Well this story will be centered around this new self insert, but don't fret Naruto and the others will be introduced later. With that being said enjoy this chapter and give me ANY insight or constructive criticism I might need.
Darkness shrouded the area clouding my judgment, sight, and awareness. It felt like a nightmare, a fever dream, or something that only happens within an fantasy. My memory was hazy and proved useless. I walked around in confusion or rather I walked aimlessly having no purpose and seemingly having no escape route. I sat in silence, thinking heavily, I felt my patience slipping as nothing was going on.
'Heh, I enjoy this silent, dark, abyss. I could get used to this.'
This statement quickly became false as my sanity grew thin and hallucinations developed as did my time in this chamber. Several years passed is what I wanted to believe, because my mental state was on its last legs. In reality I didn't know how time flew in this foreign darkness, so to keep my mind busy, I would recite and count earths' west time hours. This did me some justice in the long run. Patience wasn't a strong suit of mine, in my past and hopefully returning life, I was a rambunctious, laxed, and hyper active individual. I counted the next few months, my body was on the ground fully energized, knowing I've been in here for well over a decade, I wondered why I wasn't completely dead or was I dead already? Is Earth still around? What is the state of my family? These thoughts rushed through my head over and over again leaving me in straight silence.
??? Timeline…
I don't know how long it's been at this point, I stopped counting well over a millennia ago as for what I once again believed. My mental state has shattered like thin ice as I start to question everything.
'What the hell is this place?! Is this hell? Heaven from what I was taught, is a wonderful land where pain and sorrow no longer troubled you. But THIS! Is this some sort of divine punishment! Why me?! The selfishness of humanity shined in me at this moment. 'What have I done to deserve this? This insanity! I'm losing it every second! Or is it even seconds?! Hahaha! I can't even kill myself! Damnit! DAMNIT! IF THERE WAS ANY POSSIBLE WAY I COULD LEAVE THIS FORSAKEN GOD BANISHING ABYSS I WOULD!'
My rage grew, but the shouting stopped. Tears rushed profusely, my rage reached its climax and swelled up inside my core, I used every fiber of my being to escape this hell, I slammed my fists on the ground, struck the air, sprinting in every nook and cranny, but it was all futile.
"Sniff, it's… Over. I'll never escape…" I cried in silence and a deep despair fell over me at that moment.
Much, much, later…
I was a mere shell of my previous self, I constantly was fed memories of the past knowing that returning back wasn't about to occur anytime soon. I once again tried to question the logic of an illogical place.
'I cannot get hungry here, I cannot get tired, what is the point of this? God, if you're out there please.' My lips quivered and my eyes began to pour. I mustered all of my courage and casted away my pride. So, I asked, "please help me."
There was a chilling silence that I was used to at this point but was still unnerving, and I thought my plea didn't matter. Yet, moments later a white orb came towards me. I was cautious but thought back to what was said earlier, and gave chase. The orb was still a far distance away from me, but as soon as I made contact, cold murky water was thrown on my face.
Sunlight beamed on my face, slowly looking up, an angered woman that seemed to be a kunoichi glared at me intensely. She wore silk gray slacks with cloud patterns drawn on them. Her eyes were brown and her hair was long but quite messy, she wore a black top with lighting art etched on it and her shinobi sandals had a heap of dirt and grim on the sides of it. Realizing that theres' actual sunlight here I uttered.
"I'm… Out of prison?!"
The kunoichi standing above me gave off a look of confusion, "What are you on about Anji? Did Jacki-chan hit your head too hard with her signature round-house kick? Well if she did I'll give you a rundown of the situation."
Flashback…
It was a bright day in Kumogakure and three children were about to test their limits against each other and their sensei. Now for the children in question, there was Anji, a rambunctious kid that basically spawned out of nowhere, his parents nowhere to be found. Apparently, the Raikage knows his mother, yet vague he stated that she was once a part of the special forces anbu but sadly disappeared due unknown reasons on a mission a couple years ago. So in respect of his mother the Raikage rented a home for this five year old child and hes' been living ever sense. Jackie, is an uppity child that loves to test her strengths against her opponents. Her mother was killed in the eight tails losing control and thrashing the village, she was too young to even understand words at that point. Her father was a laid back shinobi helping mentor up and coming instructors. Finally, theres' Crestic, a quiet boy that no one really knows about, who mainly keeps to himself and fights with a lot of ninja tools. Now, for what occured to have Anji in this current state we've have to go back to the sparring match in training ground 507.
"Come at me Jackie-chan!" Anji shouted, getting the girls' attention.
"Do you really want this?" She asked, cracking her knuckles ready for battle.
"You bet!" Anji smiled.
"Ok."
They ran at each other, Jacki obviously being way more skilled than Anji easily maneuvers his attempts at punching her and lands her so called trademark round-house kick knocking him out upon contact.
"I tried to tell him." She sighs with no remorse in her tone.
"I suppose so." The kunoichi from earlier agreed as she picked up Anji taking him somewhere.
Jackie spotted this, "where are you going Tanshi sensei?"
Scratching her poorly taken care of hair she answers. "I'm just gonna take him home or wake him up."
Jackie accepts this, waves her goodbye and calls crestics' name, so the true challenge in her eyes can begin.
End of flashback…
Grasping the situation, memories rushed in my head causing a long headache.
'Damn this hurts! So, I'm seven years old and I was training for the Ruism. A ceremony that will begin when I become twelve. Welp I'm just glad to be out. My new mission is to humble Jackie. The sad thing is, she sees me as a weakling, and I'm sure this kid named Anji hasn't even tapped into his latent potential. Man this is troublesome. But, I'll be taking care of things from here, thanks for this Anji, and give Kami my thanks as well. In my pursuit of power I'll definitely become hungry for it later down the road, but nothings' gonna stop me from living my new life.' I mused.
"Alright brat, get up." Tanshi instructed. "We're gonna get you stronger."
"Ah" I stood up and dusted off the dirt smeared on my shirt. "Hmph."
"Gi-Gi, are we gonna train?" I calmly asked.
"Gi-Gi?!" She shouted as veins started to appear on her forehead. 'Who the fuck does this brat think he is?! Looks like I need to knock some sense into him!'
She turned around with a furious aura.
'Did I say something wrong?' I thought.
At that moment I felt true fear, a womans' wrath was something that should not be provoked.
"I AM NOT A GRANDMA!" She yelled at the top of her lungs while striking me in the chin, sending me flying.
"Damn you!" I shouted in the air.
"Hmph, such a potty mouth."
My body crashed onto the soft grassland.
'What the hell was that gag punch? Ugh, my jaw hurts so much. I swear I'll get stronger and challenge that bitch! But, I need to focus, I have five years to become strong enough to win this Ruism event. Well, the only thing to do now is to try and unlock my chakra.' I mused.
I sat down with my legs crossed, closing my eyes and focused deeply.
'woo. Focus harder, calm your breathing, and relax your mind.'
I exhaled, becoming completely silent.
Still in the center of cloud city was Tanshi lazily searching for me.
'Which direction did I send him again? No matter, he'll make his way back. She thought while yawning. More importantly though, I need to get back to Jackie and Crestic, since those two and that weakling Anji will be doing missions on their own soon.'
She wandered around the city buying several items before heading towards a training field.
"Munch, munch, alrighty then, hmm… Where is it?" She mumbled. "Oh! Training field 507, they should be here."
She entered the grounds and saw a short girl wearing a long wrinkled gray and black top with tattered jeans.
"Hm? Oh Tanshi Sensei!" Jackie yelled with a huge smile.
"Where's Crestic?"
"Oh, he's sleeping over there." She answered. "Wait, what happened to Anji? I thought he was with you?"
Sweat fell from her brow, "well he ended up going somewhere without telling me. He'll find us later." She explained. "But, for now we're gonna train your taijutsu and chakra control."
Jackie nodded her head in approval.
Five hours later or 9:00 pm.
"Whew, that's enough training for today." Tanshi stated.
"Huff, huff, ok." Jackie replied while dropping on the grass.
'That was fun but really trying. I wonder where that fool Anji is.' Crestic mused.
Three hours later…
'Don't fall asleep! I'm almost there!'
Rain pouring down into a river was etched into my mind, awakening my chakra.
'Finally, I'm finished. I'll assume my chakra pool has to be pretty huge for it to take this long. Now with this feeling, I must train and up my physical prowess. I do have to remember I'm only seven in this body. Hm, thirty push ups and some chakra control training should be fine.' I mused.
I began by getting into a push up position.
'Alright, this should be easy, right?' I thought with uncertainty.
I lowered my body and tried to slowly come back up.
'Come on! Arghh! Fuck this weak ass body!'
My body came crashing down on the grass.
'Looks like I'll need to slowly build up strength, I suppose controlling my chakra is the only thing I can do now.'
I struggled to get into a seated position.
"Huff, huff, this is how I got my ass beat by that girl. Never again." I vowed.
I closed my eyes and focused to conjure up my chakra.
'Now!'
I stood up and opened my eyes slowly moving towards a massive oak tree.
'Mold your chakra, control it, do not put too much power into one step.'
As soon as my foot came into contact with the tree I was forced backwards.
'Damnit! What went wrong? Wait, I have a larger chakra pool than normal. Hm, this'll cause problems later on if I don't master this now.' I mused. 'Well, instead of doing the tree walk, I'll do the leaf exercise.'
I searched around on the ground until I found a fallen branch with a few deadish leaves on it.
'Perfect.'
I placed the dried out leaf on my forehead and focused all my chakra into. The leaf slightly lifted into the air.
'Yes! That's one exercise down! Now, to take down the tree walk.'
I stretched out my short legs and built up chakra on the soles of my feet. Without wasting any more energy I sprinted towards the tree.
'Let's see how this will go.'
This time my foot didn't get repelled but instead stook onto the trees front side.
'Hahaha! I'm just different! Now to master this.'
I paced myself slowly, walking at moderate speed several tries later. I did this until I could fully sprint up the tree. This went on for a few hours.
"Huff, huff, whew. Th-that was a work out. Time to get better at taijutsu." I uttered in an exhausted tone.
I stood up with my legs shaking.
'Alright, huff, I need to up all my physical abilities first. Let's see if I can do some sit ups or jumping jacks.' I pondered.
I laid my back on the rough grass and lifted my legs up.
'Ok let's hope I can actually do this .'
I lifted my chest and touched my legs, then slowly went down.
'one, ok this isn't too bad. Two, three, four.'
This went on for a while until my body couldn't handle the strain anymore.
"Huff, ugh, damn that was rough, now I'm at my physical limit. I can't even move at the moment, I'll just doze off."
I closed my eyes, feeling the slight but warm breeze pass me.
'This is actually real. I'm out of the infinite darkness, I'm still grateful to Anji and Kami.'
The morning arrived in an instant.
"Ugh, my back is killing me."
I stretched my short limbs and began walking out of the forest I was punched into.
'Now how do I get back to Kumogakure?' I mused.
I began walking further away from the city unknowingly.
"Tch, Stupid bitch! Why'd she punch me?! I vow I'll never acknowledge her as a sensei! I'll obtain power my own way!" I shouted angrily.
I continued to walk, shifting directions, sprinting, going south, east, ect. Yet I was unsuccessful.
Three hours later or 9:20 am for reference.
'Forget returning! I'm not busting my ass to find Kumogakure! Nature is where I'll stay.' I proclaimed.
Brrrrr, my stomach growled loudly as if it was telling me to stop cappin.
'This is the first time I've felt hunger, and it sucks. Well, it looks like I either make a living out here which I'm not cut out for, or waste my time by trying to find Kumogakure. Damn you Tanshi.'
Yawn, "what time is it?" Jackie mumbled.
A sweet scent flowed from the kitchen.
'That smells amazing! Tanshi sensei must be cooking!'
Jackie stretched and put her slippers on before leaving the room and heading downstairs.
"Oh, your finally up huh?" Tanshi stated while leaning on the counter.
"I was exhausted from yesterday, wait, where's Crestic and Anji?" Jackie asked.
"Crestic left after eating, hes' meditating. Anji is nowhere to be found. Either way, here eat some breakfast." Tanshi explained.
"Ok thanks!" She shouted happily. 'Where are you Anji, why'd you have to disappear?'
Tanshi walked back to the table with glimmering scrambled eggs, glossy waffles, and orange juice.
"Wow, you got even better at cooking!" Jackie praised.
"Hmph! Oh course. I am the great Tanshi, queen of cooking!"
"Right…."
"Just eat your food and get ready to find that idiot." She instructed.
"Ok!"
I laid quietly deep within a forest feeling the calm breeze fly over me.
'Damn I'm hungry I wis-'
During my thoughts I heard a branch break and instantly became alerted.
'Where are you gonna come from bear? I'm ready!'
To my surprise Crestic came from the shadows with an annoyed expression.
"Where the hell have you been? Anji?" He sternly asked.
"I've been trying to find Kumogakure." I replied.
"Huh? How'd you even get into this situation?"
'Is this bastard really gonna integrate me?' I mused. "That doesn't matter anymore, let's go back."
"Hmph, you're such a loser, but let's go." He stated.
"Sure, but you wasted your time searching for this loser living his best life. Pathetic."
"Shut up already!"
I followed, as we walked in silence.
Twenty minutes later…
"We're here." Crestic uttered.
"I can see that idiot, let's find the others."
'Tch, why is Anji so different now? What happened to the goofy push over? I gotta find out.' Crestic mused.
Crestic gripped my shoulder tightly, "hey Anji…"
"What?" I asked, visibly confused.
"Fight me right now!" He demanded with a serious expression.
'Is he trying to test my strength? No matter, I'll crush him!'
"Fine! I'll fight you." I smiled maniacally.
"A-alright." He stuttered. 'What was that smile? I have a bad feeling about this.'
We walked to training ground 507 and dashed backwards effectively gaining distance between each other.
'How should I approach him? He seems way stronger than before. Hm, I'll just overwhelm him with my taijutsu.' Crestic mused.
He started to sprint towards me, changing directions before striking.
"You won't hit me like that" I taunted.
Crestic threw several jabs and two kicks, blocked both kicks and dodged his fists.
'How is he dodging me like this? Where'd he get this reaction speed?!' He pondered.
'Looks like all my training paid off, I can't get too cocky though, We are children. I'll end this quickly.'
"You're open." I stated, focusing intensely.
I closed the distance between us and landed a punch on his face stopping him in his tracks.
"This all you got?" I taunted once more. "You're gonna let a loser beat you?"
"Shut up!" He screamed in an outburst
Crestic rushed in without thinking and was once again sent back by getting punched in the face. Before the fight could continue any further Tanshi and Jackie entered the training ground.
"Ok! About to get to train-" Her sentence was stopped as she saw us fighting.
"Tch, you win for now Anji. You won't get away with this!" Crestic swore.
"Hmph, we'll see."
Jackie ran up and tackled me to the ground. With tears flowing from her eyes she screams, "where have you been?!"
'This is pretty awkward, so I'll do this in original Anji fashion.' I thought.
In a smooth gesture I embraced Jackie in my arms.
"I'm glad to see you again, Jackie."
Jackie's tears ceased and was now at ease. I immediately let go of her and stood up glaring at Tanshi for our previous encounter.
'Tch, little brat, I'll force you to respect me as your sensei.' she mused.
"Alright, Crestic, Jackie, and…. Anji. We'll start the training no-
Her sentence was cut off, "I vowed to myself I'll never recognize you as my instructor." I stated glaring.
Faking to be confused, Tanshi retaliates, "what did I do to deserve such words?!"
My anger reached its boiling point. "You left me for three days! And expect me to forgive you?! You're a fool!"
I infused chakra in my toes launching several feet into the air, landing on a tree.
'Tch! I'll gain strength on my own!' I dashed away after thinking this.
Crestic stares at Tanshi looking for an explanation, Jackie copies this.
Sigh, "I don't know what his deal was…"
Jackie, furious at this response yells, "tell the truth sensei!"
Crestic nods in agreement.
"Look, he was extremely disrespectful, calling me an old hag! So I punched him in the chin, sending him somewhere."
"Did you search for him at least?" Jackie asked.
"Hmph, of course I did! What do you take me for?! I just didn't look for long and assumed he would return on his own." Tanshi explained.
Sigh, "I guess we can't blame you for that…" Jackie stated. "But, I'm ready to train!"
"Alright let's get going!" Tanshi replied. "Crestic, hurry up!"
However, these words fell on deaf ears, Crestic leaned on a tree in deep thought. 'How could I! Crestic! Lose to someone like Anji?! Where'd he find this strength?! How is he this strong! What happened to the loser I used to know?!' he slammed his fist against the tree he was leaning on.
"Crestic?" Tanshu and Jackie said in unison.
His thought was interrupted by this, "huh?"
"Are you finally ready to train?"
"Oh… ya, hahaha. Hey, you think we can train purely on taijutsu."
Tanshi ponders this for a sec, "hmph, why not. Let's get to it!"
Several miles away from cloud city…
A chilled breeze flew through the canyon, I calmly stood, gazing ahead.
Sigh, "I have five years, no… a little less than that to prepare for Ruism. My biggest weakness is my taijutsu and using ninjutsu, so I'll focus solely on that for a while. But wait, I need to find out what my chakra natures are and harness it.' I mused. Doesn't that mean I need to go back to cloud city? Just my luck, welp time to get moving. I should make it before the sun rises.'
For perspective it's currently 10:20p.m.
I stretched my lower body and got into a track position, infusing chakra throughout my cabs, my body thrusts forward.
'I forgot how nice the air feels. That sign I spotted earlier said I need to head east for cloud city.' yawn, 'but my seven year old body won't have the stamina to make it all the way there. So I'll just take a nap.'
Time skip, 9 hours…
"Ugh, why do I feel so groggy, yet so much stronger?"
I stood up and began throwing random jab combos in the air.
'Hm, I wonder if that fight against Crestic is the catalyst for this? Eh, it doesn't matter. I need to find a Shinobi shop, or a bookstore. Kumogakure is by far the most advanced village.'
"Oh yeah!" (Crash)
'What the hell was that?! Imma check it out just in case I could robb a fallen shinobi.' I mused.
I grabbed a scarf from my back pocket and wore it as a face mask. After this, I slowly headed towards that stream from earlier.
'I'll have to move quietly, I don't know if there's any hidden enemy Shinobi around.'
"Raaaa!" (Boom)
"Haaaa!" (Slam)
'Was that a female voice? But it sounds so deep and drawn out? What is going on here?'
I walked closer and closer until I found the source of the sound. Two people were sparing together, using these strange abilities infused with this bubblily aura, attacking each other. One was muscular and seemed a bit stoic, yet his cornrow hairstyle threw me a bit off. He wore a white shirt that exposed the left side of his chest and from what I could see he had plenty of short swords sheathed onto his back. His eyes were guarded by dark brown goggles, and his attire showed that he was an elite kumogakure shinobi.
Yet the other was a female. She had long blonde hair slightly darker than usual. It was tied downward by a spiral of white bandages, the kumogakure headband was positioned on her forehead, bandages covered her forearms to her hands. I was starting to think she had an odd obsession with them. She wore a sleek black and gray top with chinese art clouds on the left side. A red scarf was wrapped around her waist as her jeans were a darker shade of purple as if it was imitating black. Her weapon of choice were bland steel claws.
'Such odd clothing choices, who are these two?'
My thoughts were cut short when the woman spotted me.
"Hm? Who are you!" She shouted approaching cautiously.
I stayed silent, dripping sweat.
"Hmph, so you think I'll let you stay hidden?"
She dashed towards the tree slashing it diagonally.
"Ugh, uh…" I stuttered.
I tried running away, but the woman saw this coming and grabbed the back of my shirt.
"What's your name kid?"
"It's Anji! Remember it well!"
Her eyebrow twitched. "Cocky little brat… Hey bee." She called out to the man scribbling in a notepad.
"Ya, wassup, yi-gi-to."
"Why do you always have to sound my name out like that? So, what should we do with this kid? I found eavesdropping." Yugito glared daggers at me like she was plotting something.
"Well, what does he want, ya fool, ya fool." He rhymed terribly.
Yugito face palmed at bee's lackluster rhymes.
"Well, what do you want, kid? You succeeded in interrupting our sparring session"
"Well, I was headed to cloud city to unlock my chakra nature. I stated sarcastically. But I heard something this way and found you guys having a playdate."
After clearly insulting Yugito on purpose I dusted off my already torn attire.
"Pla-play date?!" Yujito's anger slowly rose as those words rang through her head.
"You damned brat! Come back here!"
'Oh shiiiiiiiiit! Move, legs move!'
Through my peril, I didn't notice an unusually large root and tripped over it, rolling down the lush rocky hill.
"Just my luck!" I screamed as my body came tumbling down.
"You're not getting away!" Yugito declared.
She leaped, pounced, and surged chakra throughout her body enhancing her overall ability.
"Haaa!"
With one last push off the front side of a jungle tree she darts towards me looking accomplished.
"You're not catching me grandma!" I shout while regaining my balance.
Forcing chakra through my lower muscles, I leaped four yards away instantly feeling the reproductions.
"Gra-grandma?!" A tic formed on her forehead as her anger grew.
'Tch! The audacity of this kid! Matatabi!' She shouts in her head.
'Eh? Why so loud yugito?' A voice answers.
'Lend me the partial paw transformation!' She demands.
'Ok. But why are you so mad?'
This seems to annoy Yugito further as 'this brat called me, a grandma!'
'Hahaha!' The deepish voice laughs. 'You're truly mad at this kid? But if you insist, be nicer next time.'
The link between the two was cut off, as Yugito's eyes became slit-like and resembled a jaguar, she grew kanines and her gaze became ferocious, as her limbs proceeded to turn into a hazy blue flame slowly shaping into tiger paws.
"There's no running now…" Yugito muttered.
She charged energy within her thighs blasting forward, extending her massive right paw, slamming my head onto the ground. As soon as she connected, the strange aura dissipated, and her human features returned.
"Huff, huff, finally got you brat." She stammered slightly fatigued.
"Ow…" Yugito lightly tossed me onto the front side of an oak tree.
"Firstly, your disrespect is appalling! You called me a grandma?! Then you said Bee and I were on a playdate? Blah, blah, blah…" Yugito continued to chew me out.
'Why does she have to nag me so much? So, Bee is the name of the rhymer from before. I wonder if this lady will help me train? Let's see if the teary eyed, guilt trip strategy will work. Muhahaha.' I deviously planned.
"Do you understand me?!" Yugito sternly shouts.
Seeing a chance to execute my plan Tears flew from my eyes, my lips started to quiver, and I got into a begging position.
"Im-I'm sorry miss… Sniff, I just wanted to see you guys fight… sniff. And-and I just wanted to become strong like you."
I faced downward as tears started to flow profusely and Yugito's aggressive gaze slowly faltered.
'Hehe, got yo ass.' I thought.
Yugito kneeled down and smiled.
"I could've helped you if that's all you wanted. Names Yugito and I'll be your sensei."
'Hahaha! YES! YES! YES! My plan worked! Now, I gotta use this to the max! I'll show you Tanshi!' I mused.
"R-really?!" My eyes lit up as I hugged the now startled Yugito, she embraced the hug ruffling my mid-height afro.
"Haha, really." He replied.
A few minutes after this event…
"Alright, let's spar." Yugito stated, moving her right hand up and her left down getting into a stance.
I had a quizzical expression, noticing this, Yugito spoke up. "We're about to spar so I can gauge your strengths, weaknesses, and things you would need to learn prior."
I nodded my head after understanding and got into a stance of my own. my feet were spread apart from each other, my right foot was extended forward for quick lunges and my back was used for extra power. My left arm was behind me, while my right was hanging down. Yugito stood analyzing my stance before shaking her head in bewilderment. Yugito cleared her throat and gestured to me to come at her.
'Giving me the first move huh? How thoughtful.'
I picked up a tree branch with my hanging arm, trying to not break the stance.
"What're gonna do with a mere twig?" Yugito taunted, lowering her guard.
'Trying to bait me now are we? Tuff luck.'
I infused chakra within my finger tips launching the twig towards the direction I knew she would dodge.
A slight snap could be here a few meters ahead of me as the twig broke on impact.
'That was pretty smart kid.' She thought before ducking an incoming branch.
"Are you just going to throw things at me or actually fight?" She asked, more or less curious about my answer.
I paused for a sec before speaking, "I have no chance in a physical brawl and you can easily blitz me, so I'll take my chances."
Her expression turned dry as she knew there was no point of continuing this farce. "Way to ruin a potential ass beating you are deserving of. But, from what I could gauge from our little battle is, your chakra control."
I looked at her confused, 'my chakra control? I mean it makes sense. I solely focused on that aspect of my fighting style for a bit now.'
Yugito continued speaking, "for your age at least your chakra control is the best I've seen. When there's other geniuses in Kumogakure like Omoi or Samui, it's hard to see who'll come out on top."
"Interesting." I spoke with a hint of determination. "Well, I'll just need to prove my worth!" I lifted my fist clenching it tightly for a few seconds. Yugito stared at me with an animated face. "Is that your super inspiration pose?"
A blush quickly ran over my face, "n-no!" I stammered before gaining my composure. "Let's just continue with the training session…"
Yugito had a burst of laughter. "Alright brat. Hahahaha." Wiping away her tears Yugito turned to me. "So, your stance…." She placed a hand on her chin before speaking once more.
"My stance?" I asked, looking confused for the third time today.
"Well, while analyzing your fighting style I don't understand your stance's purpose." She explained. "A stance is used for any beginning attack, follow up, or counter. But the way you stood.."
I cut her off before she could continue. "Didn't meet those standards."
She nodded in agreement. 'How does this brat have good grammar at such a young age? And he is a very good tactician from the quick decisions he was forced to make during our spar.' Her thoughts were interrupted by seeing me in a meditative pose.
"Hm? What're you doing Anji?"
I opened one of my baggy eyes. "I'm trying to advance my usage and flow of chakra, I don't know why this method works for me."
Yugito sighed as she saw a long road ahead of us.
"Alright time for lectures. I'm a firm believer in reading and visual learning so that's what we'll do for the foreseeable future. I groaned in displeasure but knew there was no way of getting out of this. With a long stretch l have my new sensei my full attention.
"Ok now we'll be talking about chakra first. Chakra isn't just something you use to make you stronger. It's our spiritual flow of energy, it's also within our blood stream. Now, for the more dangerous sides of chakra, the gates. There are up to eight gates in our bodies that have a great deal of compressed chakra within them that if opened enhances your overall person greatly. Yet there are grave reproductions for this."
My eyes were now focused due to not knowing what these gates' after effects were.
"After opening the first five gates, if the body is not trained to the extreme, your bones will snap like twigs due to the pure strain of the technique. Now onto the sixth its' essentially the same as the fifth just a bit worse. The seventh gate gives a way more severe toll on the body and should only be used for a little over a couple minutes, otherwise… Every bone in your body will shatter."
A sweat came down from my face after hearing that. 'These gates are truly that dangerous? So, one should only rely on them if they're in peak physical condition.' I mused before refocusing on the explanation.
"Now the final gate I've only read of this one in books or heard of a leaf ninja using it. But the gate of death is the most devastating and powerful of the gate awakenings. As the name implies you die after using it. The sheer force of the attacks kills many within seconds. I'll end the lecture with this, if I ever see you relying on these gates… I'll personally beat you senseless."
I sat there perplexed at her statement but understood.
'Judging from the expression she was serious, and wasn't about to find out how much damage Yugito can do with the slightest bit of motivation.'
"Ok sensei I won't use it. So don't worry." I stated with an exhausted sigh.
Yugito stood and turned east. "Well I'm heading off, come to training ground 678 5:00a.m. sharp or I'll make your life hell for the next five years.
