One month and twenty-five years ago, millions of kids were traumatized by the infamous Wiggly Puppets from the classic DVD, "Yummy Yummy." Nobody knew where they came from. Nobody knew where they are now, and while I don't know what will happen in the future, I have some information that could reveal everything about them, and the Wiggles lore as a whole.
But first, let's start with where it all began. Our story begins somewhere in Australia in 1991, when four guys by the names of Greg, Murray, Anthony, and Jeff decided they wanted to create something fun for the family. They wanted something that mainly the kids would enjoy, but that the adults would also be able to sit through. After a quick brainstorming session, Anthony thought a puppet show would be a simple, but fun way to do this.
After a few months, the group created four puppets in their likenesses, and they test ran the first ever "Wiggly Puppet Show." But something looked off. Maybe it was those strange bug eyes, or the uncanny way they looked both human and puppet-like. Whatever it was, the kids all ran away screaming because of it. The parents ridiculed them, and the quartet knew this wasn't going anywhere. Anthony tried to convince everyone else that they can fix those horrifying puppets, but Greg argued heavily against it. In the end, they voted to lock away the puppets in a top-security vault, never to be seen again. Or so they thought. What they didn't know is that the puppets were sentient. Even I don't know how, but they had good intentions. They wanted to make the kids happy like they were made to do. One way or another, they were going to fulfill their purpose.
Shortly after the incident, the four decided a band would be better, so they formed The Wiggles. They made a few friends, in more ways then one, and recorded a series of music videos together. Many of them were released on DVD and VHS, and by 1998, they had become a big hit with families. Things were looking up when they were filming a re-record of "Yummy Yummy" from just four years earlier. After filming a performance of "Shakey Shakey," they decided to take a break and go back home. When the Wiggles had left, the puppets they created found a way to escape the vault. The cameras turned back on, the spotlights rolled, and they performed a rendition of their hit song, "Can You Point Your Fingers and Do the Twist?" After the next recording session, they hijacked filming again, this time performing, "Go, Captain, Go," with a new puppet they created based on the Wiggles' friend, Captain Feathersword. Not paying attention, the band pieced together the videos, and released it to the world.
But then they started getting letters from the parents about how their kids have been traumatized forever. It clicked faster then you could say, "Hot Potato." They all quickly figured out that the puppets were behind it. The Wiggles found their puppet imposters, locked them up a treasure chest, threw away the key, and threw the chest right back into the vault. Now, they'll never be seen again, right?
Over time, they've hijacked TV shows, resulting in another layer of security being added. They learned that they were never seen as more than demons, so demons they would become. Slowly, they've worked their revenge plots on members of the crew. They gave Greg a sickness that would force him to resign. Then, they played some anonymous mind games with Murray and Jeff, prompting them to retire. They didn't do anything to Anthony, 'cause when there's only one person that has ever supported you, why would you want to hurt them? Now, they just waited to be set free and bring Hell to the world, like they were clearly meant to do. Little did they know that on April 13th, 2023, exactly 25 years after their big debut, a pair of buddies would help their nightmarish dream become a reality.
Author's Notes:
I got the idea for this story after my sister and I dove into a rabbit hole following us learning about a Six Flags dark ride taking a tour of the Wiggles World. Apparently, everyone in the comments was talking about the trauma these guys gave them. Knowing we weren't the only ones, I came up with a plot for a comedic horror story starring them. I don't know exactly where this is going, but I have a few plot points in mind. And don't worry, dialog will be added in the future. This was more so just a prologue.
