Everything in class was silent except for the sounds of pencil writing, occassional paper movement, and Mr. Garrison's keyboard typing. Jayden briefly looked up from his writingm timidly raising his hand in hopes of getting Mr. Garrison's attention. Although the class had been copying and solving the math problems on the board, it seems that whatever Garrsion was working on the computer, was occupying too much of his attention for him to notice. Jayden glances around the room with a contemplative look before tearing out a sheet of paper from the notepad the teacher gave him earlier. The arupt sound gets the attention of a few kids, including Craig and Cartman, who watched him scribble before crumpling it into a ball, and toss it at Mr. Garrison. The ball hit him on the chest, then landed onto the desk. Small gasps are heard as Garrison stood up in anger, grabbing the paper ball.
"Ok, who threw this-huh?" the teacher stopped speaking, confused as Jayden raised his hand shyly, then pointed at the ball. The teacher opens up the crushed paper and reads the writing before releasing a big sigh, massaging his temple between his thumb and index finger. "Jayden, next time you need to get my attention, just come up to my desk ok? No more paper balls. Butters, can you show Jayden where the bathroom is?"
"Yes Mr. Garrison!" Butters replied, walking before stopping at the door, giving Jayden a small, soft smile as he leaves his desk and walks out with his classmate.
Once they were a few feet away from the class, Butters piped, "Wowiee! I don't think anyone could do what you just did and NOT get yelled at by Mr. Garrison! Why, if I did that, my parents would ground me fer sure!" Butters smiled at Jayden, waiting for a response before realization hit him. "Oh hamburgers! I'm sorry about that, I forgot that you don't talk.." he sheepishly stated, squishing his two index fingers together in embarassment until Jayden stopped walking. Butters stopped as he watched him take the notepad and pen out from the large front pocket of his hoodie and start writing. Jayden turned the notepad around for Butters to read, which said "It's ok, thank you for helping me", ending with a small smilely face. Butters looked up at Jayden's face, and even though his scarf covered his mouth, now understood what adults meant when they say that some people "smile with their eyes", as he could practically see it in his hazel eyes. The small blonde couldn't help but have a big smile on his face, "Of course! It's no trouble at all!" he happily replied, as the two boys continued towards the bathroom.
"Well, here we are!" Butters announced, as he opened the door, holding it open for Jayden to walk through before letting go of it. "So, uh, are you one of those fellers that can't use the bathroom unless no one else is in there, or do you just mind your business by doing your business?" Butters laughed, until he heard a sharp sort of snort sound. Jayden, who was about to write, held the back of his hand against where his mouth would be, looking down. At first Butters had hoped that maybe he made the new kid laugh before brushing it off, thinking that maybe he just heard someone fart in one of the stalls. The brunette finished writing before quickly giving the notepad and pen to Butters and rushing into the stall.
Looking at the notepad, he saw the previous writing scratched out on top and new writing below it that said "I feel more relaxed when there's noise in the bathroom, so I don't mind when people are here". "Oh! Well if it helps, there's a song I like to sing whenever I'm do something alone," Butters spoke, "Loo loo loo I got some apples, loo loo loo you've got some too! Loo loo loo let's get together, loo loo loo-". Butters' singing was interrupted by the sound of a flushing toilet as Jayden emerged out of the stall. "Did the song help?" he asked Jayden while he wiped his hands dry with a paper towel. Jayden took the notepad and pen back, scribbled a bit, then turned the notepad around for Butters to read: "I like the song, it sounds silly". "Yeah it is pretty silly, but that's why it's my favorite song to sing! It always puts me in a good mood!" Butters responded happily as he opened the bathroom door again for Jayden. "Let's hurry back to class before we get in trouble!" Butters continued as they walked back down the hallway together.
