dear, You know what the good book says: In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety." Grandmum said, much to the confusion of the kids. "What does that mean?" Jason asked. "It means that God is with us always, even in our sleep and dreams. When something scary is in your dreams, God can protect you." Grandmum answered.
The twins still didn't know what Grandmum meant, but her words did somewhat soothe them. "Nothing that a good warm glass of milk and a plate of cookies can't fix." Grandmum said. "I'll be right back." she said as she walked back down the stairs. The Twins, as much as they loved Grandmum's cookies, they still were terrified of their nightmares, and now regretted trying to see who was braver than the other.
A warm glass of milk and a few cookies later, Jason and Michelle could feel their eyes getting heavy again, despite the fear still coursing through their veins. They laid back in bed, trying to go back to sleep once more...
And two more screams ripped through the cottage as the twins woke in fear again.
