Nick Fury, the one-eyed director of S.H.I.E.L.D., walks into the cosplay store to shop for eye patches. Somehow they always had the best eye patches on sale. He looks around the store and sees a variety of eye patches on display.
As he examines the different eye patches, he thinks about the different missions he has been on and the battles he has fought. He knows that having a reliable eye patch is crucial to his success as a spy and a leader. It was a key factor in making himself look cool and intimidating.
He finally settles on a black leather eye patch with an adjustable strap. It has a sleek and professional look, which is perfect for his line of work. He would have bought the pirate one but Maria Hill always made him return those eye patches back. He had tried to hide them but she always found it in the end.
Just then his phone rang and he picked it up after it rang for a while, "Yes?"
"We have got some news of a bio weapon being developed in Australia sir. Possible meta was sighted in that vicinity" Phil replied.
Fury was baffled, "Since when were there supervillains in Australia? I can't think of one at the back of my head. The villains are either an American or an African. There are also plenty of those from Asia with their martial art mumbo jumbo and all their gang stuff."
"Indeed sir. What shall we do?"
Nick thought for a while and replied, "Send in the new Avengers trainee. Give them some experience."
Phil said, "Yes sir"
That always worked. Whenever any field problem came up push them onto avengers and clean up and take all the mess they made. Free labor and free loot at the end of each battle without the need to spare any manpower or resources for the battle.
Patting himself on the back for the idea of avengers he went back to his black eye patches. One of these had a cool silver lining but the other had a red glow. Unable to decide he ends up purchasing both. Maybe he could save one of them for some more special occasions?
A/N:I find it so weird that I can't think of a single Australian Superhero or villain.
