Enchanted
A/N Yes, all the titles in this series are going to be named after songs. This is all the important kind of moments in Slexie's relationship, leading up to the plane crash. I'm going to rewrite that, but this is like the prequel.

The way he looked at her was new. Even thought she was totally in adoration stage with George, Dr Sloan was something different. He was older and hotter and slightly foxy. She wasn't supposed to like him, but there was something liberating about the fact she could tell an attending to shut up and he couldn't do anything about it. In fact she caught him smirking a couple of times. Was he always this unprofessional?
George was her friend, her roommate, no her best friend. He was the perfect person to obsess about because they already lived together, they'd already kissed and he was only a little out of her league. The only spanner in the works was the fact he'd slept with Meredith last year. But other than that minor detour he'd taken in sanity, he was perfect. Perfect Dr George O'Malley. So why couldn't she stop thinking about another doctor?
Dr Sloan was so far out of her league that he could've been running it. He was sitting his SATs when she was sitting in diapers. He was the epitome of her doctorate training dreams, double-board certified top-of-his-field dreams. And he was smiling at her. The heated battle was raging inside her mind all through surgery, she was trying to help George, trying to protect her secret and trying to ignore Dr Sloan's quippy remarks. She was so mad at him to begin with, so angry that he dare to interrupt the light flirting she was attempting with George.
But then she realised how much it pleased her to tell him to shut up. They had a back and forth, it was playful and fun to talk to him. Like making him smirk was her greatest achievement. Meredith was going to be so mad when she found out. About Sloan and probably about George too because let's just throw everything into the mix. She was totally focussed on Mark- George. She was helping him study for the intern test, she was not interested in Sloan, not by a long shot and it was all fine and could everybody stop fussing over her head please.

He can't help but want her. Derek told him that he can't have her, that he can't even think about her. That it would be unfair. She's so little. So why was she floating around his head, because Derek had planted the seed and the forbidden fruit was growing. But she was kind of amazing, she read up on things and remembered them, she knew a lot for an intern. She was going to be an impressive surgeon, so his crush was purely intellectual. Obviously. Derek just didn't realise that.
Oh who was he kidding? He wanted to get her into bed. But he was determined to ignore it, to push all naked and inappropriate thoughts of her out of his head. So why was she standing in front of him in the supply closet?
