On the Moon, Rita's palace had been rebuilt, but now had the words 'Bandora Palace' on the side.
Inside, Robo Rita stood in a room with her machine, with Snizzard and Minotaur behind her, as several Putties paced around.
"Drip by drip, the delicious Ranger powers ebb away." she sneered. "Let's see how much I've stolen from them."
She moved towards the panel, then pressed a button on it, as the second section of the tube lit up, then a bright light came on the satellite dish.
"Oh, how disappointing!" she snarled. "This process is too slow!"
She walked past the machine towards the balcony, as Snizzard and Minotaur followed her.
"We need as many Rangers as we can get." she declared.
"I can round the lambs up for slaughter." Snizzard assured.
"Not unless we can find them." Minotaur argued. "If we can get them to morph, then it'll be my time to shine."
"Good thing I know exactly what draws out a Power Ranger." Robo Rita said.
Meanwhile, Billy, Sophie and Zack were all in a new Command Center beneath Cranston Tech. The building resembled the old outside building of the old Command Center, while the Command Center resembled the old one, including a tube similar to Zordon's and a small viewing globe. They all approached the control computer panels, as an Alpha bot known as Alpha 9 paced around.
"No T-Rex? No Pterodactyl? No Green Dragon power?" he exclaimed, with Alpha 5's voice, getting up from beneath a panel. "Ay-Yi-Yi-Yi-Yi!"
The Rangers all approached him as he looked around.
"We'll have to scan for something else if we're gonna find our friends!" he realized.
He turned around and approached another panel, as Zack approached him.
"Thanks, Alpha 9." Zack said.
Alpha turned turned to him and Sophie, as Billy approached the other side of the panel.
"Oh, greetings, Zack." Alpha said. "And you too, Sophie."
"You too, Alpha." Sophie said.
"Hey, if only the people upstairs only knew they had the world's smartest robot right beneath their feet?" Zack joked.
"Still such a charmer." Alpha commented.
They high-fived each other twice.
"It's good to see you again." Alpha said, as they bumped their fists together. "Been a while."
"It sure has." Sophie said.
Zack nodded as Sophie and Alpha high-fived each other, while Billy began to work on the panel.
"I guess life is busy when you're both raising a teenager with attitude?" Alpha assumed.
"I have a feeling Lisa will when she's older." Sophie said. "She only just turned 13 after all."
"And Minh defiantly has attitude." Zack assured. "Right, Billy?"
They both turned and approached Billy, as Alpha turned to work on the panel.
"You all good?" Zack asked.
"Yeah." Billy sighed, as his friends stood on either side of him. "It's just, we haven't been in a mess like this since..."
Alpha turned to them all.
"Minh's right." Billy said. "It really is all my fault that we lost Trini."
"Come on, man." Zack said. "You were trying to do something good."
"And like I told Minh, you didn't mean for it to happen." Sophie reminded him.
"Yeah, but look what happened?" Billy scoffed.
They all looked up at the tube, which had a crack in it.
(Flashback)
A year ago, Billy and another Alpha robot called Alpha 8 were in the Command Center, Billy by the tube - which didn't have a crack - while Alpha worked on the panel.
"Finally, a hit." Alpha said happily.
Billy walked over and around the panel.
"Our system is picking up a powerful presence." Alpha explained, as Billy approached him.
"Really?" Billy asked hopefully, before turning to the tube. "Maybe it's him, or revenants of him from the Z-Wave. Alpha 8, we've gotta converge the particles and draw them in."
They both began to press buttons on the panel.
"Initializing Z-Wave energy reconstitution." Alpha said, as energy went down a pipe tube connected from the panel to the big tube.
The big tube lit up as they both looked at it, then lighting showed up in it.
"It's working." Alpha said.
"Zordon? Zordon, are you here?" Billy called hopefully.
The energy inside the tube suddenly turned purple, filled with smoke and lighting.
"Ah, Billy!" Alpha gasped, as the place shook, with dust falling from the ceiling. "I don't think that's Zordon?"
The tube began to crack slightly, before a wave of energy came out of it, which then hit Alpha.
"AH! Mal-func-tion!" he moaned, as his body lit up brightly. "Billy!"
"Alpha?" Billy gasped, horrified.
"You have to..." Alpha began, his body moving by itself.
"What's happening?" Billy panicked.
"...get back!" Alpha said, whacking Billy's face with his arm.
Billy went flying backs, then hit and rolled along the floor, before he stopped on his side near a wall.
"NO!" Alpha cried. "NO! NOOOO!"
His body changed into that of Robo Rita, shocking Billy.
"Yes!" she said happily, before she laughed and looked at herself. "After all these years, I'm free!"
Billy got up and looked at her.
"It's time for revenge." Robo Rita declared.
"No?" Billy muttered. "No, it can't be?"
"Fast check, Billy, you were looking for your precious Zordon, but when he sacrificed himself with the Z-Wave, it wasn't just his particles that spread across the universe." Robo Rita said, as Billy walked sideways to his left. "Get it?"
Billy past by the viewing globe as she turned to him.
"But you're not evil anymore!" Billy argued. "You became the Mystic Mother after you were purified. Every Ranger knows that."
"That fool isn't me. I would never become that!" Robo Rita snarled. "She may have my appearance and had my name, but that's all we have in common. The evil was purged from my being and the wave scattered it across space when I was purified against my will. Until today, when you put me back together, and I found a new body. Now, Rita Repulsa will reign again!"
She used her magic to create her wand, then laughed and shot a spell at Billy, who dived and rolled to his left to avoid it, getting behind a pillar. He got up, still shocked by Robo Rita, before putting his communicator to his mouth.
"I need backup at the Command Center." he explained, backing away to a door. "It's Rita! I'll try to lure her outside, but..."
Robo Rita cast a spell from her wand.
"...hurry!" Billy finished loudly, dodging the spell.
He ran off down a hallway as Robo Rita laughed.
(Flashback ends)
"Oh, my poor predecessor." Alpha 9 sighed.
"Look, let's focus on the now." Zack suggested, touching Billy's shoulder. "Robo Rita's a force to be reckoned with, and we gotta make sure she doesn't hurt anybody else."
"Zack's right." Sophie agreed. "We need you to focus on stopping her, Billy, not what happened last year."
Billy sighed and nodded, seeing their point.
An alarm suddenly went off, making them all turn to the panel behind them.
"My monster scan has found something." Alpha said.
They all approached the panel.
"Looks like a live video feed." Alpha said.
They all looked at the screen, which showed a bunch of Putties attacking people at a soccer field.
"It's not Rita, it's Putties!" Alpha exclaimed. "And it's not just Angel Grove!"
The screen changed, showing Putties chasing people inside a building, then it showed the Earth, with red dots popping up all over.
"It's all over the world!" he exclaimed.
"We knew she would return." Billy said. "We're prepared for this. Alpha 9, it's time."
"Yes, sir." Alpha said.
He pressed a button on the panel, then the words 'Bandora Protocol' came onto the screen, along with a list of cites Ranger teams had protected; Coral Harbor, Reefside, Astro Megaship, Turtle Cove, Terra Venture, and many more.
"Attention all Power Ranger teams, Bandora Protocol initiated." Alpha said. "Get to your assigned stations now!"
"If I remember the plan correctly, visitors in 3...2...1." Zack said.
They all turned left, and Katherine 'Kat' Oliver, formally Hillard - Tommy's wife and Kimberly's successor - showed up via teleportation, her back to them all.
"One minute, I'm helping out at JJ's Junior Karate camp, and the next I'm sneaking off to the bathroom to teleport?" she said, turning to the others. "Seriously?"
They all could tell she wasn't happy about leaving her teenage son alone.
"Sorry, Kat, but it's an emergency." Sophie apologised, knowing her she felt, as they were both mothers.
"I know. Bandora Protocol's happening." Kat said. "Robo Rita's back."
Before the others could answer, they heard a noise, making them turn right, as Rocky DeSantos - Jason's successor - showed up via teleportation, wearing a Fireman's uniform, as he was now a volunteer Firefighter as well as a Martial Arts instructor. He held his helmet in one hand, and a pot of Chinese noodles in the other, looking slightly annoyed.
"Oh, come on, guys?" he said annoyed, turning around. "Is this really another training exercise, because, hello? I just heated my lunch."
"It's not training." Zack assured. "Rita is back."
"So, Tommy, Jase and Kim are fighting her?" Kat assumed.
"No. Unfortunately, they've been captured." Billy explained. "So we need your help."
Rocky and Kat looked shocked by the news.
"It happened when we were visiting Trini's grave." Sophie explained.
"Man, that's harsh." Rocky said.
A beeping noise got their attention, then Sophie took out her phone from her pocket, and saw it was her husband Bob.
"I'll be right back." she said. "He probably wants to know what happened."
The others nodded as she turned and walked off, then put her phone to her ear.
"What exactly happened?" Kat asked Zack.
Zack sighed, and began to tell Kat and Rocky what happened.
At the Kwan/Taylor house, Minh was out in the field near the back of the house, wearing gym clothes, while holding two baton sticks, hitting a wooden pole with a rope around it several times.
"Ah!" she growled, hitting the right one against it. "Not a Ranger? Not yet, you mean!"
She glared at the pole, as she was determined to avenge her Mom, despite Sophie telling her Rangers don't use their power for personal gain. She began to hit it again with her batons, hitting it six times with each pole.
"You'll pay for what you did, Rita!" she vowed.
She leaned back and kicked the pole hard, when she heard an alarm from her phone. She lowered her leg and took it out of her jacket's pocket, then turned it on, holding it sideways, showing a reporter called Annie at the Youth Center from BuzzBlast, a News Station from Pine Ridge, which had recently set one up in Angel Grove.
"Monsters known as Putty Patrollers, haven't been seen in Angel Grove for many years!" she said frantically, as Putties scared the other people inside, knocking them down. "But today, they're back! Citizens, keep your eyes open for attackers! Reports say, this is happening all over the world. Power Rangers, we need you today, more than ever! AH!"
She turned and ran off as a Putty came up behind her.
Minh turned to her house, then ran towards it. Once inside, she approached the stall the drawing, pictures and box was on. She opened up the box, then looked at one closest picture of her Mom, before she picked up the Power Morpher and ran off.
Back in the Command Center, Billy stood by Alpha near a panel, as Zack had finished explaining what happened to Kat and Rocky - now out of is Firefighter uniform - while Sophie was still on the phone.
"I'll be back as soon as I can." Sophie promised. "You know I can handle this."
"I know." Bob sighed. "Just...be careful?"
"I will. Just look after Lisa till I get back, okay?" Sophie asked.
"I will." Bob promised. "Love you."
"Love you too." Sophie whispered.
She hung up and put her phone away, then turned to the others.
"It sounds like you barely got away?" Kat said.
"And now we have an army of Putties on our hands." Zack said, as Rocky put his uniform on a panel. "What's next?"
"It's likely we'll find ourselves in a Megazord situation soon." Billy deduced.
"When have we not?" Sophie asked sarcastically. "I can remember only a few times we didn't have too."
They all gathered together.
"Billy and I took months getting the Saber-Tooth Tiger Zord without a Yellow Ranger." Alpha explained.
"So, Dino Megazord is off the table then without Jase and Kim?" Rocky assumed.
"Not quite." Billy said. "Alpha and I've been experimenting with a secondary connection to the Grid."
"We made these Proxy Power Coins as a contingency." Alpha explained, opening up his hand, showing a Tyrannosaurus and Pterodactyl Power Coin. "Now all of you can use Dino Powers."
"Whoa! Zordon was very clear. Duplicating active powers is very dangerous." Zack argued.
"I agree." Sophie said. "Tommy told us all what happened to his student Trent when he was cloned, remember?"
"Yeah, and it nearly destroyed him." Zack recalled.
"I don't care how much dangerous too much pink energy is, Once a Ranger..." Kat began.
She picked up the Pterodactyl coin, then Rocky picked up the Tyrannosaurus one.
"Always a Ranger." he finished. "You can defiantly count us in."
Kat nodded, while Sophie and Zack both looked unsure.
"I'm still not sure about this." Sophie said uneasily.
"Soph, I know about the story myself." Billy assured. "Which is why we made sure this is only temporally. It won't be like with what Trent had to go through."
"We hope you're right." Zack said, as Sophie nodded.
"Alright, first up, there's been injures already reported in Angel Grove." Billy explained. "We cannot let the Putties run rampant any longer."
"If that's the case..." Zack began, walking forward.
They all moved and formed a line, from left to right, Sophie, Rocky, Zack, Billy and Kat.
"It's morphin time!" Zack shouted, as they put their hands behind them.
"Camptosaurus!"
"Mastodon!"
"Pterodactyl!"
"Triceratops!"
"Tyrannosaurus!"
They all morphed up and did the Mighty Morphin fight poses.
"I never get tried of that." Alpha said, as they stood at ease. "Now go, go Power Rangers!"
The Rangers all touched their Power Morphers on their belts, then held up their right hands and teleported away, ready to fight and defend the city.
