For never having even celebrated the holiday, Sam's wife Hermione was doing an apt job at making Thanksgiving dinner. She and Dean had taken over Bobby's kitchen two days ago. There haven't been any fires and they'd only sent Sam to the store twice for forgotten ingredients. In fact, there had been a lot of laughter from that area of the house over the last two days.
Unfortunately, the day didn't start off as well as the last few had. When Hermione brought down baby Robbie for breakfast she informed Bobby and Dean that Sam had a migraine. "He's taken his medicine, but it might be a few hours before he's back on his feet. I hope you can handle the cooking alone until then, Dean."
"Of course, I can," Dean said. He smirked at her and waved at the infant in her arms.
Bobby shook his head. "How can you all still have things to cook?"
"We spread things out since there's only so many things that can go in an oven at once," Dean said. "The main thing for today is the turkey, and it's already in the fryer in the yard."
Bobby watched as Dean interacted with the baby in Hermione's arms. He would have sworn that Dean would have had kids first out of the two of his boys. Despite his claims to the contrary, he was really good with kids. "I can always sit with Little Man. We can watch the Macy's parade together."
Hermione smiled fondly at him. "I think that would be wonderful." She looked at the infant in her arms. "What do you think, baby? Want to watch the parade with Grandpa? I promised Uncle Dean that I'd make him a pie today, and it wouldn't do to disappoint him, would it?" Robbie gurgled happily at her and continued to do so when she settled him into Bobby's arms.
