When the Morning finally came, and the sun began to shine and chase away the night, Both Twins looked even more exhasted than before. Michelle has large bags under her eyes as he attempted to shake away her sleepiness, while Jason was shaking from exhaustion, his eyes darting every which way to see if something was coming. When Grandmum came up to see them, she jumped in shock from the tired out twins.
"Goodness! Didn't you sleep a wink last night?" she asked, and both kids shaked their heads no. "Oh Dear...I guess the SandMan must have missed you on his route." she said. Jason nodded as his head almost dipped into sleep, but he jumped up and shook his head awake. "W-We didn't sleep a WINK last night! So...Many...NIGHTMARES!" Michelle shivered. "Well, No sleep at all causes more problems. You'll be much slower, and sluggish, and You'll start to see things that aren't there." Grandmum warned.
"I-It's alright. I'm seeing things just fine." Jason said...that is, until he saw his hands growing hands, Michelle becoming an alien monster, and the cottage being nothing more than a large set on an alien planet. Shaking his head violently, he saw everything back to normal, but that didn't mean he was still scared. "I'll let you get a little more sleep before noon." Grandmum said, leaving them to at least try and get a little sleep.
That was a task easier said than done.
Even with the sun smiling down on the cottage, Jason and Michelle STILL couldn't get at least 5 minutes of sleep. "M-Maybe watching that horror movie marathon was a bad idea." Jason stuttered, laying back down in bed. "Y-Yeah. Now we can't sleep. If only you said that you were scared." Michelle shot, glaring at Jason with her tired eyes.
Jason glared back at her "Me?! You were the one that said you could watch the entire movie!" he argued back. Michelle, now too tired to argue back, attempted to sleep. "I'm gonna try to sleep now. Unless you wanna fess up, Don't wake me up." she said. Jason didn't argue back as he rolled into bed...
However, this ends up causing his hand to hit a nearby table that held a blue toy rocketship, that held 4 pengin figurines, and that made it fall to the ground. Jason paid now heed to the sound of the rocket crashing to the ground, until he heard the familiar sound of a engine revving. Thinking it was just his sleepy mind playing tricks on him again, he ignored it.
"Cadet Jason T. Conrad!" a voice announced. Jason blearily blinked at the now working (but blurry) rocket in front of him. "Hey hallucination of Zidgel, I think I'm sit this one out. I had a rough night from all the nightmares last night..." Jason told the 'Hallucination.' "Yeah...Same here. I can barely see straight, and I think my mind isn't all there." Michelle added.
"Sorry Cadets, But we got a call from a, and get this, Another dimension somewhere in the galaxy." Zidgel told them. But instead of springing up, Michelle instead put her pillow over her head, and Jason swatted at the ship. "C'mon hallucination, go away..." he muttered, rolling away from the ship.
Deciding enough was enough, Zidgel called further into the ship "Dr Fidgel. Galeezel them." The kids paid him no heed however and attempted to get some sleep...That is until Michelle felt something metallic and cold clasp her body and pull her backwards. Her eyes snapped open as she saw the cottage growing larger before she fell into the Rockhopper.
Jason turned over, expecting to see Michelle still in bed, but instead saw her bed empty, and the ship gone. Jason sighed as he assumer that his 'Hallucination' was over, when he saw a familiar green metal claw clamp onto him and pull him into the toy ship. Jason's mind snapped into place when he saw the world get bigger and he landed directly on top of Michelle.
Scrambling to their feet, the twins realized that this wasn't a dream that their sleep deprived minds created, but rather another adventure waiting for them in the great unknown regions of space. Once the two of them got their bearings, Midgel let out a loud "BANZAI!!" and a small bonsai tree popped out.
Once he gave it a little trim, Midgel punched the ships engine as they blasted off into the vastness of space.
Now if only Jason and Michelle could stay awake...
