Author's Notes: Well it's been a very long time since I've posted anything hasn't it? While I do apologize greatly for that it was unfortunately needed. I had received extreme vitriolic hate, to the point of one of those responsible threatening me. The scum even sent me my own address at the time. I realize that my writing can be offensive to some but that is no excuse for the amount of harassment I started to receive. I of course, as I have stated many times in my notes, enjoyed talking with anyone who wanted to leave a review or DM and the vast majority of those I've spoken to were nothing but nice and helpful, but not everyone is such a decent person. I'm not proud of it but I let those negative and hateful people affect me to the point of losing motivation to write and interact, even deleted a few completed pieces (really regret that one lol). A few readers have reached out over this long hiatus to ask about stories or simply if I was ok, and I greatly appreciate them for doing so. I would like to apologize to them in particular since I had promised a few of them that I would return to posting much sooner than this. I hope I can make it up to anyone and everyone that has been waiting on the works in progress. My 2 most popular pieces are at around 27k views and my third-place piece is at about 8k views. That's insane even after as long as they've been up, I never expected more than a few hundred when I first started. Anyway to get to the point that most readers care about: this is my newest upload and newest potential story. It is a proof of concept, just like chapter 1 of "It Runs in The Family", where if you guys like it then I will continue it. (Potential chapter 1)

It was a typical day at the Loud House and as with every mid-Friday afternoon Lisa Loud could be found tinkering with some new experiment or invention in her shared upstairs bedroom and today was no different. This time the young genius was putting what she believed were the finishing touches of her latest machine together. She had just built a data transferal system she planned to replace conventional education systems.

"Finally! It's finished after two months of work I've completed my best invention yet. I'll call it my Temporal Link and it'll change the world!"-Lisa

Lisa originally designed the machine to scan information from one source and upload it directly into the mind of a willing subject, but in her usual ambitious nature she expanded its capabilities. Now the device can upload information into multiple subjects at once or even transfer information directly between subjects. For example: rather than just uploading a course on medical aid to someone, Lisa could upload hands-on experience as well as the knowledge from a seasoned professional. Or students could be rapidly taught everything they learn in 12+ years of grade school in just a few days. The possible benefits to society were boundless.

Now all the little scientist needed to do was prove that it worked. Obviously she could use herself as either an informational source or a subject but she preferred to be unconnected in case something went wrong. Though she put the odds of that happening at less than 1%. So she instead opted to convince her siblings and parents to assist in her efforts.

"I need to test this on humans before I can ever go public with it. Uploading maps of mazes into mice isn't exactly the highest mark of capability after all. I should remain unconnected during the procedure to monitor its progress so I'll need two volunteers. Perhaps I could request the assistance of my family units.."-Lisa

First she recruited Lori and her mother Rita as subjects with Rita being the source and Lori as the recipient. She started small by simply transferring some sewing techniques over. Then she swapped the flow of the device to transfer some new age lingo from Lori to Rita. Both her eldest sister and mother were extremely impressed with the success of the machine and how they felt closer by the experience. It seemed that their minds touched in a way during the data transfers. Lisa saw this as an added boon to the device's benefits.

Lori even came to the young scientist to express her gratitude, "Oh my god, thank you Lisa! I never felt so close to mom before, it was like we were twins or something while we were hooked up to that thing."

"I'm glad it helped you two become closer Lori, I hope to further explore these possibilities with the rest of our family." Lisa was grateful her device could help in such a way that she had not anticipated. The little girl began to muse to herself about Lori's twin comment, wondering if it was similar to how Lola and Lana felt on a regular basis.

Over the next several days she would conduct small scale transfers like this between her family with each learning new skills and a growing sense of connection with each other. Nothing to life changing of course but just enough to cut down on any excess bickering that would've normally happened between so many children and their parents.

Lisa was extremely satisfied with the results thus far and decided she would prove beyond any doubt that her creation could improve her family's lives beyond anything they could've predicted. She resolved to do this by transferring a complete emotional and informational scan of five of her siblings between each other. Obviously she'd omit the fact of its complete scan and only tell them it was another partial scan of skills and experiences to curb any potential hesitation. They might get skittish over being known so fully to their siblings after all. Eventually she would conduct this process with all her siblings and parents, including herself but she'd start with five for now.

Her choices for this initial full transfer were Leni, Luan, Lynn, Lincoln, and Lucy since she felt they were diverse enough to be a good baseline for the effectiveness of the process while also being fairly close to each other already. It wasn't hard to convince Leni or Luan as they both thought it'd be fun to learn more about their younger siblings, but Lincoln and Lucy were a little worried about it. They both feared that it was a big jump to go from single person to single person transfers up to simultaneously transferring between five so quickly. After a bit of reassurances they both eventually gave in to participating. Lynn however simply needed a bride. The girl just wanted Lisa to design a more efficient protein bar to aid in her training. Child's play for the child savant.

It was now a Saturday afternoon the following week and with her subjects ready and willing Lisa set about the process of connecting each to the Temporal Link. Since she had five people for the transfer she seated them in a star shape around the central connecting tower. Lucy sat at the pinnacle with Lynn to her right followed by Luan, Leni and finally Lincoln rounding the star off at Lucy's left.

"Are you sure about this Lisa? This seems like a lot of people at once for this." Lincoln squirmed a bit in his chair as the neural connectors were attached to his forehead. The white-haired boy was clearly nervous but he had agreed to help his little sister so he wasn't going to leave until he did.

"Quit being such a whimp Lincoln. Lisa said it's going to be fine so just relax already would ya." Lynn sat cross armed in her chair looking almost impatient to get things started. She wasn't trying to seem harsh to her younger brother, rather she was trying to be reassuring, but it was clear from his reaction that's how he took it.

Seeing this the family comedian spoke up to calm her little brother's nerves the best she could. "It'll be ok Linc. Lisa has done this plenty of times by now, I'm sure she would hook us up to this thing if she thought something could go wrong." The gentle prankster punctuated her point with a sweet smile that was mirrored by the second eldest Loud child.

"Like Lisa is totally the best at this stuff, I think it'll be fun!" Leni was being her typical bubbly self of course and though she might not be smart enough to know it, her positivity was infectiously spreading through her siblings like it always did. The young fashionista always was one of the best at lifting the mood, whether she knew it or not.

Lucy remained silent as normal but did give a curt nod to Lisa to begin whenever she was ready. The little goth was just as worried as her older brother but she decided, as is usually the case, to keep her emotions in check.

With the butterflies seemingly dealt with Lisa flipped the switch as it were to begin the transfer process. She had predicted that the scale of the data scans and uploads would cause her siblings to briefly lose consciousness and she was right. In seconds each of her older siblings slumped slightly in an apparent sleep as the Temporal Link hummed in its central place between them. Suddenly something happened that utterly surprised the little genius.

"What on Earth is going on?! This shouldn't happen at all!" Lisa began to panic as her Temporal Link suddenly erupted in sparks and put off a wave of intense heat. Her device was overheating somehow. She rushed to find the cause of the malfunction but couldn't access its manual control panel due to its immense heat.

"I need to stop the transfer before something else goes wrong. I can't let them get hurt." The young girl ran back to her computer to try to halt the transfer but it was already too late. Upon reaching the keyboard she saw the percentage was at 99% and as she attempted to stop it her screen blacked out. The Temporal Link had just fried her computer as well. Now all she could do was hope her siblings were alright.

For an agonizing half hour Lisa sat in between Lynn and Luan waiting for anyone to wake up. As she laid her head on her knees she felt a gentle hand place itself upon her curly hair. She barely registered Lynn's voice ask her if she was ok but it only lasted a brief moment before the sporty girl began freaking out, waking Lisa from her stupor.

"Oh my god! Like Lisa what's going on? Why do I sound so weird?" Lynn was breathing heavily and looking at her hands, turning them over repeatedly. Lisa noticed the way she had spoken and noted it wasn't like Lynn to speak like that or to check her nails so closely. Then she noticed the sporty girl began rubbing at her freckled forearms vigorously. "Why do my arms look different? Lisa what's…"

As the jock looked up she saw the rest of her siblings slowly opening their eyes and realization and shock shot into her core. "Why am I over there?! Like I'm right here!" The girl was pointing to Leni as the blonde girl groggily rubbed her eyes.

Lisa put the dots together at that moment. She wasn't talking to Lynn, not really. Yes it was Lynn's body but it must be Leni's mind within given her reactions and statements. The Temporal Link must have gotten so overloaded during the data uploads that it malfunctioned and simply overrode the mind of each subject with another's. The little scientist looked to each sibling who still hadn't fully awakened yet and wondered if they all were overridden by a copy of Leni's mind or if Lynn was the only one.

Her answer came quickly though as the body of her older brother spoke up, "Uh my head, will you jerks quit yelling so much! Jeez you're all such babies sometimes." Lisa surmised that Lynn's mind had in fact been copied into Lincoln's body. This was confirmed when the white-haired boy began pointing to the jock girl's body saying much the same as Leni had within Lynn's body.

"Holy crap…" Luan's soft voice caught Lisa's attention as the comedic girl looked at the only boy in the room with a ghost white tint to her face.

Over the next few minutes it was clear all five siblings' minds were copied in the scans as had been planned but rather than simply being imparted as comprehensive knowledge to each of their peers they had overridden the original mind of the subject body. Lisa noted the results as follows:

Lynn's mind - in Lincoln's body

Lincoln's mind – in Luan's body

Luan's mind – in Lucy's body

Leni's mind – in Lynn's body

Lucy's mind – in Leni's body

For ease of identification the siblings agreed to call each other by their minds' names rather than by body. So in Lincoln's case he would still be called by his name even though he was now in Luan's rather different body. They also agreed to keep this mishap a secret for now, even from the rest of the family.

"How did this happen Lisa?! What are we supposed to do now?" Lincoln was freaking out as he uncomfortably pulled at the hem of the skirt his new body wore. He was having a much harder time than anyone else given his total gender change and the fact that even though Lynn was dealing with the same she was pretty calm all things considered.

"Freaking out isn't going to solve anything Lincoln. Lisa can you change us back to normal or what? It looks like your machine is pretty toasted." It was odd to hear such a monotone nature to the normally bubbly voice coming from the eldest blond girl's mouth. Lucy was now in her second oldest sibling's body and while it was obvious she was uncomfortable she wasn't letting herself fall to hysteria like her brother was.

Leni and Luan were sitting with each other trying to process what was going on. Luan was now shorter than the brunette looking back at her and black hair obstructed her vision. She felt so small and helpless as she watched her body swapped siblings bickering in the center of the room next to the machine that caused all of this.

"I will find a way to fix this but please try to remain calm. The Temporal Link is severely damaged and may take some time to repair, and I need to figure out why it overrode your minds the way it did." Lisa was internally freaking out of course but she needed to reassure her siblings and focus on finding a solution. She couldn't afford to waste time on panic.

She pleaded with the unfortunate victims of the Link to return to the rooms associated with their physical bodies for now and try to calm down. It was about 9pm now and it was clear everyone involved was exhausted. Reluctantly and slowly the body swapped Loud children began to file out of Lisa's bedroom and into the ones suggested by the young scientist.

Luan and Leni went into the shared room of their goth and jock sisters since they now inhabited their bodies with Lincoln sheepishly going into the room where Luna sat on a bean bag chair with music blasting through headphones. All three looked anxious of what was to come as it was obviously going to be awkward. Luan and Lincoln shared a last brief look to each other since the boy was now in her body and she was understandably scared of a male seeing her in such a way.

Lynn entered her brother's room alone with the first signs of fear emerging into view. She had never seen or been around a boy in such a way and now she technically was one and alone in a room at night. She was still fully dressed as well in street clothes and shoes. "Should I change into pajamas or just take off the shoes and avoid seeing myself…" Her eyes shot wide open at her own statement. She had already referred to the borrowed body of her brother as her own.

She was having a much easier time than Lincoln though since Luna wouldn't accept that, who she saw as, her prank obsessed sister wanted to just drop onto the bed and sleep fully clothed. Apparently Luan never did that and Lincoln was internally cursing his body's true owner for being so reliable in her routines. It didn't help that Luna had no issues with potential boundaries seeing as the rocker was now playfully pulling the blouse up and over Lincoln's head while he put up an awkward and half-hearted resistance.

"Holy… crap…" Lincoln froze as his breasts came into full view, though still covered somewhat by a modest yellow bra. Suddenly he felt the same shock Lynn had just a moment earlier. He internally referred to Luan's breasts, and by extension her body, as his own.

"What's wrong dude? You're acting really weird. Just get out of those clothes already and get your pjs on. And stop holding your tits like that, it's kinda creepy." Luna was looking at her roommate with a confused expression now.

Lincoln looked back down to his hands and realized he had been curiously groping the soft mounds of flesh attached to his chest. His hands shot to his sides and his face was ghost white again. Luna questioned if he (or should he refer to himself as she?) was feeling alright but was met with the jokey girl's body rushing to the wardrobe and changing into a bright yellow pair of pajamas while looking at the ceiling and without changing her bra or underwear.

Luan and Leni had a much easier time of things since they were sharing a room together and while they weren't in their own bodies they at least were still their original gender. "I hope Lincoln and Lynn are ok. I can't imagine how this feels for them." Luan held herself as she sat on black sheets and looked at the wall connecting the room with her original bedroom. She wondered If Luna would notice that there was something wrong with her now that it was really their little brother. But more so she was nervous about Lincoln seeing her body, after all he was a boy and she didn't have interest in them anyway so the thought of one seeing her in any kind of vulnerable way never crossed her mind.

Resolving to try not to dwell on it Luan began to lay back onto the bed before noticing she was still in Lucy's day clothes. So she got up and went to the vanity and began changing into a black night gown. She paused when she was topless and looked over the ivory skin of her new body, stopping to focus on the budding breasts on her chest topped by adorably pink nipples. "Huh at least Lucy has a cute body." The jokester caught herself looking into the mirror a bit too closely and scolded herself for admiring her little sister's body like that. But the thought didn't leave her mind even as she began drifting off under the onyx covers.

Leni was fortunate that she was naturally carefree as she quickly found a sense of calmness in the situation and quickly changed and got into bed. Surely the others would be jealous of her ease of acceptance of the circumstances.

The rest of the night passed in anxious agony until finally the body swapped siblings all finally found sleep. But the morning would bring new problems for each of them. Especially the jock as she woke before anyone else, finding it uncomfortable to lay the way she had been earlier.

"Uh what.. what's going on? Ow what the hell is poking into my stomach?" Lynn threw the covers off to see what was causing her discomfort. She certainly found an answer but she wasn't she how to process the rather hard problem now looking back at her.

"Holy shit Linc… is this what morning wood means? Why is it so fucking big?!"

Author's notes extended: Ok so probably not my best work but hey I'm a bit rusty lol. I've had this idea for a mind swap for awhile now, as well as others that I plan on exploring in the days and weeks to come. I really hope you guys enjoyed it and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. I know it didn't have any smut in it, especially compared to other pieces of mine but like I said this is a proof of concept so if you want more let me know. I for one really like the idea of what could happen with Lincoln and Lynn exploring their entirely new bodies while Luan deals with being attracted to her little sister, all while Leni is being her bubbly self in a much stronger and energetic body lol.
