Sam's not used to being the partner left asleep after a night spent together. For one thing, he's used to his hook-ups being someone he has a connection with rather than just a one-and-done never-see-them-again like Dean. But in the few times his hook-ups have been like this, he's usually the one to sneak out before his partner has woken up. Or just leave before they've even fallen asleep.
Not this time.
This time, when he'd blinked himself awake, Sam found a flower and a note on the woman's pillow, a fruit parfait waiting for him in the kitchenette fridge for breakfast, and his clothes neatly folded on the nightstand. He felt more rested than normal and the satisfaction and contentment he'd felt last night lingered.
There was a second note with his clothes.
I've removed the bloodstains for you. I'm not sure what you do for a living but please take better care of yourself, Sam.
